stop stop what happens when criminals try to run away from the police [Music] running on January 26th 2023 in Lakewood California a curious incident occurred involving a suspected car thief and the local police the case began when officers were called to a scene where a car theft was reportedly occurring upon arrival the police found a woman inside the car and promptly blocked the vehicle to prevent her Escape all right I'm going to need you to take me to jail please okay hop out of the car no take me out of the car hop out of the car absolutely not I'm not going to do it you're not going to get out of the car so you're going to resist you're going to struck all right let's hop out okay come on there we go get that lighter got get that ligh I catch them on fire oh my God they're breaking my wrist Come On Me My Rights what am I being arrested for sir now what am I under arrest for being detained you stop running your mouth we under the law okay what am I being detained for officer I will explain that all to you in a second what am I being detained for explain officer relax sir relax what am I being detained for because you're in a vehicle ma'am this strange request started a funny but Annoying back and forth where the suspect kept asking the officers why she was being held even though they had already told her many times officer Frasier what am I being detained for okay listen just so you know you're being video and AIO recorded okay okay what am I being detained for because you're in a vehicle that does not belong to you it's another person's vehicle and now okay and now what well we're going to put you in the seat we're going to make sure you have nothing on you that's not legal what is it's called you know you potentially you're trying to Ste the vehicle or I'm not trying to steal the vehicle why am I being detained cring at the most at the at the most so am I under arrest yes you are am I under arrest what am I under arrest for what am I she even questioned the terminology used by the officers like when they refer to stolen credit cards as access devices okay you're why am I being arrested you're also under arrest for being possession of other people's credit card which is a felony how's that okay when is that a felony I want to see no I want to know what the law is there don't lose that that belong to somebody who is de talk to my boss ma'am here's your right here's your right ready what here's your right your Miranda Rights ready you have the right to remain silent anything you say can be use against your court off you have okay trespassing and possession of access devices of what credit cards they're called access devices as the situation escalated the officers attempted to read her rights the suspect interrupted continuously demanding copies of laws and repeatedly asking the officers to clarify her charges since when that they called access devices show me that law oh here I have them taped up here I need a copy of that can you be an audio I would like to see a copy of the law that states okay listen I arrestable for a felony offense okay listen for having atic card that I found on the you stop talking for two seconds no okay can I write advise you of your rights you have the right to remain silent anything you say can against you in a court of law yeah the right time talk to a lawyer and have a present with you while you're being questioned if you cannot AFF to hire a lawyer want to be appointed to represent you before any question if you wish you can decide at any time to to go to the hospital my wrist is broken I'm pretty sure I am pretty sure that pretty sure that you have broken the bones in my hand and or wrist and I would like you to take me to the hosit you understand the right to you yes or no no I do not okay thank you yeah okay I'll help was she actively trying to start it did she have a start driver yeah I don't know if she had I don't think she had a start I think she just back and forth continued with the suspect feigning ignorance about the severity of her actions and even questioning whether certain items like a screwdriver found in the car belonged to her up to start anything but okay uh but she didn't have a screwdriver trying to mess with this okay um that's why I and and whose car is this is this a customer's car well Greg oh that that's actually I don't think it's actually his I think he's just baring it um but he he he's driving right now I think it's a friend of his that he's baring so okay is that the screwdriver down there that little thing or is that your screw huh no no that was pulled out of the middle console she had a bigger one she had a bigger one yeah is it still in the car somewhere uh yeah that must um yeah I have no idea who that is and um okay it's yours okay right here I don't I don't know for sure the bag yours the bag is mine yeah okay despite her persistent inquiries and objections the officers finally explained that she was being arrested for possessing stolen property and possibly attempting to steal the vehicle am I under arrest sir yes yeah we told that a couple times for vehicle prow say it again vehicle prow is that even a real all let me see it I want to see it okay well you're bring it up on the computer screen no no no you're going to get booked into n squal jail right now okay okay that's all all you give us your name I gave you my name okay the police had to explain several times what she was being charged with as the woman seemed intent on not understanding or accepting the reality of her didn't call who knows what would happened she was taken to the local jail where she was booked for vehicle prowling and resisting arrest despite her attempts to confuse the officers and evade responsibility the law caught up with her uh I'm pretty sure that gives me a couple extra Grand there cuz I Pissed My Pants y pissed my pants because they were yanking on my arms and I have previous injuries to my solar plexes and my uh I can't remember what the it's called rotator cup because my children are hats because I have severe pgsd from previously being assaulted FYI in the next case