On January 23rd, 2024, the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from Firestone Tire and Service in Port Charlotte, Florida, regarding a customer whose check had bounced. The customer had failed to pay for the work completed, including a $20 bank fee. Got this guy. He wrote me up a bad check. We did some work for him. He's got this invoice and uh we got the copy of his insufficient check fund. We tried to for weeks get it straight with him for weeks. And uh uh the problem is the main problem is is he don't want to pay the insufficient check fee. There is a fee for me getting a bad check. Most people won't and uh we we want to charge him $20 for that. It's just the way it is. And uh he don't want he ain't doing a he's been saying he's going to send me a money order for two weeks. You have his phone number his information by chance? I do have his phone number and race cars and uh like I said he his bill was 25814 and um wrote us a check and for 25821 I don't know why it's our Yeah. and and it bounced back for insufficient bonds and uh I got a hold of him and he says uh it's our fault, the bank's fault, not his fault and he'll send us a money order after we argued with him and and uh he said he sent us a money order. Money order never came and that's how that's going. Now, do you want me to try and contact him and see if he can come here and take care of it now or do you want to like pursue criminal char? What do you want to do? Yeah, let's see if you can come down here and just pay it out. I mean, The total 258 is 27814. That's what he owes me. That's what we can tell, right? Engage 360. Is that you guys? No. If there is of a crime that it would be for the original amount. Um I know that store policy you can tack on. That's fine. Um but what he'd be required to pay back for you know, right? It's it's like someone took an item. It's like Yeah. Yeah. Well, now it's like plus interest cuz I lost. You know what I mean? We get charged a fee for that. We were charged by the bank for that, right? But let me give him a call and just see if he wants to take care of this. I mean, it's $20 either which way. I mean, we're not stressing it. It's the It's the principle at this point, right? But the main thing is go this far, but is to just get the work done for the Yeah. Okay. It's just ridiculous to sit here and argue with us, right? I got you. Let me give this guy a call real quick. Okay. The deputy returned to his vehicle and called the customer in an attempt to resolve the issue before taking further action. Hello. Hey, David. How's it going? Hey, good. Good. How are you? Good. This is Deputy Chandler with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. Ma'am, how you doing? Good. So, we got an issue here at the Firestone. All right. With this check, um certified dryer. Yeah. What's that? Certified dryer, you mean? Yeah, the Yeah, certified tire. It's a fire stone. Okay. Um, so they did some work to your car and your check bounced. So, um, just before this goes any further, I'm just calling you to ask if you want to do the right thing and take care of it because I'm here as long as Okay. Well, I could give him a bank check. Okay. Well, he needs a form of payment. Otherwise, this could be potentially be a crime. Well, we need to what? You received services from this dealership and you haven't paid them. So, he's willing to work with you, but you need to come down here and take care of your bill like right now. I offered him to and he wouldn't be told no. Well, he's saying yes. So, if you're going to come down here, then you need to come down here and take care of this right now. Oh, okay. I got to go to the bank and get a money bang money order. Okay. How long is that going to take? You're going to be there? Yeah, I'm I'm here. here. I'm going to start investigating a criminal offense if you know this isn't taken care of. He's called that's what he's called me to do. So that's what I'm going to do. I'll come down with a with a bank money order. I offered that and he said no. Okay. Do you know the I'll give him cash. I don't care. Come on. Do you know the amount? How much is 158? I don't have it. 15821 or something like that. Yeah, I know the amount. No, it's over $250. Huh? It's over $250. The receipt, he's got it already printed here. And the check that you wrote that bounced. That's all here. So, okay. So, if I bring him a bank money order or cash, is he going to be there to take it? Yeah. If you could bring cash, I'm sure you would he'd be willing to take that. So, um, hold on. Can I see that order real quick again? How much the bill was? 258.21. Yeah, but he's got that charge on there. 