What you want to say? Are you jealous? >> I've given you enough. >> I didn't do nothing, though. >> Yes, you did. >> I just want to put my shoes on. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. >> Here are moments when dumb shoplifterss thought they could avoid consequences. We have a bunch of cases of Franco and he's already barred from here, too. >> I didn't know. >> The new piece of information the lost prevention revealed about the [music] suspect was just about to intensify the gravity of his crime. He knew quite well that the odds were stacked against him and that if he didn't act fast, he would end up going to jail. He needed to come up with something, no matter how lame it might seem. My damn leg, man. >> I don't have anything on me, man. >> Oh, you already got that straw on you. >> What? >> Stand back up. >> Oh. Oh, hold on. My leg. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Come on. Previously, the suspect had been caught shoplifting from the store, and this time they suspected she was at it again. When the deputies arrived, they intended to remove her from the store without escalating the situation. >> That's right there. >> Okay. >> And she's not going to buy that stuff. Like I said, there's just so much that I couldn't even tell you what is and what isn't. But obviously, she had something if it was going on. >> Yeah. I like how you also broke the glass. >> Oh, I know. I was like, so [laughter] right off the rail. >> After the herculan task of sorting out which items in her bag were stolen, they finally decided to return them to the store. But nothing could have prepared them for what the cashier was about to say next. I'm assuming these are >> cars. >> Yeah. So, >> thing is when she came in that went off. So, and like just like used like one time. So if you come across anything that >> that's fine. We're good. >> Okay. Thank you. >> You bet. >> Um all that stuff was theirs. So everything's kind of um ma'am. I see that you you scratched your chin a little bit. Uh do you need to go to the hospital or get medical attention? Okay. Are you injured at all? >> Yeah, I am. But >> how are you injured? >> I got it. I need to >> Okay. >> Do you need medical attention at all tonight? No. Okay. And then, >> dude, I don't lie. Lying is a sin. >> Okay. And then you you resisted. Then you made threats threats to us. Okay. And then you were kicking and scratching us. >> I'm off my med. So, >> I might have blacked out. I didn't realize it. Hey, did you you said battery to public officer, right? For the what? Sorry. Okay. All right. >> Perfect. Thank you. >> After all, she was booked into jail on two counts of felony threat to a law enforcement officer. Misdemeanor counts of retail theft and resisting an officer. Just as Adalie strolled out of that pharmacy store thinking she had gotten away with the stolen items, these serial shoplifterss got busted after what seemed like a successful shoplifting attempt. Passenger, keep your hands on the dash for me. >> You keep your hands on that in front of you. Keep your hands up there in front of you. I said >> all this stuff, all these freaking tags on it. No bags or no receipt. She been arrested a bunch for stealing like 10 times probably. They got all this stolen property inside the car. They still got to take back to TJ Maxx. Apparently, it was stolen from a different TJ Maxx like in Daytona. On May the 7th, 2025, two women walked into the TJ Maxx grocery store. But instead of shopping like everyone else, they chose to be avid collectors of unpaid merchandise. What they didn't realize was that the store had more cameras than a movie set and that they had just filmed their own arrest. After passing through every checkout queue without paying for the items in their possession, Loss Prevention called 911. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had already fled the scene. But loss prevention was able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle they used to get away. Armed with that information, officers began searching the area and before long they spotted the vehicle and quickly initiated a traffic stop. >> Hey, no. Step out of the car for me. >> Any believe it's going to be them. I got three females in the car. I think they're all involved. >> Oh, yes. >> Where y'all coming from? Huh? >> What? What? >> No. Okay, quit. I said step out of the car, didn't I? All right. Step out of the car. Hey, quit moving around back there. Give me another unit here. I've got a bunch of stolen TJ Maxx stuff in the back. >> This stuff, I don't care. >> Passenger, keep your hands on the dash for me. >> You keep your hands on that in front of you. Keep your hands up there in front of you. I said >> she didn't even go in the store. So, >> I don't care. Neither. I got the driver secure and the other two are compliant. >> Without moving your hands, where's your ID in the car? >> I don't have one. >> Huh? >> I don't have one. >> You don't have one? It's a rental car. It's showing. It's a rental car in your name. Ma'am, keep your hands on the deck. Put your hands up in front of you. I said, I don't care who she's calling. You understand? Don't drop your