on August 18th 2024 a Flagler County Sheriff's deputy on patrol noticed a vehicle with a cracked windshield in bunnel Florida and initiated a traffic stop the driver didn't immediately stop but instead drove to the back of a property before exiting the vehicle visibly [Music] nervous friend Laur dri we going to driveway in Laurel new channel stop stop Drive toop come here I live right here perimeter was set up drones were deployed and ak9 was called in to assist you have him all where's our next closest thing that the car can't get out of here okay but he can get out on foot at the front what three more behind them I need containment on lard Hayes's house you see the tire he's the corner he's the corner of uh Holly and mahogany across from the park the junkyard fler do you have a a px for uh 13 to the incoming units I'm going to need one unit to go to the front just to the east of Holly in front of the park there's Woods that run through in case he goes on foot and need somebody else to to holing and mahogany for perimeter points and that seem to get a drone you can clearly see the turn over the over correction and driving down and coming directly on yeah cuz he went vacant lot goes on foot I mean he might have just crashed it dude I mean he was running that thing eventually they located the vehicle abandoned in a pond but the suspect was nowhere to be found all the ditch and went into those Farms now for sure during the search deputies found discarded boots and socks in a ditch but still no suspect a witness later contacted the Sheriff's Office reporting a man running through her yard near the crash site did you check under the bridge yeah yeah we' we've checked under the bridge I know he went right we've been we've been in these in this field we went like at least 100 yards in uh we found across this way yeah so you you you don't have any cameras or anything like that do you no I wish we did well I wish my freaking yard was he did he move from behind your house over here he came between them two bushes yeah is there's an open patch back there come running up beside the chicken CP and I'd seen him my do I had my door open yeah I seen him right about here yeah [ __ ] running I'm like what the hell yeah cuz my dog started going off yeah what was he wearing ma'am he had a white cat shorts like a cat like a baseball hat yeah and he ran from back there up here and I was kid I don't like everybody in my yard but he was running and and he went over there he sat down and started sliding in yeah and I was going to go over and say what the you cutting through my yard for yeah because I'm really yeah what shirt was he wearing I think it was a white one I can't all I know is I seen him and he had shorts on he had a white baseball cap and then I said to my husband somebody just cut through our yard can you tell if he was wearing any shoes like pair of boots or anything you boots on yes and and and my husband goes well the cops are coming around here he because maybe you ought to call 911 and let him know that you see him whiskey Mike she's confirming that he came from the these bushes over here ran across White Cap had uh possibly a white T-shirt on did have boots on shorts and slick down that embankment he sat down and went that I couldn't see him no more did you see him climb back over no I stood there for a while and I didn't see anything I'm saying you didn't see him climb up over that way no I didn't see any disturbance and so I walked back and told my husband he goes well maybe you ought to call 911 because I seen a couple cops out here so I called him and told told him I said look I don't know if some got to go um I back through there I didn't see if he threw anything or deputies continued their search discovering traces of the suspect but were unable to locate him directly all right so so he went through this first that we were at originally the sock where he was B down slow down thinking he cross cross this ditch this next field right there he [ __ ] cross here one more field after just so you guys are aware right here possibly yeah I'm yeah I'm tring that when we went and checked the barn CR he didn't the road there's no footprints in the road so he crossed he used the [Applause] [Music] ditch other point that's what I'm saying yeah you can e we check that we check that the dog I want the walking alongside this might still be back in there yeah 1328 later that night at around 11:00 p.m. another witness reported a shirtless Barefoot man running through his yard deputies quickly responded set up a perimeter and finally apprehended the exhausted suspect without further incident how you doing I'm all right you doing okay you hurt are you hurt from what going through the woods out you know what I'm saying I mean look at dude look at your legs look at your back look at your arms you didn't just go through this drugs I'm not going to refute that actually that might actually I'm just being honest with you you know what I'm saying I need help what kind of drugs I'm not even running I'm running from my goddamn demons I ain't running I'm say is this what you toss in the happen that way I have plenty of video to refresh your memory [Applause] he was charged with Grand Theft of a motor vehicle fleeing with disregard for safety obstruction without violence driving with a suspended license and being a fugitive from Justice he was also wanded for drug possession in Georgia he was checked by medical services and after being cleared by Hospital staff was transported to the local jail also known as The Green Roof in so you think when am I going to be able to get something to eat and drink man I'm starving man you probably might they might be able to get you something to get to the hospital I don't know yes sir [Music]
