So he hit me. He tried to take my phone away. >> He was in my face and said, "I think the gym would tell you." He said that. >> Okay. He edited it, but that's You did say that >> he'll turn himself in on Monday morning. I've never heard of someone coming at 1:00 a.m. to arrest someone in a misdemeanor with no record. >> It's not a misdemeanor. It's a felony. It's a felony. >> Some Karens believe power, status, or a loud mouth gives them some form of control, especially when dealing with cops. They argue, name drop, and even try to bully their way out of trouble. >> Okay, you're good. That's all I needed to know. >> I gave him a narc. >> Hey, don't jump up like that, man. Relax. Relax. >> Hold on. Hold on. >> What are you doing, >> man? Come on. Back up, bro. Back up, bro. Back up, bro. >> Can you give me my phone so my mom could get around the corrections officer? So, here are some satisfying moments when powerful Karens realize far too late that they tried to bully the wrong cop. Starting with Derek Scobby, an Oklahoma minister who genuinely believed he could bully an officer into getting his way. >> You think I care? You want to Google me and see? You want to see so you don't understand? You just don't understand the method to my madness when I do things. >> Okay, stand up for me. On November the 8th, 2025 in Edmund, Oklahoma, officers were dispatched to a White House black market store after reports of a couple trespassing. The situation began when Oklahoma Minister Derek Scobby stormed into the store following allegations from his wife, Angela, claiming that an employee had groped her while she was still trying on clothes. Tensions quickly escalated and a heated argument broke out. When staff asked the couple to leave, they flat out refused. This left the management with no choice but to call the police. And by doing so, they effectively turned an already volatile situation into a full-blown confrontation. >> All right, Mr. Scobby, we got to get out of the store. >> Oh, I'm not leaving. >> Okay. >> Don't leave respectfully. You're going to arrest me. >> Okay. >> And that's what Why Why are you making it that way? >> Guess what I'm not going to do? >> What? I'm not >> I'm not gonna talk anymore other than tell you. Just talk to me. >> Okay. I don't care who you've spoken to. >> This is stupid. Like you're >> stupid. >> You are creating another problem on top of something that's already going on. >> I'm a correct one for what happened today. >> No, you're creating more problems for yourself. >> Matt, do you think I care? You want to Google me and see? You want to see >> so you'll understand. >> For reasons best known to him, he believed his identity alone would be enough to bully the officer into backing down. Unfortunately for him though, he had picked the wrong cop. One who was not impressed and was not the type to bend to a power-drunk politician's antics. >> What What does that mean? >> I don't tolerate this stuff. I I I advocate for people that are mistreated >> every single day. >> Sure. >> Every day. Okay. >> So So you think I'm not going to advocate for my wife? >> Sure. I I get I get that. But this isn't the way to do it. This is completely wrong. >> No. >> So what would what would how would you advocate for your wife by getting arrested for trespassing in a store that is asking you to leave? Tell me what's advocating about that. >> Um so I guess then we have to ask the question uh what was wrong when I stood in front of the governor's mansion. My friend Governor St. >> Okay. Go ahead. The night before the night before Julius Jones was scheduled to be executed and I was arrested in Miller Street just me and the next morning uh it was commuted to life without possibility parole. >> What does that have to do with right now? >> To file charges against me. I went to court six times for misdemeanor. Two that it was a $500 fine. >> Sure. >> You've been arrested. Congrats. No, >> I mean >> I went to court six times, >> okay, >> for a $500 fine, >> okay, >> because of the principle of it. So, uh and and then when it was all said and done, the charges were dismissed in the best interest of justice. >> Okay? >> And the and the DA who filed them against him, we're friends now. Meaning, you just don't understand the method to my madness when I do things. So, like with this, >> tell me how a criminal trespass will help you advocate for your wife. >> It will, sir. So, >> okay. >> At that point, the officer had seen enough. He was done with the shenanigans and ready to shut Derek down quickly and decisively. >> Let's let's get up because we have to we got to go. >> Okay. What do we have to go do? >> We've got to exit the store. >> I'm not exiting the store before