imagine being a woman in the parole system where your male parole officer who has the ability to search your house to arrest you to send you to prison basically at any time begins to demand sexual favors that's what's been happening here in West Virginia today we filed a lawsuit against multiple West Virginia parole officers for a pattern and practice of sexual abuse of female Parolees in the Parkersburg West Virginia area imagine being a woman in the parole system where your male parole officer who has the ability to search your house to arrest you to send you to prison basically at any time begins to demand sexual favors that's what's been happening here in West Virginia imagine also that you report this to your parole officer's supervisor and he intimidates you into silence and allows it to continue imagine even that the FBI comes in and has to tell a parole officer to back off that he's under surveillance and meanwhile the guy is still employed as a parole officer as if it's just par for the course this is has been an unbelievable Scandal here in West Virginia a scandal that even now nobody has even known about except for the victims as well as the FBI well now it's laid out in the lawsuit that we just filed this morning posted in full at the blog at the Civil Rights lawyer.com a link to which you'll find in the description I've also posted another lawsuit that was just filed on behalf of some other additional victims by a different Law Firm now defendant Anthony demetro was a parole officer with the West Virginia Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation based out of Wood County West Virginia parole office over a period of time he sexually abused multiple female Parolees under his direct supervision including my client now when she recorded evidence against him and took it to his supervisor David Jones she was ordered by him to destroy the evidence and to keep her mouth shut outrageously the abusers direct supervisor engaged in a cover-up but the victims kept coming forward as oftentimes happens and the FBI became involved they ended up catching them all basically in a sting now my client identified in the lawsuit by her initials tragically was already victimized and the West Virginia correctional system she was therefore vulnerable to these sorts of predators when her parole officer began to engage in misconduct she bravely recorded him six recordings she created in all and she took these recordings to this Predator supervising parole officer for this region his name was David Jones instead of protecting her and other female Parolees from this Predator he ordered her instead to destroy the evidence telling her that the Predator Anthony De Metro was his friend he told her to just stick it out until she was off parole meanwhile other women were victimized and my client was forced to live in fear and in humiliation who according to the other lawsuit that was filed which I've also posted at the blog other female victims were coming forward to State parole officials only to be ignored which is absolutely unacceptable thankfully the FBI was listening and began an investigation once the supervisor caught wind that the feds were investigating he went to my client he thought was behind the scenes anyways and demanded Silence from her he instructed her to lie and to conceal the misconduct from the feds but it was too late she was already working with the FBI wearing a wire they were already they were already undercover agents around my client just to ensure her safety as the guy was aggressively engaging in this attempted cover-up just to point out how nuts this all is during this entire time he was still working as a supervisory parole officer meanwhile the FBI finally had to tell him to back off that they had him under surveillance and not to approach my client now the feds have indicted Anthony demetro his indictment is posted in full at the blog they also filed a criminal information charge against the Metro's supervisor David Jones I've posted that as well at the blog and those are both defendants and the civil case and we also went to all the way up the chain to the the supervisor of that guy and then the director of all of the parole services so the feds are Prosecuting as well at least those two individuals the fact that the supervisor David Jones has been charged by information obviously indicates that he's cooperating and has agreed to testify against the Metro but imagine a system that apparently has existed here imagine and just now exposed imagine a system so backwards that the same woman is victimized not once but twice before she makes it out by the way I believe that this is the same West Virginia parole office where I once posted video of of a guy my client getting pulled over and handcuffed by a road raging off-duty parole officer driving his girlfriend's uh Audi and that guy then quit his job left the state and my client did fortunately get a small settlement from the state in that situation this also reminds me of a case I previously had where a male CPS worker was going up to women and telling them that that CBS had received a complaint about them but that he could make it all go away for a non-monetary fee if you know what he means that case also settled early on not surprisingly like here there was no reason not to believe the victims in that case as there were multiple victims who didn't even know each other and they were all telling basically the same story the lawsuit in this case was just filed today so it's early in the process and if you Google these types of lawsuits across the country which there have been many you'll see that the common theme is a publishing liability it's not necessarily easy of course that's not really an issue with the main perpetrator but that person is always going to get thrown under the bus and the government generally doesn't just step forward to voluntarily compensate the victims of of its of its agents of its employees it's like when you put your hands on a government employee they have special charges for you and they throw the book at you but when it's the reverse they're hands off they're not responsible for the criminal acts of their employees etc etc I've therefore included an assortment of legal theories in the complaint that I believe hopefully may get the job done you can
