On August 13th, 2025, a Flaggler County Sheriff's deputy on patrol near a local high school in Banell, Florida, observed suspicious activity at a Wawa gas station. The deputy saw a white Infinity sedan pull into the parking lot. Shortly afterward, a male arrived on an electric scooter and entered the backseat of the vehicle. The deputy recognized the vehicle as belonging to a known offender with an extensive criminal history, including multiple prior arrests and suspected involvement in drug sales. Deputy approached the vehicle while carrying a miniature stopstick tire deflation device in case the vehicle attempted to flee. As the deputy approached, the male exited and walked away.