you put me under arrest. >> Okay. Stand up for me. Okay. So, this is a trespassing. So, let's go out this way. >> It it was it was assault. It was it was um it was battery. >> Okay. Uh because what the guy said was he said, "You are real really curvy." And then he proceeded to open palm his hand and rub my wife's butt. Now, if you want to be a crossdress and all that, hey, I love you. More power to you. But he's a crossdresser that's married to a man. I mean, a woman. >> Turn around. Take a seat for me. >> What? What you want to do? >> There you go. Take a seat like you're sitting in a chair. Then you slide backwards. In the end, he was charged with trespassing. Up next is a rich Karen who genuinely thought money alone would be enough to silence the cops and bully her way out of trouble. >> You don't have to wait until he comes. >> You don't tell me what to do now. Doesn't work. >> Okay, you call somebody higher. I'm not in violation of anything. How can you arrest me? >> Okay, here's the deal. >> NO, YOU GET BRIAN HERE. THAT'S HIS FACILITY. I'M NOT GOING BY HIS ORDERS. >> ACT LIKE THIS. >> OH, he's taking me. It's hurting me. 1 million. >> On July the 3rd, 2024, officers responded to a facility after reports of a Karen making a scene and allegedly assaulting multiple people. When they arrived, her relatives rushed to intervene, insisting she needed help and claiming she was in the middle of a mental health breakdown. But before anything else could happen, the officers had one clear priority. Cut through the noise and figure out what the real issue actually was. >> So, one person speak at a time. You want to take the reigns? Go. >> Go. >> We're here. I'm from Michigan and we're upset because we've been trying hard since Friday to get her some mental health. >> Evaluate. >> We went again. If you want to take the reigns, please, one person at a time. No, you calm down. >> This has been very difficult because every step we take, we can't get her the help she needs. >> We went to see her on Friday evening. It went from a 10-minute conversation and then she went into these delusions and rants and raves. And as soon as we didn't say what she wanted to hear, she went a and pushed us out. We called the cops. We tried to get them to get her to a mental health facility. They said, "Well, she's in her right to kick you out. She's in her right to be physical with you to get right. >> Get you out of her." >> So I um So we leave. We leave. Uh and they say, "Nope, we can't bake her act cuz she's not harming anyone. She's not harming herself." Okay. So, the best thing we have to do now is wait through Sunday. Now, Monday, we thought the courthouse was open. We were going to go petition the judge because she is delusional. She's handing out Yes. She's handing out $50,000 checks to strangers on the street. She came here, made a ruckus, probably didn't pay her bill, wasn't paying attention to the rules, was inviting everybody in their uncle to come live with her on campus and creating havoc. So, they kicked her out, rightly so. But she needs help. And so, okay, we go Monday to the courthouse this morning. They're closed. Can't get it. >> Is this a substance thing? Is this >> It's not a substance thing. It's a mental health thing. >> Is she diagnosed with anything? >> She's not diagnosed with anything. >> Never been seen. >> Uh, I don't know. She's my older sister. She's 70. I'm 55. But we do have a manic depressive brother who is deceased since 2017. We have another manic depressive sister who's more on the depressed side. Um, and and I've never seen Germaine like this. Germaine is loving and beautiful and like very eccentric, but she is never rude. She's never sworn. She has sworn more in 5 minutes than she's ever sworn in her whole life. This is not my sister. She's having a mental health breakdown. She's having a psychotic break and she needs help. And I know she's going to have to pay for what she did as far as the money and and hitting people, but she needs she needs mental health more than she needs to go to jail. But she does have to go to jail probably. But whatever what I'm saying is she needs to get help. >> Okay? That's why I'm standing here talking to you to get some background so that we can determine what >> what may benefit her. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Now, if there I I don't even know what happened. I was the last one to walk in. >> Apparently, she assaulted someone. I didn't see that. >> We'll get into that. I just want to know what it is that we're dealing with. >> She rambled her way in here. She She was >> No, that's okay. I want to know specifically with her what's going on. Okay. >> After hearing her sister's concerns, it was finally time for the officers to come face to face with the rich Karen herself. A woman who genuinely believed she could bully anyone, including the police. But this time around, she was about to learn a very hard lesson about power, money, and picking the wrong victims to intimidate. Hi. Hi. >> Listen, you don't have to wait until he comes. >> Well, you don't tell me what to do now. Doesn't work. >> Okay. You call somebody higher. >> I'm not in violation of anything. How can you arrest me? >> SO, >> THEY DON'T HAVE A CHOICE OF NOT HAVING YOU HERE ON the property. >> I suggest you not screaming. >> Okay. Please. >> I will not leave. >> All right. I'm gone. Last time we dealt with her, I wanted to take her to jail. You guys, I will take her to Thank you. You good? Yeah. >> Yeah. Let's go. >> Okay. Here's the deal. >> NOW YOU GET BRIAN HERE. THAT'S HIS FACILITY. I AM NOT GOING BY HIS ORDERS. >> I asked you to leave your out of here. There's no REASON FOR ME TO LEAVE. >> YOU ARE trespassing on our property. Please. >> I'm going TO THE BATHROOM. YOU GET AWAY from me. IN TURN. >> Get an ambulance. >> Get an ambulance. Get a >> call. CALL AN AMBULANCE. I CAN'T BREATHE. I can't breathe. >> Take a deep breath. Stop yelling. Okay. >> Got a very agitated uh female. I guess >> please help me. I I can go outside THE DOOR. TAKE ME OUT. I NEED SOME HELP. COME ON. I NEED MY HAIR DONE. >> COME ON. >> SIT DOWN. SIT DOWN. >> Sit down. >> Help. I have a RIGHT TO GO OUTSIDE. I HAVE A RIGHT. >> LOOK AT ME. MA'AM, >> NO. LET ME SIT DOWN. >> NOPE. >> IF YOU WANT TO stand up, you can stand up right there. >> I NEED SOME WATER. GET YOUR FOOT OFF MY FOOT. >> MA'AM, COME HELP. PLEASE help me. Help me. Help me. >> All right. Help me. Okay. Help me. Help. Please get them off of me. I'm going to I can't breathe. I can't breathe. And they're here and like this. >> He's kicking me. Okay. >> He's hurting me. He's hurting. >> Nope. >> You guys have handcuffs. Can I move her hair? Can I move her hair for her? Please. Please. It's okay, sweetheart. Please promise me you're going to be calm. Please be calm and they're going to be calm. Sweetheart, they're going to give you help. I need water. I can't give you water so you need some water. >> Please take myself out. I donated $1 million. >> It was painfully obvious she believed that throwing money around or bragging about donations would excuse all her wrongdoing. But she was about to find out the hard way that cash doesn't buy immunity when the law is involved. Well, what about the mental health? >> Okay, so we have the largest mental health facility in the country. >> That'll probably accompany her. >> Okay, but why is that guy so got a heart on for taking her to not listening? I understand kicking though. >> I understand. I understand. Okay, I understand. >> She physically brutally assaulted. >> I understand, but she's not in her right mind. And that doesn't make it okay. I'm just saying that she does need it. >> And that that can accompany her. that can accompany her and the court process afterwards. Maybe a judge will deem it appropriate. Um, >> how would they get a hold of you? >> What's that? >> How do we get a hold of someone to find out where I live in Tennessee? Are you supposed to get our client? >> So, she's going to go to a freestanding emergency room just to get medically evaluated. Then she's going to be transported to the county jail. >> Sandy. >> So, can they follow? >> Probably not a good idea. We're going to have her in our custody and then she's going to go over to the county jail. >> Um, yeah, it sounds like that. Um, I'll gather your information. I'll give you the address and the phone number for our headquarters where the jail's located. Just Yeah, just hang out. Yeah, catch your breath. >> Slow everything down. We'll talk about it. I'll gather your information. I'll get you the information you need to get in touch with her. But it sounds like she's taking the trip to the All right, we're going to get your cuffs off, right? What did I do? I did absolutely >> come inside and grab her left arm, her right arm. >> I can't do it behind my back. >> We're going to get fired. You're going to get sued. You just wait. Another company. >> Get in line. >> We can slide this off. That would be >> I just know when I take this off, that arm is going to be difficult. >> Listen, I can't I'm a fully paid $15,700. I came up. >> They told me I wasn't allowed on the property. >> All right, man. Sit up for a second. We're going to make you more comfortable. Okay, sit up for me. Sit on your butt. >> We're going to see. Swing your legs off. >> There you go. >> Sit up for me. >> Sit up. There you go. >> They I want my $15,700. Really, please. >> Nice. >> There