On April 14th, Flagler County Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence in Palm Coast, Florida after receiving a report that a grandson had struck his grandfather. Both parties gave conflicting reports and deputies did not observe any injuries, so they left. Deputy called the grandson's mother and explained the situation. However, the mother insisted her son was abusing his grandfather and only stayed for the money. She then requested the deputy to kick him from the house, but he explained they lacked the authority to evict him. Hello? Yes, can you hear me? Yeah, I hear you. Yeah, my mom said I'm Brandon's mother. She said that Brandon had hit my father over the head. Yeah, that's not that's not uh what happened and from what Brandon is telling us um they're saying that Willie has dementia. Um and even on scene I even Let me just Let me Just hear me out real quick, ma'am. You know, so we we were on scene. We we spoke with all parties there. Um that apparently Willie had uh defecated near the front door um cuz there was still feces there. Um and then I guess Brandon asked Willie to either if he can clean it or if he needed help cleaning himself and then Willie became very irate with him and uh started throwing things within the house. Uh even while we were on scene, Willie was wanting to throw a metal bottle at him. We had to tell him not to do that. Um so uh Brandon just Brandon just wanted us there to uh just kind of document what we saw cuz I guess he's going to try to do an ex parte order on Monday. Uh But Brandon do you know that Brandon Let me Brandon has a Georgia residence. Brandon doesn't even have a Florida residence. Brandon lives in Georgia. Uh I hear you. Brandon is a guest. He's a guest in their home. So I've been I've been to this house quite a few times now, ma'am and he's been there every time. He's been there every time. But just again, just you got to hear me out. I understand where you're coming from cuz they were trying to tell me that as well. They just wanted me to kick him out, but you know, he has he has established residency in the house cuz he has belongings there. Um And that's it. Yeah, you know. No bills in his name. Right, but that's all it takes that that's all it takes is to establish residency in someone's house, you Yes, I Florida Florida residency absolutely. There's even But here's the thing too is he was telling us before that he's the caregiver for them, you know, so Again, we Let me explain to you. Let me Let me Officer, please Yeah, no problem. I hear you. Okay, this is my son. This is my son. It is a thing about money. My mother and them have money. Okay. Brandon is trying to get their money. He has lied on my father several times to get my father out of the house because he can manipulate my mother. Please listen to me carefully for 1 minute. Absolutely. I just left there 3 days ago. I stayed with my father for 3 days in the house. But my mother was a resident here. I just left Florida. My father showed no signs of dementia. Mhm. He ate, got along fine. He has a doctor's visit the doctor visit that I took him to in March. He was fine. The doctor declared no sign of dementia. He has to go back in May. Brandon has set this screen up to try to get my father kicked out. He even tried to get me to kick my father out of the house. Okay. Okay, my mother is scared. Brandon has a gun in the home. My mother is scared there. She's 87 years old and can't move. I understand that. He has a weapon. Either he gets rid of that damn weapon or he can't stay there. Not with the way his attitude is. He's trying to remove my dad from the home. The only thing I can really recommend to you, ma'am is that you're probably going to have to come back down here cuz this as far as kicking him out of the house and it's all a civil matter between you um Willie and They they they're not safe with that gun in the house cuz he's crazy. My mother just called me screaming at the top of her lungs. He can't stay there with that weapon. I'm sorry. Which which if that's what if that's what you guys if that's what if that's what you and your parents decide and you want him evicted from the house, that's entirely up to you. I have no issues with that whatsoever. I want it recorded that you'll know there's a weapon in the home. Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely. Not a problem at all. I understand. All right, as long as it's recorded that I told you he has a weapon. I'm going to document it right now for you, ma'am. So obviously we we agree. I I agree with you that the situation at this house probably with Brandon being there is not great, but we I don't have any sort of uh ability to force him out of the house. So what I would recommend you do is just you know, you're you're documenting this as much as I'm documenting it and you can certainly go through that through that eviction process as long as your parents are okay with that because they're the ones that own the house, you know, so um it'll have to be seen by a judge and then they go ahead and determine whether or not he can be evicted and then it goes from there. Um I'm documenting My thing is now with my mother, officer, I'm all the way in Georgia. My mother she's so scared, you know, Brandon got this damn gun in the house. Have you talked to Brandon cuz he's he's got to calm down cuz the gun could be something to happen. Yeah, and I and again, I'm not sure Every time I speak to Brandon, he's he's never irate. He's never screaming. He's very calm. He's explaining what the situation is. Okay, that's my father. That's I I understand, sir. I am his mother. Yeah, I know. But Brandon has a lot of stuff going on mentally and I know him better than anybody. I hear you. I hear you. He's done this several times. I'm used to it, but I'm worried for my mother and stuff with that weapon in the house. Which rightfully so. I don't I don't blame I don't blame you at all. Right. Okay, I understand, officer. Thank you for your time. I'll try to get down there as soon as I can. Excellent. Thank you very much. Okay, thank you. All right, thank you. Bye-bye. Bye-bye. On May 1st, Deputy Sanders returned to the residence after the Florida Department of Children and Families DCF received new abuse allegations from the victim's out-of-state daughter. Valentine denied any abuse attributing it entirely to his grandfather's poor health. He claimed to have everything recorded on his phone, but the video footage at that time was dark and unusable. During the conversation, Valentine claimed to have another video that would provide a clearer picture and promised to send it to the deputies. So we're following up on that. Um I guess there was some accusations that he was throwing items at you and Yeah, he tried to hit me with something. Yeah. I got it on camera. So that's why we're here. Um you had sent that video to DCF. Right. Um so I looked at the video. He it it's the video is shaky and it's kind of blurry, so I can't really tell what's going on. Okay, so Pretty much explain to me what happened in the video. Okay, so I woke up. I usually go get coffee in the morning, right? And I woke up and I house was like at 90° and