a New Mexico State Police Officer had
one of the worst Mondays ever
when he went to get into his police
vehicle he noticed a lot of his
equipment was missing more than twenty
one thousand dollars worth of police
equipment was stolen from right in front
of his house
um
which I'll get a notification yeah
however on the weekends like if it
notices that your car's not being used I
don't know I don't know if it has like a
memory in it or something but what it
showed for my POV on this unit was the
power pass was disabled to conserve
battery life and I could I could
screenshot and send you a picture yeah
if you don't mind because I was like I
was like oh [ __ ] my Ford pass like if my
alarm went off then I it would have
notified me right and so when you when
you came
a [ __ ] pieces dude when you when you
when you were looking for your vest
right you didn't find it there you went
in the house oh maybe it's at the
[ __ ] office you come around here
looking for it I see my helmet and my
gas and you don't notice the Pelican
thing gone you don't notice your rifle
gun and you don't notice the bean bag
gone I don't until you get like to the
office to do the check for everything so
as I was driving to the office I looked
over my shoulder I was like it was like
I was like had that Eerie feeling like
if someone [ __ ] broke in my car I
would have went for the rifle like I was
just thinking yeah because I was like I
think I left at my vest at the office
but there's a [ __ ] chance
so I'll be so I got in my unit and
started heading to the office and I look
over and I see the [ __ ] blink I was
like [ __ ] nope someone someone stole my
[ __ ]
and I didn't and did you when you looked
over saw that thing gone did you notice
the Pelican case gone yeah when I got to
the office I was like okay I know my
[ __ ] rifle gun I know my best has
gone what else is missing so I opened
the door I was like [ __ ] I had the
Pelican case in here
noticed that was missing then I looked
down and I was like [ __ ] my shotgun's
missing too
then I checked for my breaching shotgun
but my breaching shotgun was good it was
that was in the back
everything else was
accounted for
so I
got my ass chewed because they're like
how do you not see your rifle you know
getting in your unit I'm like dude like
honestly my whole attention was where
the [ __ ] is my best like where's my best
either I know I know I left it in here
like it's not in here did I take it
inside like where's my [ __ ] bed so I
get in and I like cool my best that's
that's what's on my mind is my best and
then it dawned on me that to check from
a rifle and
or
oh [ __ ]
then
okay we just want to show you guys too

um we'll see if they have
see those group and then that group over
there check out more surveillance stuff
and
yeah
I apologize for not being able to go to
the office we'll see no that's no
worries bro Sean had some [ __ ] at like
four bikini said so I know you said

what happened or with your unit because
obviously there is a burglary of a unit
okay your unit says kind of from when
you park there I guess over the weekend
then yeah so um I get off on Fridays one
my schedules Monday through Friday I got
off on Friday