we go. They I want my $15,700 you go get that $15,000 before I go. Okay. Right now you better no. You get my money before I leave. They owe me 15,700. >> Yes. >> Sweetheart, please. >> We're going to give you an IV, >> please. And you know what? I I referred 50 people that are all here in that room. They're making over a million and a half dollars off. >> Ryan was not able to help you. He didn't even come. >> My attorney started talking to the last minute. >> They threw me off the property last week. >> Once the medical evaluation was wrapped up, it was time to give her the executive ride to jail. But her delusions of control and entitlement were far from over. >> There you go. >> Is that okay? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> I'm going to put this right on your lap. >> Thank you. Yeah, that's fine. >> Bye. >> Bye. Thank you. >> Say thank you. You're welcome. >> Now, you're my wonderful witness. Some of those doctors were so stupid. And what can you tell me about that other detective? Pretty stupid. Thank you for being here, Chris. >> You're welcome, sir. >> I want to go to this station cuz I want them to see all the marks on my leg. That guy had no rights. >> Are my sisters going to meet me at the the uh police station? >> Uh afterwards. >> Afterwards. Okay. Yeah, I told him what's going on before we left. >> Okay. And I can call my attorney, right? >> Absolutely. >> Okay. >> I'm not sure how all that works on the inside. I'm just on the outside. >> Okay. >> You can uh >> Well, I'll just I'll be very nice at this place. >> Okay. >> And uh we'll just walk through what we have to and then I'm going to go home. >> Okay. >> And I'm going to go to bed. >> All right. Sounds good. >> And I'm going to get whatever you can give me to just calm down and go to sleep. >> Okay. I must be now a five billionaire. >> What's that? >> I said I must be up to five. Not not a trillion, not a quadrillion. I'm probably up to five whatever it is. Five trillion. >> Whatever more than a trillion. >> Yeah, cuz you know why? I'm going to sue this hospital and I'm going to sue this sheriff's department. >> Okay. And I think that will bring in a lot more money. And then I'm going to build these capacities health centers all over, you know, in every state. And I'm going to uh fund the Hari Krishna with whatever they want because I I donated a million dollars the other day to uh Hari Krishna. And look at all the exciting things that are happening to me all within like two days. So funny. >> In the end, she was charged with battery on an LEO and assault. Then there's former Florida State Representative Michael her. A man who genuinely thought that his past power and political status meant he could get away with just about anything. >> So he hit me. He tried to take my phone away. He's trying to take my phone away again. >> When was all this over? >> I went in and sat down. That was it. He didn't want me to be here. >> There's uh that based on that video, he's alleging that he's the victim of a battery. That video supports allegations of a battery. >> Arrest warrant. >> Okay. Okay. So, what we need to do is we need to take you into custody and bring you over to the jail. >> May the 17th, 2024 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Officers were dispatched to a local restaurant after reports of an ongoing brawl. The individuals involved were later identified as a school board member and former Florida State Representative Michael her, a man who clearly believed his past status still put him above the law. >> You're responding to 911. >> We had two different calls. Are you one of the people that called? >> I'm the one that called 911. >> Okay. What happened? >> Here's what happened. I'll have a video. I'll show you the video. >> So, he hit me. >> He tried to take my phone away. He's trying to take my phone away again. >> Who's holding the phone? Is that you? >> Me holding the phone? Yep. >> Is she still inside? >> Yes, he is. >> And absolutely, I'm the press charges. >> What was all this over? >> I went in and sat down. That was it. He didn't want me to be here. How do you know him? >> He's a He's a lob. He's the guy that got caught up. I'm going to record this because >> it's all recorded. I have a body camera. >> Okay, perfect. So, I walked in, right? Parked my truck, walked in, sat down. I walked into the room. I asked, I said, "Where's the event?" She said, "It was in there." So, I walked in >> and then I saw my corner there, who's a lobbyist who got caught up in an illegal trade investigation and then some other gentleman. So, I was like, "Oh, God." But then I walked in, I shook his hand anyway, shook his hand and said, "Hey, Mike." And