you
well obviously I swung too wide on the
ground about instead of recycling or
okay you guys coming through the
roundabout yeah
I went to slow down and it just
it's awesome to you
sir
Tom Henry yes sir it's quite get you I
just do the okay that's good enough I
don't do that for the kovic I understand
so you guys want to stand over here
closer to the car so we don't get hit so
which which it was me
so you're just coming out of the
roundabout and you're on oatmeal I went
around I was going this way okay I
thought I'd hit major curve and I didn't
okay that was my fault
[Applause]
gonna need the driver's license and
insurance casual
exceptionally
how many people in your car just
my wife and me
Denise
business card nope well that's the
driver's license no driver's license
Insurance Fair auto insurance
it's one
foreign
foreign
but I I'm not sure by the story okay
all right
so all right that's your health
insurance card I don't need that that's
yours is that mine
that's why I don't go when I stay here
this officer is going to take over the
investigation here
or passenger just okay we'll stay out of
the road you're gonna get hit you're on
the
you're on the southbound side this car's
coming down and you're in all dark and
they can't see it
my white shirts you don't the white
shirt's not facing the traffic I
understand so we don't want to see you
get hit you're officer circus yep thank
you mister
that's what I get for going to
fundraisers
fundraiser what fundraiser was there
tonight a Civic Theater oh okay and I
had to drop my
Don more often
anyway
it's good okay
be careful walking up there this officer
is going to take over here in a minute
you're welcome
she's very ill she has cancer and she's
very very sick she's away home right now

what's the edge
all right okay
take her right now okay look at the [ __ ]
what it takes
it's an order all right yes sir which
one's your wife in the Trump passenger
no no okay if she's too old to me my
mother oh I'm gonna have you step back
here with these officers
um bringing all the way back here that
way we don't fall in other cars
did that officers
right we understand but we care about
you too though
what's gonna
um crash is
um
[Music]
that goes on
so I'll have one down differently so
whoever can operate one of those things
how you doing sir
well I've obviously not too good okay so
you know my officers we got called her
for a crashed okay I appreciate that and
um
we just have to walk through this no I
understand we have to walk in this town
I was taking my life of my life home and
we were at the Civic Theater tonight for
a fundraiser okay somebody's wife
couldn't take her home okay so I took
them home okay coming back
either I had obviously too much to drink
or
come around and around about which I'm
not finger are you with I went over the
line I hit somebody's side being here
okay
this is what he does I I really
appreciate that and and I'm telling you
right now the way you're walking through
this I know it I know it's it's it's it
sucks but you know it sucks but the
thing is if we don't follow the steps if
we don't do this thing the right way
it always comes back yeah so what we're
going to do we're ahead a DUI or
whatever we want to call it so what
we're going to do is we're going to give
you a PVD
if you don't mind
to see where you're at there's one in
the car over there okay
you know that
um
okay we'll we'll get we'll get her home
oh no no that's fine with this I was
just in a hurry
let's do a thing big deep breath and
blow
probably
4.0
no you'd be dead if it was 4.0 I know
sorry I do appreciate your cooperation
okay uh we have to do it okay
that's a box twice about twice oh [ __ ]
yeah
let's go ahead
behind anybody do what you have to do
okay I gotta take this
Julie are you giving both of them a ride
or if if not say one of us can
that's your wife and who else
yeah who else
right there's two over there who else is
over that's my wife and what's my
mother-in-law gotcha okay somebody pick
one which ones you want no no I just you
kept saying arrive I didn't know who the
other one was no my wife I got you
she's the one who's holding she's the
one who's white I'm sorry
I gotcha and we took her out for the
first time tonight obviously
we were at a fundraiser and I poppy one
North Carolina it's me I gotcha
but it wasn't just a
pass around or
foreign
you were driving then yeah
it is what it is
I gotcha
damn traffic circles I love them but I
hate it
yeah they're not much fun no but they're
not
especially especially when you go too
wide and somebody comes into him and you
knock off every year it's
that was my wife went nuts Mama wiped
out on that one she said you've been
drinking too much nice over God's sake
we were there for five hours listen to a
wife see you're laughing
nowhere
I'll take I'll take whatever hit me
it's her I'm very much
steal my car who's stealing me because
I'm like okay it's your car I'm just
going to say who's still on my car
catch up on my wife see how she's doing
nope she's just about to leave
we have an officer that's taking her
home yeah
okay yep she they're getting ready to
leave right now she's just getting the
car all cleared out for him
so she'll get her home safe and sound
and get your mother-in-law home too
yeah
obviously
that's one too alive and
that's one tour
I think she was going straight and I was
going I think that's what happened
either I was going straight and she was
going around or I was going around she
was going straight I can't clean my
windows too but whatever was I
hit him cycling now I got you
ah God damn it there she is right there
my wife
you see it Diddy he's a pretty lady
cheers you know it's over here for me
just hang out here there's a safer for
you to see right here stay still in one
spot all right
all right
[Music]
we have quite a few accidents on
roundabouts
[Music]
not down here not usually already but
smarty vendor I I asked him from time to
time you know we're building all these
roundabouts
how many of them are really effective
do we still have a number of accidents
I just know this one right now so we
don't have that name down here on this
one at all yeah I've been to like one
maybe oh really so yeah I mean that's it
yeah I might sometimes come down here
and try to go my wife was my wife was
telling me that you know she goes in
these roundabouts like a Goshen and
Sherman suwanee's people just fly by and
they don't understand you know yield to
your left right and they just fly by and
she said several times I've been
standing my brakes I want I wonder how
many I'll come talk to Marty I wonder
how many
actions we've already had this
roundabouts because people just don't
understand you yield to your left all
right
I I don't know the answer to that I
wouldn't know either
is this your regular shift yep
Time Is Here
what was the fundraiser for
[Music]
normally that would have been fine but I
took my
mother-in-law home
you're coming back
yeah I'm not down the South part of
something very often do what I'm not
down the South part of town very often
gotcha this is not my area so going
around about obviously I swung too wide
I did not do
I don't know
and I
it is what it is
your mother-in-law lived down down south
then
[Music]
but we the city theater was downtown
gotcha and she didn't have a car so I
took her up north and came around
this is all new tonight because I hate
to say that as a mayor but I just don't
get out soft very often I got you we
dropped off a friend of my wife's over
here on Beaver Avenue okay
excuse me God came off and they're
coming home I gotcha
his girlfriend
I had to go home sick so he seemed to be
right home so I saw
should we take my wife home yet
I think she's just getting them situated
they're in the car already
real
medical problem okay all right let's go
ahead and over here she's not
you shouldn't have gone tonight but you
did
to support the Civic Theater

