passenger of one vehicle's in here who's complaining of neck pain. >> Okay. >> Um, >> both vehicles we got moved over into parking spots here. >> Okay. >> And I mean, they can tell you the story, but right off the bat, he was jump out, yelling, walking around. I guess he was threatening this driver. >> Okay. >> Volkswagen driver, the female, states that they were in the merge lane. They couldn't get around. The van sped up >> and that's where they impacted. Okay. >> Van driver stating that he was in the right hand lane, which they both seem to agree on. >> Okay. >> And he said the Volkswagen was at his quarter panel. Should have slowed down to merge in, but they tried speeding up. >> Okay. So, it happened right here on this virtual section. >> Yeah. Coming down here right from the intersection. >> TJ, see if you can get his driver's license information before they leave. >> Huh? >> See if you can get his driver's license and information before they leave. >> They have them. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> she's working on getting her insurance and registration for the Volkswagen. That's the driver. >> Okay. >> Um, she did say that address is current. They were just down here for business. >> Okay. >> And then that's driver of the minivan. Registration is insurance is on his phone and he has two juveniles pass. >> Okay. >> He's not leaving. >> Okay. Thank God. >> Good morning. >> Morning. How are you? >> 25 hours 26 airport. >> Okay. Where's the damage to your vehicle? >> Um, so he decides to ride for us and we got rear ended by a semi and we're already in the works of that. >> Okay. >> And then he smashed into it again which damaged this. Put the freaking nasty cut in our bumper and >> you know where the layers over there? >> Yeah. Yeah. Hold on. >> So the first point of impact was where? >> Right here. >> Right here on the side. Oh. >> So, where did he hit you at first? Back here. >> He sideswiped us. >> Okay. So, when when he sideswipes you, you guys are continuing in in motion forward. Both of y'all. >> Yeah. And then we went to go slow down because we're like, well, we need his insurance. He just us, >> right? >> And then so we go to slow down and then boom. >> Yeah. You hit us 300. >> Like, it was a hard >> You have a driver's license? >> No, I do not. Do you have any information that I can get so I can put you on the uh report? >> Thank you so much. Appreciate that. >> Yeah, of course. Thank you. >> They were in the merge lane. >> They were both in the merge lane. So, you know, right there when you come into the other side, they get to merge. >> Yeah. So they're merging and instead of him slowing down because he's got the point of >> Yeah. He doesn't have to. >> He doesn't have to. >> So if basically I know one of the lanes m that's why I'm asking who's in it. But even if so like if you're ahead of me and I'm in the straight through lane, >> this is my lane. I have the right away. You have to slow down and go behind me. There's no law that says I have to slow down and let you over. >> He has the right to keep going. Okay. >> So, if they merged over and there was a connection, they're going to be >> Exactly. Okay. >> Yeah. >> So, you're you're in the merge lane. You were in the merge lane. >> We were in the merge lane. We were getting in between these two vehicles, including him, and he decided it was a good idea to speed the up >> and then he totally sideswiped us. >> Okay. >> Like, I literally saw him push on the pedal and saw his button come up like and it slammed on his brakes and I and then he gets out of the car >> and then that's that's also >> Yeah. So even with them jumping in front of them or jumping in front of him hitting the brakes that's unlawful use of brakes. You can't jump in front of someone cuz he has to have enough time to know that you're moving on. Basically this damage even solidifies it there at fault. You jumped in front of him, jammed your brakes, he hit you cuz he didn't have enough time. That means >> they probably sped up, cut him off, which is why he has that first impact by the rear wheel. >> Okay, >> that just says that you merged over and you connected, which means you didn't have the room to come over. >> Okay, >> even even though the lane merges, the right lane still belongs to him. >> He has the right away. >> So they would be the ones that fall to me. >> Okay. All right. >> But you do your thing. I will stand by and see if you come with something different. But that's that's just how I see it. >> Did you understand what he's saying? >> He's in the straight lane. >> Yeah. >> She's in the merch lane. >> He got the rightway. >> Yeah. >> That's what that's what we're discussing right now. >> Anytime you're unless the only time you don't have a rideway is when there's a sign that dictates you must do something. Right. >> If you're in a straight lane, there's nothing that says you