25821. Unless you have that charge that where it bounc one more time on your name. Okay. Well, you need to bring this gentleman his funds because that's what I'm here for is what I'm getting at. So, I'll come down there. I got to get to the bank. Okay. My go get the funds. It'll be about probably 20 minutes. Okay. Cuz Okay. Cuz he's giving you to that time to take care of it. Otherwise, we're going to He's going to want to press charges. So, what does that mean? What do you mean? What does that mean? Press charges. You You received services from a business and you didn't pay for it cuz there's no funds that went through. So, that's what that's what we mean. I can show you text messages where I sent him, but I come down and pay it. He just runs me around the You stay right there. I'll be there in about 15 20 minutes. Okay. Yeah, they got everything here. Your check, your name, and you on camera. So, yeah. I want I need a receipt paid in full, too, Charlie. Matt. Yeah, he'll give you a receipt. I'm sure. Okay. All right. Make sure I'm going to give you the money and you take it to him. I'm not You You can I'm not touching taking your money and being a part of your transaction. Just hand the gentleman this money. He'll give you a receipt and you'll be done with this. You won't have criminal charges as he's just told me. So, Okay. Yep. All right. 20 minutes. I'll be here. Yeah. All right. Got one. Let's go. All right. So, yeah, I talked to him. He says 20 minutes. He'll be here. Take care of this. I was like, "Okay, money order," which is money from the bank or cash. So, it's what he's going to bring. Um, I can't enforce the the $20 from you guys. That's a civil matter between you two. He's not taking care of it, is it? I don't know. I told him you said you you they saying that you owe them that. It's part of the the fee or whatever. So, um, but for services what was needed to be paid, then that's what it needed to be paid. But I can't, um, all you can do is tell them pretty much at that point. Yeah. Just It's kind of weird how how you charge us tax onto his bill. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. No, I got you. That doesn't make sense, right? Um, some some places don't do checks just for this this reason, you know. You know what? We're starting to really weed them out cuz this is not the first time this has ever happened. Fortunately, we got it taken care of before it got to this point. This guy just was uh Yeah. My goal is to get you your money because even if you go forward and he doesn't have money or he spends it all or some crap, then it's like, "Okay, that's great. Now he's in jail, you still don't have any money." Yeah, I know. Right. Right. So, we're trying to give him the opportunity to do the right thing. Fix it. Yeah, that's right. That's what I like to try and do so he's aware and all that. And we just had a conversation. and he says about 20 minutes from here. So, all right. I'll be hanging out until he gets there. Make sure he he arrives. Okay. All right. Yep. Thank you. You got it. True to his word, 25 minutes later, an elderly man arrived, struggling to walk, and asked the deputy if the employee could come outside to accept the payment. How do you leave? Yep. I I can't walk very well. Would you ask him to come out? What's that? I can't walk. I have to have a walker. You have a walker? Yeah. Can you come out? I'll give you my money to give me Yeah, we can we can see him from that. All right. Okay. All right. Thank you. [Music] He's here out there. He uh he can't walk very well. Do you mind going out there and just so we can Huh? The employee came out, received the cash, and went inside to fetch a receipt. He's probably going to ask you for a receipt and all that stuff, too, which Yeah. How much? 27814. receipt. Yep. Yep. One minute. Thank you. Yeah. I'll hang out till he gets his receipt, then I'll I'll take out of here. While waiting, the elderly man casually mentioned to the deputy that there were issues with the business and he was an investigator with the Department of Justice. According to the man, the bounced check was part of an undercover investigation. So, what kind of business do you have? It's uh transportation, taxi. Okay. Everything. All right. I service a lot of the airport. All actually all of them. All the way from Miami up. Jeez, that's a lot of driving. It is a lot of driving. This baby's got 27,000 miles on it. 27,000? Yeah. Still runs like a new car. Yeah. Take care of them. They do. Takes me a minute. What do you got? I uh there's some things going on with these guys. I'm an investigator with Platinum Justice. Okay. This was pretty much done on purpose. Okay. He's got two or three places. Couple one one over the other and a couple other towns. And who do you work for? Department of Justice. Do you have