Uh maybe >> she was trying to report a suspicious activity. >> Thank you so much. >> Hello. >> Hello. >> Is that in your car out there? >> Yeah. >> What's going on? >> Can I get first? >> Sure. Is there is there anyone with you at all? So, >> I usually get gas here and I go to Venice to go see my boyfriend. He lives in Venice. He works in Venice and I stay with him sometimes. I'm on my way to go there. I've seen them before at this gas station because I usually stop there to get gas cuz I have these this couple usually they have babies and they're in the car. Different cars today. I see them walking. So, I come up and they're like, "Hey, how you doing?" Cuz I always say the baby's cute. Whatever. Something like that. They're known as how are you? The girl goes, "Excuse me. Do you have cash up here? I'm so sorry about it." I say, "Cash up." I do have cash app, but for my kids, I don't really know how to use it, you know. >> Are you hurt at all? >> I am, but I don't want to go to Christmas. I just want to go home. >> You want to just come here and check you out? You don't go with us. >> No, no, no. It's just It's just my trip. >> Yeah. I just got to get home and clean it really good. and that's up whatever I still have the adrenaline rush cuz it just happened. So I'm struggling trying to I said you know finally yeah I could do it but all I have is 100. She had 100. So I said I could do it but all I have is 100. The boyfriend says I can help you do it. You know he takes my phone. He does the 100. She freaking takes my phone. The $100 never gave it to me. He took the 100. Put it in his account I guess or whatever and starts running. So they ran through the grass like through the dumpster and stuff. They thought I wasn't going to get through there. It was very hard to, but I did it. So, I get through the dumpster. I guess they try to cut through. They thought I wasn't going to like do it. So, I cut through very straight area and she goes, "What?" I said, "Give me my phone." What? Give me my phone. I need I want my phone. It's S23. So, she's like, I said, "At least give me my phone." She goes, "Here for coming into the side door here." So, I didn't know if they stayed here or not. I came in and I'm telling the lady what's going on. She said she wanted to call the cops cuz she wants them out of the hotel. I said I don't really care. But I got my phone back. That was more in front of me. But she me up because she was younger. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> She I know she me out. I feel it. She got the best of me. I tried the best I could. >> Oh, we were we were fighting. I was trying. >> And they might be staying here. >> She said they are staying here. >> They are staying here. Okay. >> But this is the thing. I live in the area. So, I know she's going to go to jail for this probably and I don't want the problem. So, is there could be like a a order of protection too, something done like that? Like if she's >> So, the protection order would be you going down to the courthouse and doing that. >> Okay. >> Um, if she struck you, you have the right to press charges. >> I want to press charges. I want to press charges. I want her to go to jail today, Christmas, for doing what she did. I don't even want the $100. I want her to go to jail for doing what she did. >> She took 100 in cash. >> Yes. They never gave me the cash. >> Oh, they just transferred it from your account to >> from my account to him. >> Okay. So, I'm just going to get a statement from you. >> I always go to this gas station. So, the lady >> Does she know what room they're in? >> I guess they stay here often. Once I told the description like, "Oh, yeah. They stay here a lot." >> Let me just take pictures of your >> I don't know if you guys have alcohol. >> Oh no. >> Turn that out. >> Is it hot? some scratches. >> So, she should The front clerk should know what room they think. >> She wants to press. >> Oh, sorry. >> Merry Christmas. >> Merry Christmas. >> Sounds good. >> Um, so she doesn't know anything other than this female walking in. Um, she gave her some water, described two people that she thinks are staying here, but she's got no issues. Like, no reason. So they're fine. They don't need anything. I guess it's whatever she wants. >> Yeah. >> But we have possible people to talk to. >> They're not personally known. So if they're here, >> Oh, that's her. >> What's going on? I don't know. Some strange lady just trying to attack me. >> Trying to attack you. >> Yeah. >> So, is that you didn't think it's all us when people attack each other? >> I mean, >> no. Sorry. I mean, probably. >> Yeah. Yeah. Go. It's whatever. Whatever's >> really appropriate right now. But what I'm getting at is obviously she did and that's a problem cuz she's saying there was an old >> she called the police. >> Yeah. >> Oh. Oh, I'm thinking you guys >> We have a deputy there reviewing video right now. >> Yeah, you can review all of it. No, it was >> We're going to Yeah, it's >> it's all her tried to attack me and it's all that nothing fancier about it. That's just >> I'm going to go talk about that. >> All right. Well, hang out here for a second cuz we got to figure this out. So, right now we're trying to see why she's saying these things. >> What she saying? >> You guys obviously got into an altercation. So, that's why we're trying to figure it. We have to figure it out. >> It was altercation. >> Oh, I know. >> But it was definitely one-sided and I >> I'm not saying it wasn't. But what you're doing right now is good then because that's what you need to do. If if you're saying she was the problem as opposed to, you know, her obviously both people are going to say that >> off. So, I just I Yeah. >> Yeah. Well, >> she obviously falls in here. >> Yeah. Are you injured? >> I mean, it's just a little, you know, scheduled, but as you can tell, I've been in car accident and stuff, so I'm fine. >> So, you you you guys fell? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. So, I'm going He's talking to her. The deputy responded here. He's going to talk to you, too. Just get both sides of your guys stories. Okay. Everything's good right now. >> Know exactly what she said. She's I don't know this woman. I don't have on social media. >> But that's why it's important you get your side correct story. >> Yeah. Because when somebody's over here all up here and and we don't and you're not wanting to tell us what happened, then we have to listen to what they're saying. I don't want to do that. I like hearing everybody's >> side of the story. You know what I mean? That's fair, right? You want to be fair with us. We just believe her right now. Then you're the bad person and you're not. So, we want to talk to everybody and figure everything out. And really, if you don't mind, can we just walk to the lobby so we're not standing in this hallway in case people want, but I don't want to be. And again, we'll we'll hurry up and we'll try to get you on with your prisoners. Okay. thing, right? >> No, she didn't give me the money and they took some money some money. >> You were asking them for money? No, they were asking her. >> And you gave the money? >> Yeah. Long story short, they made a small conversation like, "Hey, oh, do you have cash?" And I'm like, "Yeah, why?" She's like, "What you want to put money on the card to get a rental car?" And I said, "Okay." And I felt it. She said, "We just wanted to put $100 if you have another." I said, "All I have is 100." So, she's like, "Yeah." She had the money. She's like, "Yeah, I'll give it to you." So, I'm like, "This I don't know how to use it in the >> You were going to transfer the money. They were going to give you the cash. So you weren't going to be out anything. >> Yeah, but I don't know how to get cash. So the guy goes, I'll help you. So he took my phone and he was like he sent it really quick like this. >> Okay. >> Before I knew it, she took the phone and she's walking off and he's and he was blocking me from getting to her. Like he didn't hit me, but he was blocking. >> They went from like a small area through the traffic. >> I I kind of get the gist now. So are you you going to make the report with us and everything? He's going to take >> I'm going to make the report. She wanted to call you guys. talk to her >> and I just want to order protection so that way if I see them around town and they try to try me again I don't know or whatever >> give us one second. Okay. >> So like a scheme of the fraud is what that is right >> and the theft for the cell phone still the prior so I would just get a statement and ask followup you need for that. >> Were you going to be primary in this or >> I mean I got I mean he got here first but this might be a good one for you. You got it. Okay. >> Yeah. So, we got one of the suspects then and we'll try and go find the mail and we can just like show up once we're done. >> You know how to check the history? >> Okay. Look, it says Twan at 11:52 100. >> Okay. >> So, >> can you screenshot that? See, my friend just sent me that at 11:08. That's why I went to the gas station to get gas. See? And then that was at 11:52. What time is it? 12:30. 