let's go I'm not going to you again on February 3rd 2024 a shocking incident unfolded at an intersection traffic light in Okala that spiraled out of a simple traffic misunderstand standing into a violent confrontation the central Figures were a 19-year-old girl and a 60-year-old woman whose day took an unexpected turn okay so let me get you let me get you EMS we'll check you out from here and then like you know you can go to the hospital Ian I've got lots of knots on my head okay uh can so what what happened well we were on our way coming home from best guy and I live out this way so obviously this way M the previous light 66 right the one over there right okay I was on you know there's two South I was on the outside oh it was so obviously I've got to get over so as soon as I came through the light there was a break traffic so I thought okay I'll just get over now right girl that assaulted me she's a young way behind me like four car Lings behind me not even close to right so I have my signal on because MH and I don't get override away that's not how I drive I I have incentive with my insurance not driving so I've stared to get over because she's way behind you yeah she doesn't want me to get over I'm already at this point I'm already half and half right so I see her in my mirror out of nowhere literally nowhere yeah at my tail end right here but I'm already you know halfway over so I don't stop that would be stupid I don't know if I can get back over or not because I'm everybody behind me is going to think I'm moving over so I can't just jump back in my Lane right cuz it was too short of a time span yeah so she almost hit me okay so 4 she passes gets in front of me gets in the turn lane I got in the turn lane because I wanted to get her her tag tag yeah not no other reason like I don't I wanted to get her tag but I was going straight at the next traffic light both cars pulled into the turn lane the older woman concerned by the aggressive driving decided to get the teenager's vehicle tag as a precaution the situation quickly deteriorated the teenager fueled by anger and perhaps entitlement began to physically assault the older woman she was nowhere near me okay I had ample time to get and not speeding or anything like that neither was she yeah until she didn't want me to get over okay then she sped okay and then she went around me cuz I obviously I finished getting over yeah and then she went around me and by then she's in front of me yeah so then she get when we get up here to where the turn lane starts she gets over into the turn lane and that's where I followed her because I'm next to the turn lane to go through the light yeah so I get over there to get her tag I want to get her tag and yeah you know way she's driving did you get out of the car did you step out of the car she came to me she came to you I got out of the car not expecting to get beat up right apparently at my age I'm not going to swing I could have hit her I could have hit her back right I sat there and took quite a few swings but I didn't hit her back because I told him to call his father so oh okay was he with you yes that's my son he's autistic oh okay I wouldn't do anything like that with him in the car anyway yeah especially with him in the car yeah did he get out and try to uh he got out but I didn't know he got out to the man in the white truck on next to me told him to get back in the car cuz he was holling at the other girl telling the other girl to stop mhm cuz everybody knew that she beat up on me like I wasn't I didn't go to her I didn't start swinging none of that okay I wasn't even calling her names well not until I took a few punches yeah then I started M them but not until then okay so the the people took a video they called 911 cuz I didn't call right so they took a video and I made him get back in the car and then I got I tried to get in the car and she me couple more times yeah before I got in where did he where did she hit you like in the face oh I've got you can feel about yeah the video captured the tail end of the conflict showing the teenager delivering several punches to the older woman who was visibly distressed and trying to retreat to her vehicle so so he don't need to know all that right now can you just I oh tell him the story after you9 25 95 anyway telling because I'm speaking to the officer I okay so and then she got back in in her vehicle and and left after that one she started realizing people were getting out of the car but and videoing her and then my son got out she still threw in a couple more punches because I told him I said don't you dare hit her she's not worth it don't you hit her cuz otherwise I'd have been hitting her right I'm not going to stand there and take a beating I mean I can swing I might be old but I can still swing okay but she's young and I'm not going to sit there s now if she' made my age maybe I might have fought back I don't know but she's to me she's like a child so I'm not going to sit here swing on a child was she like black or white oranic she's white but I'm I'm I'm thinking baby mix Hispanic but cuz my son is but she has dyed hair it's like bleach blonde it's not real it's kind of hard to tell her way she was talking okay so she went that way she went that way and you came you and um the lady that called 911 was in front of me the one that did the video so she came to my car and told me she was on the phone with 911 the light turned cuz the whole time the light was red yeah the light turned and she told me to follow her through