any ID and credentials? do your task. Yeah, just curious. Okay. Do you have your ID with you as well? You're not allowed to carry it. That's it. You're not allowed to carry an ID? Nope. Just my regular. Oh, you want my personal ID? Yeah, sure. Oh, I can show you my driver's license. Yeah, if you got it. I hope so. Please don't say anything to him. Okay, that's me. And how long you been working for them? 51 years, man. 51 years, man. Huh? All right. And you don't carry ID. And you're not allowed to carry an not allowed to carry paper ID. Okay. We'll have a finish conversation when he leaves. Yeah. You gave me 300, David. There's Huh? Can I change back there? You gave me 300. Yeah. All right. Thank you. Sorry I had to go to this way. I didn't expect it to be like that. Your dad's probably turning over in his grave. So yeah, he's looking at you wondering why you're doing that. No, he is. You don't know who you're dealing with, David. All right, guys. Texting me all that. Thank you, buddy. What? Anyways, yeah. So, I'm not I'm not familiar. Department of what now? And justice. Department of Justice. All right. I've been all over the world, man. Okay. I got the Max. And what is I've never seen that badge before. Can I see that again? No. It's very cool. I've had that badge since n uh two 1978. Wow. Can I see that again? See how nice? Yeah, that was pretty cool. Now, is this law enforcement? No. Department of Justice. Oh, okay. I was just curious. See the world up here? Oh, wow. That's gold. Oh, okay. What? Uh, kind of pretty, isn't it? I've never heard of it before. You've never heard of the Department of Justice? Come on, man. You Now not as a What? Uh, who do they fall underneath? I guess I Who do they fall underneath? Federal government, Department of Justice. Oh, very interesting. I done a lot of work for the Department of Defense, too. Oh, okay. And you're still active with them, huh? You're still active with them? May 8th, I'm going to be done. Oh, very cool. I can't show you. I got pants on. Oh, okay. Old ship. Oh, okay. I got you. But, uh, it was a great job. It's done a great job. Yeah. Work when I want them. I'm at the death call. It's a lot. I got you. All right. I know. You're from Sarasota, right? Charlotte. Oh, you're Charlotte? Yeah. I know a few of the guys up in Sarasota. Oh, okay. Who do you know up here? Or up there? Who do you know up there? Uh John, I don't know. It's in my paperwork. Oh, I got you. I have to keep paperwork on there. Okay. Yeah, I got you. Oh, yeah. If you wouldn't mind, just hold tight. I'm going to update this call and I'll come chat with you for a second. Then you Okay. Yeah. The deputy grew increasingly suspicious and decided to investigate further. After informing his supervisor of the situation, he returned to the elderly man to ask if he had a supervisor he reports to. And that's when the story took an even stranger turn. Thing got passed in pretty bad, didn't it? What's that? His car. Yeah. Yeah. So, I'm curious. um the the Department of Justice. Now, they gave you a badge, but they don't give you an ID. You can't carry it. I go to foreign countries. If you take it to a foreign country, the ID is back to you, right? But they don't allow you to carry an ID, but they gave you the badge and your current law enforcement. That's That's strange. Do you have a you have a supervisor that you report to? Yeah. Unless it's a case of emergency. I'm not supposed to give his name out. You're not supposed to what now? Give out his name unless a case of emergency. All he's going to do, he's he's going to Yeah. Hey, I hate to tell you, but it's an emergency. Huh? It's an emergency. That one. Uh, let me show you. Why are you saying that? I don't I don't know if you're aware, but if you present a badge and say you're law enforcement and you're not, that's a that's a felony. I don't I don't use it. Only when I leave this country. I just wanted to show you a little bit of the information. Right. But you presented it to me and told me you're law enforcement, but you don't have an ID. That is it. I'm a federal Yeah. Federal law enforcement, right? Okay. Yeah. So, like FBI. No. Uh I don't want to get in trouble. Oh, let me hit Let me see if it's What's that? I'm going to Paraguay. To what's that? I'm going to Paradise March 25th. Okay. I operate out of the country very seldom. Yeah. I was asked to do this because these these guys are reported to be bringing drugs into the country. Okay. We know that they're going down there four to five days a week. Okay. Did you have your ID with you again? I'm sorry. Your regular driver's license. I don't think you're going to find find out too much because they won't they don't give much. They're not going to relinquish that