on November 5th 2022 officers responded to an altercation where a male had punched a female and was attempting to restrain her here's what transpired when the police arrived there guys did you guys see your witness a fight nearby you were involved with one no I think they were okay hi there is everybody okay were you guys involved with a fight yeah I was he's in there yes yes I'm the at the Daniel's Hall entrance with possible complainant all right who's who's on where okay so basically what happened is this girl she was in like a black T-shirt in the elevator and this guy was trying to like okay and so the guy in there in the you sweatshirt and such was trying to basically yeah what was he doing he was like trying to grab her a guy was leaving he was trying to grab she was yelling she was she was unhappy she was like she said help me help me help me and so I went over and I buted him I was like don't don't touch her what do you think you're doing get away from her and then he just a feeling you guys aren't supposed to be he just came on to me and basically was like what are you going to do about it he was like what are you going to do about it and then he came on and hit me he was hitting me took me to the ground I bit his hand hand so he would get off and he got off of me whose hand did you bit bite sorry his his hand so he assaulted you he assaulted me as well he assaulted her and he assaulted me the other girl he was punching her as well get down down now get out get down now hands on get get down now your hands behind your back right now stop resisting get group of about five to 10 individuals that walked off this guy was with them earlier in the night from getler Stadium he said his name was Chris is that Chris yes he's a UC student we got his Barat card all right so we got at least solid with um DC4 resisting with us I had to tackle him at the front door okay so so we'll we'll uh we'll do the charges for mine what's that I just asked his car let's go and take him station and get the paperwork no no no paperwork take him straight down to the jail get the 527 and do it all on right there down there at the jail you want to do an you can can they notarize it down there they can do everything got but only you're going with his DC4 resisting RS we'll we'll file War for her charges once we get the whole story because he was banging his head and everything do we need a call fire to check him out okay just making sure we I mean he's banging his head buts all right let's go while he's got spot we I don't know what I got seat Bel I don't was just trying to be nice and then we were then it stopped at floor 3 and he um like tugged my shirt and like grabbed my bra and was like you're coming to floor 3 with me you're coming to floor 3 with me and I was like I don't want to go to floor 3 with you like leave me the alone so then he got back in the elevator and his friend was still there and it kept going down to the to the to where we are right now to the level and then he was still pulling me and then I like finally was like can you like I pushed him okay and then once I had pushed him he like went for my head and kept like hitting my head okay he went like right here and then right here and then I I saw this the one girl I don't know where she went but she yes she she's the one that called the police okay and and she she was like what's going on like and then and then he like fully like took his fist and like went back like he was going for a full punch and punched me in the face okay so he did punch you in the face or he CED like he was going to no he fully punched me in the face I see it I know no he punched me in the face 1 okay I just I I wanted to make sure I heard that correct that's the only reason I asked I see it for sure but I can't infer things I need to hear it okay yes he punched me in the face and I would like to press charge his face all right we were getting there perfect so so then I I heard her like yelling cuz she was she was calling 911 and she was yelling cuz he had gotten out of the elevator and after he had punched me in the face and then I would I just kept I hit the button to close the to close the door cuz I wanted no like I just wanted to go home and then I hit floor 5 and then I went back up to my room and like looked at my cell phone mirror and called my friends and then I came back down cuz I was so pissed and then that's when I did I'm sorry I did I did yell at him while you guys were tackling him and that's when you guys were like okay get away get away but I was like I'm sorry I yelled at you but the reason is because he's obviously in a high State quicker we get him and get him out here so I apologize for you you okay um so there's a thousand steps from here to what's going to happen he's going to jail all right we'll get that up he's going to jail for a minimum assault he ran from us he's going to jail for the night so that's done okay you said you um Sam DAV and a witness okay witness okay good yep um do do you need medical do you need the fire department I don't think so that's what the other officer was saying you said you were hit in the head I'm just going to say you never know what's happen with head injury so I would say but it's entirely I can't for you do hard but I died you got adrenaline head hurts tomorrow and she like because it will it like correlate to be a [ __ ] sure it could yeah um I would just because I always on the side of caution I I would say you to look that just because we need to know you're okay okay so what that would entail is me calling fire department they come and look at you they would say yep you you probably should go to the hospital or no you shouldn't okay just make sure though like do you think you're okay um I mean honestly I don't know go and call them no it's okay okay okay all right you said you are willing to press chares correct so what that entails and we'll go into a whole lot on this um she's going to get you an affidavit which is essentially a statement of truth you're going to write what happened basically what you just told me you're going to be like this is what happened this guy did this this this and this okay thank you yeah um a lot happens that that's a firework it's okay it's a firework um so so um as far as you're statement of fact that's going to go with us for the court documents okay so we have this this is for both of you out did you get hit as well yes she the lady talked do do you want to see the fire department at do you think you need to be seen to make sure you're okay um I think I'm okay my sister is driving here now to come me I think he is with or victim and he's keeping an eye on everything I'm okay um I'm going to direct you to them highly highly I'm going to try to push this is we have something called a victim's Advocate her name is