We thought we could get a cop to get us to another ride to another bar, but I I I didn't know. Okay. Just like fun joke. No like need to cause trouble. No bad intentions. So sir, we were not trying to cause any trouble. That's not going to be the optimum. But from what it sounds like, you guys are being pretty honest right now with me. We're being so honest. I didn't realize any sort of charge. I've never had a charge inside. I've never had a charge. Are you guys students here? Students? Yes. Graduating in a week. So I don't need to see. You're good. Yep. Quick. Um while you're dealing with So her friend was sitting next to my car and I was like, "What is she doing?" And I was like, "Okay, maybe this car is hers." She's trying to back out. So, I got in my car and got right into it. And she was sitting in the backseat of my car and said, "Hey, can you give me a ride to the bar?" And I literally said, "Are you kidding me?" Yeah. And then I told him, "Get out of the car." And I walked around. Yeah. So, traffic stop already left. I take it. Yeah. So, basically, I was in a terrible position. Yeah. So, I was standing right here trying to explain to her, "Hey, you either have to exit this way or this way. you can't exit this way. You almost just caused an accident when I was trying to come in here because you tried to proceed out. Okay. And so I was trying to explain to her where she's allowed to exit at. And I pointed out that there's a very clear, you know, do not enter right there. And I was explaining her ticket to her. And so basically, I'm in a bad spot and I couldn't see my car while I was standing here talking to her. So I should have locked my car. Definitely my fault. But that is not your fault at all. Yeah, I'm good with that. I mean, at least criminal mischief for messing with our cruiser, but I'll look at that DC, too, because I would I mean, I think it would be a DC. I It's something to do with like it's a DC during an emergency, but I would have to see if it fits. Okay. And I could take it to jail for a criminal mish. Yeah, it's an M4. I believe it's an M4. While they're trying to do their official job, did you you think you can just get into the back of a cop car, get mess with our stuff? Okay. Like I I really am confused why you think that would be okay. You wanted to ride in the back of the cop car. You will get your wish. Turn around. Face that way. Yeah. Do you have her phone or anything or is this all her stuff? That's her stuff. Okay. You guys live on campus or We live We were walking home and a little drink in a little too much. I thought it would be a good idea to get in the combo, I guess. Okay. Are you going to be okay to get home? All right. Do you want I'll be fine. Like, okay. We can give you a ride if you ask us and talk to us, right? Like, so because of the situation, like if if you're But giving you a ride home is a lot different than you jumping in my car and asking for a ride to a bar. While well my my biggest concern as a supervisor, she's she was on a traffic stop in the performance of her duties and now she has somebody in her car when she's trying to do her official duty. So pretty kind of serious. No, I then maybe you can kind of help explain it to her tomorrow or whatever, you know, like cuz I'm sure she's going to be pretty upset. I also need a new fire extinguisher. Yeah. Okay. Okay, I I'll just lodge around the fire called you out over the radio said that you were PD's putting it out now. Gave him the best effort. So, good job. All right. Um I'll take it for the criminal mischief and then see if I can if you want to look. I'll I'll look real quick and see if there's any higher charge because of what what you were involved in. So, um and then we'll see. I'll I'll just let you know. I'll look it up real quick. Okay. You just made a really bad decision. I don't know what in your thought process ma made you think that you should get into the back of my car when I had my emergency lights on and asked me for a ride to a bar. And honestly, I thought that police officer could give rides to people. And I guess I didn't know better. And I'm sorry for that. And I had no idea this was going to happen. And I I apologize sincerely. I've I've been a good citizen and I'm not trying to make a huge fit out of it. And I'm just I'm sorry. I had no idea. Okay. Well, you can talk to the judge about it on Monday. I didn't know. I seriously I had no idea. I didn't know. She was charged with criminal mischief, but the charges were later dropped.