much information. No, they won't. All right. But I don't know what I don't know what can I do to make you understand that I'm not a patient. Yeah, that's what I was just asking some questions and stuff like that for just so I could have a better understand cuz like I said, I've I've never really had that many actions. I've worked with federal law enforcement before. I used to work for DoD as a military police officer. Department of Defense. Yeah. This is Department of Justice. Yeah, I got you. A big difference. Yeah. Right. All right. Gotcha. All right. That's all that [ __ ] equipment here. I know it's a lot. The central copy, White Mountain, Florida. What I do is I pick up um military people want to go to the airport. Gotcha. Hey, um we're in this predicament. I'm just going to read you this real quick. Okay. I read it. All right. I'm going to read you anyways. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions and have him or her with you during questioning. If you can't afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to you before any questioning if you wish. I know this is silly. If you decide to answer any questions without a lawyer present, you still have the right to stop answering at any time. Still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to a lawyer. I just have to get that out of the way when we have a conversation like this. That's fine. Yeah. I know the route I have on my house. Did you have your supervisor's number? I can't give it to you. I can't do it. They won't let me if I do. All right. Northport knows who I am. Northport PD. Yeah. They know who your supervisor is. I have their Who do you know in Northport that would be able to verify who you are? Morales. The chief. Yes. Assistant. Assistant chief. Uh also, um I have their phone number to them. So if I have a problem, I can call them. Oh, what's that phone number? As the conversation continued, the man admitted to carrying a firearm. For safety, the deputy confiscated the gun. You don't have any guns in the car or nothing like that, do you? Of course. You armed? Oh, yeah. All right. Here. Okay, that's fine. Leave it there. All right. Uh, real quick, I'll let you get that phone number, but we're going to just change things up. I need you to shut the car off real quick. Okay. Cuz you're detained right now. Too long. I got a pickup. Okay. Yeah, that's all right. Here, shut your car off for me. All right. Just do me a favor. Shut your car off. All right. Where's your firearm at? It's right there. In the inside of your shirt. It's in the shoulder holes. Right here. Underneath. Don't reach for it. Don't reach for it. No, it's right there. Okay. Yeah. Okay. 225 Central. Send me a supervisor, please. All right. Are you able to unbuckle or anything like that? What? Are you able to step out? No. You can't step out? I can't stand very well. Okay. All right. Here's what I want you to do. Okay. Um, you're you're carrying a firearm? Yeah. Um, unlicensed. Okay, that's fine. I'm going to remove it from you temporarily. Huh? I'm going to remove it from you temporarily because of the way things are. All right. What I want you to do is place your hands over that direction. I'm going to take it off of you. Okay. Don't reach for it. Don't reach for it. Don't unbutton. Don't unbutton. I'm gonna take care of it for you. Just keep your hands over there. Put them on the dash for me. All right. I'm gonna take it off of you. Okay. All right. You just keep looking straight ahead. All right. Any other guns on you? Anything like that? All right. Mhm. You can just keep your hands over there. I'm just going to loaded. There's no one in the chamber. I got you. No guns in the car. No. All right. Car is off. All right. Just go ahead and face me and just we'll have a conversation here. Okay. I don't know if I can. I'm sorry, buddy. You just hang tight right there. All right. Huh? We're good. I just just hang tight right there. The man then gave a phone number claiming the Northport Police Department could confirm his identity. On your way. No problem. Here's the North Here's the Northport direct assistance phone number right there. Oh, okay. And so if I have any problems, they'll assist me. Okay. And who who am I going to talk to on here that's going to be able to confirm who you are? Chris Morales, I guess. Chris Morales. Yeah. Okay. I happen to know him just because I know. Okay. But I just think that's a little strange that number two in command is the only person that know who you are. You get what I'm saying? Does that sound right? Yeah, it does. Okay. I've been after 51 years of me, buddy. All right. Well, I just I've got a lot of law enforcement friends and family and this isn't quite normal. What you'd say? Keep that wheel. Oh, okay. Yeah. 1474. How do I know which police officer name? Welcome to Verizon Wireless. Your call is this 7474. Here, you read me that number. 