it's difficult to determine whether it's a matter of entitlement or absolute Madness on July 13th 2022 in Glendale Wisconsin a high-speed chase on folded stop stop they're bailing off the freeway they're bailing off the freeway tyan Parker an 18-year-old was driving with his friends James Adams 19 and two 17-year-old boys they were speeding at 50 MPA in a Zone marked for 30 MP when the police tried to pull them over it quickly became clear that they had no intention of stopping the situation escalated as the police deployed stop sticks to Halt the vehicle but even that didn't stop them it's running [Music] running yeah go [Applause] [Music] the car unable to maintain control eventually crashed as the vehicle came to a halt the teens did not surrender instead they bailed out and started running it was a frantic scene with deis flying from the car including a loaded gun and money scattering across the road 7 9 hasard crossing the beer line Bridge lot of De brief coming from that car and it looks like they're pulling over they're pull going a bail stop stop they're bailing off the freeway they're bailing off the freeway all the all occupants are running stop stop they're jumping the freeway they're going to go on to by the holiday in the police were quick to respond they chased the teens on foot shouting commands to stop and show hands amidst the confusion some teens tried to argue pleading with the officers and even asking them to handle their belongings gently the chase continued with the officers trying to manage the fleeing teens constantly instructing them to stop running and comply stay with the car 100 BL 47 there's one running by the Children's Hospital hey one's getting into a Toyota one is going to flee in a Toyota South on Port one entered the holiday in where'd he go stop stop I got one M black white tshirt like P running towards the river line behind Holiday in 768 a lost sight but he's still running South behind the holiday in hey allot driver was not just speeding he had a suspended driver's license and was wanted on two warrants one for carrying a dangerous weapon and another for his involvement in a bank robbery oh Ty come on up his arrest tyan displayed a sense of entitlement arguing with the officers about how they handled him claiming he had bone issues and was handled too roughly despite having run from the police just moments before after discussing this let's look at the case of another person with a very sad experience on July 17th 2023 in Tampa Florida someone hurt a grownup woman with a knife the police in Tampa found the car of the person they think did it the person drove away fast and showed a gun to the police the police followed carefully through the the city because the person was driving dangerously and didn't seem to understand how serious their actions were also let's see if we can get units on Armenian Howard yeah he's not driving fast Armenian Howard probably be good he just passed Hees he's in the left lane he's still uh a day he's wanting he's going northbound Glenn from Kennedy Northbound Glenn from Kennedy 20111207 Runway right clear for takeoff stre very little traffic back here roads are fairly dry and uh probably doing 30 mil hour my shut off my car and gray now continuing Northbound on Glen Northbound on Glen from Gray got an officer I think two blocks the chase went through the roads of tamper not too fast the police worked together to stop the car safely they tried using spike strips but the person drove around them the police talked to each other staying serious and concentrating they followed the car from Kennedy to Glenn then East on Cyprus all right do are two blocks ahead he's coming to you set up those spikes one block out one block south of you pull the Spikes all he's coming up to the spikes now for the units behind this vehicle might have caught one edge of it now he's going to be eastbound on cyers tried to drive around the spikes Eastbound cypers coming up to Lincoln now still continuing eastbound next major is going to be uh mcdill coming up to mcdill shortly if we have anybody over near mcdill came 2011 what youart mcdill still eastbound 2011 you have a good a conduct part here anybody down towards Howard Armenia area for spikes [ __ ] 910 you on theu 9 left C 165 One n left for 910 sh Char 3 99 turn left at contct traffic need Del coming up to uh Armenia next one's going to be Howard if we have anybody in the area with spikes cutting around cars through Armenia now still eastbound Cyprus [Music] see any spikes let's get more cars up here we got anybody Northbound up towards uh like George MLK or MLK or Columbus passing St John still slow going probably 30 40 miles hour me the 1636 is on the Wind 1 Columbus going to be going eastbound Columbus eastbound Columbus from Howard if you would advise sector e just in case it continues across and if we can get somebody in sector e to start set up some spike strips on Columbus that would be good during the chase the police kept talking to each other all the time they told each other where the person was going and if the roads were okay to drive on luckily the roads were clear which helped the police follow the person driving didn't care about staying safe or keeping others safe they drove fast through busy places and even went through red lights without stopping much high traffic traffic coming up the highlands some congestion in front of him probably going to cut around going to be go Northbound Northbound on Highlands he's going to be coming up to uid now Northbound Highlands did not hit the spikes eastbound ID eastbound uid eastbound ID flight down 23749 right down through an alley now second please flamp hold short new departure instructions will be Z mainr t000 contact 234 holding righten 11 19 signal 4 Florida and GL Florida GL in a surprising twist when the police got to the car to catch Michael they found him not moving even though the police were chasing him it seemed like Michael might have taken his own life come here come here come here come here come here come here come here come here come here all right the uh