12:28. >> Mhm. >> Oh, actually, look at them. Oh, there's one right there. That's the guy. >> Let me see. >> Okay. Oh, shoot. Look. >> Can I see it real quick? Yeah. I'm going to do you I'm going to do it so you can blow it up. >> That's the guy. >> That's him. >> Honestly, I didn't want no problems with anything. >> I got you. >> The only reason why I'm here with you guys right now is because everybody else that called, you know. >> Right. Right. I'm going to send you a uh phone number and an I'm going to write down an email and a phone number so that you can send me that picture and the picture of the transaction. >> Okay. So, what we're going to do now is called is what's called a show up. Um I'm basically going to put you in my car in the back seat. We're going to have her come out so that way she can't see you. And then you're going to tell me yes or no if that's her cuz they think they found her. Okay. Um, honestly, those are her people. They know my car, obviously. I So, I mean, I'll do that. But, um, I already know she's going to know. Whatever. But, yeah, I would do that. >> Okay. So, let me just get that printed out. >> Um, how long will it take? >> Literally 5 minutes. >> You want me to go in now or you want me to wait? >> You want me to go now? >> Okay. >> She's freaking waffle house. So, now I'm dead. He's just going to sit over there. >> He's been epic. >> Same thing. We just No, he's got it on his pocket. That's cool. Just no cell phone. Same thing already. >> What's up? >> Told I was okay with my moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis. >> Hey guys, we just got done getting outside. >> It just takes a minute. There's people to talk. part of the process. >> You need both of them or one? >> Both of them. [Applause] >> Yeah. Come out. We're just going to get independent statements from you if you guys want to provide. Okay. It's up to you. It's completely up to you. Okay. Are you ready? >> Okay. [Music] >> Just let me know if it's them. >> Is that yes for both? >> Yes. [Applause] Hello. >> Hi. >> So, I'm Deputy Bellow Ruiz with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. Um, I just got to read you something before I ask you any questions. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. >> Talk to you question. So, um, would you like to explain what happened or >> Yeah. >> Um, I mean, yeah, if that's going to help me in my family today cuz I literally am just a person trying to celebrate Christmas and then got caught up in a mess and I'm not trying to go to jail cuz I got a son to ride. >> Okay. >> So, I got in the car with her so she could take me to the store to go get her juice. I was just I wasn't going to ride, but I they was just like just ride cuz I don't even really know how. >> Where did you guys make contact at? Like where did you guys meet up at or where? >> Right over there by the um side of the building over there. So I came down. Yeah. My my room is a little closer to that end. So I came downstairs. She was standing there. They was talking and I was like um I'm about to go to the store, get something to drink. She Okay, I'm about to go there, too. So I went there. We ride in the car. She talking about a million things. And then we get back, she just changed the conversation up. She's like, "Oh, don't disrespect me." And at first I'm like, you know, cuz she's older than me, so I'm like, "Okay, whatever she felt disrespected about, you know, I'm like, "Okay, cool." And then that's when um she just kept going on and on and on about it. So I'm like, "Um, you know, hold on." And then she tried to show out, I guess, one of my boyfriend. So when I said hold on, she go and jumped out the car and trying to attack me. Like, so I'm This is her car. So I'm already getting out of her car when she started going out. I'm already getting out of the car. So, did all this happen at the gas station? >> Yeah. So, everybody was there to see it. So, I'm still like clueless of what's going on. I'm going to go get my my juice or whatever. So, I'm trying to get out of the car. She mad or whatever, but I'm not thinking she's serious. Like, I don't know her like that. I don't know really what's going on. >> And this all started inside the vehicle. Inside the car? >> Yeah, in the vehicle. She started just going first everything was calm and fine, but when we got to the gas station, I don't know if she waited till we got to the gas station. I don't know if she like tried to get me to get in the car to get like do all of that, but we got some gas station and she just hit the grip on me and I got out the car and she >> So, you got out of the car? >> Yeah. To go. >> Did she get out of the car, too? >> Yes. Okay. >> Mind you, we're at the pump. So, I'm already like she had to get out and come around. So, I'm getting out