941. Yeah. 429. Yep. 7474. All right. Let's see who picks up. All right. Hi, this is uh Deputy Chandler here. Um I'm currently investigating a a crime. This is kind of pecular that I get called to you guys. Um, I don't know if this can be accomplished, but this individual is claiming to be a uh federal entity of law enforcement, and the only person that is able to justify whether or not he is or not is your guys' number two in command. So, um, I don't know if I'd be able to speak to Chief uh Morales or not, but if there is a possibility, um, if he's available, that would be good. If not, I completely understand. What department did you say you're with? I'm with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. I'm sorry. Oh, that's okay. Yeah. All right. Um, well, let me uh place you on a brief real quick. Okay. Thanks. I appreciate it. Not a call you get every day. You're welcome. Thanks. For just hanging out here with the subject. I'm on standby with Northport PD dispatch. Yeah, I'm still here. Okay. So, does does he know that you're calling or not? He does not. Um, and again, I know this is strange, but um if it's possible would just so I can say that I check this box. I know it's a request, but you think that they live here? Um, so this individual is saying that one of the only people that can justify who this um our subject here is is Chief Morales. So, um, before I go further with investigating this pretty serious felony, I'd like to check the box at least that I reached out. If he does or doesn't know, he can let us know, but I understand if he can't accept the call at the moment. Yeah. Okay. Uh, so what's the address of that person then? Do you have it? his address. Yeah. Hold on one second. What's your address, sir? Transfer over to Sarasota County. Oh, no. I was just seeing if I could get in contact with Chief Morales. Again, I know that's not normal because this individual has some ties or knowledge with him apparently and that he has knowledge of this individual being a federal law enforcement entity. So, okay. Yeah. Give me one second. What I'm going to do so you guys can fine. Yeah. you guys know. Yeah, I appreciate it. Thanks. All righty. I'll give you one second. What's your phone number? Uh, all righty. Yeah, I'll go ahead. Um, I'll have you give me a phone call. Thank you. You're welcome. Byebye. All right. So, this where we're at, huh? I said this is where we're at. Um, you're claiming to be law enforcement, not law enforcement. Okay. Now, you change your story. department. No, Department of Justice. I told you that. Yeah, but you also said law enforcement. I have it on recording here. And you said, "Yeah, but so that's strange." And then you don't have an ID and I'm not allowed to talk to any of your supervisors or anyone that's able to confirm your identification. What are they going to do? Secret agent. So, what are we doing here? What are we doing here? Yeah. Right now, you're detained for a crime. What crime? Impersonating law enforcement until I can figure out otherwise. So that's not normal out of my years of experience and being around law enforcement that you can't carry an identification card. What do I do about it? Yeah, but if you left the country, say that was true, and you left the country, you just leave your ID at home. You're in the States. I can't take it with me either. I can't take it with me. I can't take nothing with me. Like I'm going to Paraguay the 25th. Okay. I can't take no form of American identification. That doesn't make any sense. I'm just being I'm just I'm I'm that doesn't make any sense. I'm just being honest with you. That makes that makes no sense. I'm just being honest with you. You just work for Department of Justice as a whole. But what entity of Department of Justice or what law enforcement group of Department of Justice? What I do is I go to different countries and I mediate uh let's say there's going to be an uprising or a coup or something like that. I mediate try to mediate that and bring it down to a lower level. That's what my my job is. Okay. And you said you're actively investigating this place for a crime, right? I'm not. You just said a minute ago you're investigating something. I'm not investigating. I am giving information back. So I'm don't do the investigation. That's my supervisor. And your supervisor is not able to be reached by phone. It's that secretive that he can't even talk to me. He He won't. No, he won't because it ID is them. You can't give his name. Can you give his name out either? Yeah, he gave you a name out Elliot. That's all he is. Oh, just Elliot. Okay. That's all I know him. But that's all you know him as? Okay. Man, you're going to make me late from this call. You know where I am. You know where I left. Is there any problem? Come that come get me. See me. Yeah, that may be. But we're going to hang tight. And who gave you that badge? The Department of Justice. Yeah. How long ago was that badge given to you? 1968. 