jenro she is literally the best person on this plan can I write some things down you can write down whatever you want we also I'll give you literature as well but normally we call her to bring her in I would recommend we bring her in person right now right now she will if we call her she will she will be more than willing to come and what she does she does multiple things but she'll she'll help kind of hone this if anything with school is wrong anything with housing is wrong she helps facilitate that University as well as nothing to do other than with that guy well I know but let's say he does live here you might not want to live here anymore she helps just keep that on okay then once you do go to court she goes to court with you so you guys know what's going on you guys aren't there by yourself Court to First charges yes everyone is afforded the opportunity to cuz you're other person who was in the elevator with her it was oh his there was on her sorry it was his friend but I didn't get any any further information from there but it was the gentleman's friend who was it's in my door okay not a problem tell me what happened from when you first walked in the door when I first walked in the door I saw this one guy there were two guys at the elevator and there was a girl with a TI Ed sh black right there and they there was yelling and then the first guy left walked out and then she was in there and this guy was starting was like grabbing her pulling on her and she was yelling she was like no no she looked at me and she went help me help me help me and he pushed her into the elevator and he started hitting her like punching her like literally you saw him punch I saw him punch her how many times did you see him hit her like two or three or like there was one in the lip there was one in the head like grabbing trying to get her like just quit you know and then I was like to quote I was like don't touch her get the off of her what the do you think you're doing and he looked towards me and he went like what the do you think you're going to do about it and he started walking towards me and that's when he hit me in the head he hit you as well he hit me multiple times as well he hit me in the head I got like an elbow or something he grabbed me I tried hitting just elbowing hitting he got me to the ground he grab was grabbing my face and and at that point I bit his hand like you bit his hand I bit his hand do you know if you broke skin by any chance I think yes cuz there was blood in my mouth okay and he said okay okay stop stop and so I like let up a bit cuz I thought he was going to chill but he did not he went he kept going on me okay at this point she had went up the elevator you're not just a witness to this you're actually a victim in this as well okay yes all right at this point you're okay take a deep breath at this point she the elevator had closed and she was going away I she was not in the scene after that I was yelling for the ra the ra took a couple minutes to come around and then he was off of me just standing sorry you're okay that's okay be just chill you're all right sorry I say just chill but no I take breath you're all right take your time and he was just standing there and he started to try to fight the ra you know for a bit but the Ra was able to like get him calm down and at this point there were probably like three guys around the one in the long sleeve shirt he I don't know he got here but he might be a witness and I got okay just take a deep breath sweetie okay would you would you feel more comfortable sitting we can sit over on this brick wall over here yeah absolutely this one best go ahead take a seat you're all right I got two officers over there so they're going to watch my back for me okay and so um and then after that he was just like standing there against the all of the other two elevators just chilling he had calmed down at that point there were I'm thinking two raas or an RA and a friend who were keeping tabs on him I know multiple people call 911 that's um when he I met him I was running to leave not necessarily but they had kind of contained him and I went to the first person I saw and I went you call 911 right now cuz my hands were shaky and then I was able to call but he was standing at the door the gentleman over there with the long sleeve he was standing at the door and we were just kind of at like a stand still point where he was against the wall de sweetie you're okay where he was against the wall and they were like to is a guy him and me I was just standing in those two spaces with the window to essentially make sure that like if I needed to get out I could get out but also while having a view and I made sure I took some pictures so if I I want to paraphrase very quickly what you told me so I can get the correct paperwork for everyone and then I have a couple of other questions for you yeah so when you came to the doors you saw this young lady in the black shirt with a kind of tiedyed bleach sprayed shirt you saw her and the gentleman um in the black sorry black and red cincin sweatshirt on the front it just said Cincinnati Bearcats down this Le here okay so you came in you saw him pulling her back into the elevator you went over to the where the elevator was still open and you saw him hit her two or three times and then you intervened and he came at you and he hit you about how many times two or three times and he brought me to the ground okay did he did he hit you somewhere in the face yes where here here one of the two sides okay I do the reason I ask is cuz I do see a little bit of a red mark right here so I just want to be sure that's not from the stress or anything and that's from I was yeah I he went with his right hand sorry he went with his right so I'm assuming into my here okay probably I don't remember all the Motions but that's all right I'm sure we can we can try to figure something out on that I'm just trying to figure out how many times you were hit yeah probably two or three two or three times and then came out and S watched my I was like but whatever all right let me go and get you some paperwork and then since you did get hit do you want to press charges as well yes okay perfect um hang tight for me for just a few minutes um I would not be upset if you wanted to go inside but just sit on that couch so that you're out of the breeze okay that's completely up to you but I don't want you to go up to your room or anything I I would rather stay out here with like with them sure yeah not a problem give me just a few minutes okay I don't even know anything about him yet just so we have another victim she was hit over there so I'm going to go grab um some affidavit and a witness form a witness she okay you good Yep this my car we actually have take down to jail let let jail I got to secure