don't want you getting hit by a car
so if you just hang out here
he's getting caught up on what's going

all right
I understand
sorry how you doing sir well obviously
not too good okay
you know my officers
I appreciate that and um we just have to
walk through this no I understand
somebody's wife
side
I just wanted a famous family I really
appreciate that and I'm telling you
right now the way you're walking through
this I know it I know it sucks it sucks
but the thing is if we don't follow the
steps if we don't do these things the
right way yeah
so what we're going to do we're ahead a
DUI or whatever you want to call so what
we're going to do is we're going to do a
PVD oh yeah if you don't mind
yeah
it's mine
foreign

you so it's been nice working with you

I might as well start looking for other
departments now

do we have a sergeant that's b90
let's be 90 for this
um I was under the impression we were
but I could be all wrong I will I'm
going to walk through this with you okay
um obviously we're all in the same boat
here yeah
leave it the way it is now okay I was
going to do it a little bit differently
but we're good so just go for it no no
no no no no no no listen I was just
going to hang something
but we're there it doesn't matter
um
let me find out from a little Chief he's
talking called him cool I'm gonna call
Coleman in just a second see how either
I'm gonna walk through this with you and
it's going to be my name on everything
with you running everything if you deal
with that
I'll do whatever you need me to I want
to walk through this thing at the end of
the day I got to do my job regardless of
who it is we are
yes that's uh so you do your report the
way you saw it you did a perfect job you
know just like I told you we don't do
this the right way it's gonna something
fun though okay you just want to come
back to bite you one way or another yep
so this way you can go face it and walk
through it say I made mistakes and
people can forgive he's not been read
anything okay do we want to read him yes
go ahead and start reading him questions
[Music]
all right
yep
he just wanted to ask Hey sir you'll