then I went and I introduced myself to the other gentleman. I said, "Hello." And then I went and then I was going to go sit down and wait for the event to start at noon. So he says, "Nobody wants you here." And I said, "Mike, there's 400,000 people in this county that don't want somebody who supported the illegal trade in here in this county." >> And then I sat down. I pulled out my camera and I started to record myself to say where I was where I was at, what I was doing. And that's you saw what happened right after that. >> Is there a reason why you think he grabbed your camera? He just didn't want you filming him in here. Is that it? >> I think it doesn't matter. No hands on me. >> No, I understand it. Are you injured at all? Do you need any medical attention? >> No. >> Okay. Where did he grab you? Cuz I mean, I could see the camera, but it's kind of hard to tell. >> He grabbed my shirt. He grabbed me by the collar. So, I pushed his hand off and then he grabbed me by the wrist and then he tried to match the phone. >> All right. Um, let me call one of my supervisors and then I'll go talk to him. Just wait for the other guy to get here. Um, I can give you a statement. >> Have you had issues with this guy personally in the past? He's a super corrupt guy that gets contracts from the city and the county. >> Does he know you though? Like is he Have you met him before? >> Yeah. So, I got He >> I just wasn't sure if it was like like completely >> I took him out of the school district because he was getting $60,000 a year to not do anything in my opinion of course and because how do you have a guy who was supporting the illegal right representing the school district? >> At any point did you touch him, hit him, smack him, push him? >> I shook his hand when I walked in. That was the only time. So you guys spoke before this happened? >> When I walked in, I said, "Hey, I'm John Qu." I said to the other guy and then I shook his hand. That was the only thing I when I sat down, I could tell he was mad. >> After hearing his side of the story, the officer headed inside the restaurant to speak with the former lawmaker who already had his version locked, loaded, and ready to fire. This guy shows up. What's that? just shows up here. He shows up. I didn't mind him. I asked him to leave. He starts cussing at me and he starts videoing me and Salty said, "Don't video me. We need to leave." I called 911 and I walked out here and spoke with the lady. He said, "He's not from this group. Needs to leave." And they don't believe you. >> Would you want a statement for him? >> Sure. >> At least your IDs on you. got in my face that said he was going to kick my ass. You got like his chest got do and he's got his video camera going. >> Absolutely. Yeah, I've got this. Can I just clearly drain acting starts cussing? >> Can you put your hands off? >> I put my hand over his camera and get the camera out of my face. I never struck him. I never for any way. I locked out the video camera. That's battery. That's battery. You're assaulting me like on video. >> The officer let him talk even as the video evidence had quietly torn his story apart. For a moment, he thought that he had fooled the cops, but nothing could have been further from the truth. They weren't new to this game, and they were about to make that very clear. >> He's claiming assault inside just by that video. They're >> He's claiming assault. >> That's what he said. >> If he wants to charge, I'm going to charge. >> There's no way. >> What is he saying happened? He said he just uh blocked the the phone. He never touched anything like that. >> Does that guy want to write a statement? >> Yeah, he's doing it right now. >> We have any witnesses? >> Let's see if there's some severity. >> I looked. I didn't see any. >> I talked to somebody. He said he just seen a >> Well, so this right here is going to Xnate his assault. >> He He's the aggressor in that video. Don't >> you? >> Yeah. So, >> he's a primary attorney. >> He's going to be the suspect on this. >> And he wants to press charges. >> Yeah. >> And this is the attorney general. >> No, I think uh >> he's running for attorney general. >> I don't know who that guy is. He's I asked him who is he or something. Just going to ask a couple questions inside and then should be able to wrap up. Did anyone see what happened? You >> know, at what point I saw you on a video. At what point did you see and come involved? >> When they came out here, I was in my office. They came out here and the guy's like, "I'm calling the police. This guy's bothering me." Which people fool around all the time. So, I kind of thought that's what was going on. Well, then it wasn't. So I went in and he's in there video