on May 14th 2022 around 1:00 a.m. the chamble police department received several 911 calls reporting a male knocking on doors in a residential area officers promptly responded and located the man with his wife the couple claimed they ran out of gas and were seeking help however officers found their story suspicious considering the abundance of gas stations nearby hey man you knocking on people's doors yes sir I Manan you know it's 1:00 in the morning right I KN yeah I'm looking for some uh gas I got money I'm from out of town and my gas gauge is broke okay and I live in Oakwood and nobody around here's I mean not even a drop I don't want no free handout or nothing I just need some gas yeah man it's 1:00 in the morning we got like 6911 calls you got ID yes sh go ahead who's in the car with you my wife she got idea as well I think so yeah have her step out sa yeah he wants you to step out baby yeah I'm embarrassed R you got a knife in your pocket no oh yes yes I do I do I do if I get that off you while we talk for my safety appreciate you I gave it back to you I promise I'm just go sit it on my car youever been arrested before sir no sir well yeah yeah yes sir yes for what DUI that's the only thing right yeah just DUI mhm so I'm curious how did you make it all the way back here got lost where were you trying to go cuz to get back here you pass gas continue to roll downhill and uh see if anybody had some gas out where were you coming from though uh Oakwood what road did you take to get here from Oakwood oh I don't know what road we made the wrong turn yeah well that's the thing you can't you can't Wrong Turn it's one straight shots called PE Street Boulevard to get back we were going down P Street Boulevard you pass you passed you passed about four gas stations to yeah I rolled downhill I was I kept going downhill I was trying to get me and my wife out of here the woman mentioned visiting a friend but upon further questioning the details became inconsistent so listen it's hard for me to believe your story because you had to you had to come down about four or five streets off 141 to get down here you can tell it's out of gas no no I'm not I'm not arguing that I don't think you came from 141 which is the main road in here I think you came from somewhere else we just left IHOP I'll give you my credit card information I pay with my credit card we left ihawk there's a little gas station that was up to the left it looks like it it's not even a store it's in center of the yeah and there's a QT right on the other side we passed that's why I said you passed like three gas stations to get down in here it was closed so we went to the right I mean we were St just stuttering the way down here I got you what are y'all doing down I swear to you I'm trying to get some gas go home what are you doing on this side of town he's got a friend up here that we come and visited when questioned about any illegal substances in the car both occupants denied having any is any dope in this truck no sir no sir absolutely not either one of you ever been arrested for dope no sir you don't look too sure there you go that's more like it I don't like when people I don't like when people lie to me cuz I asked you when you first dealt with you I said you ever been arrested before you told me DUI right yes yeah the dopest would have been a little more honest wouldn't it the man's demeanor shifted becoming increasingly nervous and agitated I knew you was going to find it I mean you know I just don't want to be characterized as somebody like that you knew I find somebody what I did when I went back to my car when I got his ID was look on his criminal history and see he's got way more in the DUI why would you lie to me that leads me to believe maybe you maybe you doing some crimin cuz you was stereotype me oh wow all right something embarassed happened in my past you still got to have it or no you ain't got no doe in your pockets no you just empty your pockets on the tailgate when asked to empty his pockets a bag containing a white substance fell out and the man quickly swallowed it he was immediately apprehended and EMS was called to transport him to the hospital what's in the bag man meth just put it on there man seriously stop stop stop stop don't fight don't move don't move I'm not spit it out man I don't want you to die out here [ __ ] spit it out it's not worth it spit it out I don't have it on me don't don't do it are you Ser don't take me please [ __ ] kidding me dude that un clinch un clinch your wrist or I'm going to hurt you man why are you arresting me what am I under arrest for you just destroyed evidence right in front of Destro no evidence that could have been nothing it was if it was weed it's a ticket in the city if it's a if it's weed it's a ticket in the city sham I didn't know that he just ate it what did you swallow 343 radio go ahead and start me try again in the tank it was white what was it we got I wanted ate either meth or cocaine right in front of us whatever man now you got to go to Grady for like the rest of the night and then you go to jail for what obstruction and destruction of evidence obstruction of evidence obstruction and destruction of evidence you literally ate it in front of us that is the definition of destruction of evidence do you need a dictionary let me keep searching evidence for what you had no right to even search me did I search you or did you enter your own pocket that's some [ __ ] man that's some [ __ ] so bring Bond me out there ain't going to be no bond some [ __ ] man I didn't give you the right to search me you have no probable cause you had no probable cause I didn't search you you emptied your own Pockets you have no probable cause to do this