I I guess he was like tripping or something. And it was feces on the kitchen counter on the side and on the floor and on the doormat on the inside and outside. Um so if you look, you see that that doormat was there for years and it was one on the inside. I got it on video. So I go in the room and I say, "Papi, man, you got to help me clean this up." And he he he gets up and he says "Nigga, you crazy. I I cleaned the house last night." And I'm like, "You didn't clean the house at all, you know, like something's going on like help me clean this up. I don't want to clean up feces." I'm just going like in the details. So he gets up and starts going crazy like ape [ __ ] I I ain't seen him like that, you know what I'm saying? Waking me out of my sleep. [ __ ] you, [ __ ] Da da da da da. So I I walk out the room and he say, "Why I ain't I'm not cleaning shit." So some kind of way he got to the doorway and by his and his back was by his dresser in in his doorway. And then In his room? Yeah, in his room. So when his back was at his dresser he said, "Man, get the [ __ ] out my way." And I said, "Man, I'm not moving. Like you don't you don't tell me what to do." Like you know what I'm saying? Like like that. Like we're talking. Now all of a sudden out of nowhere I see his little flare gun on the bed, you know what I'm saying? And I'm like, "Oh, shit." So he tries to pick up something and the room the room is like uh a little dark, you know what I'm saying? It was like a little dark. So it's not like actual light like what we see and he's reaching for something. And he tries to come across and hit me and I I cannot demonstrate, but not demonstrate. Just tell me what you did. okay. Okay, so so I push him on the bed, right? I push him on the bed and restrain him and then he just starts going crazy. I'mma [ __ ] you up. I'mma kill you. Da da da. So, I let him up, right? I let him up because he's not a normal 91-year-old. That's what people fail to realize about him. He's hit or miss. Do you get what I'm saying? Like he still drives, he still does stuff and then he'll go blank. Okay. And he's strong like he still walks around the house, fixes stuff. All the neighbors can attest to this. So he still So he still has like bits of confusion and everything, but usually he's sane and able to go and Able to go, right? So that's what I'm saying. So so I had to restrain him because he tried to pick up a item and hit me, right? So I let him go and then he comes out and then something said, man, pull out your phone cuz this never happened. So that's when I get it on camera what he was trying to throw at me. He was trying to throw Now I found out it was plastic. It was a plastic thing with a with a um with a aluminum cylinder at the bottom. Okay. So I it looked like you know like it was heavy, right? So I was like, oh [ __ ] So on the camera he tries to throw it at me. I'mma I'mma get you. You know what I'm saying? So I got that on camera and then something happened and then we we got close to each other again. So he goes to pick up the cylinder right by the TV and pop me across the head and that's when I pushed him and pushed him down and then I got it from his hands and then I was telling like the camera you know like my grandmother like everything's fine. So that's that's pretty much what happened cuz he was like he was like this close to me trying to pick the the cylinder up. Right. I got it all on camera. You get what I'm saying? But the biggest thing with him is people don't understand that he is a active 91-year-old. He's not your average uh frail He was moving around pretty good in there when we were talking to him and stuff, so tough. They they they don't make them like him no more. You get what I'm saying? So it's not like I'm just taking advantage of him. I had to protect myself because if he hits me over the head, anything happen. I I've had four concussions. You get what I'm saying? I have a handicap sticker in my car right now. You know what I'm saying? I've been in bad accidents. Okay. So it's nothing like previous head injuries and stuff like that. Okay. Hell yeah, I got previous head injuries. Okay, so that's why you were worried about him throwing that at you. I didn't know how heavy it was even though it was going to clink clink on the floor. It had a metal piece You said no worries. I didn't know if it was a solid aluminum piece or I I didn't know, but I was I'm not taking no chances cuz he could hit me with something and I could black out. You get what I'm saying? So um until then, nothing really ever transpired like that. That was the first time that it ever got physical between me and him. But what I've been dealing with is a parade of insults constantly like I'm talking about for the past two or three months. Okay. He's just very negative. Just [ __ ] you, [ __ ] Da da da da all around the house. Like I even got some of it on video. Okay. He'll come to the door because telling him the right thing to do is the wrong thing to do nowadays. Do you get what I'm saying? Yeah. And he'll come to the door. Oh, [ __ ] you, [ __ ] Boom boom boom beating on the door. You don't tell me what to do. See that? Nobody sees all this. You get what I'm saying? So I've been dealing with that just to myself. My grandmother knows, but she's going to side with him cuz they one in the same. They could do no wrong to Yeah. You get what I'm saying? So they they stick together pretty much. So that's that's honestly what happened. It wasn't like I was uh taking advantage of him. Yeah. Well, that's I'm on my exit strategy working, you know, doing Uber at night and looking for a job to get out of here. Okay. Cuz I just want to leave him alone at this point because if they don't sign any paperwork for me, it's nothing I really can do. Yeah. Yeah, you get what I'm saying? Like when she flipped the switch, I he literally I asked to help him up. I didn't get that on camera. He literally crawled from his room all the way cursing me out. Did you see that on video? He was Okay, see she she sent bits and pieces. I hate when people do that. So I got him on video telling me he was going to kill me crawling across the floor. I said, you going to do what? I'mma hurt you, [ __ ] Da da da. Do you still have that video? Yeah. If I give you my email, can you send me the whole video? So that we have the whole video so that it's not bits and pieces. Yeah, I I mean I can send you everything that I have. Um I got to go to the AT&T store cuz I don't have the Wi-Fi here. You know what I'm saying? But um I can send you everything, man, because what I started doing is documenting the activity even from Which is good. Yeah, yeah, I I because I have to protect myself. That's why I won't even change my grandmother she goes to the bathroom because she flipped the switch so fast based off what he said and I never struck him. I only restrained him. I never struck him. I would not hit my grandfather, but I'm going to protect myself. You know, I after I read up on dementia, I understood, you know, what it entails a little bit. So I just I don't bother, man. All right, so then that was left out of the report like we didn't know that you had any injuries