Mayer. Maya. Sorry. Is that your daughter? Yeah, man. Okay. She was found wondering, man. She was all the way somewhere completely away from this area cuz I've been asleep. I I had got in the car accident yesterday when I was like I got robbed yesterday in Miami. So, I was sleeping from the medicine and stuff. But my wife, she was here. I I don't know. Nobody notified. Yeah. Make sure she's okay. Hello, Jenny. Where's Jen? You want to go sit in the election? Where's Jen? I was Listen. Um, the police is here. They said Maya was out. I guess Jen I was sleep because from the accident or whatever yesterday. But I guess Maya, listen, Maya went out the like I guess she walked out the door. She was out of the complex. She was out of the complex. They said completely out completely out of the complex. Maya walked away. It was on the street. She was walking on the street. Man, Janet, they're here. They looking for um Jennifer. She need to hurry up and get here. I don't know. She's not answering you. No, she ain't I called her. She Where is she supposed to be at right now? She she she was here. She supposed to be working. She usually will wake me up and be like, "Hey, I'm I'm leaving her." This and that. Like, is she supposed to be at work right now? No, she she on work today. She don't work today. Okay. Maya, who you was? Huh? I was. You was what? I was Why? Where? Where you walked at? How you got out the door? Huh? I don't even get it. How would she even get out the door? Because that's what like you see that lock right there. I see it. Yeah. So, it means she couldn't even shut the door. Like when her mom probably left out the door, she didn't even pull the door hard enough because like it's like a ring. Does your ring camera work? Yeah, everything works. So So let's go look at it. You can check the No, it's in it's in her phone. The mom's. It's not my phone. It's It's on her phone. Okay. Let me just get my Tell my partner. Are you the daughter? What happened? Okay, hold on one second. Hold on. Oh, man. Let me see your mom's here. Mom ran in. Do you have any uh you have a driver's license or ID card with you or anything? Okay, let me just grab that from you. I don't even know why she did that. If her if her dad was sleeping. Um well, I wanted to ask you what happened. So, okay. Go ahead. So, which um first of all, what happened? Where did you guys find her? Uh we found her on Southwest Third Street at 441. South where here on 441 State Road 7. By the street by the by the lake. Yeah. By the way, a man coming from Walmart was a neighbor across the way who's brought his groceries had saw her. He was wandering around. Yeah. Okay. Do you have your like a DL number or ID number or? Yes. I'm I'm obviously in shock right now. What happened was last night? Wait, wait. Before you get that, let me just get you prepared because I'll forget that. Did you just call her? I'm not going to jail behind this, right? But we don't know what's going on. That's why we need to talk. Oh, that's why I'm like, nope. Well, this is what happened. I want to take her to school. When I went to go take her to school, an incident had happened yesterday with Tmaine, whatever. But he had got his hand. So, I had to take her to the hospital. We came home at like 3:00 in the morning. Mhm. and I've been on medication because I'm on blood therapy. Okay. And um it got me really drowned. So I didn't want to drive back. I was like, "Am I going to drive back?" You know what I mean? So I was over there and I was I had had I had um hold on. So I had fell asleep in the parking lot. I just told her I was like, "You don't want to leave me in the parking lot? I'm going to just sleep here." So here at the school cuz I was so tired from last night. Yeah. And then when I woke up, I'm like, "Oh, I don't have my phone, no nothing." And then the dad was sleeping. And I I don't know if she didn't see him, but she was sleeping in the in, you know, she was sleeping with her and she I guess she didn't see her. And um I mean, she didn't see him and we lost the cat a couple like weeks ago. So, I don't know if she went looking for the cat. She went looking for me or she thought she was alone at the house, but she was not. You know what I mean? You came back at You guys came back at 3:00 in the morning. Yes. And I was dead tired and I had to wake her up to school and I'm like I never left her alone by the house. She just left out of the house. Um so you said you left 6:30 in the morning. Ma'am, do me a favor. Talk to I'm just going to my mom to bring my baby. Oh, okay. Cuz my mom has to go to work