1968. I worked for a long time for a while. Okay. Is Chris going to call you back? What's that? Was Chris going to call you back? Yeah. Someone in Northport was going to see if we can arrange me speaking with him to verify or if they could verify for me. But our agency is reaching out to D OJ. That's probably him right there. Oh, somebody. When the supervisor arrived on the scene, he asked for identification and contact details for the suspect's supervisor or any phone number to verify his credentials. The suspect, however, repeated the same story, insisting he couldn't provide such confidential information. Meanwhile, Northport Police Department called back. Hey, so what where do you work for under the Department of Justice? I never know who I'm going to be working for. Okay. The last guy I worked for Who's your supervisor right now? Huh? Who's your supervisor right now? His name is Elliot. Elliot. I can't I don't know his last name. Can't give it out. NASA's last name. Elliot Ness. He said he can't give it out. He can't give it out. Okay. Super secretive. All right. Do you have his phone number? That's I never contact them. They contact me. Yes. Very secretive. Yeah. Okay. All right. What was the last investigation you conduct? You don't have to give me any names. Hey, Lindsay. How's it going, man? I'm sorry about you. I don't know the investigation. All right. So, I'm just checking the box on this one, brother. Um, this guy is claiming to be federal law enforcement entity working for Department of Justice and one of the only few people that can confirm this is um, y'all's number two. Um, I personally believe and as you were thinking that's a bunch of crap, but I didn't know if it was possible that we could just ask if he knows this guy and we can just um, get this squashed cuz he's in some pretty deep trouble right now. So, um, it's weeks like today. Okay, that's what William Edward Edward King justice on. All right, hold on one second. Right here. Okay, get this. This is saying that I have full arrest powers. Yeah, it's saying I have full arrest powers and I have the ability to get carry. Okay, things going on. That's given to me by my boss. All right. Do you have anything like that from you from your boss? Checking the box on. They won't they won't give us stuff. Okay. Um David common spelling and then middle now this bag. Um no uh sure let me see it. Yeah. Can I take it out of the case? Yeah it a long time. Wait, it's got drop number on the back. No, they don't have Hey guy. No, this is what's what we're doing right now. This is what we're listening to. Okay. So, right now, you're being detained. You understand that? I don't understand why. Okay. Because you're you're you're all good there, brother. I'm not going to not going to do all that. So, not all right. Okay. All right. Appreciate it. State law enforcement officer doesn't work for a job. So who do you work for? The Department of Justice. That's all. You know what? Can can you tell me the different areas of the Department of Justice? Investigations. Okay. What else? That's all I do. Okay. So like what agency within the Department of Justice? Well, it's mostly foreign stuff like foreign stuff like office of what? I'm scheduled to go to Paraguay the 25th of March. I'm scheduled to go to Paraguay the 25th of March. Okay. For who? Department of Justice. Okay. All right. That's not how the Department of Justice works. Oh, yeah. That's like him being in the army saying, "Well, I work for the Department of Defense, but he works for the Army." So, what agency under the Department of Justice do you work for? Pretty much all of them. Pick one. Give me one. Give me two uh just because in case you get lucky. Give me two areas of the Department of Justice. Coron uh foreign investigations. Nope. We have a different name for that. Why you guys busting my balls? I'm not doing anything wrong except for lying and a a felony right now. So until proven otherwise. So and this is we're investigating a felony. I'm just letting you know. So, knowing that you're that what you're claiming to be a federal agent, okay, is being investigated for a felony, I would be calling up my supervisor right now. Yeah. What's your supervisor's number? And I can call. I'm not allowed. Okay. Will he accept calls from jail? All right. I guess you guys got to do what you