on December 31st 2022 Dunwoody police officers were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle reported by employees at a Chevron gas station in Dunwoody Georgia all right what happened to the tire um yeah caught a flat so I'm um we should be pulling up any minute all right am I in trouble or anything not that I know of all right I'll down by to see if he comes cuz uh they called in this is private property so they were wondering why you were pared there so that's I was checking in on you all right got my that's why I believe you I believe you yeah routine check of the vehicle tag revealed much more than just a flat tire what is it Luther Jones Luther Jones you have an ID with you just to confirm you know who the registered owner is of this car oh my dad I your dad okay no you're fine your dad has a warrant for his arrest so that's why whenever we were checking the the car and all that stuff we we saw that he had a war what's your dad's name okay my dad name random yeah my dad your dad has a warrant for his arrest do you have an ID with you just so because we make contact with you you don't what's your name sir Luther Jones Luther Jones yep a daddy they said you got to uh warrant for your arrest my sister and my um uh a u t h e r yeah j o yes what's your date of birth Mr Jones uh you have a Georgia ID or is that another state uh ge Georgia yep I don't have it with that's fine yeah you're fine what happened to your tire um they had um it had got caught a flat on my sister my sister on the way back my sister and um they took the tire to go and get some erand something I got you okay all right like I said man we just need to get some ID just to uh confirm you are and also just say that we make contact with you if you want to let your dad know it's out of the Cab County all right my dad name Rand yeah Randall yes sir uh it's out of the cap County looks like they issued that warrant back on the 22nd of this month so it's it's a new warrant so he needs to whatever needs to happen he needs to contact the capab County and get that squared away and figured out okay okay he said you need to get that squared out he said can he know what it's for uh it said theft by deception death by deception I don't know it could be something that's a misunderstanding of some sort but he has to work something out with the Cab County because they're the ones that issued that warrant okay okay he said he just said you go go up there and see what's going on yeah all right cuz otherwise you're going to be driving this your sister going to be driving no I know but your sister driving this and she's going to get pulled over cuz the tent and all that stuff can't really see who's driving that car it's going to constantly happen until he until he gets it taken care of okay all right you how long you been sitting out here waiting for her for probably about um probably about 15 minutes okay that's not bad that's not bad I'm like damn I do anything wrong no no no we just we got an alert on the car so that's why we just we were both we were both literally at the QT when we got the alert so we just came over here that's cool yeah I I ain't got I ain't never been no system none of that if you have a driver's license you should be under system is there another name I I don't got a driver's license I don't have a driver's license have you ever had an ID out of anywhere um I ain't any trouble know if You' ever had an ID out of anywhere no never ised an ID at all no how old are you I'm 20 20 yeah I ain't never no job no ID I just um do you have a middle initial yeah what's your middle initial b Luther what does it stand for Brian Brian yeah okay all right I'll be right back with you Mr Jones okay if you just want to stand by with him real quick we should need to ID you make sure you're the person you say you are and we and we're gone okay okay cuz we stopped for your father he has it's at a it's at a Decap County it's it's your dad it's your dad he looks just like you just older yeah we have his picture uh he has I think colored eyes okay yeah so it's uh you tell your dad to contact the cup County okay the cap County Sheriff's okay and ask them what's going on because that's who has the warrant not us okay okay yeah cuz if if you're driving around and and off driv I'm waiting on my my sister and the mechanic even even if your sister's driving if if they run that tag it's going to it's going to hit he said that yeah there's cameras everywhere yeah he said is there's no way you can have a death by deception you has to call the cap County she yeah they said CU we had done with it yeah is it is it not popping up because we're not from here what's not popping up um the in my name no your name we're running it through Georgia so we're running through the whole state okay yeah so your ID and your name should pop up just to say it's you and then we leave okay yeah is that the only reason y'all stopped it because of that y I was about to say yeah that can't be me but they did that's how we found you they called us and said someone was out here without a wheel yeah so that's why we showed up and ran your tags and it comes back to your dad okay I'm like the way y'all put on like am I did I do anything wrong hello the officer found no matching record and when asked for his information again his story changed you see me I still ain't got you man what's your date of birth again maybe I wrote it down wrong 95 95 how old are you I'm I'm 26 25 26 25 which one you New Year's Day New Year's Day yeah well not New Year's day cuz you said 95 no my birthday is 1995 I'm 25 1995 yeah well 1995 that would put you as 25 yeah it is that's 25 no it's 2022 we're about be in 2023 I'm about to be 26 right you about to be 27 hello yeah I ain't never dealt with no police man I don't be you feel me I be nervous around y'all you can take no reason be nervous man cuz you told me you were 20 now the uh ID have you ever been locked up before at all man I don't no trouble no trouble all right no trouble we got an ID okay we made contact with you we got a ID what where would you come out of like what state cuz I mean Tennessee cuz it's kind of hard to believe yeah that you wouldn't have an ID at all and stuff like that and all that stuff was Tennessee okay I got see I Ain never been in hey it's first thing in the morning we got we just got out of the shift and all that stuff so me out of Tennessee yeah he oh Tennessee so he said he he said his month his he was born the age he was saying he was about to turn is wrong and uh that Dad has dad has the warrant not him but he's giving us what's up he's a junior he he's not giving us like the right he said he's never had an ID or anything he's 20 I don't have a dver I've never had an ID nothing n he he thought I was he thought I was linding cuz I told him that I'm my birthday B these [ __ ] so packed Bo I you have anything with your name on it at all uh no I ain't got no bank account I'm trying to see no school picture you got a school ID all Mr Jones so here's the deal okay we got ID like I said you finger long tell me up yeah you're not in trouble like I said we just got to confirm okay so we will we have a fingerprint scanner we're going to bring