and I'm just like Where do you work at? Um I live on I work on Belvadier. Belvadier. Mhm. And I have to be there at 2. So, I'm not trying to like, you know what I mean? I'm I'm trying to Yeah, but this is this is a lot more important. Okay. I mean, we just found your daughter in the middle of the roadway by herself, unsupervised, in the middle of the day, and she was by herself, no telling her how long until we got her. Yeah. Before two people and it took us over an hour just to find where she lived. No one reported her missing. No one no one was looking. No one. We were out here. We knocked literally on every door here. Where did you guys find her? Excuse me. How do you find whoever? We I just told you we literally knocked on every door. One of your neighbors say, "Hi, I know this girl. I I've seen her before. She lives somewhere over there. Your daughter cannot articulate where she lives. She couldn't remember your phone number. She can't remember dad's phone number. She doesn't have a cell phone. There's nothing on her to identify who she is, where does she belong, and she's walking around with no shoes on. So, this is very important. So, who as far as work?" I understand that your dad come. I don't need him to come right now. We're dealing with you. We already spoken to him. There's a whole gap of time that we have to account for as law enforcement deputies. So, I'm just ask you be a little patient with us. No, no, try to communicate as best as can cuz this is very important. It is. Okay. So, you got up to take your daughter to school. You didn't had no conversation with her father as far as, hey, I'm going to go take what's your daughter's name? No, I just told him I said I'm taking her to school and that's it. Did you tell him or do you not tell him? I tell him that, but I I don't know if he was up or not, but usually I just tell him, "Hey, listen. I'm leaving, babe. All right, I'll be back." Like that. It was something simple. It wasn't like, you know what I mean? It's like every day. Every day. Anyway, I'm going to take her to school. And I was like so drowsy cuz what I was taking because of my um doctor. And then I was just like, I love I was like, "Oh my god." And then out of every single day, I guess cuz the time that I took it, it kind of like hit me a little harder. Mhm. So, I was just like, you know, I'm just going to stay and wait for her for your daughter to get out of school. Yeah, she usually takes the bus, but it was I think it was a little bit later. So, that's why I said it was 7 7:20ish. So, she drove to Olympic Heights. We were going to sit in the car for the next what about 6 7 hours since she got out of school. I was going to get her a little bit early, but I was like, you know what? Let me just wait here. Yeah, I was drowsy. I didn't want her to miss school. Yes, I waited in the parking lot. No problem. Any particular reason why you didn't take a cell phone? I was I never I'm asking is that a normal thing? No, it's not. It's not. That's why I'm like it's not. I always take my cell Especially cuz I work on my cell phone. I always take my cell phone. I I don't know why I didn't take my cell phone this time. It's my first time ever leaving my cell phone at home. Okay. Is it normal for you to take the daughter to school? Is it your primary You primary take your No, I usually she usually takes the bus, but I did not. I just was like, you know, it's late. I don't want you missing school. You know, we had an incident last night. I don't want her having retardies. I didn't want her missing school at all. You know why? When that incident happened last night, who who stayed with the kids? The incident? I was with the kids. I was with the kids. Uh-huh. Here. No, I was at my mother's house. Both kids were with you? Mhm. Okay. And then I had to go get him. So, I had Where was he? In Jackson Memorial, Miami. Yeah. Okay. and dad just they had rob like robbed him for like $8,000. He was literally in the mall. Mhm. And they robbed him outside or whatever it was. They like it just this has been crazy cuz now we got to put him away. It's just like a lot going on. Okay. You know what I mean? Okay. And I and I fell asleep. Like I I feel really bad. I feel so irresponsible. Like I'm I'm embarrassed. I just I'm really glad and I'm really thankful to you guys and whoever found her. Like this is like something like you read on. You know what I mean? Like you find a little kid found. Yeah. This is very serious. think could have happened. She could have got hit by a car. Somebody could have somebody could have taken her. No, I