to your head and stuff like that like multiple injuries and stuff like that. We didn't know any of that stuff. So that's good for us to know so that we can document that in our report and stuff. But uh Yeah, if he's able to give you his I'll give you my card with the email address on it. Yeah, okay. And so that way you can email me the whole video. Yeah, yeah, I I'll get you the uh the other pieces to the video. Cuz I know I know how people are, man. I I know how society works and at the end of the day, I'm not trying to bring up color, but I'm a black male. You get what I'm saying? Yeah. People use a narrative to escape what's really going on. See the other guy that was the social he did a a case first. His name was Bill. Okay. He was saying how it was running the house before all this stuff happened. Okay. Yeah. So I'll be glad to share anything. You can call me. So you got your card? I have the card. I walked to the car. Yeah. Um I'll get on that I'll send that email with everything over. I got to go to the AT&T store cuz I use their Wi-Fi. Okay. Yeah, like I said, not a problem. We just rather have it so that we can document everything on our side. We just got like I said, DCF dropped this on us and it was like, hey, this is what we have and then we're like, yeah, we need more information. Right, right. Now I appreciate you stopping by cuz I it allows me to tell my side versus what you guys are being told. Sometimes I know dealing with elderly, they just come right away and pick you up. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Which isn't fair, but it's two sides to the story. I did call the police. Yeah. They didn't call the police on me. All right. I appreciate it. Okay. Thank you very much, sir. Yeah, thank you. Oh, no. I'mma do it today. I'm about to get up and start going and then I have to go to the AT&T store. I'll send it directly to you. Okay. All right, thanks, sir. With that, the deputies left. Later that day, they received the video. Get the hell out of here. Hitting me on my goddamn neck. No, I did not. You did hit me ON MY GODDAMN STOP DOING THAT. Do not pick anything up. Do not pick anything up. I picked a goddamn Don't you Give me this. Give me this. Stop acting irrational. Stop that. This dude is crazy. Picking up bottles. I got it all on camera. He's okay, Grandma. Just chill out. On May 2nd, after reviewing the video, deputies returned to the house with a DCF employee to confront Valentine. He maintained his claims about his grandfather's health issues and felt unfairly accused by everyone, insisting he was the one who did everything, implying a justification for his actions. Hey, Willie. What's going on? It's Jones. Is uh Is Brian here? Okay. Huh? No, we need to talk to him. No, but I didn't say that. I just need to talk to him. Okay. Yeah, not bad. How about yourself? Okay. What's going on today? How's everything going today? Yeah, I'm going through. All right, take it easy. All right. What's going on? How you doing, man? All right. My name is Detective Molton with the Sheriff's Office, okay? Okay. Um there's a detective down by my car that wants to just talk to you, okay? I guess about the whatever case has been going on. Okay. Okay. Same guy I talked to you yesterday, is that right? Yeah, I sent everything to Yeah, yeah. To me. Yeah, sent it. Any weapons on you, man? No. No? All right, we're just going to walk down here. All right. Good job, man. What's going on? Um the detective pulled on up, asked us to come here and grab you, and she wants to talk to you. I guess she has some questions for you. Well, like what? About the Yeah, about the video, whatever the you know, whatever the video the video you sent me and stuff. Hey, what's going on? Man, let's have a conversation. Yeah, he's fine. Sorry. I was just about to go do her laundry. Oh, yeah? Yeah, she Grandma? Yeah, because after what happened was, right? I don't go in her room, I don't do anything. Like because it's such an uncomfortable like in the click of a switch, it just changed. Like you can ask anybody around here. I've been down here for like 6 or 7 months. [ __ ] stuck. Stuck. He has dementia. Like it's the it's the worst situation. He won't go. Everybody's like stepping in on this situation. Like I'm the issue. Like and I'm really pissed off because I've been doing every single thing by the book. Everything, right? I'm talking about wiping my mother's ass, cleaning her room, like religiously. He acts up one morning and gets physical because of the dementia. And I've been dealing with this for months on end with him just saying violent stuff to me out of the way. You know, like he's It's It's the weirdest thing that I'm dealing with. You get what I'm saying? Well, that's why I'm here. I want to find out everything. Yeah, like Yeah, we can just talk. Yeah, it's just it's just terrible. Like I'm just tired of it. Like it's So, when did all this start? Like when did you say you moved down here? It started It It It just It started when I moved down. Like it's just been terrible. Like since November. I've been here since November. Like I'm tired. Like I'm getting mentally drained. Like I don't [ __ ] with police. Like straight up. I mind my business. You get what I'm saying? Like the questions, everything. Like I'm tired of it. You get what I'm saying? Like it's just to a boiling point now. Like it's just nerve-wracking. Okay. And you said you've been doing it since like November. Since November. My mother's been full of [ __ ] Straight up. I got everything There's in-home care nurses, though, right? Huh? No. No? She only comes here a couple times a day. It's It's only the uh It's only the uh the hospice because she was on hospice. And I did everything to revive her back. You get what I'm saying? Diet, prep, everything. So, this is just big [ __ ] man. And I'm not crying. I don't really care. I'm just saying the same. I mean, do you want to go in the shade? No, I'm chilling. I'm all right. It's just I'm I'm tired. Like nobody should be here. Okay. Yeah, you get what I'm saying? Like it's just to the point where come here because I woke up and wanted to come here today. No, I mean I I I mean I get it, but you get what I'm saying? This is It's He Florida has so many stupid laws that protect the elderly Mhm. that it hurts the people trying to help them. If that makes sense. Okay. Because they like I I I can't explain it. Like you you just have to you will have to sit and visit for over a night and see what he does and how they act. They get in the room, they huddle up, and they they think somebody's trying to take something from them, and nobody's trying to do that. Nobody's trying to do that at all. You get what I'm saying? So, what happened that incident that started all this? What do you mean what happened? It's It's him every He wakes up a new person. That's what I'm saying. He wakes up a new You don't know how he's going to wake up. So, what I did was I called the police. I videotaped it, right? And this is This gets me on a detective's car, right? For doing the right thing because of the state we're in. You get what I'm saying? That doesn't make any sense. They didn't call. I