hands. >> Can I car? Can I lean up a little bit? I'm not going anything. >> Yep. I just need to keep an eye on them from where you're at. >> I've got three in the car. I've got driver secure. Still two in the car. Driver's black shirt and jeans. Front passenger a pink shirt and pink shorts. This back passenger is a pink tank top, like a pink sports bra kind of, and uh multicolored leggings. >> I wrote, >> huh? >> Oh, no. I said I wrote wait. >> I've got hands up on both of the passengers. >> I If you want to get one of them out, you can. I just didn't want to. I just got a driver out. She's in cuffs right now. So, whichever one you want. And then the other one, keep your hands on the cuff her up. They match the description. So, keep your hands over >> here. Just put it right here and get the other one out. cuz the other one keeps getting on the phone. >> Yeah, hang that phone up. >> Well, we're about to find out. All right. >> Just check pockets or whatever when you walk them back. >> We'll just need to do a show up whenever they get to over there. You have a valid license or no? >> Romeo? >> No, sir. >> You on probation? >> No, sir. >> You on probation? >> Where do you live? >> Where do you live? Gainesville, where do you live? >> I'm just I didn't want your hands to come out. You got you got small wrist. >> You got small wrists, so I just didn't want the cuffs to slip off. Any 60 a Fox right now and TJ Maxx, you can go to LA3. >> You can walk her back there, too. >> Hey, are you still looking for one there or do you think she's in the car here? Come right over here for me. >> You didn't leave anyone back at >> No, I swear to God's car. The driver here is saying that uh they're all here in the car. They didn't leave anyone behind. Can you do a show up over here? >> I'm going to lie to you. And the pregnant girl never got out to her car. Not >> there was two inside the store. >> Me and that girl right now. >> You and the other one? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. All right. >> All right. I'm going to use the back of my hand just to go over your pockets. Make sure you Is there any weed or anything in the car you know about? >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah. I mean, I can smell it. >> All right. Again, back of my hand. Okay. >> I'm not grabbing your butt. >> All right. Turn around and relax right here for me. >> Turn around. Relax again. >> She's saying it was her and another one in the store. She's the one in your car. I think >> there's two in my car. Which one? >> Okay. >> Which TJ Maxx is the stuff in the back for him? >> Daytona. >> Daytona. Man, >> you already call out all three. >> I did not. Do you want to run them and ID him and we can go from there? And you're not on probation? >> I'm not on probation, but I >> You got open case right now. You got on bond >> driving >> for driving out of where? Put them. Well, you said you're palaca or you're from Palaca. Whose name is the car in? my sister. Yeah, I'm already sentenced on that time after 180 days. >> You're out here committing new crimes when you get sentenced. They ain't going to like that. Sentenced to what? 180 days just for driving. Are you habitual? >> All right. Here, let's walk back here. Let's get you out of the rain and at least get you drive for now. You don't want to go in the back. All right. Can you just um do a full >> Yeah. Do a search of her, please. I already did the pockets with the back of my hand, but just do a search her and you put her in there for now. Just get her out of the rain >> here. Come real quick. Do >> you have anything illegal on you? >> You have anything on you? Just going to stick >> um I smell coming out there. So, let's uh The driver said that there's weed there, but let's make sure none of my medical card and then we can at least get that part out of the way. There's a whole bunch of TJ Maxx stuff in the back with tags all thrown on the floor. So, >> do you have a medical card on that vehicle? While some [snorts] of the officers were still searching and questioning them to get every information they needed, two officers proceeded to search the vehicle. And what they were about to find would leave them frozen in disbelief. >> Marina, do you have a medical card? >> Expired. >> Expired. Okay. This has still got a sticker on it. >> Um, you see all this clothes in the back? They all TJ Maxx tag on. >> Oh, there's Yeah, they stuffed all the tags. Started stuck in the stuffing the tags in the back pocket here. So, the back seat passenger sitting on all those. The pregnant one. Yeah, I did ask her, but she's not been merandized yet, but the driver said that they were in the Daytona of TJ Maxx before that one. But yeah, you can see there's just TJ Maxx stuff freaking everywhere. Yeah. All this stuff. All these freaking tags on it. No bags or no receipts, nothing. >> Oh, there's all the inventory control devices. Yeah. Watch out cuz they're pointy ends. >> Yeah. Here's drivers in here. >> Do you see a purse or anything else on the front? Is anyone's name? >> Was there any IDs or anything? I mean, look at all those tags right in front of where the one in the back sitting. >> Yeah. >> That