So, if even even if I'm just sitting here, you can't say hey I have any type of line that says I'm there there there or there. So, you can't say like you can't fine me the to anything. So, that's what we're trying to figure out. Do you know anybody that stays over here? >> You don't? No No, sir. That's what I'm saying. I'm I'm on the I'm on the road. Who do you want to speak to? >> What did I do? I'm sitting in my car. It's okay. I was sitting in my car. What was I doing? >> You can sit in the back. My sergeant is right here. Nah, cuz they I'm I'm going to be locked in here. Nah, I need to know what I did to You've already been explained your charges. Have a seat. I am the shift supervisor. >> I didn't do nothing. So, it's a warning, but I didn't do nothing. What did I do? >> Have a seat, sir. I didn't do nothing. I'm going to ask I didn't do nothing. Have a seat in the car. If you want to talk to me from there, we'll talk. And so I can be locked in here like You are under arrest. Yes, you're going to jail. >> For what? Have a seat in the car, man. We're not going to sit here and discuss it. Smell the alcohol on his breath. So, I'm going to I'll we can talk to them. Let's not have contact with them while he's here. Okay. Um I can talk to him if you want. You can go ahead and run him down, however you want to do it. Okay. Um I'll talk to them and explain to them about getting a a TPO against this guy. Okay. Cuz he needs one. Yeah, definitely. And truck situation is if you want to leave Just pull past those doors. I'm going to go in there and I'll turn it off. Okay. That way it doesn't set him off. in the back of your car. Okay. And I'll just give you the key and you just put it in his property. Okay. That's what's going to happen. Hey, he was hiding a a handgun. There's a pistol down here right right behind his seat where he was laying back at. That's what he was hiding. When he was moving around. Yeah. I can see I can see it from the outside here. It's in the floorboard right here. So, he came over here to to do business cuz he had this thing out. Um I see what appears to be marijuana in the uh center console. So, that might get us in the car anyways. Um I'm going to call Foreman and see what see what else we want to do with it, but you're good to go. Just book him on that for now, the LMP. drove by and I was every GMC was like two or three other GMCs up there when I was putting the lights on. Yeah. Before I got up to him just to not trip anybody off. But when I got up here and I did it, I saw him kind of like lean like kind of like duck back >> Yeah, and then when I turned around and put myself in that position, I was just trying to make sure he didn't take off and run anywhere, but yeah, that's when that's when you told me to get up here cuz you talked to him. I'm glad you waited. I just had a feeling on this one, you know, somebody coming over here. The notes in the call said that um banging on the door and he and he you know, he shouldn't know this address. It's been a year, that kind of thing. Um yeah, that pistol is laying right here. And I saw him kind of like back >> he was he was moving it. That's why that's why I went around the other side. I couldn't see in there. He I was like he's moving around way too much. >> yeah. Oh, nah, what's going on? Get your seatbelt put on. For what? Safety first. There you go. Okay, bet. Don't touch my truck. >> you've been in my truck. >> Have a good night, sir. Yeah. All right. Hello, is this Ms. Sherita? Yes. Hey, this is Sergeant Bradley with Dunwoody police. All right. Hey, um I'm I'm not sure where your apartment faces. We made contact with this gentleman out here. Mhm. And we arrested him for loitering and prowling since he could not give us a reason that he was here on the property. We did not tell him that you called. We just said that we received a few phone calls from residents stating that someone was banging on a door and you know, kind of things like that. I I don't know the situation between you guys. How how serious is this issue? This is really serious. I mean, we got a divorce and but I haven't seen him in over a year, but um he's like blocked, but he's like finding ways to reach out to the family and I was trying my best to not have him find out where I live. I have no clue how he found out where I lived or how he even got in the gate. Well, I mean, getting in the gate is is not too hard to follow another car in, but yeah. How how he found you would be uh something I mean, there's no telling. I mean, you can go to online places and pay money and they'll they'll search they'll search open records databases. So, possible as well. I mean, I'm not trying to get into your business. I have a reason that I'm kind of asking these questions. Has there been any violent past between y'all? Yeah, I mean, that's what's kind of like the that was the icing on the cake, which is why I left him. Um and like since I've been here, I've been wanting to file a restraining order, but he hasn't you know, known where I live, so I haven't done it, but now I'm just like I I wish I would have done that. Not saying that it would have changed anything cuz he's really unstable. Um but yeah, it's definitely been a past of a lot like 5 years we were married. It's just been a lot, so. Was there ever a history of violence, like physical violence or threats of any type of violence? Yes. Um. Um, I and I also have like videos and stuff on my phone and there was also a time we both lived in Maryland before I moved here um where I called the police and then he made up a whole story and like tried to put it on me. It was a lot. But then I forgave him again and it just it was like a cycle. So, I finally left this time and moved on and he doesn't like the fact that I moved on and Um, so Yeah. Has there ever been any type of police reports uh made here in Georgia or the city? There hasn't been any in Georgia. It's been in Maryland. Okay. Was anyone have either of you uh been arrested in reference to domestic violence between each other? No, not arrested. >> Neither of you? No, neither one of Okay. Um, has he ever threatened you in any way? Yes. Um. Are you able to tell talk about it right now? Yes. Um, I know like a few months ago he called me blocked cuz like I said he's blocked, but he would block his number to try to contact me and he would say like if I move on then he would hurt the person that I move on with and also kill me. I I think I actually have that still recorded on a device. Okay. >> have videos as well of you know, when I the last time we did live together and the things he were was saying and doing and he's always drinking and stuff like it's just a lot, so. Yeah. Like Again, again, I'm not I'm not trying to get in your business and and push you for things. From what I this short encounter that I just had with this gentleman, I think this is a very serious situation out here with him. With with what you've described, him tracking you down, he should you know, and and I want you know, I just want to give you the information