called. I I sent the video. multiple calls. Call Yeah, but guess what? If you pull the receipts on all of the calls, and I have them in my bedroom, the the incident reports, they only called one time because I took the knobs off the stove. They wanted me kicked out the house because he leaves the stove on. You get what I'm saying? Okay. So, let's go back to that incident you said it got physical for the first time. Like did you run it through how you I mean, I I ran it through to him yesterday, and it's on the video. That's just That's just it. Like he I just I mean, I I just talked to you yesterday. I know. I know you talked to him. You're probably done talking about this, but Yeah, like I I I mean, I I I I Like I'm I'm telling you, right? This is a family matter, whether he's elderly or not. If you want to do anything to help, take him to a facility to get him diagnosed because everybody comes here, says he has dementia, but nobody's helping me. I'm the one that's just stuck dealing with. Nobody's It's like you can't do nothing in the state of Florida. Like I I even called the number that I had, right? To help him, and they said, "Oh, we don't do it in Flagler County." So, I can't physically take him out of his own house. I'm just stuck. I'm in the room. Like I don't even talk to them anymore after that happened cuz it's so uncomfortable. And the um and the social worker told me this months in. You can call her. Uh Jennifer. She said She said, "Be careful, Brandon, because they can switch like this." And God is my witness, that's what happened. I did nothing wrong. Nothing. Okay, so let's talk about the DCF report that just came in today. Mhm. About a firearm? What do you mean? I I I I don't You tell me. You said there's only X amount of reports that were taken. What's the one with the firearm? What What firearm? What firearm? What What? Do you own a firearm? Wait, I have my personal weapon. Okay. I'm asking you a question if you own it. All right, cuz there was a DCF report that came in. Do you want to hear it? No, because I don't even bring my firearm around them. It's to the car when I leave cuz I keep my firearm with me and in the room. It doesn't skate around unless I come in the house and I'm unloading groceries. I don't even participate in them [ __ ] [ __ ] games. So, don't even I like I'm really getting like super pissed off because I'm actually a good guy doing the right thing, and it's very embarrassing to me in this community. I've been coming down here 30 [ __ ] years. 30 [ __ ] years, right? 30 years. 30 years. It's never been incidents called until they got older. Does that make any logical sense to any human being standing here? Does that make any sense? I've been coming down here dribbling up and down this street for 30 years, and I'm getting questioned by people that feel they're doing their job, and nothing's wrong with two people going getting older that don't want to leave. They don't understand change. They They They can't do it by themselves. They can't run it. Don't you understand that? It's not me. It's not me. I took the I took the things off the stove. They called the police. I say something to do something right, they call the police because people have executed this dynamic to them that it's okay. You talking about a You, whoever Whoever it is I've never met them. I've never met them. I know, but okay. So, whoever is backlogging this that channels the information to you is full of [ __ ] ma'am. Trust me. I'm telling you. I've been coming down here off and on, sacrificed some elder years of my life. I'm 41 years old. Every neighbor can attest to this. I come down here, right? And do welfare checks on them, and my own [ __ ] mother won't do I've been I've I've lost travel time that I can't even get back. And I'm sitting on a detective's car getting questioned about a video I took. I took the video. I know. I called out of my own safety because it did get to that point, and I need help because people need to recognize what's going on in the house. Okay, we were notified. You sent that video because a DCF report was generated. So, you're now under investigation through DCF. The DCF worker said that you sent that to say, "Hey, this is what I'm going through." Right. So, you didn't send that out of your own like will. You sent that in defense of them doing that. No, no. It's no It's no defense, ma'am. Two officers What I would like you to do is call the officers that came over during the incident because he even tried to hit me in front of the officer, and the officer said, "Hey, look. If you do that again, I'm going to have to detain So, it's not I'm doing everything I can responsibly. So, I get what you're saying, but you don't know the output that I've already given. Do you understand that? The officer physically saw my grandfather have the bottle, and he was like, "Oh, [ __ ] do do do do." And he said, "Hey, if you do that again, I'm going to have to detain They didn't put that in the report. I called the police for my own safety. I've been coming down here with with a gun forever. It's It's that they're old, and they're trying to get things done their way. They huddle up in the room, and they think anybody is trying to do anything. If you come over here, you come over here, they're going to huddle up against you. It's just something that I'm going through. It's more of a family matter. That's what I'm saying. That's all I'm trying to get through to people to understand. How the hell does a black male that has been raised in this house come here for over 30 years, right? They've been living in this house since '93. I got pictures that prove my identity in this house, right? Okay. How How do they start calling the police now? Why Why am I what I'm asking. Right. But but what But why am I a problem now? Like Does that make the allegations? Right. But But allegedly versus what Well, there was a video. He wants to explain your side of that video. I told him yesterday it together if you want and I'll No, I I told him yesterday like I have a head injury. That is true. I've been in several car accidents. I have a handicap sticker. Anything tries to hit me, I'mma protect myself in the head. That's what I'm saying. I don't know that the the the the uh the thing what it was if it was metal on the bottom of the bottle. I'm not taking chances. So, I moved him out of the way. He just happened to fall. And I took it out of his hand. I didn't punch him or do anything. Like it's in the video. I took the video. Then I sent it to the DCF worker. She tells me, "Oh, the state of Florida doesn't um we don't um look at videos that are are done by one party." Where's the help? What what What's going on? Like like my 91-year-old grandfather is going to have a video video of me like taking a video of me back. Like I'm trying to help myself. This the first time it ever got like that. But he's getting old. He aging. Like I I I don't know. Like What do you want me to do? What do you want me to do? What do you want me to do? I just I'm just asking. You're asking me what I want you to Yeah, I I just Yeah, I'm asking. What what what What else can I do other than be do things the right