teachers are one of the most respected professionals but what happens when they let their evil side take over I comfortable however you can you don't have to spin around if you can't officers were dispatched to arrest a 39-year-old Gym trainer who had been accused of molestation sorry bage can it be in front of me Can it can the hand be in front of me we'll see but usually no we we'll I'll do outstanding warrant you should for your arrest it's out of Lake County okay so your beef is not with us okay I understand sergeant house and you have a relationship okay we want to maintain professionalism and respect okay but we still have a job to do okay so what we're going to do is we're going to get you secured we're going to confirm the warrant okay we will provide all the information with you okay and we will be like I said cordial respectful and mindful okay if you feel like you're going to pass out or things are going to become too overwhelming for you you need to relay that to me okay because your well-being at the end of the day is still a priority I will make sure that we get you evaluated so nothing uh escalates from there okay but if you take a look everyone else here is being chill okay so we're not saying you are what I'm what makes me concerned was your reaction okay I don't want you to have a panic attack okay that's what I don't want because stress is very very powerful I don't want to see that happen do you understand yes sir okay the male had a warrant out of Lake County on multiple counts of LW and lascivious molestation on victims aged 12 to 15 years old you said you got his phone yeah is there a passcode or anything to your phone all eight all eights that huh come be 100% honest with you one of the directives we got was to collect your phone so I have to seize your phone for evidence allow to let you open it so what's going to happen is they're going to get a search point this isn't our case so I I don't know what's going to happen this is Lake County all we got was a they contacted us and said hey we want you to go and and find this guy and since I knew you I'm like I would rather it be me than somebody else because I don't know how somebody else is going to treat you okay so so so what's what's happening is there's a warrant somebody somebody in Lake County or Claremont I forget who it is has probable cause for charges okay they've got a $30,000 bond so that means you got to go see a bondman you're going have to pay that bondsman 10% of that 30,000 what is that what's what $3,000 to a bondsman these aren't my charges I have no idea what the what the details are yeah they were just they they called us and said hey we would like you to go and pick come up so okay I can't ask me whatever question you want call my attorney not right now but whenever cuz we got to take you to the Orange County Jail cuz we can't go to Lake County Orange County we got to take you to the Orange County jail so I got to get a bom one from Orange count so here's here's the tricky part once you get there you're going to be putting a big room full of telephones make all of your phone calls then I don't know the numbers I'll get you we'll get you a piece of paper with all the number any number you want we'll get you a piece of paper okay okay what if my attorney say would not all use my phone what do you mean like to get my phone so here's what's going to happen your attorney can't tell us not to seize your phone if they if they feel like if so I don't know the case so I'm just giving you very general information here okay if the detective or the the police officer whoever got this warrant if they can show to a judge that they have probable cause that there is evidence on your phone of a crime either this one or or another one whatever then they can petition that judge for a search warrant if that judge grants a search warrant then they can go through your phone and your attorney can't stop them because they'll be given a search warrant by the by a judge okay I'm just taking my your phone for their D Direction I'm not going through your phone I'm not going to look at your phone the only thing we might do is we'll open it up and get the phone numbers that you want okay you'll be you'll be in view to see what we're how we're manipulating your phone to see what we're getting and everything on hour is being audio okay so if if they don't have probable cause to go through your phone then you'll get your phone back and and that'll be the end of it but again I don't know any details I'm just giving you general information on how it us usually works the mail looked worried when he found out that his phone would be seized as evidence but the officers assured him that they couldn't investigate it unless the court issued a warrant you get to a point if if this is confirmed cuz it happens where so brother I know okay so sometimes sometimes it's not confirmed if they can't pull that warrant out and have it in their hand then we walk away you go home so there's a process they they physically have to go into a room find that exact warrant and hold it in their hand for the confirmation and if if we get a call back that they have it I'll let you call your wife and you can you can let her know what's going on and then we'll have to put these on and and the lady's going to take you okay let's