on August 27th 2024 the Flagler County Sheriff's Office was alerted by the St John's County Sheriff's Office about a blue 28 Ferrari 488 spider that had been stolen in Rhode Island days earlier during an armed home invasion the driver 19-year-old Jonathan Costa from Cranston Rhode Island fled from a traffic stop attempt and was now speeding through Flagler County Costa who was considered armed and dangerous was wanted by the Cranston Police Department flat tler County deputies quickly located the Ferrari as it crossed into their jurisdiction but Costa refused to stop racing at over 100 m per sped through a school zone deputies slowed down and lost sight of him respond Comm up there Patrol units supported by the realtime crime Center and a fire rescue helicopter searched the area detectives suspected Costa might be hiding at a friend's house in Palm Coast a bolo be on the lookout was issued for the area Chief David Williams spotted the stolen Ferrari behind a residence in Palm