happen
can you turn around for a second here

she's on her way home we had to get your
car out of here first before I don't

foreign
like five minutes maybe
don't take my beautiful grandchildren
put my phone
no nothing like that
one more time
or I can get it
thanks yes
community
they're about to take them off yeah yeah
they're about to take them off
the thing is if we don't follow
protocols
all right
don't take my money
foreign
I understand
everything
is
actually my wife
sir if you're a married man you don't
have any to begin with oh man we spent a
ton of money tonight
okay
I'm just thinking about him now
exercise
[Music]
foreign
okay
thank you
absolutely this is a good exercise for
me
I'm serious
no I mean
I also wanted to go and know what they
have to go through
I'm not sure if they've experienced this
other than terminations
been very good
bring your left foot up towards me
please
these are expensive Walmart specials
if you need to you sounds amazing you
need to put them all back on over here
[Music]
all right
and just
expire.com
all the vaccinations
[Music]
thank you
[Music]
hold on
understanding yeah thank God they're
building a new one yes
what's on my suit jacket yep he's got it
thank you
that is zero nine one one
close enough there we go
no I'm sorry
oh no I just you know it's one of the
situations where people invite you to
come to an environment my wife is
finally feeling better so I thought okay
sir
all right
she will you know I'd rather be here
than with her at home
you want me to get your laptop
not bad
it's it's one one two two four six
I just remember that I'm sorry
all righty you're going to be under
control number 22f one one two two four
six
officer Reese Fort Wayne Police
Department badge number 1989 F and Mr
Thomas C Penney
[Music]
[Music]
yeah I thought so
yeah
they're kind of all shaved head and
everything yeah
I would never
this is what it is
374 what's my name is
all of us
what was my nine time on this
foreign
okay that's okay I
I clipped them and I did
nobody was hurt I just put their side
view here at last night yes sir yes sir
[Music]
it's like it's really slow tonight it is
very slow there we go
would you like me to go through these
ways
yeah yeah if you want to all right sir I
know we read this and we read this in
the car oh yeah I'm just gonna read it
to you again okay so it's on this camera
yep yep
there's one there and there's one there
and there's here in there
I understand this is just Indiana in
flag consent warning I said I have
probable cause to believe that you've
operated a vehicle while intoxicated I
must now offer you the opportunity to
submit to a chemical test and inform you
that your refusal to submit to a
chemical test will result in the
suspension of your driving privileges
for one year if you have at least one
previous conviction for operating while
intoxicated you refusal to submit to a
chemical test will result in the
suspension of your driving privileges
for two years
having read that will you take the
chemical test
thank you
by my life this is going to be no
experience
I'm walking right through US sir
I get my picture taken Nate thank you I
don't know
so I'm also going to read you your
constitutional rights again while we're
waiting for this can I read it to you
yeah do you want to right now
all right you have the right to remain
silent anything you say Canon will be
used against you in court you have the
right to talk to a lawyer for advice
before we ask you any questions and to
have them with you during questioning if
you cannot afford a lawyer one will be
appointed for you before any questioning
if you wish if you decide to answer
questions without a lawyer present
you'll still have the right to stop
answering at any time you also have the
right to stop answering at any time
until you talk to a lawyer you
understand each of these rights I've
read them to you okay with these rights
in mind do you wish to talk to me okay
and I spent a couple nights
did you have the
um
his license mind if I grab that for a
second thank you
so basically this is going to be similar
to what we did down there
um whereas the mouthpiece will put in
here and we'll just have you blow into
it like the bottom point
until we tell you to stop the machine
I I kind of wish we hadn't just left the
event
that would have been better
come on
thank you
those new licenses are great I think
you give your face all below each spout
yeah yeah I think mine looks better in
black and white
until it stops okay
you ready yes sir Wherever You Are
oh
yeah just more of a long continuous
breath not so much on the front end
there sir
yeah well um
I've never done this before this is cool
they're kind of finicky sometimes
you're gonna have like a nice long long
even breath breath I thought you wanted
me to no no no no no no no no no no no
no
you probably got better lungs than me
sir I don't know about that I'm a little
man
so we gotta wait It's gotta reset itself
there we go
alrighty great long strong continuous
breath told me to tell you stop
keep going keep going keep going keep
going keep going keep going keep going
get on there we go
before we got here
and it's gonna make you do it one more
time isn't that right
no that's fine
and then we'll be done all right
oh
what a pain in the rear
okay you can do it I think I think that
they've heard
yeah
that's surprised the best night it's
ever had I've heard that you're talking
to two people on the phone
to my wife
and we did make sure she got home so
thank you very much yeah she's uh she
got some
um our prayers will be with her thank
you yes
that's one of the reasons I was
that
helps get assistance it is what it is
it happens
yeah
one more time
I can imagine what Steve's going to say
to me when I see him on Monday
everybody
oh no place
are you uh
will be still on records yes sir
I'm gonna ask you about
the jail the new jail situation
well that's the problem is where we
can't we can't that's the policy we had
yeah okay
we get in trouble if we need to turn off
yeah
hello mine aren't they yeah
the places are denied or something like
that or well
I know I didn't want to go and