are all ripped off. So, the pregnant one was here sitting on all these clothes. >> And right in front of her is all the ripped off tags. >> Which one did you say? The one in the >> one with just the top. >> The one that's obvious. >> The one in just the sports bra looking thing. She was here with all the ripped off tags and everything is it's all up there in front of that. >> Did we pull the trunk yet? >> No, we haven't gotten the trunk yet. But they're saying that they were at Daytona TJ Maxx before this one. Where the pregnant one in the back was sitting is one of those metal tags. So like they were popping those off, too. >> So you're the only one that doesn't have a prior theft conviction, but you two have lots lots of theft convictions. >> You're sitting on a bunch of stolen stuff in the car. >> I didn't steal those stuff. >> You're sitting on it all. >> No, I was not sitting on it. I swear for God. >> You were in the back seat, right? >> But that was not my stuff. >> But all this all this clothes right here, you were literally when you got out of the car, you it was behind you. You were sitting on it. >> I literally asked the lady that just took her, I told her when I was sleep, I was laying down on I was not hiding them. I swear. >> So all of it was You were laying on top of all that. >> No, not like to hide it, but I was using cushion like what? >> And the other thing is all the stolen all the tags that are all pulled off are all right in front of where you're sitting in the back. >> Oh, God. That was not me, sir. I mean, you need better friends than I imagine, right? >> But they told you I was not I wasn't stealing. Like, I wasn't stealing. Like, that man could confer. We go watch those. >> I know. Yeah. You didn't You weren't in there. Correct. >> But, >> but you're on top of all the stolen property and stuff. >> No, that was not my stuff. It wasn't like that. That's what I'm trying to say. It was not like that. >> But you're going with them from store to store and they're stealing stuff. >> I was in the back seat. I was not stealing stuff. >> I know you're not getting out, but you're in the car with them going store to store. >> I did not know, sir. I swear for God. I did not know. >> Okay, you got to check it up with the deputy that's investigating it. You need to ask them. Uh we'll talk to her when she gets back up here. >> Cuz I was not stealing. Like what? I did not do nothing. They could vouch for that. I did not steal. That's not none of my stuff. That's not mine. I don't steal. You seen my child? I don't steal. This not my cup of tea at all. >> Why don't you tell them to stop? Why are you with them? >> All she asked me to do was ride with her. I did not know. All she said was, "Can you please ride with me?" I said I'm just going to me and her sister before she dropped her sister off she said I need one of y'all to ride with me. I was going to go in the house and she know >> what city >> Putnham County >> I'm not even from here >> yeah I'm from Gainesville. I was just with her cuz that's my child's godmother. All she said was I need somebody to ride with. I said okay cool. >> Problem is is that they come out of here with all this stuff with no bags, no receipts. >> You're laying on top of all of it. >> I wasn't doing it like that to hide it. I was not doing that. No, but you're laying on top of all of it. It's all stolen stuff. >> Not my stolen. No. Hell no. Not my stolen. Sorry, excuse my French, but not my >> Yeah, I get it. >> No. No. Not the You're laying on top of it. And then all the tags that are popped off are all in your seat right in front of where you're sitting. >> Hell yeah. >> No one else is in the back. It's just you. >> Tell you like I did not do that. >> I know, but no one else is in the back. It's just you. >> You don't think these people probably did that. I did not do that. What I'm going to touch that stuff for? >> I don't want it. It's not my stuff. >> I did not do No, that's not my No. >> No. >> I'll talk to the deputy. I'll talk to you. >> No. >> So, the deputy that's investigating it is dropping the witness back off at the store and then they'll come up here and talk to you. >> Whether or not she'd end up in custody was a decision only the investigating officer could make. And if the tides were to turn against her, no amount of lame excuses would save the day. Meanwhile, officers went on to uncover shocking details about the activities of these so-called grabandgo professionals. >> But you're under arrest for sure. Are you out on bond right now? Cuz you got a bunch of theft history in tons of tons of different counties. So, this is a felony for you. For both of them, for you and the girl driver. >> For real? She got a felony? >> Yeah. They've been arrested like she been arrested a bunch for stealing. >> Like 10 times probably. >> Only one I know is one that's bad though. >> She been arrested a bunch for stealing too. But you're in the car. You're involved in this. >> Yeah, you're in it whether you want to be or not. I don't think so. Toshi's done. I'm just waiting on them to They got all the stolen property inside the car. They still got to take back the