to go into the store, but she comes over and tries to she comes over and tries to attack me. And then um my boyfriend, he's blocking and he's like, "Hey, can you calm down?" or whatever. And I'm just backing up and I'm just like, you know, just looking at her and, you know, that's what was going on there. And I was just like calling her crazy, whatever. Everybody was seeing that. I just walked off, walked back here. But then she followed me when I was walking off. She followed me through the Waffle House and she drove her car through the um Waffle House thing and she got out and started chasing me again. So I just kept pushing her, pushing her, pushing her, and just pushing her to the ground. But I was intently fighting her. I'm just pushing her, pushing her, pushing her, pushing her. That's all. She was trying to attack me. I'm trying to get away from her the whole time. I finally ran here. So, did you guys ever went inside the gas station? >> No. >> Never made it inside the gas station? >> I was trying to get >> Okay. So, both of you guys got out. You guys were beefing and then she just randomly started attacking you. >> Yes. >> And when you say she started attacking you, what is what do you mean by that? >> Running at me and screaming and looking like she wanted to jump on me. Attacking. I thought I don't know. >> Okay. So, that happened and then you just walked away or you ran away. >> I ran all the way here. I ran through the house. >> Okay. >> And she followed me there. Well, she followed me with her truck. So, I'm trying to figure out which is the best place to go cuz she's following me right. >> Were you and your boyfriend both in the car with her? >> At first, we was. And then we both got out at the gas station. >> And your boyfriend did, too? >> Yeah, he did, too. And we both left and she followed us through Waffle House. So, >> so he never went inside the store either. >> No. >> Okay. >> Never. >> So, you guys both went this way? She was trying to get away from her at that point. just wanted to get back here where we knew she couldn't get. >> Is there a reason why she was she would be following you or >> I don't know what's wrong with this lady. I have no clue. She said I disrespect her. I don't see how I disrespected her. >> Okay. >> Um >> I was not playing >> Did you ask her for money or anything like that? >> No, I got my own money. >> Okay. So you guys So you never asked her for money? >> I got my own money. Food stamps on 700. Balance just updated yesterday. I don't need nobody for nothing. So, you weren't trying to put money on a card or anything like that? >> I don't know. But she >> Did you ever take her phone? >> Um, okay. So, when we were in the when we was at Waffle House, both our phones fell. Boom. My phone. If you look at her phone, it's kind of the same when when the clothes off. So, I thought it was my phone and I both our phones on the ground. I thought it was my phone. Then my brother was like, "No, that's her phone." So, I tossed her back her phone and he had my phone, his hand the whole time. I thought it was my phone. That's the only time I touched her phone. Both our phones was on the ground. When that when while I was trying to push her off me and stuff, both our phones fell. I didn't know he grabbed mine, so I picked hers up and then when I realized it was hers, I put it back in mine. That was never touched using. >> Okay. So, you never physically grabbed it and ran ran away with it. >> No, no, no, no, no. I just picked it up. I thought it was mine. Then he was like, "That's her phone." Cuz he we was trying to get away, so I was trying to get all my stuff and I grabbed her phone. He's like, "No, no, that's her phone." Cuz she was coming at me while we was trying to figure get everything together. He's like, "No, that's her phone." I was like, "Oh, okay." Then I left. And I realized it was that was literally the last thing I put up on that and we ran away. >> You want to tell me what happened? >> Not a phone. We can move too. >> It's up to you. It's only going to help you out. So, it's up to you. >> We basically went we went to the store and then get some juice. Then she talked about the girl. >> Okay. >> Well, I'm going to need a lot more than that. There's obviously a lot more than that. >> I mean, we got out the car. We left the gas station. That's when she tried to come with the car, tried to hit us on tried to get us with the car. What? >> That was it. >> So, what exactly happened at the gas station? >> Just arguing. >> Arguing over what? >> Something dumb. I really did ask her for money. >> I don't know. >> No. So, why would there be a cash app transaction with