all of us know what they probably want
to go that's where this might be
different to where they will go though
although they keep they keep turning
down these six or seven places they can
at least come back and say hey we've
done our research we've done all this
and there's no other place
one more breath for you we're gonna do
this
Little Penny locations
just like before yeah
you know if you feel a little stronger
keep going keep going keep going keep
going keep going keep going there you
are sir okay all right we are all done
all right
don't get higher than it was before it
takes a minute it'll read everything
print it out for us
okay
now
yeah it's just it's running through its
cycle okay
let's give you the English one
okay yeah if you want to if you want a
document
yeah I love do you
like yeah what does that mean
that's how it it's running through it to
my checks and balances to make sure it's
properly calibrated sir so while that's
running through that oh my God I'd say
quick Copy sir that was my dad while
we're waiting for the results
I know I totally understand I'm gonna do
a couple more tests okay do you mind
coming back and standing against this
line for me
all right
I'm just gonna check your eyes first you
wear glasses or anything anything wrong
with your eyes no okay you see the tip
of my pen right here yeah okay I want
you to watch the tip of my pen with your
eyes and your eyes only don't move your
head okay okay all right
pretty good
all right now we're gonna go up and down
same thing okay don't move your head
just follow it with your eyes okay
let's see
yep watch that tip of my pen
I like your test
see those
all right all righty so if you just want
to hang out there one second yeah
we're gonna do a couple more if you just
want to come yeah I'm sorry you're gonna
have to stand come off the wall a little
bit
take a step forward for me
you're this isn't part of the test just
come step forward so you're not against
the law that's perfect yep okay just
stay there I was supposed to do
something no no you're good all right so
this is called the one leg stand can you
take your hands out of your pockets for
me thank you so all I want you to do
you're you're good which hand both hands
out of your pockets just put them down
at your side okay perfect I want you to
stand with your feet together
perfect just like that all right so
please stand with your feet together and
your arms down at the sides just like
that
and let me read the instructions don't
start until I tell you to okay all right
when I tell you to start I want you to
raise either leg with your foot
approximately six inches off the ground
keeping your foot parallel to the ground
so it's going to look like this yeah
don't start yet
don't stand just like this okay perfect
so while holding that position after you
start count out loud one thousand one
one thousand two one thousand three
until I tell you to stop okay okay
all right so keep your arms down at your
sides at all time we don't start yet
okay so keep your arms down at your
sides at all times okay you understand
all those instructions all right
go ahead and start one thousand two one
thousand three how many yep just keep
counting until I tell you to stop so
you're okay
you're good just keep going I can't do
that
even when I was totally so all right
good good you're good
Jesus do we have the walking turn or no
yeah perfect all right we're just gonna
do one more okay so you can go back to
your place at the start of the wall
perfect yep right there just take one
step off the wall
Perfect all right so this is called the
walk and turn test
so I want you to take your left foot and
put it on the line
yeah
and then you're going to place your
right foot in front of your left foot so
it's gonna look like this
one in front of the other Heel To Toe
yep
so hang on don't start yet oh I'm sorry
no you're okay
so
both arms down to your sides feet on the
line left foot in front of Left Foot
Right Foot and just stand like that okay
until I tell you to start okay
yep just come off the wall left first
don't start yet
so I just need to stand like that until
I read all the instructions okay okay
I'm off the wall for me
yep take take a step off the wall there
we go
all right so when I tell you to start
you're gonna take nine Heel To Toe steps
down this line all right and it's going
to look like this
one
two three and so on until you reach nine
don't start yet oh I'm sorry yep so I
was fired up that's okay when you reach
nine you're gonna take a series of small
steps like this and turn around on the
line and then you're gonna take nine
Heel To Toe steps back
oh
so it's just nine Heel To Toe steps down
and they're gonna turn around slowly and
nine needle toe steps back all right and
I need you to just count out loud while
you do it do you understand all that
okay okay you can begin one
two three yep watch your feet
and then eight nine answer the phone and
one two yep heal the toe steps oh I'm
sorry you're good
five six seven well I guess that's okay
we are all done with those all right all
right
can I spend the night here
my wife
be dark
we're good on the first one that's all
we need yeah oh no no no no
sergeant
it's not
because there's been the Nike and
Michigan City
excuse me
how we doing
all right how did I get we are all done
sir you your official score was 0.152
yeah that's just under twice the legal
sometimes you just don't know how much
you drink sometimes yeah
so I was playing that right here you're
not going price
I just want to make sure my wife
[Music]
don't let me pinch your fingers I'm
gonna open this door
is it it's two in the garage
27 years of marriage I think
there's a one in the car
okay
[Music]
no pictures
you look very photogenic in your suit
I don't have my suit yes he's got your
jacket
you still look photogenic in your shirt
I I don't even know
just don't do that yeah this is the
Camden show now sir
temperatures
let me go I'll give my heads up
okay so what we're gonna have to do
is take the horsepower you'd be here for
six hours
the the level that you are you have a
free thing to have to sell to yourself
away from everybody else