way? I'm trying to do everything the right way. Okay, let's circle back to the report that you and your mom you said you know she was one of the RPs that had called in reporting party of what occurred. Yeah, I mean So, where would she get that information from? Because I guess my grandmother told her. Just like the time I came from playing basketball and that's in the incident report. My grandfather fell. [ __ ] up his face. Like it's it's Like I'm talking about like you would think a robber came in and [ __ ] him up and took something, right? I came in from playing basketball. She still called the police saying I hit him. I didn't touch him. So, does she suffer from any mental illnesses? I I don't know about my mom. I don't know what she does. But anybody that calls time with her. What is your grandmother like? What's her day-to-day? You mean my my grandmother? Correct. She has like slight dementia. She goes with whatever side Huh? She's diagnosed? I I I don't know. I don't I don't She She forgets stuff. You say, "Hey, I'mma fix since November. What do you know about them?" I know everything about them. They They have slight dementia, but it's not what people come in and and and and jot down. You have to be with them because they open up like light bulbs. Like they have a light bulb effect. Like if if we in the house chilling, they'll forget [ __ ] all day and sometimes remember it. But if you guys come in a new face, you'll never know that they have it. You have to sit You have It's a process with them. Just like him. He gets up and he drives. All every neighbor that comes by here, "Why you ain't take the keys?" You know why I haven't took the keys yet? Because I don't want to get into an incident with him because he is a dangerous old man. He'll [ __ ] my car up. That's how petty he is. That's why I haven't took the keys. I took the damn I took the the knobs off the stove. He beat on my door for 5 days. "You [ __ ] get out of my house. [ __ ] you piece of [ __ ] We can't cook." Mhm. I didn't call the police. Why'd you take the knobs off the stove? He forgets. He'll He'll cook fish. He'll call them. He'll cook breakfast. He'll just leave and go in the room with the stove running. I have that documented on video, too. Okay, so back to that video that you recorded. What led up to that incident? I know there were some other videos about him defecating all over the house. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's just a it's just a simple thing. Cuz all I have is this video and I'm trying to get your backstory and how it led up to I mean, it's just a It's It He didn't get pushed on the ground. He got pushed on the ground. We can watch it together. No, I I did not. Okay. I'm protecting myself, right? He went to grab it in a way to hit me. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Like Nobody's hitting If Look at me. I'm I'm a well-built. If I strike or do anything of harm to him, it will get done. It'll get served right then and there. It's Absolutely. With that knowledge in your mind Right. Why didn't you walk away from him versus going towards him? Didn't Didn't you see Didn't you see him throw the bottle at me? Not in that video. this how close I was to him. He grabbed the bottle He was about to hit me. I already You can see the You can see his actions coming through. Like I've stopped it before it started. Like come on. Like I'm not wasting my time with that. Like How do you side with somebody that's not normal? Like don't you understand like Okay, so I'm using your logic. Right. As we all can see. Right. Um now you want to fast forward to him you knowing he has a water bottle in his hand. I don't know what is at the end of the water. It was like a metal piece. That's what I'm saying. Like I don't With him being 91 and in his state, you think he'd be able to harm you with that bottle? He'll If I'm asking you a question. Don't Yeah, no. I'm Don't you understand I've been in crazy accidents? I wrecked my BMW doing 120. I ran into a parked car. The only reason why I That's how I have a handicap tag. Anything Anything if I get hit even when I play basketball, you could pull everybody I play basketball. I don't drive to the hoop. I just shoot. Because if something happens to my head, I don't know what can happen. So, him hitting me or striking me, it could do something. I'm not about to chance that. Okay, so again with your logic, you're not going to chance that. If you see that in his hand He pulled it when I had the video on him that close, right? That's what I'm saying. So, I got him away from it. That's what I'm saying. Like I was like, "Yo, what are you doing?" And moved it from him. Like what Like what what What are you What are you saying within your logic? Just make it make sense. Cuz My logic is going off video. This is why I'm talking to you. I want to know the events that led up to that. You're saying you're a much bigger, stronger man Right. If I did any Yeah. old, and he's and he's not no. This Like one thing you got to do is he may move slow, but it's the weirdest thing. He He still gets out here and works in the It's certain things he can do and can't do. He's He's old, but they they made them tough like Ford's back in the day. They don't make men like him no more. He's like a old tank. Yeah, you think he's frail, but he's strong. I'm telling you. So, he can or cannot take care of himself cuz now No, he No, he can't he He really can't. That's what I'm trying to tell you. He Technically, he cannot take care of himself. Okay. Every time I leave for a long period of time, that neighbor right there, India, she has to watch him. Cuz he falls. He does everything. That's what I'm trying Like it's hit or miss. I can't gauge it. Nobody can gauge it, but nobody can get him or make him go without doing a Baker's report or Baker Act report. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Okay. Okay. So, what's your relationship like your grandma? Because there's allegations coming from that direction, too. So, why would she say that stuff? She was in the room. He came in and started crying. From the From him scooting on the floor saying he doesn't like me to uh getting in the room. He started acting like a big crybaby. "Oh, he hit me. Oh, he's crazy." All the officers that's been over here seen this stuff before. Nobody's reported anything in favor of me. It's just like, "Oh, yeah. We deal with this a lot." And they type up a little report and then that's it. They go about their business. That's it. Okay, so you're saying your grandmother never witnessed any of this? No. Heard any of it? She heard. That's what That's what Okay, so the other day, right? He pissed on himself. The officers came. He peed on himself. In the living room in the chair. And I said, "Hey, man. You need to clean up." "Oh, I'm not cleaning up. Da da da da da." This what she does from the room. "Bill! Bill! Don't worry. They're going to get him out the house anyway." Then they go off. Huh? Who was she referring to? You guys. The police. Okay. Right. That Wait. So, if you look up this incident report, it happened within a week because the DCF case manager said, "Oh, it's okay to call the