his wife had physically attacked him the police promptly responded and arrived at their residents to investigate the settling report the officers first encountered the wife at the scene she appeared agitated and quickly asserted that she was the victim of domestic abuse all right so were you guys out tonight yeah we were out and we had a few drinks and sometimes sometimes it get a little crazy he hit me more than usual tonight okay and I have like a little s which you know what happens okay no it doesn't happen yes it does no it doesn't that's not the way it works not a healthy relationship you know that I have a daughter I understand so where did this take place we were up at a squ with one of the doctors he works for okay I said something he didn't like which is usual and then he said you're stupid you're stupid and I said uh was he hitting you while you guys were still at Square Grouper or was he hitting you in the car on your while we were in the closet here okay yeah but oh I don't want it to go anywhere I understand what you're saying but this is a domestic situation you know it's that though cuz you know okay um but I'm Spanish and he hates that is your daughter home no no no no no this would never happen if my daughter was home okay never okay never no no he actually called you guys right which I was like no but right I feel like my lip is fatter than you it usually is okay and then at any point where like you're trying to push him away from you yeah and he call my dad at one point okay the man visibly distressed explained to the officers that the argument escalated while they were driving back from a colleague's gathering amidst their heated exchange the wife struck him multiple times initially she alleged the assault occurred at home but her account shifted to the car ride revealing inconsistencies in her case an officer asked her about a fresh mark on her lip to which she responded that it happened accidentally when the car break sharply causing her face to hit the dashboard this explanation seemed plausible until further details emerged she admitted that she wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time which contradicted the nature of her injury so how did she get the dang on her lip the dang on her lip yeah I think she just got her lips done she gets Cosmetics the bang on the lip is from when I hit the is out here go my house or I hit the brakes when she smacked me in the face and then she hit the dashboard oh so when you hit the break she did not have her seal time okay and where's she hitting you at when you're driving um like pretty me okay when she hit you did she hit you with something uh just probably her hand and jewelry her hand or something I don't know I mean what she didn't hit me was something but she hit me in the car witness statements decided to act despite her initial portrayal as a victim it became evident that the wife was the aggressor in this instance she was placed under arrest for domestic battery just turn around for me I'm going to walk you out really yes ma'am what did I do wrong what did I do wrong so it's going to be U you're getting arrested for a domestic battery ready oh my God all right walk up there yep yeah no right here this is good too right step in this is good women again it's excuse me could you lean back for me please absolutely as they escorted her to the police car she seemed bewildered unable to grasp the severity of her actions unfortunately the case took a frustrating turn later on the charges were dropped as the husband decided not to proceed with the court case case as we move from this case it's clear that domestic abuse affects many lives in different ways now let's explore another case that shows just how complex these situations can be on May 6th 2024 an ordinary day took a dramatic turn in Ohio when an officer spotted a woman driving erratically her Reckless Maneuvers caught the officer's attention prompting him to follow as she spared to a local business and then hurried home CED for her welfare and the safety of others the officer decided to conduct a welfare check at her residence upon arrival the situation escalated quickly the woman identified as Sierra was visibly agitated and uncooperative she attempted to retreat into her house through the garage while loudly asserting her rights the officer trying to assess the situation calmly responded yeah somebody hit the somebody sat there well I'm going to don't go in the house don't go in the house don't go in my don't let you have a war what's going on open up the door door no I don't have to without a warrant so what's going on just talk to us he hit me who I don't see anybody else that's what I'm trying to say you don't see anybody else no you didn't you didn't you didn't woman who was causing concern among her co-workers the woman later identified as Jennifer was struggling to stand straight visibly overwhelmed by her inebriation as the restaurant was closing Jennifer's co-workers attempted to assist her in arranging a ride home however they faced a challenge Jennifer had recently moved and no one was quite sure of her new address this confusion delayed been here drinking the whole all of the employees and they called us because they needed your assist cuz you were so out of control she became aggressive at one point even offering bribes to the officers in a misguided attempt to persuade them to let her go her actions spiraled further out of control as she physically lashed out at one of the officers can you hear your mother D relax who
