on December 14th 2022 the Los crusis Police Department received a report of a stolen white 2003 Chevy Blazer from a local neighborhood in Los Cruses New Mexico an elderly man had left his vehicle running to warm up but within minutes in the blink of an eye it was gone and there was two guy one in front in back they come this people here that excuse me but you know uh 21 people always go there 21 they come in and come out either there or that blue house over there okay you know and I always I'm always alert but this time you I just I just went right corner when I I turned I saw that gu took off my and it's white correct yeah it's white it's got like cream like those look in those rooms yeah but it's gray okay and it's got a Dan the back I came remember we yeah Meer your license place say it ngr I I don't know yeah okay just okay go look for that I'll get the rest of the information here what's your first name sir uh uras and the keys were left in it correct yeah I the windshield was was frozen yeah so I just I just went in y my wife let's go okay the car it gets it gets out got wa and what's your date of birth sir come on inside 5 five now got black C you said there's two males right away and it's a white Chevy Blazer correct he says it has a dent on the back where on the back bumper yeah but you cannot see it driving okay you see it's it's kind of on the side okay near the like back Fender area or Tire well yeah the fender is it's okay it's yeah it's B um and the rims on it you said they're gray rims they're like the aluminum right not the but it's gray okay um does it have any running boards no no okay uh lugra on top yeah lug um anything else any stickers any broken glass anything that would help it stand out a little more no no okay it's it's well you hard don't see s like that and it's the the smaller Blazers right not the big big ones but the front ends what would like the round what yeah it's is the smallest you not that big big one no no no it's small I go take my grandson to to school they literally just took it from under his nose but they came way over there like they were hiding or something okay what and um do you want to pursue charges in George Robert it's going to have the black luggage rack um stock on top a small dent on the rear passenger side Tire well keys were left in vehicle as he ran inside it was taken approximately 20 15 to 20 minutes prior from shortly after officers spotted the vehicle and performed a successful pit maneuver in a Plaza parking lot to stop it give me condition please if you can yes give me condition get between two cars that were pared so he pulls up behind him and then I just happen to see his unit so I pull up and he's boom right in W's unit so I get out and he has the dog and I'm like I was just waiting for him to come towards the get K's unit and then he B it so that's when I had my unit but I had this cuz I was trying to up where and as soon as I get behind him I see him right there and looks right at me kicks off a godam so I was like yeah we're going to be breaking off until we got AV of okay yeah I was behind him on Aven and then I saw him turn on W so I hit my lights off and then I just see him on W so I'm keeping an eye and I see see him turning on top a sale I see him flip a a a van I'm like no we can't it's going to keep going so on Wyatt bro I was on on Main cuz we had just broke off and then I saw him turn on Wyatt and I was coming up like past the intersection Main in Main in a msia when I saw him turn on Wyatt so as I get to that intersection W I see him just all over the road so I'm keeping an eye on him and at alha and and Wyatt I just see take the light like he was going to turn so it was red yeah but then he uh that's when he clipped that white truck that white van um it almost looked like he like he had T-boned it until when I got close I saw that the damage was on the back corner of the truck put yeah we had a red light one so that's when I reinitiated of was driving just got to check you out real quick how's it going man you hurt anyone no any medical attention yeah you going to be all right sounds good man all right brother nowhere arms legs everything feel good all right man good all right guys sir officers also spoke with a man whose van was struck during the chase so we you headed this way sir yes I was headed this way okay and what was the other guy okay so I was headed this way I was on my way to work and I see him it was like a white SUV or something like that he was coming pretty fast that's what yeah from this way from my uh he was coming PR back and that's what caught my attention so he there was another car right there where that one's at so he got in the left right hand lane and he made a left hand turn and when I see what he was doing I show to my right and then he hit me he went around my left this L this L here went for that way huh were in this Lane I was in this Lane he hit me and then next thing I know he went around this the two officers follow then there was a third I just p over and I was calling 911 but I couldn't get a hold we heard it on the radio right later officers discovered that several more Vehicles had been damaged during the chase if he hit any of the units or anything like that or um I want to say the Chevy Tahoe it almost looks like he had touched that one Bo behind him I was a female officer I remember off off you heard a box but it like angle might okay and so you said you you saw them you didn't see the crash itself but after that you saw that they were trying to box him in yeah it was pretty much there was a Ford behind him and then like was there a Tahoe in front of him is that where the Tahoe was or no the Tahoe was right behind him oh so the Tahoe was also behind him and then he in the process of I guess trying to get out he backs up and hits the Tahoe or how does that happen seemed like that yeah okay okay uh it it was hit during the course of a a police pursuit so there's somebody fleeing the police and he ended up striking your vehicle what happens after he hits the van well he start like try to to moving in second cup show up the second cup show up and got it back and then the front officer uh he catching the dog but he never go know the bo go you know he can have arms or something so okay maybe they scared they scar everybody everybody scared um did you see if he hit any of the units in the process this you know I think he hit that front one okay the front one because he started like doing back and forth because the first officer coming right behind to him like a trying to box it yeah so I'm pretty sure he hit it and he hit the the the auto truck too the blue one oh did he pick up yes it's right there in the buper oh heit the yeah because I see the truck moving I I be right here like I go to work and I see everything yeah I you're right here for it huh you know for a a second he crush me give me one second um I guess he said that it also struck the Silverado the bumper yeah yeah ioving oh is it that [Music] dent no see no out car I just had fix somebody hit me at the hospital oh really yeah the suspect was ultimately charged with aggravated fleeing possession of a stolen vehicle and aggravated assault on a peace officer before being booked into jail Mr menis I'm detective B with the Las cus Police Department I'm