TJ Maxx. Apparently, it's stolen from a different TJ Maxx like in Daytona. All that, all that, that I tested the forum like a bunch of hats from like Hobby Lobby. So, let me ask you before this cuz they're pulling all the Daytona store video. Were you in Daytona store? >> No, sir. >> TJ Maxx? >> No, sir. >> Hobby Lobby? >> No, sir. >> You sure? You never went any store? >> That's the guy? No sir. >> Was she in any of these stores? >> I guess so. >> No. >> Cuz we're going to find out if you work. >> We could all go to the pictures of them. >> Really? >> Yeah. You need to get good pictures of her before you cut her loose. >> Yeah, just take the two and be done with them. >> Oh, yeah. >> After conducting an investigation, the suspects were charged with possession of an anti-shoplifting device and grand theft. Unlike those women who knew better than to resist cops after they got caught, this woman bolted off on foot after her shoplifting attempt failed woefully. Pepper. Put your hands behind your back. Palms together like you're praying. Put behind your back. Put your palms together like you're praying. >> I told her you also saw them in the front cuz I didn't purchase them. But I have money to buy everything in that cart. >> Are you joking? >> No. >> On October the 26th, 2023, police were dispatched to a Walmart store following reports of a shoplifting incident involving a woman. Upon their arrival at the store, they quickly detained the suspects before they could realize what was happening. >> All right, go ahead and put your hands behind your back. See? >> Yeah. >> What are they doing? >> Put your hands behind your back. What happened? Put your hands behind your back. Palms together like you're praying. Awesome. Come here. Come here. Turn around. Hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. Put your palms together like you're praying >> off the again. You listen to me. You listen to me, not her. >> Yeah, we're go in the office and I'll let you know. Okay. Walk all the way to the end. Not walking back. I'm pregnant. All the way behind him. All right. Go. Stand up. Stand up. Face the wall. You got any weapons on you? Anything? All right. Wait. Cuz you're pregnant. I'm going to swap these cups to the front together like you're praying out front. All right. Have a seat. So, here's my question to you guys. You guys almost hit me earlier, right? You saw me, right? But you saw me, right? So, you knew I was in the store, right? Okay. You also realize that there's thousands of cases throughout this entire store, correct? Okay. So, let's play devil's advocate. How smart is it to bag items without purchasing them and then putting them in a cart, concealing them without paying for them? >> You talking about the house shoes >> in general? Any merchandise? >> That's it. Right? Because we stopped you guys. But I'm I'm asking you a question. >> Is it smart to do that? >> No, you saw me. So I told her in the front cuz I didn't purchase them. But I have money to buy everything in that cart. >> Okay. Well, here's the other problem. We also have you guys from another incident with your photos where you guys were not stopped because you guys pushed out before they were able to make contact with you. So at this point today, you both are going to be trespassed from Walmart nationwide. You're not permitted in any Walmarts at all whatsoever. If they open one on Mars, you can't go to Mars and go to that Walmart either. We have facial recognition. I work this one and I also work 62. If you show up at either one of my Walmarts, I will immediately arrest you and charge you for both theft and I will also charge you for trespassing. Do you both have IDs? >> What's your first name, ma'am? >> All right. What's your first name? >> It was almost $1,200 last time, [music] wasn't it? >> Easily a felony [music] that I can still file warrants on. The last amount that you guys pushed out, almost $1,200. Just cuz we don't get you the first time doesn't mean we won't get you the second time or the third time or the fourth time. But the time that you guys spend doing all this nonsense, you guys could be putting application in somewhere for jobs and stuff. >> You can still work. We have plenty of people that work here at Walmart that are on SSI. >> At first, they only intended to issue a warning. But after running their IDs, they stumbled upon a startling revelation that was about to change everything. Uh, looks like the second one is showing an activating one out of can for F1 domestic obstruction. Uh, I'll see if there's a hard cop in the warrant. >> Sounds like you might be one of the county anyway. Nope. >> No, my phone. I'm going I might be going to the >> Come on. >> All right. So, just take her to home, then I'll let them know. >> I'll let them know. >> We'll call yall. >> All right. What happened? >> I had her cuffed and she told me she was pregnant. So, I cuffed her in the front. >> Did you cuff right here? >> No, in there. >> Oh, she's in the office. >> Oh, she's getting escapable today. >> Okay. >> But I had her cuffed in the front. I had her other friend here. All they wanted to do was trespass her. So, we're on her. She got warned. She wants to leave. She's got to go. I told her friend sitting there at the desk and I said you can go grab her go. She slips her cuff and gone [ __ ] come out here and I tap her to the ground only 30 minutes. >> Okay. >> She is pregnant I guess apparently. I don't know. >> She told she was pregnant before she ran. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> I mean when she was in the office? >> Yeah. >> After all was said and done, she was eventually charged with criminal escape and resisting arrest. Unlike most shoplifterss who get defensive or try to make a run for it, 19-year-old Cheryl broke down in tears when her free shopping spree backfired. [crying] Please, my mom. >> On August the 16th, 2023, officers of the Roswell Police Department were alerted to an incident of a 19-year-old female who left a store without paying for the merchandise. The officers met her in the parking lot and detained her. But what ensued afterward was both annoying and interesting at the same time. >> Where you going? >> Okay, let go. Let go. >> Come this way. >> Let go. >> Come this way. >> Please. No. Please let go. Why? Why? You hurt my arm. Why? >> I'm not hurting you. No, please. >> Stop. >> Please. >> Put your hands behind your back. [crying] >> Please. I want to go. No. Don't put her feet. Please. No. Owie. Owie. I don't know what's going on. >> Please tell me what's going on. >> In a very surprising twist, the grown-up woman, who was later identified as Cheryl, broke down and begun to cry like a baby. And this was where the story got even more interesting. >> I'm scared. Oh no, please my mommy. >> Please tell me what's going on. You're under arrest for shoplifting. What are you crying for? >> Because I'm scared. >> Are you crying cuz you got caught? >> No, because I know I didn't. >> I don't know what you just said. >> Cuz I know I should. >> Then why'd you do it? >> I don't know. >> It's not a very good reason, is it? >> I know. I know. I'm sorry. >> Come this way. >> Where? >> Side. You're fine. We're not here to hurt you. >> Just don't pick me up. This >> you up. >> This hurts my wrist, though. >> Well, they're not supposed to be comfortable for you. >> It's cutting. It's cutting my wrist. >> Okay. Well, they're going to get taken off in a second. Can you just calm down? I don't think I've ever heard a grown woman cry. [crying] >> Do those sunglasses wrong? >> Yes, I do. >> Okay. Check those real quick. >> Here, stand up. The hoodie, too. Yes, it is. I'm sorry. All >> do you use? >> Huh? >> What do you use? >> Um, I've tried the the pills. >> What pills? >> Yeah. I I don't >> Are there in here? >> I don't know if there's any in there right now. I don't know. Cheryl continued her ramblings and crying, but that didn't stop the officers from performing their duties. >> I'm not going to say that there's not, but I don't know. >> Like it was my friends. Let me promise. I don't know if there's anything in it right now. >> Shut that down. >> Sorry. >> You're fine. Here. Give me your hand. Both of them. >> I have to go back with them. >> Yep. >> Ow. What else do you use other than the bed? >> How is this out? I'm not even touching it. >> The metal hurts my wrist. >> What else do you use other than >> Yeah. >> Can I take off? >> Are they not yours? >> No, they are mad. I just don't want them on. What is your name? [crying] >> A very good name. >> Do me a favor. >> Why are you being so mean to me? You have to let me breathe. >> Take a deep breath. >> I'm being super nice. >> Why is he being so mean? >> Let me talk to you. Take a deep breath. >> He said, "Wow, such a great name. That's mean." >> Tell me your name. >> Because he's just being nice about it. >> What is your name? >> My name is Cheryl, [crying and laughter] I don't want to go to jail. I'm scared. I'm sorry. >> Cheryl, what's your last name? >> And I was supposed to be in court yesterday. >> How do you spell? I didn't know it was yesterday. I thought it was next Tuesday. >> Who knows? S M R O W. >> All right, take a breath and talk to me. >> Sorry. >> S U M >> R O W for everybody does because I you have to make one. So you just roll it and then fold it up like the ball to make a make a pipe >> too. Huh? >> No, that that was a >> Are you on probation or anything? >> No. >> Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse. Cheryl then begun to mix her words and say a bunch of senseless things when asked if she had a previous warrant. >> I was supposed to do it for court yesterday, though. I wanted I wanted to be able to tell the judge that I didn't know that the papers said it was this. I thought it was next Tuesday. >> He had me out on or >> I think he said something about on >> I don't know what that means. >> Well, you don't have a warrant, so you're >> Yeah. But still, maybe you can let him know that I knew what do want to show up for that cuz I didn't know it was yesterday. I thought it was going to be next Tuesday and so I just let in yesterday. >> Okay. You know, calls you won't forget about it. >> Just call the courts and let them know. >> Was it municipal court? >> Yeah. Just call them >> protection. >> Mhm. >> Just call them and let