driving strangely and thought the driver might be drunk the officer stopped the car to check on the driver the driver accidentally put the car in reverse and hit the police car and some other cars parked on the road Say [Applause] by my car just backed up into my squad and two other cars Adam Nora young 6808 Adam Nora Young 808 Gilman Goram and pikney turn off the car it's off are you guys injured at all we're not I'm soorry it was in park I literally don't know why it was doing that we have the emergency break on I don't know we had it in park cuz we saw you coming over we pulled it in park and it was rolling backwards he can vouch okay you just hit a bunch of cars and us we didn't hit any cars yeah you're crashed into a car right now we literally didn't hit you all you hit my car too [ __ ] you're not going to be a able to get out I mean I am going to be able to get out no you you will I'm just saying I don't think he'll be able to get out so I'm going to have you stay in right now okay so no one's injured we're no no no no one's injured we're not we're not trying to cause any problem I live right up here we we live around the corner I understand I just have to make sure you guys aren't injured because you were okay ma' you guys did get an accident okay do you have your driver's license on you so the reason why I initially stopped you is you came up to this intersection here and you did a big turn around and you went facing the wrong way towards me we were we were just trying to do a U-turn we doing a U-turn to get up here that was literally all we were trying to do we just went to par okay oh sorry that's my wrong I'm sorry you said I do I'm sorry I'm nervous yep we'll switch there the officer then asked for the driver's license to check their details but the driver accidentally handed over a debit card instead this mistake along with the smell of alcohol made the officer think the driver was probably intoxicated I'm going to try to figure a way to get everyone out safely I don't know how bad it is on that side but you're not going to be able to get out I mean I'm pretty sure we will be able to get out honestly if you'll let us I'm pretty sure we can drive away from this will probably be the best thing CU either that's not that's not going to happen well how is it going to be any better if they tow me away I'm going to have to get away from this car eventually no I'm just going to have you guys step out of the car just because I don't know if this car is safe going tow this car over us hitting their mirror you're going to tow this car over a sitting their mirror I'm talking about you exiting the vehic so what I'm asking though is no no no no I'm see being serious I'm allowed to ask a cop a question about what we're doing so am I driving this car away as of right now you're not I'm still talking to you so you can talk to me what you're saying is that you want me to get out of the car and not drive my car away what I would like to do is be able to drive my car away so I can get to work in the morning because if you take my car I will not be able to get she's getting pretty verbal just so you know so I'm pretty sure your back tire is also damaged okay great so can I can take take care of that myself and you just like get far away from there people park it wherever the I would rather not have you pay for it cuz I'm not going to be able to afford that I can already not no I'm sorry I'm freaking out I cannot afford this I can't afford the ticket I'm about to get I cannot afford any of this reason I hit their car is cuz I panicked because lights were on and no I'm freaking out I understand the driver started to worry about the damage and what would happen next they were afraid of getting a ticket they couldn't afford and were also worried about how they would get to work the next day if their car was towed the officer stayed calm explaining they needed to make sure everything was safe before anyone could leave it but I want to try so I want to get my car away from here because I'm pretty sure that their car is going to be fine if I can just get the away from here get to my place you can do whatever want I need to be able to get to work in the morning do not tow my car okay right now so much work for me right now I'm not even talking I can't do this I'm already freaking I'm trying not to I'm freaking out I cannot I take I cannot do this a I need you to take a breath aora I need you to a everything is tearing me down I can't do this I cannot afford okay so I just have to make sure you're safe or can you listen to me I'm fine I understand that but right now we're standing in the middle of the road we are still 10 to the driver is becoming very very irate but it's all verbal at agitated arguing with the officers and refusing to comply with their instructions in her frustration and confusion she began to resist physically this behavior is likely to result in a resisting arrest charge for [Music] Aurora for what we another resistance are you go deploy give me your hand put your back behind you back ma'am you have any injuries asking I I am a title my own my own friend saying she wasn't trying to cause trouble and insisted that she wasn't an animal that needed to be restrained despite her protests due to her continuous resistance the officers had to use a spit hood and leg restraints for everyone's safety Aurora felt this was unfair and continued to argue pleading with the officers to see that she was not a [Music] threat who has the el el stength and I will be caled well that's not the case right now you guys and nobody's trying to hurt you I'm trying to get you guys to let me go guys I'm not an animal I don't I'm not going to hurt you guys look at me 130 lb you guys you can deal with a little Le scrap look what you've done to me who's going to pay for the [ __ ] you did to me not critical [ __ ] I'm going to get in more trouble but standing up for myself and stay on in space as things intensified Aurora managed to remove the spit hood and kicked an officer this act of aggression was serious and would likely lead to another charge of battery Aurora was upset shouting about how she was being treated and insisting she was defending herself we got four squads here someone's got are you good on this yeah I'm getting now take a couple deep breaths calm down okay shut the up okay don't tell me to take a you de passw you're violating me like this don't worry about your body camer right now I'll gra it don't don't I'm asking you I'm in the himself as officer Shaw and attempted to start over with Aurora and her companion he asked for their cooperation to move to a different police vehicle due to jurisdiction issues you're criminalizing me for I told you not to do it I told you not to I told you to knck me hands and arms up I you not on my life you criminalized me what the I asked you not you're supposed to be here for me you're supposed to protect us you assho what I did was me [ __ ] you try to protect the people you you're not here for the people you have a paycheck just like everybody else take me out let's see if he'll