on November 29th 2024 Flagler County sheriff's deputies responded to a shoplifting incident at a Target in Palm Coast Florida a mother her 17-year-old daughter and the grandmother were observed stealing wine cosmetics and other items [Music] when deputies arrived target employees had already detained the teenage girl as she attempted to leave the store with a backpack full of stolen [Music] goods meanwhile the mother and grandmother had successfully walked out out with their stolen [Music] items how's it going hey what's up Taylor welcome hello what's going on can't speak all of a okay this is where she's at yeah so her parents tell you want to bre yeah so this young lady had this stuff inside of that green bag and a backpack over here okay she just decided to walk out I stopped her esort her back here more information reveal she's with Mom and Grandma here okay Mom and Grandma did not see me bringing her from points of sale through here okay so they're completely out of the loop on that um Ona camera the Mom is putting stuff in her bag SL backpack as well I don't know if she walked out with it or not when we escorted her back here that's where our Focus went so um it looks like the mom is potentially walking around looking for her who's obviously detained here okay so how old are you that's alcohol I don't drink that my parents do I don't drink that I don't drink that I don't even drink anything but you put it in your backpack my grandma my my Mom first and then my my Mom first and then my grandma did they both put that in they put it in your backpack yes H I just don't drink this this is my mom and my dad and like but my grandma doesn't really drink it a lot of alcohol she doesn't drink a lot there's some suspicion that there's some resale okay so where's Mom and Grandma at now so Grandma's outside with presumably more stolen merchandise at the vehicle I think she has the car keys to the vehicle you have the car keys notify mom either it's pretty awesome that was our first thing so that's mom mom walked out with the cart and Mom's right here okay this is Grandma right here backpack or did she put it in her backpack no I think Mom and Grandma yeah Mom and Grandma both put it in that backpack in that backpack and then Mom put it in in her purse there I'm assuming mom has some kind of record because why are you I'm confused hold on I'm confused so she's got the backpack with her this young lady yep okay Mom and Grandma were putting stuff in this young lady's backpack correct did Mom or Grandma put anything in their belongings that they didn't pay for it yes we believe so that's what we're confirming right now okay trying to figure out the specifics so when I confront mom that was my question too yeah multiple items concealed in multiple different bags and Mom still wandering the store yeah I believe so I haven't seen her come in she's wearing all black any way we can try to find like roughly where she's at there's you have the car keys you have the KE there's no way she's going to get into the car without I have the car CH again where's the car park I have no good memory but I don't remember it's probably somewhere is you go on and you had the bag that had all the wine in it but I didn't know that they have all wine or something there I didn't know that I don't I don't see what she is was in in a because I was in the bathroom so you're saying she put everything in the bag I just want I put my granddaughter one bottle what she that's it nothing else and I don't have a car so how did all the other bottles get in your grand granddaughter's bag you see in it because I was in the bathroom you see in a screen I was in the bathroom I don't see what they they doing there because my stomach is 10% all the time 10 15 minutes I have to go to bathroom the cancer and I didn't know where she do it there that was she told just she push the car and I followed her and she told me we have um money in a wallet in the car that's what she told me wait we took uh V because I give V uh my key from the car mhm and I don't have anything and I I said wait I don't see anything what they put in in a in a back because I was not question about that yeah both the grandmother and her daughter were arrested I didn't take anything except the backpack that was on your back when you walked out of the store forget about that turn around put your hands behind your back there's a video of you walking out with the backpack on your back with a bunch of bottles of wine in it just only one no just only one B uh one only one stealing you can take them all your guys bags all right both the mother and grandmother were arrested while the 17-year-old was released to her father right watch your head getting in the mother and grandmother were charged with shoplifting petted theft and contributing to the delinquency of a child they were transported to the sheriff Perry Hall inmate detention facility and later released after posting a $650 Bond during the ride to jail they pleaded with the deputy to let them go sh is it any way we can you can forgive the first time that I can forgive the first time yes sure I forgive you but it's not up to me Target wants to press charges for shoplifting it's not it's not up to me what's happening with us right now uh you're under arrest we're going to the jail we're at the jail now you're under arrest for [Music] shoplifting can [Music] we do what can we reimburse you know the target for um for whatever damage you said no you're you're trespassed from Target so you can't go back to Target no understand through the through you not through me no no I understand maybe someone else can uh can come to um you know to pay for the what whatever damage whatever I mean that's that's up backpack on your back in the bathroom I was in the bath no no I was bathroom before as soon as I come to store I was in the bathroom I know when you Elena walked out you went to the bathroom again and you had the backpack and then you walked out of the store with the backpack on your back because I didn't see it and you think because I was concentrated in a toilet not not in a restroom not only what they have in a backpack but my point is you had things concealed in your backpack and you walked out without paying for them I didn't know it was in a backpack because I never touch but I put in a back I never knew was there okay that's what's happened okay and she told me and she put car and I didn't touch her the um uh car and she told me go to go to together to I pick up there and we go back to pay what she told me because I don't care about wine I don't care about anything I have the cancer I don't care nothing maybe I I live couple months maybe a couple years who knows what I care
