on January 99th 2023 dorville police responded to a call from Mike resi Nissan in Atlanta Georgia about a man suspected of using a fraudulent identity to buy a car an employee pointed out the suspect who was sitting in a black Cadillac Escalade about to leave tell me exactly what's going on so he stole a vehicle December 27th yes and you never got the vehicle back no but he came back up here yes and down Le 3:25 107 325 to 315 I'm out with the black escal occupi by three get out of the car come here get out the car it's blocked hello turn around hands up you got anything on you want need to actual identity holder called in and verified that it's identity theft so this this gentleman is stolen somebody else's identity to buy a car okay buying a car yes and bought the car through you all correct okay here's the whole folder and the file and I can't give that to you but we can make copies and stuff but I'm just I'm not taking anything basic whose identity did he steal this whole him they apparently have all the paperwork he bought yeah go after he he bought a car using Kyle grit Burgers identity and apparently they sold it to him they sold him the car yeah he has a whole and validated that it's 100% a stolen identity and he did not purchase a vehicle from us uh and this gentleman has a Audi S5 that we need to get back does um the individual that s his ID his identity was stolen do he have a uh does he have a police report out on it is he from Georgia or New Jersey New Jersey this um let me see is this the folder yes you got the uh uh so here yeah yeah yeah my car's locked they can't open the door is that the idea you gave you yeah it's a New York idea so so did he he he bought it straight out or is he making payments on it well there were going to be payments on it under another person's identity okay did he give you a Georgia address no no did the whole thing under the New Jersey so what did he come back up here today for he thought he was coming to collect a check okay and a second key so so have you done a report on this before have we just found out minutes ago and so he beat we were getting ready to file this report M but he said I'm driver's license he provided it correct no he provided this driver but this guy provided that driver that's correct so F ID and the guys remember he was trying to get back into the SUV while officers gathered information from the employee inside the dealership the suspect told his friends to hide the fake ID he had used BR it's in it's third row tucked all the way by like the cups and yeah wait wrongdoing despite the ID match so what so they saying I stole a car from them you use you use the fake ID to purchase a car from them in December what that's the same picture he got me on there yeah anything and by decep no can I you can say it in court but I mean I just I wanted him to know that we got 300 cameras and I'mma put the car in that's stolen but we can help him in the way of charges right with by deception like we can make a decision whether or not we're charging I mean um he's going regardless with the identity theft but if you think you can get your vehicle back if you want to