you want to grab his phone so we can start working on phone numbers just in the event that uh it's [Applause] confirmed what's your say we can do it from my phone that way we don't know everything else can be coordinated okay and they're going there right now uh no ma'am we're we're still we're still confirming some details okay this is likely going to be the potential outcome um so we're just trying to extend every courtesy we can once once some information gets confirmed he'll get trans right directly to the uh so you can see what I'm doing I just I just put it if you have any other questions Sergeant house will be until 6 p.m. only to reach him he'll he'll reach you so he'll have to go through a whole uhing you don't know process at the jail and at one point there's a whole wall of phones he'll be allowed to make um phone calls at that point and we're writing down all the numbers that he's requested right now which will go with him and he'll be able to they decide it I'm just letting you know there's a possibility that you might have to stay there till Monday or Tuesday until you go to Lake County I don't know their schedule I don't know how it works I just know that it sometimes the way that the jails work they'll allow you to get uh bonded out from the arresting County because these this is two counties this warrant was issued in Lake County we're arresting you in Orange County we can't take you to Lake County we can only take you to Orange County so if they're going to extradite then they'll transport you to Lake County and you'll get bonded out there okay know if this is one of those cases or not the vast majority of time you just get bonded out in in Orange County the best thing to do is have Kelly call in about 3 hours it's a long booking process okay I got to call my school which school Orange County like uh uh they got to call the school board Kelly can handle that you don't need to worry about that right now okay will I get a chance to talk to her to Kelly whenever you get to the jail you're going to have unlimited access to phones you can just start making phone calls yeah that mean be long distance phone number is long distance yeah it's it'll you can call you can call numbers they they can let you can call whoever you want it's the only number I know she's uh this officer put um put uh the other phone mail was charged with one count of possessing images and videos of children being sexually exploited one count of production of child sexual abuse images and videos and one count of enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity he later entered a plea deal and pleaded guilty to all the charges in this next case an elementary school teacher was arrested in Oklahoma after he showed up to if there's nothing on board sometimes well if people hide a really good one on the night before it can carry over into the next day so what do I do as far as what you said it can carry into today it can sure can I mean if people get on like a weekl long Bender or if they really tie a good one on the night before you know the alcohol could still be on board but I can't give you any legal advice to take it or not to take it I can do is offer it to you and it's your right to refuse it but again I'll say this is if you're saying you're not under the influence of alcohol this is your opportunity to prove your employer you're not I mean no today I hav't had anything but like I admitted to you last night yes but if you had one glass of wine last night and and you didn't have anything else after that one glass of wine isn't going to carry over into the next day no I mean I went to sleep okay all right so you want to take this sure good the female claimed that she only had a glass of wine the night before but still agreed to do the breathalyzer test okay what's going to happen is when this thing tells me it's time to blow I'm going to have you reach over with your mouth and blow into that as hard as you can until I tell you to stop big deep breath blow hard keep going keep going keep going keep going keep going keep going keep going good good for I don't even know what that 0.06 is that you are just under the legal limit so if you were to be out driving right now you would be charged with DWI driving while intoxicated under the legal limit just under it the legal limit is 08 which is DUI the from a 0 6 to 107 you can be charged with D I haven't had anything to drink today okay well I'm going to let Mr let me ask you this is there anybody that can come and pick you up here at school yes but I mean I don't hold on just AE the female blew a 0.066 on the breathalyzer which was just below the legal limit of 0.08 she continued claiming that she hadn't drank anything but it was clear that she was under the influence of alcohol okay see um let him talk to but I'm under the legal limit right so so under the legal limit just means that you're under the legal limit it shows that there is alcohol in your system so you are still technically intoxicated you're just under the legal limit of 08 like if you were to be out driving right now and you got pulled over and you did sfsts like you just did and did a breathalyzer you could still be charged for DWI not DUI but DWI okay does that make sense kind of okay yeah if I have somebody that can come pick me up that is going to