the light cuz she has 911 on the phone yeah so was she able to send you that video did and she sent me the video cuz I hold her don't stay here who knows how long it's going to take they had kids in the car yeah you mind if I see that video okay so told her I said you know just give me everything you got your name and everything cuz they wanted me to have her name she wanted me to have her name that is a vehicle registered to you by chance yes okay I'll get i'll get your uh information out of the uh out of the vehicle well that's her that's her license that's her license yeah okay I had to zoom in because I wasn't anywhere near her car cuz she was way in front of me so she had to come way back to me okay I wasn't next I wasn't right behind her when all that happened okay I was farther back cuz I had no intention to get out of my car but also I have my son in the car so I don't know what to expect so let me get out whatever's going to happen let it happen away from him you know can you find that uh the video if you have one I just little shook up so they didn't start videoing until until okay the very end this is her but were the last punch uhuh no he hey hey hey hey hey don't don't y'all okay I'm not I'm not going to hit a child in my opinion at 60 to me that's a child honestly I I fig she could have been much over 18 you mind if I afford it to me no I don't mind the police informed by the witness and armed with the video evidence left to find the teenager at her home when confronted by the officers at her residence the teenager's demeanor was unrepentant she admitted to the altercation justifying her actions by claiming she was provoked however the evidence was irrefutable she was arrested and charged with battery against an elderly person you know why we're here you know right okay okay all right tell us what happened or ask you question I can tell you all right just get a second and I so since we got here uh I'm just going to read your right side uh you have the right to remain silent anything you said can and will be used guess you a court of law you have the right to talk to a lawyer and have them present what you been questioned if you cannot afford a lawyer one will be appointed to represent you before any question if you wish you can you can decide at any point to execute execute this rights and not answer any question or make any statement do you understand this each of this rights okay have not in mind do you want to talk to me okay so I'm over here at the light okay and the lady is cutting in front of me m and she has her blinker on but she's already like right here she's about to hit me so I start honking and she keeps cutting over so I sweing the other room and I throw a bottle at her car okay okay and then she starts like driving crazy like getting all on me and stuff so when I get at the light I stop for my car and park and I get out and then I walk to her and she walks to me and she's in my face so I push her back MH and then she gets back in my face so I hit her okay you knew that was not right right okay all so that being said pretty much you're going to have she won a first charges me or she want she want a first charges yes cuz she actually was taken to the hospital with concussion cuz you hear her so bad and then she was 60 little tiny Grandma yeah all right you want to turn around for me all right yall quiet neighborhood kin who is 19 years old was reported to the police for a serious family problem he had locked his grandmother in her bedroom and reportedly threatened her with a gun as the officer arrived at the scene kin attempted to dismiss the officer's Presence by stating everything was resolved and that police intervention was unnecessary hey y' we got it resolved we don't need no cops thank you no we need to talk hey what's going on need put you need to put that down right now come out here that is a dummy gun man I don't care what you want put your hands behind your back what is hesitant at first unclear about who had called the police the officer had to press for details with the initial call reporting someone being barricaded in a room and threatened with a weapon so who called us I know who called us must have been my son where is he he's in dealing with this okay well I need to know what's happening because the call was I don't know I was st stop just stop just stop get call was that he barricaded somebody in their room threatening them with weapons that's why I'm here he did yeah who who no I don't nobody who's Grandma grand grand you were barricaded so what happened that's the reason why I'm here none of this would have occurred if you wouldn't have had a gun if you wouldn't have been an [ __ ] coming to the door none of that understand that but he that's a fake gun for real and it's not a fake one it don't work it looks really real it's real but it don't work you know he could have got shot right that's what I told him stop playing G so what happened so what happened I got woke up to him screaming screaming at Grandma like all the time all the time and you was here yesterday no I was here the first time with yeah yeah okay he yesterday when I was at work like he's got a different personality not taking medicine either that's his other problem it was kin's grandmother who finally provided Clarity she described how kin had recently returned from jail and his behavior had become increasingly erratic according to her kin had not been taking his prescribed medication which had historically helped manage his mental health issues