police." All I did All I did was tell him to clean up his pee. Do you get what I'm saying? Clean up the pee on you because Hello. the acid and stuff. Just wipe it up. Mhm. That got the police called on me. So, I don't I don't deal with them cuz I have no paperwork on it and it's just it's just a travesty. That's it. Like nothing nothing transpired. All right. And now there the recent allegation. We're running through everything that we have. And the recent allegation was you had a firearm on your Do you want to hear what it was? No. We We can't We can't listen We can't listen to that because I've never I've never That is a You need to arrest the person that's saying that because I've never been around him with my firearm unless I was leaving the house. That's That [ __ ] right there hurts the [ __ ] out of me. You want to see a grown man cry? Don't even finish that cuz that [ __ ] never happens. That [ __ ] never happens. Never. Never. Never. These are my grandparents. You understand me? Nothing ever No firearm nothing. That's for protection to me. That No, we're not going to do that. I'm not even going to accept you telling me that cuz I'm not listening to that. Cuz that never happened. That never took place. It never happened. Do you understand what I'm saying? That firearm is on my person and that's me coming and going and leaving the house. That's my right. That's it. It goes in the car. I do not carry it out. I am not a a resident of Florida. I have my Georgia permit. That's my firearm. That's [ __ ] That's a [ __ ] claim. Nobody has ever did anything in the manner of pulling a gun out on anybody or anything. No, but it it doesn't That's [ __ ] I'm just letting you know as a human being that's [ __ ] I don't play those games. Well, guess what? If you take a one side, I'm telling you the God honest truth. That firearm is never displayed in any aggression towards anybody. It's When I'm in the house, unless I'm coming in unless I'm coming in the house like from putting up groceries or something, that firearm goes in my room. I take the clip out. I put the clips that's in the chair and I put the firearm in in my gym bag. I have a routine. That never happened. That's [ __ ] I promise to God. God strike me down, give me a heart attack right now. I promise you. No allegations should be brought up of any firearm of any sorts. I do not play with that. I will listen. I will listen. But what what When was this incident? When did this happen? allegedly last week that it was on your hip. It didn't say displayed. It said it was on your hip and you're walking through the house. No. No. I I never No. No. I never I never No, because when I'm in the house, the firearm is never on me unless I'm leaving the house. That is [ __ ] I've never I've never had that firearm used while talking to them. It's a routine It's a What do I I promise to God like I I don't even play like that. I don't play like that. I'm telling you the truth. It's no if ands or buts. That never happened. That I've never walked through the house cursing with my firearm on me at them. Never. It's never turned never transpired. They're Like it's BS claims. That's what I'm trying to tell you. That never happens. I never walk around in the house with my firearm. Never. You walk from your car to your room. Yeah, right. No. No. Never. Nothing has The only thing that preempted this situation is when when when I called the police. That was it. Everything from here on has been just disarray. Because the police were called on me like 4 days ago. 4 days ago for me telling him, "Hey, you pissed on your leg." Then it went into a whole spiel of "Oh, we called the DCF lady. We can get him kicked out of the house." For him peeing on his leg. I have the video for that. I have the video for that. No, having to piss on his leg and I'm sitting there telling him, "I didn't do anything. I'm just telling you that he pissed on his leg." He's like, "Oh, I I pissed on my leg. I'll clean it up." They called the police for that. I don't I'm I don't do nothing. Like what Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. Mhm. So, the in-home nurse, right? are getting it wrong. Okay, so Okay. Where is the disconnect? The disconnect is somebody is working against me to get me out. And I've done everything by I Probably my mom. It probably is my mom or them. They want me out. You see how he's looking out the door? Cuz he's worried about his grandson. He knows my grandfather is one of them people Hey, you go talk to him. He'll be like, "He ain't never did that." Like we you know, it's just a family matter. I'm telling you the truth. I I promise you. It's allegations that are false. It's Even how the allegation got to this point is BS. You get what I'm saying? After the police left and and the report was taken, that was it. I let it go. I just was like, "Yo, I just need to fall back from doing anything for them." Like I don't I haven't even touched my grandmother. Even if she goes to the bathroom, pisses or shits on herself, I will not touch her because she flipped the switch that quick for nothing. She saw nothing, heard I mean, she heard something, but nothing. Yeah, I'm telling you my my Listen, I I don't have the best relationship with my mom. So, I I'm not sitting here saying that everything's peachy keen with my mom. Like she can make up her own stuff. Because she talks to them more than I do. I don't talk to everybody. I just stay to myself. I don't know. I don't I'm not on the phone with them. I I talked but everything got switched around. Don't you understand? Everything got switched around. Right. And I'm telling you ever since the little incident happened and them wanting me out the house, everything switched around to a Brandon's bad. But everybody else that's came around here knows that's not the case. Care Mhm. Okay. I I I I don't know. But that's that's beyond me, man. I Look, that really hurts my heart. Like I ain't even got time for it. Like I promise you, I'm not even that type of dude. Man, the police officers, the EMS, everybody knows I don't even do anything. I don't like I cook for them everything. All that stopped. I have to stop. I have no paperwork on them. Because they Because I don't have any money to leave. Don't you understand how much I lost? Don't you understand that? Right. I have to work. I Don't you You think I can't leave the house. I was my primary's mother, my grandmother's caretaker. You can't work a full-time job. I have to get myself together to leave. Everything that I own and my credit is bad. I keep a 650 credit score. 750 is shot down. Don't you understand that? Everything No, I don't. That's gone. Okay. That's gone. How can I take care of a place and I'm here? Like everything's lost. That Like Predicate that. Like I don't I can't leave the house. Like the even the nurses was like, "Yo, well, if we find out you have a a a full-time job, the state will take over." Like I've been doing a lot. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Everything is just false and bogus. Like I can't even believe this. Like I sacrificed so my identity. Hear me? I was the only family member that came down here through the years. Every time they went to the hospital, every time, I was down here. Or I made my way first. I've been coming down here forever. I sacrificed key travel years of my life to make sure that they are well and good. I don't I don't even I I don't know. All of this just came about after the incident. That's what I'm trying to tell you. Why Why don't you think Why don't you think, right? What did I say about logic? Has this ever been reported before? No, I'm I'm Just think about it. These strong allega- It just came down. I've been here since I've been here since November. What? November? December. January, February, March, April. Yes. We're at the end of April which is going Well, seven. Today is the 1st, right? That's 7 months. These allegations just came up. Make that make sense. I'm making it make sense by telling you, "Hey, something's going on. Somebody's against me here." I've never Like And then you Like I don't know what else to say. Like Imagine if I didn't even get it on video. I don't know. Like I've been down here 7 months. I don't even deal with them no more. I just held out the little bit that I can. I don't to them. I stay in my room because I do not have the paperwork on them to do anything helpful. Don't you understand that? I just come and go. That's it. That's it. That's all I do. Right now, my grandmother needs her clothes washed because he can't wash them in the washer. I called my grandmother when I came back from St. Augustine. Hey, I got to get in the room. I got to wash her clothes. I got to take them to the laundry mat. That's it. That's it. Going to get her clothes, dry them, fold them up, leave them in the room. Whatever he wants to do with them, that's what he does. That's it. And And me in the in in This is how I tell you this is disingenuous. The the caretaker that comes here in the evening texts me every day. I have texts. Texting me every day. Hey, before I come, you know, I'm on the way. On route. [ __ ] don't even text me no more. That's super funny. I got all the Hey, I got all the records of the texts. Which every texting you? Like last week. I have the records in my phone. This is what I'm saying. It it is BS. Like I don't I don't know. Like it it's just nothing's adding up. I know. That's what I'm trying to That's what I'm saying. And and and and I'm telling you like after that happened, nothing is adding up. How do How have I been down here this long? Like I I don't I don't get it. I don't get how I've been down here this long and now all The stuff is getting stronger and stronger. And he's walking around the house with a gun yelling at 90-year-old people. Okay. No, that wasn't the allegation. You didn't let me finish. So Okay. Yeah. I mean, if you want to know and you don't want to explain I'm I'm listening. I've explained a a a lot. Like I I you don't want to explain this. No, I'm No, I'm saying I'm listening to you, but I've said I said I've explained a lot of logical things to this point. I can't explain every single thing. I understand. Right. Uh what you told me, what I don't understand is why all these people would say this. And then when I tried to tell you the recent allegation that was made, you don't even want to hear it. You don't want your chance to even talk about it. false, man. I swear to God. I swear to the almighty God in heaven. The allegation was you were inside the residence. You had a firearm on your hip. Mhm. It does not say concealed or unconcealed. It's on Okay. You walked into the home. You're in a verbal altercation with your grandparents. Within this verbal altercation, you were stating that you were going to take their home, that you need money, and you're going to get them in a old person's home, and you're going to be taking over the house and getting money. So, you can respond to that you don't, but that's Let me let me factually I wish I could call people. Since the day I moved here, I never wanted a dollar from the sale of this house. Everybody knows that. I wanted to sell the house for them, put them in the right care, and put the money in a trust so it takes care of their health care. I own trucks. I make more than this. All I got to do is get my CDL, get my credit right, and get a truck. That's it. That's my primary business. I don't want any money. They said, "Hey Brandon, what you doing a good job. We'll help you out when you leave." You get what I'm saying? That was told to me by them. I don't want any money. Everybody knows that. Like India knows it. The people at the facility, I said, "Hey, I want to put them in a care facility and make sure that they're okay. I don't want any money from the house unless they give it to me." So, that's false. And plus, how could I say something like that and I don't even have the the power of attorney? Who has that? My mom. Okay. I have That's why I'm telling you the nurse, you could call Jennifer on the phone. She said, "Brandon, you're doing a hell of a job down here, but be careful dealing with old people." No. Uh No, her social worker. Right. She said, "Be careful being comfortable changing them because it can switch on you." God is my witness, this [ __ ] switched. Call You could call her. That's her social worker. I swear. That's a fact. Okay. Yeah, I'm not here to lie, but man, I like come on, man. Okay. I mean, now I just want you to see let's use logic like you've been bringing up. About 15 minutes ago, you told me you have no money. Correct? Yeah, I do Uber. That's the That's the only thing I can do. you told me you have no money. Right. You can't leave. Right, but I have And now we have allegations of it being said that you want to sell the house, you want to get the money. No, wait wait. I didn't I never The only time I stated to sell the house was to help them, not to help me. Who did you have this conversation No, I I'm looking for jobs. You can look at my Indeed. I'm giving myself with? Huh? Who did you have this conversation with? What What conversation? Which one? That you're trying to sell the house and put it towards their health care. I I told I told that to the social workers, the the other DCF report, the guy Bill. I told that to like numerous people. I never want their money. They helped me so much in life. They bought me cars and stuff. That's why I feel obligated to come down here and help. Hell no. That ain't me. I get my own money. They can chip in and help out, but that that's it. No, I don't want their money. They worked for this. Did you ever have this conversation with your mother? Uh probably so. I probably got it in the text. I kept all of the texts because of everything that's been going on, but I I verbally told her I told her that. She even said, "Brandon, you're right. They're old as hell. There's nobody that can do anything for them. The best thing is selling the house and putting it towards their health care." Yeah. Yeah, I probably got that in the text somewhere along with her cursing me out. I Man, I Man, I'm a man of cursing out your mother? know. a It's a It's a It's a mom. My mom's not the best mom. I didn't grow up in the best conditions. You get what I'm saying? She feels you know, I don't know, man. I just That's something I'll talk