100 for a fact I locked my unit every
time I
uh leave my unit so my unit was locked
unfortunately it does not have a an
alarm system in it yet it was actually
going to get installed today at whack
um
I got in my unit this morning after PT I
did a workout and then
got on my unit and I realized my best my
plate carrier open field best I usually
put it like uh on my senior rounders on
the floorboard
um
at a site from the public but
when I got on my unit this morning I
noticed that my plate carrier wasn't
there so I went back in my house checked
my house I was like I thought I I could
have sworn I had my plate care with me
um so
I looked in the house couldn't find it I
was like well maybe maybe I'll I'll look
my look at my unit again
um I'll check everywhere even in the
back
um to see if maybe I put it in there
so I was looking through my back seat
and I
my the I'm issued a robot but the
controller was in my backseat along with
my helmet and my gas mask
so
um
I don't think anyone you know took my or
broke into my unit at that time
um due to because all that stuff was
there still
like well maybe I forgot it at the
office
so that's when I uh came to the office
when I was about halfway here I looked
back to see if my rifle was there and my
gun lock was still locked
um but my rifle was not there and I know
for a fact I'm that I left my rifle
there and I know it was against the
policy on leaving your rifle in a unit
so I mean I'm
messed up on that but
but yeah my rifle was in 100 I know I
didn't take my rifle out and it was
locked into the gun lock and it was not
there so that's when I called the GT let
him know like hey someone broke in my
unit took my vest and my uh
my uh rifle
and then further uh going through uh
looking at my union the back seat I
realized that my beanbag shotgun was
missing and a pole camera that is used
for uh
uh searching
um was in my unit it was a brand new one
it was going to be sent back to the to
the
the people we purchased from and they're
going to ship us a different one
um
in my entry list I had a flashbang it
was a double Bang
and all along with my Apex 8000 radio
and
on my right on my rifle I had the issue
the team issued sling
excuse me the optic was a personal optic
it was a six hour Tango six a one by six
optic it was it's a 10 optic
and I had a flashlight on there it was a
warrior flashlight and that was uh
personal as well the optic was a
personal optic I don't know if I
mentioned
I had a MAG
in my kit
with
I believe that one had the armor
piercing green tip
a full mag 28 rounds
and uh
mag in the rifle was it was also 28
rounds of uh the 64 grain
or 65 Grand I don't know I remember it's
the
attack ground that we have
is it the the bonded stuff no no
and 20 on those yes 28 rounds
trying to think I had a there's a peck
15 on the rifle as well and that's used
for uh nvgs I'll look at I just thought
of that now I'll have to get this soon
what is that it's a peck peq
15.
and it's like it's 10. you go it mounts
on top of the rifle
and it has like a laser sight on it
um
infrared infrared yes
um so is that issue yes yeah
and then uh so going back on
going back in time a little bit on uh
I want to say it was Saturday night I
don't I don't know if it was Friday
night or Saturday night um to be exact
but I I'm I'm gonna say with Saturday
night or early Sunday morning
um I did hear an alarm like a honking
going off
um
got up checked out the window and
nothing yeah I couldn't see any lights
you know coming from the vehicle any
vehicles around I was looking at the
neighbors skirts too there was no like
indication that uh
it was
my unit or any of my vehicles
um
so I didn't like look into it further
but now thinking about it like going
back that might have been when uh they
possibly broken
so is there any damage to your unit so
there was no damage
um I don't know if the door was unlocked
because as I was walking on my house I
hit my unlock key so I don't know if it
was
unlocked prior to me getting to the door
but looking at the door handle I didn't
see any damage
um I didn't see any scratching or
anything like that
so I'm not sure
but I'm 100 sure that I did lock my door
or my unit
and I guess how do you know you locked
it does it so the lights flash or
something so I usually hit the lock
button twice when you hit it twice it
makes an audible beep
in the beep that is it the horn yeah
okay and then you still need I guess
you're missing the serial number to the
pick 15 yes
do you have photos of any of this stuff
I can I can get you photos of uh what
the peg 15 looks like
um I'm not so much thought about like
your rifle rifle like like a picture of
the rifle I guess an overall picture I

went through the back door

uh I did I lifted up the tailgate
checked to make sure my uh reaching
shotgun was there my breaching shotgun
was there
um my gasket was in the unit
the robot so I I pretty much opened all
the doors okay
and uh
in the the bean bag shotgun where was
that at it was on the driver's side
passenger on the floorboard rear rear

like along the
the seats right in front of the seat so
if I have to get out
scrap it right there you have like a
trunk Vault or anything in your unit I
do okay was that gone through you know
yeah I looked and there's nothing was
missing in the trunk okay I don't think
they opened the trunk at all

does
but I don't know if it went off because
I know the camera goes off when
the gun lock is unlocked but I don't
think they I don't think it ever
unlocked I think they pried it out
somehow and it never activated the I
mean it me being there I didn't even

the neighborhood but got a break in the
case with a call from the Albuquerque
Police Department about an accused felon
wanting to give up information about
where the stolen gear was
well it should be open