that you need and and uh let you know how serious it is that I really think you need to go get a protective order against him. I would try to do that as soon as possible. This charge that we have on him is a city misdemeanor. It's only going to hold him for a short amount of time. I have seen some things out here that concern me a lot with what the situation is. Um, when was the last time that he made a threat towards you? You said it was on the phone. It was a a a voicemail he left you? Um, no. It was a He Okay, so he he actually had that called probably maybe a week or two, but he would still find a way to call me, my mom. One minute he would like say something to my mom like I can't believe like he allowed her to go through with the divorce and then he'll send stuff like a day or two later like I miss her, how can I get her back? But maybe I would say two, three months ago is when he actually made the threat and he was making them so much like he said it more than once, which is why I pulled out my laptop and kind of started recording him and I actually have him saying that he was going to like kill me. And I know you said I mean that's that's that's definitely something to take serious, but he was saying it I can't even defend that, but yeah, he said that. That's what he said. Okay. And he called you from a blocked number? He has to Yeah, because he's blocked from my phone, so he can't contact me. The most he does like he sends emails. I have tons of emails in my email and then like I said I have videos from the day we started being together because it it's kind of been rough the whole 5 years, which is why I finally found the strength to like leave, move and not tell him anything. Are any of those emails since you've lived here in Georgia or in the city of Dunwoody? They've been since he's been blocked, that's that was the only way cuz I didn't know how to like block the email. So, he's been emailing emailing me, but the emails are not really threats. The emails are him begging you know, to be with me and So, the only the only threats that you have that the the recorded is the one from a blocked number? The Oh, yeah. So, the threat I recorded on my laptop and it doesn't show a number. It just shows me on the phone talking to him and him saying the stuff. Does he ever identify himself? No. It's been so much. Also, when I left so that information, but when I left um like I said it's a year. It's been almost a year now. He killed my dog, our dog that we had. Like he killed the dog and he admitted that on the phone as well. How did he kill the dog? I have no clue, but he called me after to tell me that she was gone and I think it was out of his anger of me leaving too. Um, and he said that he killed it just out of anger. Do you know if he owns any firearms? Yes, he does. How many? I don't think he owns He doesn't have like it's not registered, but um I know at least two. Uh what kinds? One is like a big shotgun and then the other one is like a handgun that I started to see when I was like starting to you know, work my way out of the house. It was like new to me. I don't know if uh you know, what other steps that you would want to take to protect yourself. Um, I don't know how you feel about firearms or your mother because when we got him out of the truck out here, um it appears that he had a firearm real close to where he was sitting and uh I think he put it down when when we came up here. Um, he smells like he's been drinking tonight. He was uncooperative with us. So, it doesn't it doesn't take much imagination to figure out he's up he's up to some serious no good over here. This is also very important. I'm like pregnant and I don't know if he found that out too. Yeah, I I don't know, but I mean he you don't come over here at 2:00 in the morning to someone you know, you know, just just to say hi. So, um I just want you I'm not trying to scare you, but I want you guys to to understand the the the seriousness of his actions. Now, the unfortunate part is and the reason I was asking some of the questions I'm asking is to see if there's any possible way I can charge him with something more serious to keep him in custody longer. You know, if he's a convicted felon, then being that I can see a firearm in plain sight from where he was just at, then we're going to charge him with that tonight, but I I won't know that here for a minute. I'm going to have to run his criminal history. I'll try to keep you updated. I don't want to keep calling you all throughout the night. Okay. Thank you so much for your help and thanks for not telling him [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] What was that? I got some clubs clubs over here. Wow. Dunwoody police. Hey, how are you doing? Hey. We If it's okay, can we talk to you and your fiance, too? What's up, man? Hey, how's it going? She needs to be Sorry to wake you up again. Yeah. So, you and I spoke on the phone just a little bit um and this is uh Sergeant Foreman and Officer Moses. So, to to charge him with what we need to charge him with, we need to be able to list you in the report um to charge him with the stalking and other charges that that are going to hold him in jail longer than a city ordinance ticket. So, um we can put your name in the report like I said in the supplemental section. Um, so it won't be on the initial face sheet of the police report, but if we don't have you listed on the report, we have no way to charge him with serious charges. Like I said, I'm not trying to scare you when I tell you this, but you had a handgun in the shotgun all in the car. He drove down from Maryland, is that correct? So, he lives in Atlanta now? And I think that if we if we charge him with stalking, that's going to start the process that you guys can get the the protective order that that needs that needs to be in place. Protective order is just a piece of paper, but if he comes out here and violates it, that again gives us a more serious charge aggravated stalking. Um. So I don't know how long he'll be in jail on on the warrants that we're going to hopefully try to get for him tonight or tomorrow. But if we don't get some sort of state charge out of this tonight, he's just going to have a a city ordinance ticket and he'll be out within what, 24 to 48 hours. Hopefully with the state charges we can hold him long enough for you guys to get that protective order and he can be served while he's still on jail. Yeah, and if he if he does, you know, come back out here banging on your door if it's some if this door knocks and it's not someone you expect, don't go walking up into it looking at looking out the door. Yeah, yeah, I mean those things those doors aren't bulletproof. Okay, so cool. You all need anything give us a call. 367. Good luck to you. He was charged with stalking, driving while his license was suspended, criminal attempt to commit a felony, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, and possession of less than 1 oz of marijuana. He was then transported to the DeKalb County Jail for booking.