have to slow down or let people over. Even when you put on a blinker, a blinker is a request. It's not a mandate. So just cuz you put your blade don't mean I have to let you over. >> You have to move over when I allow you over. And if I'm not allowing you to jump in front of me, that means you slow your down and get behind me. >> Which is what most people should do cuz everybody wants to jump ahead of everybody. So that's why you get accents like this. So >> Okay. >> Yeah. And then on top of that, her jumping in front of him, jamming the brakes, >> right? >> You know, >> to then get the secondary impact. >> Yeah. That's an unlawful use of brakes right there to me. Um, that's just another simple crime. But, um, let me just Did you talk to this gentleman yet? >> Can you just tell me what happened? >> Okay. Yeah, we're um at that red light on the other side of um, Sanford on Airport. >> Okay. >> And I'm in the right lane and he's in the left lane. >> The the left lane being the merge lane. >> The mer the lane. Yeah. He needs to merge into my lane. >> Okay. >> And so, you know, light turns green and we go >> and, you know, we're going just like fine, just like normal, like any other day you would. Mhm. >> And then um he's kind of his front end of this car is probably about like back here near the bumper and then he decides I guess that he doesn't want to merge behind me. So he just guns it >> and then like you know I'm driving and there's a car in front of me and uh the lane's like, you know, merging and I'm like clearly this like the only way only place I can go is into the ditch on the right hand side there, right? And so I'm like, I can't believe this. It's like slow motion. And then like he just he guns it and then like I don't know what he expects me to do, but he just like, you know, he's parallel with me and he he just bumps me in the side, right? And then so like when that happened, I was kind like I was like, you know, I got kids in the car and I'm like, whoa. >> Yeah. And then what happened after that? >> I can't believe that what happened. And so so I kind of slowed down a little and he jumps he guns and jumps in front of me. >> Okay. >> And it slams on his brakes and then I rear end him. He immediately jumps out of the car and like like starts coming at me like here's his like he like slammed his hand like >> so the the male half was driving not the female >> I'm not sure who yeah he was driving. Okay. >> Well, yeah, I'm pretty. >> Yeah. Well, actually, no. I actually No, I'm not sure. I was driving. >> All right. >> But um but cuz it was like so shocking, but yeah, put his hand here and here. >> And you do you have an inc car or >> No, I was getting ready to start recording, but he was like on the car so fast. Like I had my cell phone, but I was >> So when he jumped out, what side did he jump out from? >> Oh god. Um, just picture it if your same side or the opposite side. >> I'm not 100% sure. >> That's okay. That's neither here or there. It's not a big deal. >> Hello. Um, quick question. So, after you guys had the initial impact, what happened with the whole slamming on the brakes thing? >> Well, we had to slow down so that way we could get his insurance information. We didn't slam on the brakes. We were slow. Did he impact you? >> Okay. >> Well, he like I almost hit the steering wheel and he almost flew into the dash. >> Okay. >> That's how hard it was. That's >> I mean, so like how soon did you get in front of him? Did you guys start slowing down? >> So, we didn't go in front of him. We were trying to merge over and then he decided to step on the gas. >> Okay. >> Like I literally saw his rear end go up. >> Okay. >> And he went to go and try and pass us and squish us over and sideswiped us. traffic. >> Okay. And and you were driving, not this gentleman? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> Midnight. >> All right. All right. Hang tight. >> Yeah, there's definitely going to be a fault. >> Okay. >> All right, miss. >> So, unfortunately, you are going to be found at fault for the crash. All right. I know you're from uh give me Georgia. Generally, laws are the same everywhere. That's why you can go from here to Florida. Speed limit signs look the same. You know, field or yield signs look the same, stop signs, all that such. So, in the state of Florida, if you're in a merge lane, someone's in a straight through lane, they have the right away, which means it doesn't matter that he sped up, you slow down and you get behind them. The fact that you sped up and crossed over, >> we didn't speed up to cross over. We are saying the same speed. He's >> What did you say? You said the car. >> No. >> So even even if you did that, >> you don't do that cuz I will arrest you. Next word outside your mouth. Better just be quiet. >> No, that's a threat. That is a threat. I tell you what. Tell you what. Hold this. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. >> You resist. You will get tased. I'm telling you that right now. Put your hands behind. >> I haven't done nothing wrong. Too fast. Send me another unit. >> Put your hands Put your hands behind your back. You're going to get tased. You're skinny, bro. >> Stop. >> Put your hands behind your back now. Put your hands behind your back or you're going to get tased. >> I'm not going to give you another warning. >> Stop resisting. >> Stop resisting or you're going to get dude. I will have your job. >> What's your name and badge number? >> What's your name and badge number? Huh? >> Turn around. >> Huh? >> What's your name and badge number? >> Turn around. Please do it. >> Okay. >> Please. >> What's your name and badge number? >> Okay. Stop moving. I think I wish you would take off that badge. >> And do what? Are you threatening me? >> No. I think I wish I wish you would take off that badge. >> Shut up. >> I wish you would. >> What's your name and badge number? >> It's on the paper. >> Oh, really? >> You buy that white meter deter. Thank you very much. >> I got you. I got you. >> What's your name? >> Lucas 2031. >> You just told me you hope you have that on record. you. >> Oh, I hope you do. >> Okay, >> man. I wish you'd take off that goddamn belt, boy. >> Keep threatening. Another charge. >> Oh, no. That is correct. >> It's a freedom of speech, sir. >> Right. Go over there now. >> Go. Oh, watch. Go in my car. Yes, you are. You are going to place. >> You got to step back. Get back. >> Touch me one more time and I'm going to have your whole department. >> You're so overwhelmed, my guy. You're so overwhelmed. >> Have a seat. >> That's it. That's it. Mama, >> we're calling the lawyers. >> Here you go. >> I know. I'm going back to the car, but I need my cigarette. You're going to jail. >> You are being placed under arrest. >> I don't care. You want me to give me >> hand for you. >> You cannot my property. He's attending the second uh white pedoph. [Music] There are four police coming to you as 123 and 103. We have heard everything. >> You are dealing with a civil right. So the driver here or the passenger that's in my car >> starts threatening the passenger over here or the driver of this car. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So I say, "Hey man, you can't make a threat right in front of me." All right. So now you're going to go to jail for threatening him. Go to put in the handcuffs. He resists. Then starts threatening me, telling me he'll beat my the badge comes off. Okay. So now you're both going to go detaining him, putting him in the car. She reaches in, tries to grab a secret, tell her to get back. She reaches in twice. Now she's going for resist. Let me get a female unit >> and then uh we'll we'll do that. >> Let my children go. >> I don't know who's on the phone, but I'm hanging up. >> I've been on the phone the entire time. Heard everything. Let my kids go. >> And I'll do that real quick for you. >> Okay. >> That's going to be vehicle one. >> She's got a dog in the car. We'll just We'll give it to the pound. Okay. >> All right. Your dog's going to the Sim County Pound. All right. Your car is going to be towed and you are going to jail for resisting. >> You have any questions? Okay. Have a day. >> Cuz I don't know if I'll get her back together again. Yeah, >> I can do the 86 for you. >> Okay, that's fine. I just Let me get her service. >> No, not when you threaten me, >> dude. I didn't even threaten you, bro. I'm going to have your badge. >> Okay, >> that's on everything, man. >> I'm going to have your badge. Where's your supervisor? >> Nope. You cannot. You're an arresty. You don't have the right. >> Oh, [ __ ] >> You can call him when you get out of jail. >> You're going to lose your job over this, bro. You think I'm playing? You not realize for? >> What does that matter, man? >> You broke the law. You broke the law. You have the right to remain son. Anything you say will be used in court against you. You having a right to an attorney. Now, you have the right to have an attorney present during all question. If you refuse to answer question, all question will be stopped. in the long. >> So that means you can be quiet now or keep talking. >> Oh, yeah. I'm going to >> All right. >> Okay. You already released the other guy, >> huh? >> The other driver, you already released him. Okay. >> You already left. >> That's fine. >> Yeah. >> He got nervous. He's >> Yeah, I I can understand, bro. >> So, I'm I'm almost 100% sure this one jumped out of the car originally, >> right? >> You know, you're not going to threaten somebody right in front of me. >> He did. He threatened him >> and he left. All right. But he was here when that happened. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. And that's why he left. Okay. >> Yeah. He got very nervous. He's like, "I got to go." >> Okay, that's fine. >> The other driver, >> huh? >> Other driver wasn't lying. >> No. Well, I'm pretty So when So there she's pissed off. Determined she's at fault. He's in the other driver's in the straight through lane. They merged over, cut him off. >> Break check him and he hit him. >> Break check him. You're at fault. He has the runway. It's his lane. you you slow down and get behind him. >> Matter who hits who. You're >> entering. >> And then you jam your brakes in front of him. You're at fault. >> So I'm explaining that to her. He gets all amped up and starts threatening the homeboy in front of me. I'm like, "Yo, man, chill out." No. No. Okay. Well, then you can go to jail. I have no issues writing this report. So I go to put him in cuss. He resists. Then tells me to take off my badge and see what happens. Well, them are fighting words per law. So you can go to jail. >> Step out for me real quick. She's just going to do a search on you. Just face the car. You got anything on you that's going to stab me, poke me? >> No. Hell no. I have no name. >> And while she's doing that, does your mother live nearby where she can come get the dog? >> I'm not talking to you, but I'll talk to another officer. >> Okay. Then the dog can go to the pound. >> Do you have anybody near where you Somebody can get your dog? >> Uh, my mother-in-law is in St. Petersburg, Florida. >> So, nobody close. >> No, but we could probably get somebody up here >> with the next 30 minutes. Uh 15 >> 15 for 30 minutes >> before the before the truck. >> Well, I get the address of where >> right outside the jail. >> You can look. >> Let me go check on him. So >> when I take when I take you, I'll find you where you >> Okay. Thank you. >> Um loosening him a little bit. >> Let's go. I want to go check on him. >> My first time ever being arrested, so I'm not used to this. And after we >> another female and another >> No, it's it's her other half. >> Yeah. Okay. >> I just want to go >> check him cuz I had to put him in real quick. >> I appreciate it. Guess first time for everything, right? >> I hope it's the last time. >> Tell me about it. >> Not very. >> Yeah. >> So, you think you're going to threaten me and get away with it? No, that's not how it works. right here. >> I just want to check his cuffs before I 86 and just walk over here with me if you want to step out. >> I already know. >> Come on. Get out of my ain't going to do nothing stupid. >> I don't think you will. >> Come on. >> I'm just making sure your cuffs are not tight. >> Oh yeah, bro. They're tight as >> I can literally get three fingers in there. By policy, all I have to do is be able to get my thumb in there. All right. >> You see that, right? Thumb. >> I got you. >> Thumb. Three fingers. You don't have anything illegal on you, right? >> No. No. Maybe up. But no, >> I'll let the jail deal with that. >> All right. You got >> Hey, I got some Taco Bell, man. Y'all up my breakfast, man. My burrito. >> I was trying to talk to you lady. See if there's someone nearby I can get the dog. >> Um, yeah. The closest one. That's the Delta T pen, you know. Which is legal. Some weed. You say it's legal in Florida. It's got weed in it. THC or >> it's the delta 8 or delta 10. The ones that you get out gas station. >> Uh it applies to going in the trash cuz the jail won't take it. >> Yeah, I got you. >> All right. What's up? Well, I can tell you I've been here 7 years and I've never lost in court, but there's always a first time for everything. >> You got to read case law, my man. When you start using fighting words toward an officer, that's against the law. >> Okay. >> Telling me to take off my badge and see what happens is considered fighting words. Yes, it is. Okay. Well, I guess we'll play it out in court. Then threatening the guy. Keep keep going. That's the reason you're going to jail. Keep going. >> I've won three different lawsuits. 143 $250,000. >> Oh man. So you So you're used to So you're used to getting in trouble? >> No, I'm not used to getting used to what I can do when I >> Well, you can't threaten someone right in front of me. It doesn't matter. >> You just say like Texas where it's mutual combat. >> It's not mutual. Do you know what mutual combat means? >> Combat is where >> someone wants to fight you and you want to fight them. >> Exactly. >> The gentleman was not even out of his car addressing you. So, how is that mutual? Keep going. Please add more so I can just put this in the case. >> I love you guys that know all the terms and don't know what they mean. Mutual combat. It's mutual combat, but the gentleman is inside of his car. >> Okay. >> I don't care. You could you could work for the president of the United States. I don't care. I know where you're going right now. And that's to the Sim County Jail. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> They were charged with resisting an assault. He was fined $661 and she was fined $39.