contributing to his unstable Behavior does he have his medicine here yes we just made him take it okay he should have took it I woke up and just so is it to calm him down or it's he's been on it for a very long time but for some reason he you know he ended up hurting her and so he got a domestic violence and then he was out on the street then he did this stuff they dropped those charges and then he got out like last Monday and then is he's like a different person the thing is is that I'm I must be like a helicopter grandma and now that he's been in prison for over a month and been there and just changed that now I I don't he's different and when I try to say stuff to him he gets angry and told him about that um uh I don't know he just tells me to shut up go in my room I don't want to see you the grandmother detailed the morning's events explaining that she had been awakened by kin screaming this was not new his aggressive outbursts had become more frequent since his release I don't want to like yeah he doesn't I him that woman's done so much for you stop I can't even take how he treats her and I tried so hard but he's such a big boy and I I don't want I go to jail I don't want that's not my problem that's my boyfriend I don't want him to touch are you okay did he hit you at all okay did he threaten you oh he would have got I would have how did it all start if I tell him anything like you better take your medicine you know when I come home and found out he did and then he says no shut up just shut up don't talk to me anymore yeah it's weird I think he out ofwhere look at me uh I'm not talking to you the rest of the night I'm getting tired of living in this godamn place I'm getting theing out here come slams the door and then he's out for a while and then he comes back this happened he comes back and he opens the door and slams it and he go a psychiatric hospital they need to find out what is wrong with him and try to see if they can control I told this judge I when he put his hands on I said he needs psychiatric help not jail a neighbor who had overheard the confrontation added to the account they had recorded kin threatening to kill everyone in the house a piece of evidence that underscored the severity of the threat he posed this recording provided the police with crucial evidence of the danger kin represented not just to his grandmother but to the entire household did you guys call yeah I did where's oh he s did you hear oh he threatened to kill everybody in the house and I got it on camera I didn't hear yeah my dad damn I'm okay do you live local there can you pull those cameras up she can okay might [Music] be if he want to call the police call and arrest yeah I heard all that I woke up playing with me damn it try me yeah he he was he was screaming I'll kill all of you fing lawyer I he he about not me in trouble by calling my lawyer before I get do you want to write a statement oh yeah I'll write a state whatever you want one second as kin was taken into custody his demeanor oscillated dramatically between aggressive Defiance and remorseful Clarity he ranted about suing the officers and made various threats but also issued apologies and expressed love toward his family so we threw down here calm down calm down C what to do go away go away go away I don't want to talk to you talk to mying lawyer you all right yeah I'm good he was in cuffs answer the door with a gun yeah damn straight it don't not even loaded and it's a dummy gun dumb ass maybe you should check the gun before you pull your gun out think about it cuz I'm pressing charges you're not going to see your family for New Year's or Christmas this year and I hope you know that I'm getting the chief of police and I'm pressing charges suing you for every saint you got ain't aing suspect [ __ ] I can hear everything you say on this goddamn radio I hope you could sleep at night knowing you threw a [ __ ] TOS autistic kid up against the [ __ ] car hope you have a merry [ __ ] Christmas I'm press the charges on Deacon [ __ ] Matthews and on that [ __ ] cop sitting right there watch me I'll take her other placees but you ain't taking her to see her son cuz I don't want to see the I don't [ __ ] love you anymore I Fu Hae you with every inch and fiber I have on my [ __ ] body Deacon [ __ ] you [ __ ] you I am no longer your [ __ ] grandson the family emphasized that kin's needs extended beyond the criminal justice system they advocated for psychiatric help rather than another jail term fearing that without proper treatment his cycles of aggressive behavior and incarceration would continue I'm sorry I'm just sick that's all I'm just very sick love you I love you too you need to calm down I know I if I came back inside I'd be okay I love you baby I love you too Mom I'm sorry man it's all right no it's not all right I guess I shouldn't answer but I just got out of jail a week ago and I'm sorry I'm autistic man I have myb depression I have anxiety I I passed out in here for maybe a couple minutes unconscious okay I turn my brain off I can manually turn and shut my brain off so I don't hurt nobody cuz I just got back from a domestic violence with one person I swore i' never hurt that's my mom I hurt my [ __ ] mom man I hurt my mom I got a domestic violence I was in log County Jail they out my fingerprints everything I got to go back to jail then take me to jail just take me to jail I about to say am I going to jail yeah okay you got to at this point you had a scrap and you answer the door with a gun that can't happen man I
