on September 28th 2022 a dville police officer responded to a call of shoplifting in progress at King Maxim Nail Supply in dorville Georgia arriving at the scene the officer observed a man and a woman standing outside the store the woman visibly shaken and out of breath claimed the male employee had accosted her accusing her of stealing and tearing her bag the employee on the other hand remained calm and asserted he had the entire incident captured on camera accus using her of attempting to steal nail polish the person the he he hit me in his sto he P me in that store thank you I had polishes out my nail T you said and I stole it he C me in that store and he ripped my part I got videos of everything they kidnapped me in that store they won't let me go I have video he won't let me go can you speak to her after that I'll show her the video all that is to let me go you should he wouldn't let me go I don't have anything let me see your driver's license I don't have anything I need an amm where's your driver's license 325 can you do a 1027 by l d well if I'm what happened it was all good why you have to do that i o was was all good then you you to pull out on me and stuff and kidnapped me lock me in that all right so right so you told me your side of the story what's going on with you all right so I call her on the video that she was stealing my polishes M and the expensive bottles she said for like maybe 10 15 bottles no you're lying and then she start then she dumped it all out no I already had polishes in the bkom and you he he C at me in the store all right I told you I heard your side of the story and as she tried to punch me I doed no I didn't and she keep pulling her back and eventually I this is all I got so much thing happen you grabbing on me I have everything video you want so just take a look as the officer attempted to detain the woman for questioning she began to resist vehemently denying any wrongdoing he grabbing on me set your purse down huh set your purse down for what how you cuz you're going to be detained until we figure everything out excuse me put your purse down he need to be detained no you're getting detained for what I just told you put your purse down put your phone in the purse I'm calling the police this is the police get your supervisor because I Ain I have one coming okay that's fine put your phone in first I'm calling my mom outstanding sing warrant a supervisor arrived shortly after and assisted in placing the woman under arrest we got a warrant anyway turn for what you got a warrant turn around I'll tell you in a minute out you're not under arrest so calm down I'd rather be under arrest right now her story began to unravel as she first claimed to have accidentally placed the Polish in her bag then later citing memory problems to explain the incident because okay let's get your side of the story okay no my side of the story is I accidentally put it's a car in a what call he told me he need to check my purse I gave him the purse I gave him the polishes that I surve correct let's go get that are you good I'm going to go look at the surveillance yeah it's it's showing that I put accidentally put it in my purse and I gave it back and he went and when I gave it back he start h to me and they locked me in that store then it has to be something wrong with him locking me in the store he locked me in the store okay so usually just usually when if if they think you're stealing something they they can I know but I know but listen how do you accidentally put something in I had two things in my I had two things in my head I had the so where's your where's your purse right here okay where is it it's on the floor it's a $2,000 purse that he ripped he grabbed my purse the officer has it okay he said let him see my this just the fact that officer I had two things in my part I've suffer from memory loss I can say that I accidentally I didn't leave the store with nothing I accidentally put it in my purse I already had I've already cuz I'm way our shop is our shop I don't like really touching things so I sometimes get memory loss where I stick things in my purse he asked to see my purse he when I asked when he seen them in my purse I took him out and I was like oh I'm sorry I forgot like I had two I had the buggy in my hand and I had I had the bugy in my hand and I had my purse they both big I didn't try to steal anything I'm sorry if I Spit on no you didn't I I wasn't trying to steal anything when he asked for what he asked for I said s we was having a conversation so I wasn't if I'm if I'm a thief I'm not going to sit there and talk he walked up to me said I need to check your purse I let him check that when I took him out my purse I walked out the store he told me I couldn't leave and I said that's kidnapping they both locked me in the door well [Music] basically 104 go ahead and confirm please so normally normally if they think you're stealing something they can they can lock that door put their hands on me okay that's and and where but if listen if it's there's no there's no written rule like if you go to QT and you steal stuff they're not going to engage with you but if you go to here one of these stores they have every right to engage to get their property back they didn't have I didn't have anything when he looked in my purse he didn't did you give it back he didn't see anything on me he put He he abused me he he shouldn't have did that to me it was simple it wasn't it wasn't a big deal I was sitting here shopping with him and he going to say it was 15 I was 15 when just threw some in the basket and then I keep pulling her first back to to try to see everything in the bag but she just keep pulling the bag away so I couldn't see with that footage cuz there's a way we can do things uh we can upload it so I can attach this video to your Cas for it so you can do that for me I can do that yeah I could I could record off my phone and then send it to you okay what did she do to you I think this is this came from scratches scratched you uh it was pulling on her bag back and forth and eventually she scratched me okay this Shing Before Bruising and a little bit of trying to run from him he tried to stop her she ended up snatching her purse out of his hand and then scratched him and hit his the top of his hand and his knuckles I told her uh let me look at first I'll take everything out and then she's free to go but she want AR say she didn't do it so I I her go I try to close the door and then we just keep p on the bag what do she want it for uh I'm not in her purse well she yeah she was just grabbing it one by one I don't know how many she put in the back I don't know if she have any in the basket already but she was just I'll just add in everything that was in the basket and she passed the point in sale so she dropped the basket right here but I've got to go look inside her purse to see if there's any nail polish left in there she was like grabbing out dumping the basket blindly I just want to make sure that she didn't have anything left before she left and you guys are shut shut the door it was like going back and forth through had the door she passed the point of she just tried to punch me yeah and she passed the point with the items I'm not sure you have to check it back double check it all right we might have to get it SE polish how many you got to add property right how many roughly 20 okay it's got a 20 times a certain amount think up add up to 50 okay 15 at at 16 each that's all just do it like that okay so it be transported to the deob county Jail uh I didn't you nothing on me I know but she's got to search you anyway okay you don't want to put nothing in the jail so what is you're just going to go for shoplifting I'm just going to go for and then you got that warrant out of out of County Sheriff's or Marshall's office for embezzl that I have no listen with that we have no idea what that is okay so