to the therapist about. That ain't got nothing to do with me or what's going on right now. That's just her. You see what I'm saying? Like don't you listen to the biggest part of the picture? These are her parents. She should be here. She should stop what she's doing. I I was supposed to leave like If you're trying for me to get to agree with you, No. No, that's cool. I'm not going to agree. I was supposed to leave in January. She wouldn't come back down so I could leave because I was going to stay with a friend and go to truck driving school. I have the paperwork. It was either It was either January or February. I have the emails where I had to stop my school. I got the I was supposed to I was supposed to been gone. Okay. I got the paperwork to my school. I paid for the school already out of pocket. I was supposed to be back up in Atlanta. With this situation, I was told that I couldn't leave because they needed the help. I couldn't leave. So, but you're not helping them while you're here. Not now. Not now. As of last week, I don't do anything. I'm I'm looking for jobs. I'm working Monday. If I got to get two jobs, all I do is Uber. I can show you my Uber day. He swears I come in the house and sleep all day. When I go out at night, I'm not partying. I got all of my transcripts from Uber. That's what I do to make money until I find a job. I every I have the proof of everything. I got it. It's all in my phone. Why would the grandson be here? Why? Why wouldn't the grandson be here? Why? Cuz I have a lot I'm supposed to go to school. Right. No, my my mother's healthy. She's of age. She has common knowledge. She could do it. She ain't here. So, you think it's far-fetched for a grandson to take care of Uh super far-fetched because every medical professional that has come into this house has commended me for the work that I'm doing, and they said they've never seen it being done on a daily basis. Not saying that a grandson were there? All of them. All of them. Just ask them. I did, but um one of our recent claims came from the medical professional Which one? Which Which one was it? I'm just curious to know. Was it Was it Tara? The the young lady or was it the the nurse? Who was it? Because all of them who came here. A DCF report was generated from them. Right, because it it it has to be the nurse because the nurse stopped talking to me. Or she went and told somebody. That's the only person go and tell somebody? Because what I'm trying to get at. I'm trying to understand. guess what? I I just told you I have every time in text messages when she calls me. All of a sudden after that was made, I've been trying to find out because the lady that comes in the morning she would come talk to me and say, "Hey Brandon, the little Asian lady that I got from the church." They didn't get it. I started that from the church. And I talked it down on $15 a day. And now guess what? You could call Beth. She doesn't feel comfortable coming over here no more. That that That just came to my door today. I I could give you her number. And please do take it and call. Please do take it and call. She told me today, she said, "Look, it's a lot with your grandparents." She's Asian. She said, "I I you know, I'm not trying to say I don't like your grandfather, but he's just different now that And I I I don't want to be, you know, in any situation, but I don't know how long I'm going to be able to service your grandmother in the morning." That's fact. Got it in the phone. I will give you her number. Telling you. I promise you. I ain't here to lie. I I promise you that happened today cuz I went to the bank to get her money. And she said, "Oh, just hold it till Monday." That's what she told to me. And she gave me a lady from the church named Pam that's trying to help them because she knows the situation. I promise you. And I have that in my phone. So Okay. Do you have any other questions for me? Can I get my phone and show you and give you the lady's number to call? Beth, the one that feels uncomfortable? I mean, yeah. You can just walk in with one of them and grab your phone. Yeah, that's cool. Come on. What is going on now here? He's just grabbing his phone. Huh? He's going to grab his phone. What? He's going to grab his phone. From his room. he taking out no goddamn money. He don't take nothing from nobody. No, no. He's going to He's going I give that lady money when he got We don't have goddamn money. He's just going to grab his phone from his room to show us something. That's all. Yeah, cuz I don't I'm tired of this [ __ ] They always coming with the same [ __ ] My son don't take no money. I got goddamn No, no. He said that. Y'all got goddamn He's not He's not saying he is. But but she's coming She's coming like he's stealing something. Cuz when I came in, I was going to do the uh get put the load the clothes in the uh I was going to use the uh use the bathroom and put the clothes in there and get the bathroom. But then I was like, "Man, let me just lay down before I go to the laundry mat for 2 hours." Cuz she got and stuff that got to be checked. Okay. So, this is the lady's number, babe. She's She's the lady from the church that comes to help. Okay. Babe, now what I'm saying I want you to call her because she knows everything that's going on in the house and she's the one that's saying Pam's number, but No, I I I just took the top second Yeah, all right. I'm just saying this is the text that she sent me today saying that um she comes in the house. He was arrested for abuse of elderly or disabled adult without great harm and battery, person over 65, and transported to the Sheriff Perry Hall in May Detention Facility. Okay. Well, after following through after everything I have information, we do have enough to place you under arrest. Yeah. Okay. So, um they're just going to take you. Can I put my change in my hand back? And um we have a sworn affidavit that was signed. You need to search Man, come on, man. I'm sure that these aren't super tight on you, but Like Why? What do you mean? Like I came out to throw the phone. Just Just put it back in the room. Like I I Like I don't have nothing, man. I don't know. You're saying you don't have nothing to have nothing with. I still got to check and do my job. I mean, it's cool. It's just like, man, I'm in a whole 'nother state. My family's older. Like how the hell am I going to get out? Like nobody like Oh, this is [ __ ] up, man. I don't even know I don't even know nobody's number to help. Like nobody How the hell am I going So, you want to bring your phone that we can get numbers out of it? It's going to go in your property for Yeah, but they going She's arresting me. I'm not I'm going to physical jail. Like how? going to physical Right, that's what I'm saying. How? How am I going Like I can't use my phone in jail. Does that mean they would report you after you get numbers out of it? Yeah, for whatever you want Correct. All right. Okay. The damn wrong dog, Kevin done. I That's my house here. Now Isn't that Brandon? That's Brandon. That's my goddamn That's Brandon. That's my boy. You just said Kevin. Who's Kevin? Kevin His name is He called him Kevin. Why did he call him Kevin?