them know. >> Yeah. The first offense I've ever had and it was I was driving without a license. >> Okay. >> I knew it was I was a little stupid. That's why I'm guilty. >> Not the end of the world. Just give him a call. >> I know. I'm freaking out. >> Why? >> Because I've never been to jail and I don't want to go to jail. I'm scared. >> Made a poor choice today. [crying] >> I'm going to go to jail today. >> More than likely. >> Oh my Oh my >> Who's the guy you were with? >> Huh? >> Who's the guy you're with? >> What do you mean? >> There's a guy you were walking in the store with. >> I didn't walk out with anyone. >> You didn't walk out, but you were walking with somebody the whole time. It was an older guy. >> No, he was just walking like near me. I mean, he wasn't walking like >> so he followed you throughout the story. >> No, he didn't follow me. Okay. He's my friend. And we were kind of like talking here and there, but he was like kind of like, you know, on his own mission. >> Who's your mission? What are you calling? He was looking for some new glasses and stuff. >> He He paid. I mean, you can make the camera. I swear he did. >> I know he did. Interestingly, Cheryl tried to create an excuse for her bad habit, but the officers were not buying her story. >> Where do you live? Are you homeless right now? Yeah. >> Kind of. >> Yeah. >> Where do you live with then? >> It's like I'm in between two places right now. >> Okay. Smoking blues in Walmart. >> I'm sorry. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> I am I'm sorry. >> They're still going to have you trespass from here. and you will you'll ever be welcome at home or safely. >> You know what I noticed a lot? People are only sorry after they get caught. It's pretty crazy. They're not sorry why they do it, >> but they're sorry when they get caught. >> I do feel sorry every time I do it. I do it and I don't know why I do it. I don't know. >> It'd be like stabbing somebody and just going sorry and then continue stabbing them. >> Does that make sense? >> I mean, have you ever heard of, you know, have you ever heard of a therapist say that, you know, those things be an addiction? Shoplifting. >> Yeah, shoplifting can be an addiction. >> So, it was hard and I don't want I don't want to do it, but I find myself doing it anyways and I don't want to. And I know it'll get me in trouble. >> What therap What therapist do you go to? >> No, of course not. I'm not saying it is. >> You used to have a >> Yeah, I used to work at whatever. >> What therapist do you go to? >> I don't go to a therapist anymore. >> Wow. >> Do you go to a rehab? >> Huh? Do you go to a rehab? >> No. >> Probably should. >> What happened to work with you? >> I quit cuz they weren't paying me, you know. >> When did you quit? Not too long ago, right? >> It wasn't that Well, it's been like a couple months. But >> how much you making now? >> Well, not really anything. >> None, right? >> No, no. I've been It's because it's my ID though. I've been looking for a job, but I just I I can't get one without an ID. So, >> nobody's going to want to keep hiring you if you keep doing that [ __ ] and then you keep stealing. I can tell you that right now. >> And I know that, but you know, it's easier said than done. It's a little bit hard to do on your own. >> Especially whenever you have nobody on your side that's telling you you should. >> In the end, Cheryl was charged with shoplifting. You think you've seen how far clueless shoplifterss will go to dodge consequences until this woman tries to use her sick son as a getaway excuse after her sticky fingers got caught. >> Oh, I have Did you put your mask on? >> Sorry. >> I just had surgery. >> On the 16th of April, 2022, officers received [music] a call from Walmart reporting a woman who was alleged to have stolen something from the store. When the officers arrived at the scene, they had no idea that they were not prepared to [music] deal with a serial shoplifter. Hey, get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. >> I came in with the stuff and you can ask the people at the front >> right now. You almost back in my car. I'm being nice. >> He just the auto guy said I came back. >> He just confirmed that. >> Okay. >> It immediately started becoming obvious that she had a thing for making dumb decisions. Despite the officer making the best efforts to handle the situation in the best possible way, she was determined to heat it up. [snorts] >> Okay. >> Merchandise in the other book also on there. The last one. >> Okay. No. >> No. No. No. We're not We're not We're not arguing. I will talk to you. But right now, he's saying a crime was a crime committed. So, you're detained by me based on his statement to us and to the 911 operator. >> So, how am I being detained if I left my stuff right there? I was getting an oil change. >> That's not an argument I'm going to make. Okay, I need you to turn your vehicle off and come out with me. We'll go inside and we'll figure it out. And if it is just a misunderstanding, you'll be good to go. Okay. Okay. Well, how long is this going to take? >> As long as it takes. I'll get it done as soon as I can. Okay. >> 33.