got to do. Yeah. I We're Yeah, I'm I'm there. So, we try to get a hold of Chris Morales. He knows what we're Okay. Um, I just hang out here for a second. Yeah. Can I just stand up for a second? You may certainly stand up. Yeah. The supervisor made several calls to various agencies and contacts in an effort to verify the suspect's identity. I thought something strange. Hey, this is gay. So he says he works for Justice what what agency was it? And he says the four and what? All of them at first. Yes, he works for all of them. Yeah, but mostly foreign investigations. Investigation department of the DOJ, but he has no no ID. He's carrying a weapon. Right. Exactly. Okay. I I don't know to be honest. I don't even know how we ran into this guy. I've been running running ragged all day. Um but um but yeah, he he says cuz I got um the images right. We had uh cuz I had I don't know if you know Wokei, he works with the um Yeah. So he's ask Yeah. He's asking those guys down there and they're like, "No, it looks uh" I think the the term they used was fake as [ __ ] So So exactly that bag is worthless. Yeah. Right. And on the back of it, it just says bags. There's no number on the back of the of the bags at all. No serial number, just a word that says bags. All righty. Very good. Yeah. I mean you you being a leazison you think because you said give me your supervisors and the phone number. I don't have it. Well, if you're a leaison, you contact people for a living. That's your job, right? That's what most lison do is call people, pass on information or whatever from one entity to another entity or a goeteen or something. So, he can't even do that. So, uh what's his first name? What's your first name? What was your first name? David. David. Born in 44. I think you guys retire people earlier than that, too. I know. I know. I do. I do. Probably see if they have a database or an email address. Okay. Right. All right. Yeah. But he done had a retired card. Yeah. He's still saying he is. Yeah. He's still saying he's working. So he's saying he's going to Paraguay next month for a dog ring or something. So, all right. All right. Very good. Cool. All right. Thank you, sir. I appreciate it. Yeah. I'll get on the phone right now with him. All right. Bye-bye. Hey, are you still in the office? Oh, cuz I was wondering if you could see if he's on like an email group or something for DOJ. Okay. All right. Yeah, cuz I called up Strange, too, and Strange is like, "Yeah, I've never heard of these people either." But I didn't know that they left the, you know, he's part of Border Patrol, so they they they're DHS for years. But and the back of the bags doesn't have any numbers or anything. There's no number on the back. There's no black numbers on the back. So, but all right. Yeah, I think we're going to go with the uh Mhm. No, no. I'm like, "Dude, you're on the verge of being arrested. You're being investigated for a felony. Do you understand this?" He goes, I'm like, "You're not going to give me any any supervisor's phone numbers." He goes, "I I I can't contact him." I'm like, "You couldn't even contact?" I'm a you're a leaison officer. If you're saying you're a lelayison officer, that's what you do. You leaise. You contact people, you know. I'm like, well, I hope they accept calls from jail. So, all right. Cool. Thank you, sir. All right. Bye. Well, our contacts with the FBI say the term was fake as [ __ ] Oh, yeah. So, do you investigate So, you investigate foreign domestic things? Both. Yeah. Okay. And what do you They tell Here's what happens. They tell me maybe a cell phone call or something like that. that these guys are suspicious of doing this, this, and this. Well, you you just go in and play the game. Do what you have to do to find out any information you get. And then uh I feed back the information and I'm out. I got you. Now, where did you where did you start off at? Like you didn't start off as that obviously. Were you just a regular agent at first? Not really. No. Yeah. You know who Manuel Lauriego was? Yeah. Guess who brought him back to the United States and let him Oh, boy. I'm going to take a wild guess. Uh, Granada. And was he under your custody at that point? Oh, yeah. Yeah. We turned him over CIA. Did you end up Did you end up charging him for the time being? I did not. No. This was all not totally legal, but that's the way the government wanted to do things back then. He was turned over to CIA in Miami, right? But you had him in your custody and like took him in and in Miami under sedation. Yeah. And you've been so ever since even when you were a first agent that time you've you've been doing the same stuff and then you've progressed more doing that type of stuff, taking people custody and