on October 26th 2023 at around 1:00 a.m. security cameras at the Sandy Springs Police Department headquarters captured a black Dodge Charger laying drag and doing donuts near the building's parking lot just a few days later on November 3rd officers on patrol spotted the same Dodge Charger a traffic stop was initiated Tango [Music] 76 T the lights Adair Lane approaching Morgan's Falls Alabama tag one Romeo alpha bravo bravo one Tango a black Dodge Charger say final stops going to be the rear headquarters the final stops going to be the rear police headquarters don't say anything about it the driver upon being asked for his license provided only his name and date of birth s you want back window how yall doing all right thank you good morning man good morning all right hold on one second right hey go ahead go ahead and turn the car off for me appreciate it man it's just hard to hear you it is a misdemeanor in the state of Georgia to misrepresent yourself okay I want you to tell me the here just to give you a heads up the city Sandy Springs has a huge traffic problem right with traffing fatalities with hit runs and this residential area there's a ton of pedestrian traffic back and forth so that's why the laying the drag the do with the donuts especially in the the metro area is such a hot Lev topic right now um that's what gets the traffic attention Okay it isn't it isn't just hey man we're just looking to jam this guy up because we need like a statistic that's not what it's about right but you were out here laying drag that has the traffic unit's attention you're also driving with a suspended license and not to mention not only are you not driving safe the other night but while we were waiting for you to exit to come talk to you about laying drag you blew the stops AR coming out you're not even driving safe to of that that was solely because I'm late for I was trying not to be late for I I I hear you and I listen a gentleman I'm trying to treat you like a somebody gets killed in in vehicle accident so that that's why the Traffic Unit is so passionate about it I know it may not bring that that same CT with you because you have your own personal life to live you have your own set of circumstances and this obviously is going to be a speed bump in them um this is why the the chain of events is happening the way that it is so how much did it get my car um that much I can't tell you I'm pretty new here right I just transferred from another agency so um we will get that information for you and then I'll go ahead and get you the paperwork you need to go ahead and get your car back once you get done suspended license if you did it fact pay your your thing and your license is supposed to be reinstated is all of my paperwork is okay so I'm going to I'm going to talk to your girlfriend and we're going to have her prepare all that documentation when you go before the judge whatever he'll make you you know you sign out on your bond or whatever when you got to come to court to answer for it you like Hey listen I went to Alabama use my credit C I did it and it's not on me right like if if Alabama drop the ball put in the system which happens with the city of Atlanta um then that's something that you can articulate to the court so you think to work with you on after you get out you're going to have to call Birmingham or whatever jurisdiction have that issue with your license and you're going to have to get it get it handled and maybe have a conversation with them as to why the ball was dropped if that is exactly case okay okay I yeah I I make phone calls right away so he can call you and then explain anything that they tell you um but it shouldn't be long last time I don't know what time he got arrested last time but during the days pretty I told him so I'm going to leave him a card it's got all the information for AO it's the company that's Towing the vehicle um and he can call them set an appointment or show up throw open 24/7 yeah I can give you one um they're open 24/7 um unfortunately he's going to be at the one to get it out uh um but yeah he'll be able to get out easy okay okay cool yep just hang tight and I'll get you