be um we need to see what Mr Kenzie wants to do and then um major seven you can space those out the officer explained to the female that even though she might be under the legal limit there was alcohol in her system and therefore she might get charged it just makes me mad for somebody to say that I had stuff here I've never yeah and like ever and I know it's a small town yeah like major mlon was saying that we have we're not we're not privy to that information we just get a call and come do you know what I mean I would I did show Ware for years say that one more time I did show Ware for years I get it yeah but just for somebody to be like so vicious to say like I just don't get it know that's the right thing to do but it's also the the thing that will draw uh scrutiny and criticism from everybody the community because she's allowed to go home with someone else and not be arrested yeah I I think the the the thing we'll have to do there just to speak the school language here for a second with you is just she's not going to come back right she's going to give me a letter if we're going to do it that way so I'm I'm willing to to go that way or if she's not willing to give me a letter resignation and that's something you'll work out between with her but from a legal standpoint I'm going to go ahead and make the arrest okay okay all right so you're going to arrest her and take her from here again there's two ways now you can look view an arrest as she goes to jail or I could site and release on her own recognizance provided she's got somebody that's over to come come and take possession of her and so you're going to give her that option well no that's the decision I'm going to make before I walk back in that room okay the officers then decided to arrest the female and take her to jail what is happening okay Jennifer I'm going to be honest with you uh this is a portable breathalizer machine it reads a little lower than what the actual intoxilizer which we utilize at the police department reads lower this came up a 0 0.066 I have not had any that's what I'm saying I haven't had anything today okay I I will have my sister come get me I don't write the law and I and I will resign I will res that's something you're going to discuss with the the administration here but I've made my decision okay um it's zero tolerance okay I would just like to know who report like and I did not drink today well I'm going to tell you from a legal standpoint when people call in and report a crime of any crime we're not in the business of telling people who made the report I there reasons behind that I understand that okay so you're taking me to count mhm and it's going to be a municipal charge I'm not going to run it through the district court it'll be through the city to come through charge of public intoxication okay in terms of your employment here Jennifer we we can't move forward with you being a teacher here any longer okay if you want to resign that's your option um if you choose not to though I would be forced to go to the board and ask for your termination based on the outcome of today one of the representatives from the school informed the female that she had to hand in her resignation letter or they would request her termination from the school board the female was compliant and Cooperative during the whole situation can I be a like handcuffed out please I'm not going to run well I know that I know that but it is listen to me the police department operates under policies and procedures and I can't treat you any more different than anybody else or we're setting ourselves up for liability that's fine okay but now I'm not going to run you down the hallways and P you through my child is in the third grade hole where right the female was charged with public intoxication in a similar case another Elementary School teacher from Oklahoma was arrested for public in intoxication officers were dispatched to the elementary school after a call was made by one of the staff come on in here and have see a second okay I want to visit with you all righty so um just observing you in classroom it looks like something's off a little bit and so I've asked uh officer Dean to come in here and visit with it have you you know um have you taken anything that's you know do you have a prescription for anything that maybe you have taken today that just seems like you're not the same person that I talked to this morning um I did take a I I did take some medication last night to to help me with sleep cuz I have some anxiety stuff but that's that's I can't think of the name of it right now but I could look it up when I get home okay so you haven't taken anything while you were at school no okay um now one thing I would tell you you is um you know um for your employment I want you to be truthful and so um would you um be willing to take a breathalizer test if I needed to yeah have you taken any sort of medication today I'm sorry what have you taken any medication today I did take some medication this morning for my anxiety what did you take this morning um I think it's called um um Quin I'm not I'm not very good with did you take it here at school I took it yeah I took it this morning while you're were here yeah right before I came in yes okay is it a prescription cuz you changed your story a little bit now