get get you in some of our handcuffs to do that are you going to cooperate as we do that I will cooperate I just I I want I want the I want the best so here's what's going to best possible so we're going to do that process first once we get you into that vehicle I'm going to explain the next steps as to what happens now okay but I want I want some cooperation so that we can move you over to that vehicle so that we don't have to have any more tusslin I'm not going to I'm not going to fight because I am very tired okay I am too okay why don't you step on out of the vehicle yes sir go and separate your feet a little bit more widen your stance so we're going to put you in more handcuffs okay thank you we're going to walk you over to a different vehicle okay thank you guys for let us us your squad we appreciate it Aurora still upset but slightly calmer agreed to cooperate officer Shore explained that they needed to get her out of the handcuffs temporarily to switch them to another set for the transfer the reason you're in handcuffs right now is because when uh we attempt to detain the driver of the vehicle you stepped out of the car in what I would interpret as a combative manner I understand you're probably just trying to I understand you're probably just trying to protect your friend but as I understand it you were not complying with orders from the other officers and that resulted in you being tased okay that's the reason that you're in okay because they gave you lawful orders ass I don't think they I honestly don't think they did give me specific Direction despite these efforts Aurora was still very distressed worrying about the consequences of the incident and the potential charges and insisting that she had been treated unfairly she argued that she hadn't been tested for drugs or alcohol and that her arrest was unjustified the situation was fraught with tension misunderstandings and heightened emotions oh what the take my car to it take anything let me go I'm not a threat to anyone I'm mad let me sit on the C please please let me set on the cve please let me during this process they tried to ensure that everything would be handled correctly resisting arrest and when I was asked for why I was arrested in the first place I was told us for driving Under the Influence nobody checked me for driving under the inflence nobody did anything to me no one Read Me My Rights no one did anything to me all you did was put some cffs on me throw me to the ground TI my feet put me in the back of your I'm not on drugs or an alcohol so fine watch me for 20 minutes have you been drinking two it also will be for the charges that you're booked in on again it's ow first offense and resisting causing injury how long do I still if I was with the legal limit of testing so still have probable cause to arrest you for ow turning our attention to another impactful case and the events that shaped his Fate on August 3 2023 in Sarasota something unusual happened to a woman named Christy while she was shopping officers had been looking for her because she was caught doing something wrong the day before when they found her they started talking to her about what happened the conversation began lightly with the officers asking how she was christe seemed a bit upset and asked what was going on the officers told her about the charges from the previous day at Whole Foods Christy was surprised and said she didn't steal anything however the officers mentioned they had video evidence of her stealing hey Christie how are you I've been better okay ask what's going on yeah you got some charges from yesterday from where from Whole Foods Whole Foods yeah what did I do well you stole something again I didn't steal anything well you got you on camera sorry okay well what was it I don't know you tell me I don't know I am all I know is that I was pardoned Adrian W Robert Al gray that's all I know about that t Daniel I I mean I was trying to write leaz on Danny right yeah you were also at the scat station this morning too you know Tres that's true I just saw I'm going I'm trespass from the entire city sir and I don't even know why well it's cuz you caused too many issues I talk to anyone I really don't to talk to anybody do I how do you I don't I just have to eat that's the only thing I've ever been in trouble for stealing and I I don't I I you will what for Ste I'm tired of this man well I have to eat right but you just said you had food stamps there's plenty of services available you just did you just mentioned it Christy couldn't believe it and mentioned that that she thought she had been pardoned by Adrien Robert gray but the officers were talking about something else they had also seen her at a bus station that morning where she wasn't supposed to be because she had been banned before for causing trouble how long were you in jail the other day they were had two weeks I just don't understand why I'm going to jail for eating well again you can't steal I have United Nations I mean I'm going FR in there I'm a really really really dinky kind of chick you know what I mean you look healthy to me it doesn't mean I'm strong right services I don't need Services I mean I thought I was doing okay you don't as they talked more christe explained that she often gets into trouble because she needs to eat and that's why she steals the officers suggested there were other ways to get food like food stamps and other services but Christie said she didn't have food stamps they also noticed she had a new backpack and questioned where it came from which she claimed she bought it where'd you get this backpack it's brand new no it's not brand new I got it yesterday so technically it's brand new where did you get it that's not that was still got the paper and everything where did you buy this from demon Marcus that's a high-end place your your home is going to be 2020 Main Street I I don't want to go to jail again I thought it ter good Robert I don't need any or help anybody you loaded up somewhere where did these come from um um Market New Market you sure you paid for that too didn't you but you don't have money to buy food okay the situation got a bit heated as christe became less Cooperative she didn't want the officers to search her but they needed to make sure she didn't have anything illegal christe kept saying she didn't understand why she was going to jail just for trying to eat anything sharp on you [Music] please don't touch me stop I got to start you don't have to go in my yes I do you in the end the officers had to take Christy away because of her actions they talked about what they needed to do next and took her to their car [Music] entering the Gil in the video all right we're going to go to that door there dis no it's all over my hands can I can I use some of that doesn't come feels like sad Christy was really upset and didn't want any more help from anyone she just didn't understand why things were happening the way they were the day ended with Christy facing the consequences of her actions and that wraps up our cases as we saw things can quickly spiral out of