that here just scan your fingerprints nothing comes back then we don't have anything we're going to let you go man some comes back and all that then we'll go from there with what whatever comes back with those fingerprints all right so you're telling me your name is Luther Jones man bring whatever all right hello you have like a Facebook or anything like any kind of social media that would have your name on it Instagram n i I got an Instagram but it ain't got my name on it bro you need to get something with your name cuz otherwise this going to keep happening man if you ever have contact with police we got to make we got to know who you are so we got to get something man something with your name on it where you stay at uh to the I am and I just want to make sure I spelled it right l u t h e r Jon j o n e s and okay you know if you just give I don't know what information you're giv but if you just simply give the right one y can pull up we're trying trying to do that this whole time that's why we still here no I'm saying he I thought he said that he was yeah we got a fingerprint scanner coming so we'll just have to wait for that all right I go through all of that you just give us all your information where you're from they they I just told you I'm from Tennessee from Tennessee I you 26 you never had I I a't never had never had a driver's license never had no driver license cuz I drive I drive so you end up never had no job nothing I know I how you end up in Georgia I end up joking like how you get around oh my mama came me got my mom I was there with my yo bro I 4 I say you wa all right we got to get the CL premises after we find out who you are then yeah yeah he's just he's got to give be given a false name mhm like it's got nothing in here and did he write it his name he gave it to me uh so I wrote it down and I confirmed with him the spelling then he gave me his date of birth then Ernie goes to run them I'm like how old are you and he's like 20 and I'm like so I get the notepad back I'm like do Mak so then I come over here and ask him I'm like hey how old you how old are you again he's like oh like 25 I mean 26 yeah I'm like say your birthday again he should be 27 he should be yeah 27 be 28 next year but he swears he's he just turned 26 kind curious what he really got on him now this right want to talk to her huh want to talk I couldn't hear her what's upo so when they they say when they ran these tags my daddy got a came back as a warant mhm but I didn't know for sure that that's my daddy then cuz my daddy don't even drive this car if you come back to him huh it come this his car yeah so said he don't even drive it it's in his name but he don't even drive he don't even stay here so that's the thing if it's in his name it's attached to him then it'll be a warrant out for him anything that'll identify him it'll come back to him the driver's license tag anything van number if it come back to him it's going to pop up you know with a warrant when the officer dug deeper he uncovered more information about his family's criminal activities find anything interesting dad stuff yeah I'm looking at dad stuff trying to see uh well he's a suspect and a motor vehicle theft the dad is but I'm trying to read the report now to see what all that involved cuz it involved this car right here these kids hiding something man yeah large black male was with the suspect who's a suspect black female with tattoos on her right thigh and right forearm it was him and a female it wasn't him it sounds like it's the dad yeah and the female and a female which might be his sister who's on the phone with I bet do you think sister has a warrant too then if Dad does uh that's what I'm trying it doesn't bring up anything about the sister that's the issue so there's a theft by deception a theft by deception charge there's a theft by deception charge uhhuh um for the suspect which is Dad I see I don't I don't know that's that that's done with the tire oh Ernie you say that's done with the tire okay hold on all right who they to who's that to you that's my mechanic who's with it should be his sister with him see if the sister can confirm date of birth that's your mechanic that's the mechanic yeah where's your sister at she not coming back yeah okay him you can stand by real quick all right Bossman let me get your finger I need your left index finger left index all right and your left middle appreciate it boy came you got security [Music] like he thirsty no wants what's your social security number I don't even know my social you don't know your last four one second they thirsty to try to find something why yall just I forgot y'all can't see my name you D is it Warren it says randelle Johnson's uh no but you are under arrest man for false name and date of birth so go ahead and push P back gave you so many opportunities man you were you scared you had that can s on us no nope all right all can you um grab the key all we'll get everything taken we'll get everything we're not going so my mom could come get the car hey you want them re check just give us one second you want search him real quick he said uh sister's on his way and that's the mechanic Tire mechanic he he does have suspended license and all that too yeah all driv while on license and stuff yeah I I don't think they're going to pick up what is it called W what Whitfield County dton yeah it's up north uh probation violation surrounding surrounding counties of driving so is the uh where which side of the uh car did he come out of passenger driver driver's side yeah you can search the driver's side if you saw him go out the out of that side and 100% check the car make sure there's nothing else in the car is uh false rep uh take the ride or is it a sight really no you take the ride for false rep officers searched the vehicle but found nothing illegal the man was allowed to make a phone call so someone could retrieve the car what they charging you with uh they charged me with false identification and and then whatever and whatever Windfield got but it's mainly Windfield that's what the problem me it's them yeah ours is a sight releas you hear me yeah okay how long cuz I'm trying to get up out of here they on the way all right who on the way all right yeah I'm all right all right wait what tell we got 15 minutes they they said we got 15 minutes let my mama know cuz that's too far then I might just have to sign my stuff over to it ask can 15 it's 15 minutes enough heard her what she say 20 minutes say she 20 minutes away yeah that's right all right they said that's all right all right we um we'll call you all right right he was arrested on charges of providing false information to a police officer and transported to the deob county jail for booking you taking off stand by it's just sister that's who she called what's her name he said he said hey sis cuz I'm pretty sure he's like making mom come get it yeah no but she said she said uh mom's not answering I'll I'll stand with you tough okay CU I could here something um I mean I can stick around are you going to stick around I can say I can stay like 10 15 minutes I'm going to do the paperwork right now so at least when I get there it'll be all done all right