your picture on it? >> I don't know. >> You don't know? I don't I ain't asking for money. >> Did you guys take her phone? No. >> All her stuff was right there on the like phone. >> Who who's the witness? If whoever was buying a witness, you know what I'm saying? Witness should be able to tell everything. >> Yeah. Well, that's why I'm asking you certain things cuz there are certain things that we're seeing. So, >> um >> Yeah. No phone. >> Never took a phone. No. >> Never tried making a transaction doing a 100 for 100 on a card. I mean, she sent me $100 on cash out. That was it. >> Okay. >> So, why did you just lie to me then? No. >> I What you mean? Like, she said I asked her for some money. I didn't ask for some money. She I had bought She lo She loaned $100 from me like two weeks ago and she just getting back in town. I guess I don't know. >> Okay. >> She lo She paid whatever she had owed me back. >> So, she was paying you. Yeah. I I won't stop paying to you at all. Uh, what else can you tell me about what happened? >> That's pretty much it really. >> Okay. How did it go from the gas station all the way to here, >> man? We w we walked away from her at the gas station. She followed us here. She followed us from the gas station, tried to run with damn car right here by W Falls. From Walls, we got back here. >> I ain't lie to you. >> So, what would be her reasoning for doing that? I mean, she >> they had words. They had words and I guess they didn't get the fight at the gas station and got a little more intense once they once she tried to come with the damn car. So, we left the situation alone right at the gas station. Walked off and now y'all here. >> All right. So, you never took her phone? >> Never took her phone. >> You sure about that? >> I'm positive. >> I never took her phone. Y'all could look at Wall's cameras. I ain't never took her phone. >> Okay. >> I'm 110% sure about that. Is there anything? >> Her phone fell on the ground and that was that. >> So her phone fell on the ground. >> Her phone fell on the ground. We never What happened with the phone? >> I don't know what happened. I was trying to get the hell up out of her. You ain't going to You got a car. There's nowhere we can run. You know what I'm saying? Our run back to your car. So I didn't look back to see what else she had going. I don't know. >> Okay. Anything else you want to tell me? >> Nothing at all. >> I'm being straight forward with you, too, bro. I ain't going to lie to you. Okay. >> Same type right there. Okay. Well, I'm going to jail for >> I'll explain that in a second. >> He'll talk to you in a second. Don't make it worse. All right. How about say? No. >> Yeah. >> I want to say, "Can I get his cash in my left pocket to my son?" >> If it's on you, it has to go with you. >> Do you have a cigarette on you? >> No, I got nothing. >> Y'all smoke cigarettes? >> No. You don't got them? >> No, but I mean I was going to let If you had one on you, she probably would have let you have one. >> Can she Can she get one from my father? No, >> we got to wrap it up. >> We got to wrap it up. If you had one on you right away since you're being cool, I'm trying to see what I what I'm going to jail. >> He'll tell you he'll tell you in just a second. Just a second. >> Sorry, man. That's crazy, man. Y'all can't look at them cameras. I ain't do a thing, bro. All right. >> That's crazy, bro. All right. Nothing on you. Nothing inside your shoes or nothing. Just take it in the jail. >> Yeah, I'm on. Okay. This crazy, bro. your face. Hold on. Uh, toss the other side. All right, sit back. Hey, so what am I going to jail for, bro? Just a second. I'll let him tell you. He's the He's the charging deputy. I already had to use my cuffs. >> Oh no, I hear something. >> You stand up. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to go to next, I guess. I'm turn your phone off real quick so you have less battery whenever you turn on. >> Do you have anything in your pockets that we need to be worried about? >> I don't think so. >> So, theft >> theft >> fraud >> fraud >> and battery. >> Okay. >> And battery. Yes. >> Theft, fraud, and battery. Wait, theft as in stole? >> Yes. >> Stole what? >> Her phone. >> Her phone. That's my phone. >> Fraud for the transaction. >> Fraud what transaction for fighting? >> Fraud for what transaction? >> A cash out transaction. >> What cash out transaction? >> One that we were able to see >> with my face. >> Okay. What are you talking about? >> It's going to be >> I just want to go get some juice. This is patent. >> All right. So, nothing on you? >> No. >> And nothing in you. >> Have you been to Have you been to our Yeah.