said was last night yeah well I took one last night and then I took one this morning because my anxiety was really like bad well that's understandable about this so what time did you take it this morning whenever you took it last when what time was that um I'm not really for sure where's it at in your car in your classroom no I had one I took it in my I put it in my pocket and then I took it you put it in your pocket yeah yeah cuz I didn't want to bring the whole bottle in you do know that if it's a narcotic you have to have it in the bottle right or you can be charged with it I did not know that yeah it's got to be in the prescription Model E the female seemed nervous and her testimony was changing one of the representatives from the school then asked her if she was doing okay so if there is anything that you need to tell please please tell me so that we can we can help you I mean I am having I I am having a hard time with some depression stuff and I I um did you drink something while you were here here at school not while I was at school when did you drink something last night okay not here at school because it seemed that it CH I mean your demeanor kind of changed anything here at school oh I I wouldn't bring it into the school okay are you going to blow double zeros I don't know you should know if you had drank anything you should blow zeros if you drank something recently it's going to show it we'll just find it you should now makes me think that you are not going to okay so what's going to happen I'm not going to do anything with you well I'm happens the officer was fairly certain that the female was drunk it was now time for the breathalyzer test all right so you're you're going to blow into it like you're blowing up a balloon okay and there's no way you drank last night well I did drink last night did you drink at school is what he's asking you tell us a TR I didn't drink at school that wouldn't blow that right there you blew two times the legal limit I did yeah here's our drink that you have what's in this drink that's a Diet Coke is there anything liquor in it nope so if I go into the classroom am I going to find anything else did you go to your vehicle drink if we go out and search your car no so where did the liquor come from did you leave campus not today the female blew a 0.24 on the preliminary breath test it was evident that she was drunk the officer then proceeded to ask her more questions this say is pretty accurate No I know it is I know it is he blew like a024 I don't know what that means legal limits 8 okay do you drink often unfortunately yes yes okay yeah I'm not trying to insult you I'm just trying to understand why no I I'm seeing a counselor I'm seeing a counselor about it so you haven't had anything to drink today not since well so 3:00 a.m. your expert opinion she's under the influence well I mean you want my honest opinion I think she's probably a functioning alcoholic would she blow that you could and be normal and like be and not drink today well no no cuz she's had to have drank sometime today like even it was 3:00 a.m. do you want to blow one more time on a different straw I want to to see if it changes no I want y'all to tell me what I have to do I just want you to be honest yeah I I'm seeing the counselor for my stuff so do you live here in town I live in I live in don't think I don't know how you could still be that hot the officer concluded that the female was intoxicated she was then informed that she would either get fired or would have to resign from her job I did drink a lot last night how much did you drink I don't too much what what do you drink wine so how many how many bottles of wine did you drink uh we had the Box did you drink a whole box of wine half a box and you stopped drinking at like 3 this morning John please come to the office the problem is is they said you were fine this morning and then now recently they've noticed a difference see and that's weird to me that's that's uh that that I was okay this morning I would think that it would be which makes me think that you you've drank recently I would I would think I could see like this morning but I couldn't see like so your options are we call somebody to pick you up you come visit me tomorrow two you get I won't even let you get your vehicle I'll just arrest you right now for Publican talks please don't do that then you should probably find a ride the officer advised the female to get a ride home or he would have to arrest her for public intoxication okay you got one minute tell me a number we're going to call or we're trying to let you at least have some dignity and not walk out of here in front of everybody so if you let us call somebody we'll wait they can come wait outside everybody's gone we'll tell them to be here at 4:30 and you'll be able to leave the building anybody see but if we're we don't have time to say we keep doing this no I I I understand I'm need to be sympathetic with you a little bit I just don't believe you right now I think you're lying to us the female was slurring and wasn't even able to form complete sentences even though she kept denying it the school School authorities were convinced that she had consumed alcohol on the premises drank on the way to work I I I'm glad that you told us that okay um we'll still discuss tomorrow I