know. And that's I mean that's that's a great distance where she No, it is. And that's and that's why it's not that I can't It's not that I can't answer you guys. I'm just like you read about these kids and I I love her so much. You know what I mean? She was literally sitting on the curb. Oh, the lock. Can I ask you the lock? You um he said that you have electronic lock on your front door. It's a safety lock for the child, but when he thought when you close it, it automatically locks that no one can get out. What happens is um the door it Okay, so it's one of those electronic locks that um But if you shut it, if you shut it, it closes. If you don't shut it for like a couple seconds, the thing the bolt goes right. So, I'm thinking maybe like I went like that and maybe the bolt didn't close it. Yeah, because when we went back trying to knock the door knob and you try and there was the the dead bolt was locked. So the door was locked. Correct. You couldn't because how you got out saying that she closed it. They pulled into this parking lot from the inside. Even with the safety lawyer, honestly is nothing but this. And she never leaves. But it is a dead bull. She never leaves. This one like she never leaves. All right. But she But she did today. But she did today. Okay. So that's what we're dealing. Now I'm just like what am I going to do? I'm going to have to put like something up at the top or something because I'm not going to at the top top. I'm like that's that's later. Like my partner has mentioned numerous times is we have to count now because we had a threeyear-old which is a very vulnerable age. He was on the meds but you you didn't know he was on the medication or honestly we left there at 3 in the morning while he was getting treated. I was sleeping there too, you know. I was sleeping in the hospital. Like I was just really tired. Yeah. Okay. She was Only thing I could think about is the cat in that when I left in the morning. She did say she was looking for you. She's looking for me specifically. Go get mom. Yeah, she said it a couple times. I don't know. Only thing I can think about is what if she ran out after she seen me and I Right. Right. And maybe the door locked behind her and she stayed outside. This is the only thing I'm thinking about. That's even more concerned, right? A lot long time before we got the actual call. All right, Jennifer. Yes. Okay. The ghost of our investigation. You're going to be on the arrest. What? The neglect. No, no, no, no. I wasn't Jennifer, do not do not resist. What do you mean? No more probation. I'm not resist. Do not resist. Please don't do this to me right now. Do not resist. Just relax. I want to help you and I will help you as much as I can. Okay? You know why we care about you and her? Can I hold on? Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. She cannot be without me. Look at me. Look at I'm on probation. Okay. All right. That's fine. Please. Please. Give it on me. Ju listen. I'm such a good mother. Please. I believe you are because we see what you're doing. It's only for one count. But we have You got to understand. Put yourself in that chase. I understand it. But I get it. You don't want to do this. Listen to me. We don't want to do that. If I get processed, I'm not going to get out. Why? Cuz I'm on probation. But that doesn't nothing nothing is going to change the fact that you're going to jail. Okay. For child neglect. I get this. We Okay. I It doesn't seem like because I'm saying to you is that what I'm explaining, right? Nothing. Promise me. And we're going to have a we're going to have a female deputy come and pat you down and search you. But we already asked you. You don't have anything on you that's going to be deemed contraband at the jail. No, I don't do anything. I was I take blood thinner. This is protocol questions that we ask. I'm not going to do anything. Okay. Why? Because I'm on probation. When you're on probation, you violate. You're going to talk You're going to talk to the judge. Okay. And that's it. I think that they're going to believe anything saying that they see my child out here. You're the mother. Of course they are. You're the mother. Are you serious? No, they're not. They're going to tell me. Listen, I'm writing down the circumstance. They're going to tell me, "You want me to call um rainy?" Listen, they're going to tell me you are on probation now. You got another charger. Not you. Get out. That's not Well, I'm telling you from my experience. Can you please show up? Can you please show up? I don't know. I can show up, but I'll try that.