then I can't do the physical stuff anymore. Okay. But you have been Oh, yeah. And you're still you're still though just as much as you were then as far as aging. Well, it's back. It's laid back a lot more now because I can't do the physical stuff. I was very physical, right? Granada number. Yeah, but you got to But all the things that you were allowed to do then besides the like putting hands on people, right? You still wouldn't be able to do that's that would be not allowed. That's for the guys that are a lot Granada. I went in there with another another guy and a [ __ ] uh name of Morris Jacobs who uh the army their army uh chief at that time and uh we went in there and Ronald Reagan told us to his exact words I want to see his [ __ ] pictures. Oh man. So you guys get a lot of bad guys then. Yeah. I got to prove it, buddy. Yeah. Uh, all right. I was just curious. So, Oh, it's I'm not bullshitting you guy. I don't have to do that. I don't Where did my case go to that? It's right up here. I got it. Okay. That came with a case, but that thing's a lot really old. All right. Been with me a long time. What's that number down here? Let me see. ID. Wait a minute. Let me see. That's my ID. Okay. My date of birth should go anywhere. What is he trying to do anyway? He's making a phone call. In a final attempt to prove the deputies wrong, the elderly man called the Northport Police Department himself to verify his law enforcement credentials, but as expected, he was unsuccessful. Hello. Yeah, he's getting a phone call. He was trying to speak to Chief Morales. Yeah, I tried calling too. We can't find I know the statue grab extra something here real quick. Yes. And as well as that's another I'm trying to Okay. All right. No. Only one. I hate you. Huh? I hate you. No, I got something to tell you after this wraps up. Yeah, if you could. Yeah, I did. Okay. Make sure you call me back. Get wherever he needs to. You know what I mean? Right. All right, David. Turn off your car, please. What? Turn off your car, please. Is your car running? I can't hear. No, it's off. His car is off. Oh, your car is off. Yeah, step on up. Yeah. Step on out real quick. Can you walk or do you need your walker? I'm sorry. Do you need your walker or do you normally use your walker? I usually use my walker. Can I get it for you? Yeah. What's going on? So, we need to stand up and talk about this out here. Okay. Over here real quick. All right. So, you're getting placed under arrest for impersonating law enforcement officer. Okay. It's a felony. And I'm also going to charge you with carrying a a firearm in the commission of a felony. Okay. Yeah. We we've looked into all that. Um I I've been around long enough work with federal entities that we're not we're not buying it. Just long story short, okay. Not going to be good tomorrow. All right. My our supervisor knows. Everybody our intelligence unit knows. The uh the federal agents already know. We're already talking to federal agents about this. So, they already know. So, it's going to be no surprise. Okay. Like I said, if you give us a a supervisor, we will gladly call. He's looking now. He's trying to find one. Who's that? The police officer. Just call me PD. PD. We didn't I wait a minute. I'm going to I'm going to search him here. Just hang tight right there. No other weapons other than that pistol, right? Okay. What's this? Is this a That's a band that I already moved the firearm out of. Okay. All right. We'll leave that right there. Walk over here. You got to give me my phone, right? Yeah. We're going to get Just cuz you're going to We're going to continue to act like I'm going to continue. Mr. Chandler's going to I don't know if I can get in here. I've got you. I'm just supporting you. Okay, there you go. Good. Okay. Very good. Very good. Okay. Oh, this is so tight. Despite his claims, the man was arrested on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer in possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was transported to the Charlotte County Jail, still insisting he was legitimate. Okay. All right. You're older and you got some health concerns. So, I'm going to handcuff you in the front. Okay. Put your hands in the front of you. Can I have my phone so I can call my girl my girl and have her come get me? Not right now. At the jail, you can do put your hands in front of you. After all the work, I That's twisted. Can you turn it? What's that? I'd want to turn it around so my hands like that won't twist my arm. In mine, all you do is stick a pin in it. Yeah. Here, twist it to how you want it and then I'm going to tighten it. I can't I can't turn my wrist around. It's too big. Just take it off for a minute. There we go. There. There you go. All right.