on his phone. So I just asked him to leave. I mean it's an event and that guy booked our banquet room and so I tried to tell him that you know just we don't need it here on Friday. >> So you just saw the aftermath. You didn't see what they actually >> Do you guys have cameras in the dining room? They don't if you have them they don't work. I mean they work for like looking at you right now but there's no >> Could you show me which table it happened there? >> It's in there. >> Okay. So there's no other even table. No one else even could have seen that. >> All of us heard it cuz we were all right at >> I was in the kitchen but there was a wall with a door block where I could see I could hear it but I couldn't see it. >> Was the room filled at the time? >> There was only three gentlemen there at that time. the one with the camera my corner and then the other gentleman that was on there doing something else. >> Somebody already talked to >> someone already talked about night. >> Okay. All right. Well, what um what do we want to do? >> I want him to leave. >> Okay. So, we can ask him to leave, right? And then if he comes back, I mean, do you want to trespass? >> Trespass doesn't mean he's going to go to jail. It means that it's a warning. >> I don't need to get here. I really don't. >> So, legally, I mean, we're only >> if he if he'll leave now, just done with that. >> I can ask him if he stays there in the parking lot. I mean, there's >> No, he's not off. I mean, this is our thing. He has to leave our property. >> The only way for me to mandate that is if you're willing to have him trespassed because then that gives me some sort of law enforcement. >> As far as I know, if you ask somebody to leave your private business property, they have to leave it. >> The consequence to that would be a trespass. So, I have to be able to warn him that if you don't leave, there will be a consequence. >> Yes, he doesn't need to be out there causing trouble on a Friday. >> So, yes, if he doesn't leave, then we'll trespass. >> Okay. So, it doesn't mean he's going to go to jail cuz that just means that I'm going to tell him you're trespassing the property. You do need to leave now. If you refuse to leave, then you will be arrested if you're willing to prosecute. So, that's what that means. If you don't want to trespass, then he can hang out there and wait for these guys. And >> no, I don't want him hanging out here. As the officers wrapped up the investigation, they approached Michael, who still had plenty to say, completely unaware that the officers already knew the truth and were done entertaining his version of events. >> I'm sorry to have you uh explain it again for the third or fourth time, though. Could you walk me through what happened? >> Yes, sir. I was in an event that I had reserved the room for and put together. Um this gentleman comes in. Um I had asked him to leave. Uh he said, "I don't care what you want." Um I said, "And then he pulled out the video camera and started videoing and insulting me." And I said, "Don't video me." And I put cover on my face, told me he was going to kick my ass. I called 911. I walked out to tell the ladies out here that this guy did not want him here. Uh and then they removed him and I told 911 they didn't need to come because they were he was going out the parking lot. He goes out. He's insulting me the whole time. Got his video camera going and doing the whole thing. >> Okay. Does you have a chance to fill this out? >> Yes, sir. >> Are you wanting to >> I just want him to leave >> prosecute on any uh I mean you're saying that he does what he said. >> If you if you I don't care if you do or don't. If you do, put a check mark in this box. If you don't, a check mark in that box. >> Is he trying to check? >> I can't. You have to just make a decision. At at what point did he say that to you that he was going to kick your ass? >> Probably got on his video camera. Um, >> I do have a couple videos that he sent me and I don't hear that at all. >> That moment, Michael could not believe his eyes nor his ears. The officers had the entire incident on video, but in true Karen fashion, he made one last subtle and desperate attempt to save himself, even as the evidence crushed any hope of escape. >> I can show this to you. an attorney general. Don't me. Do not video me. Do not video me. >> No, I might have cut it off. That's where he he was in my face and said I think the gym would tell you he said that. >> Okay. He edited it, but that's You did say that the gym here. Don't you [ __ ] Don't video me. >> Do not video me. Do not video me. >> Yeah, that's when he told me he was going to get my >> Do you need to amend or change anything on this? >> I'll be right back to fill you in. Is there any other videos in between the one that he grabbed the phone when that one cut off and the start of the other one? Was there anything in between there? >> No. >> No. You say here that uh you said that you would defend yourself. >> Did you use those exact words or was there you remember like what was >> I think I said I'll kick your It's in the video. >> Okay. Is it Can you play that one again? >> I couldn't hear that. >> You think you think the words you said was I'll kick your ass. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. Michael, is it? >> Yes, sir. >> I'm texting my wife. >> No problem. So, just to fill you in, I know far so far is completing the rest of paperwork here. So, you're going to leave with something. Okay. >> So, there's uh that based on that video, he's alleging that he's the victim of a battery. That video supports allegations of a battery. What we're going to do is we're going to file charges in APS and we're going to send it to Stanley. You guys let them decide what they what direction they want to go with it. Okay. You're alleging that you were threatened and assaulted when he said he was going to kick your ass. He did say that. He did tell me that cuz he put in a statement that he uh he put in there the words, "I will defend myself." I said, "Did you use those exact words?" He said, "No, I said I'm going to kick his." So, okay. And I never threatened him. I said I said stop videoing. >> Well, to be frank with you, your action your actions are not appropriate. So, and it does put you as a primary aggressor because you are sitting down and you are not um in fear of being attacked in that moment while he's got a a phone there. And the video shows you starting that as the as the primary aggressor to um shorten the distance and come into his face and then slap that. So, him to defend himself, he would be, you know, that it's a def it's a defense. Is somebody allowed to just video you? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> And especially in a public establishment like this. I mean, if it's your private residence, you can either go inside or something like that, but yeah, they they absolutely can. We deal with that all the time. So, that's what we're going to do. There's no arrests that are being made right now. They're but we're just going to do whatever. >> Is he allowed to tell me he's going to kick my >> I mean in a in a sense if a person feels like they're going to um get attacked and in the I think it would be reasonable then most people would find it reasonable that if you know in that exact situation that happened based on what I saw from the video while you know either two people are sit sitting down talking and one gets up and comes right into the other one's face um I think it would be reasonable that that person would be trying to attack. So if he was to defend himself, it can be reasonable to say that. But that would be for the uh state attorneys to decide and for the a judge and a jury to decide. We did try to determine probable cause here on scene and based on the video that he showed. I do find that there is probable cause that you did touch him against his will which >> I touched his camera >> which he's holding it and he's claiming that you know it was it was it was hitting him that you said he grabbed his wrist. >> I never grabbed his wrist. >> The video doesn't show that. I asked for the cameras in here and they're they not recording in that area. >> I covered the camera cuz I didn't want to be on his video. >> Once the investigation was wrapped up, the officers allowed the two men to go their separate ways, at least for the moment. But the story didn't end there. The very next day, officers went knocking on Michael's door, this time ready to make him face the consequences of his actions. >> Hi, Mr. Horner. >> It's me. >> Uh, it's Sergeant Mann with Sinclair. Would you mind stepping out for me real quick? >> Sure. >> Appreciate it. So, so listen, I tried to give you a call a little bit earlier. >> Okay. >> I don't No, I don't know if you got my voicemail. >> No, sir, I have not. >> No, it was a few hours ago. So, totally honest with you, you have an arrest warrant. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, what we need to do is we need to take you into custody and bring you over to the jail. >> Okay. >> All right. So, the way that the way it's going to work, there's no bond on this right now, but with you going in right now, you'll make initial appearance in the morning rather than if you get picked up in the morning, you might miss it and then you have to do like a full day until you go to IIA because there is no bond on your warrant right now. Does that make sense? >> I don't know how any of that works. >> Okay. You'll be in for less time if you come now rather than tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon or something like that. But I try to give you a call so I could at least, you know, give you the heads up. >> What's he being arrested for? >> Battery on a public official. That's what the warrant is. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Okay. Do I have time? Can I come in and change clothes? And >> can't let can't let you back in the house, but she can give you she can bring uh shoes out for you or you know something like that or another shirt. I'll let you change out. I'll let you change a shirt out here or something. >> I mean, you're welcome to come in the house. >> Yeah. I' I'd rather not. Oh, am I allowed to call my lawyer real quick? >> Well, we'll let you make a call if you just want to have a seat on the >> Okay. Would you bring my cell phone? >> Would you like me to get David? >> Yes. >> Appreciate you being cool. >> Hey, what's going on? >> Jill. >> Hello. They're arrested. >> Hello. So, I'm his brother-in-law. >> Yeah. >> What's going on? >> He's being arrested. >> Why? >> He has a warrant. >> On what charge? >> Battery on a public official. >> So, why in the world are you here at 1:00 a.m. to arrest him on A and B? >> Okay. So, I explained that to him already. I'm actually It's better for him this way. >> Explain that to me. >> Why is it better for him this way? >> Respectfully, I don't need to. I'm I'm dealing with him. Did you bring him? >> So, this is I'm an attorney. This is very unusual. >> Okay. >> To come out and do that. >> If he gets taken tomorrow morning or in the afternoon, he'll turn him in tomorrow morning. >> He misses weekend IAS. >> No, no, we'll turn him Monday morning on an A and B person with no record. >> What I'm trying to explain is that he doesn't have a warrant or he doesn't have a bond on this warrant. So, he has to see a judge, >> right? That's all right. So, >> he'll turn himself in on Monday morning. I've never heard of someone coming out at 1:00 a.m. to arrest someone on a misdemeanor with no record. >> It's not a misdemeanor. It's a felony. It's a felony. Three. >> This is absolutely ridiculous, but okay. I don't know what to do about it. >> I love you. >> We'll see you in the morning. >> I'm not going to help. I'll send you back. >> Oh, yeah. Okay. Okay. All set. Do you need a hand or anything? We we can do it down the street if you prefer. All right. Let's go this way. Like I said, let your head as you go in. All right. In the end, he was charged with battery against an elected official, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace. Just when you thought you had seen all of power drunk Karens, along comes 36-year-old Joshua Martinez, a sergeant son who attacked his own stepmother and brother and turned his rage on a responding officer. >> What's up, man? >> I gave you a concussion. I'm about to give you another one. >> What John? >> No, he can go to the jail. You want that view? >> See you later, Josh. >> On October the 2nd, 2024, officers responded to a residence after reports of a sergeant's belligerent son spiraling out of control. It was alleged that he had assaulted his stepmother and brother and was experiencing a mental health crisis. He felt untouchable and all powerful, but the officers had arrived to put an end to the chaos and shut him down. and Jacob and my other son Joshua who's on the other side of the house with my husband. >> Um and this is Ron. Um >> I'm the stepad. >> Step dad. >> Um we were helping this one of my friends from church. We were helping clean up the yard from the hurricane >> and everything was going pretty good. Um Joshua takes medicine for mental health issues. >> If he who all did he put his hands on? I know ju just you guys. Okay. How's he doing right now, Sergeant? He's He's in his He's in a different >> Is he Is he calmer than his >> Well, he's calm. Yeah, he's calm. He hasn't he hadn't got up from the seat. He's He's not leaving. He says that, you know, he's going to stay here and finish cleaning the yard. >> Okay. >> Uh but he's not leaving any and no one can make him. >> I got just like he told Ron cuz he lives with Ron and he told Ron that when he gets back to the house, it's his house >> and he's out. >> He's he's saying as of right now, he's not going anywhere. >> Uh this isn't their house. This is one of their friends houses that they came to help clean up cuz she's out of town from the storm and everything. That's Sergeant Martinez right there with the troopers. >> Um the one in the black, that's Sergeant Martinez. And then the one in the blue, that's Jacob, Joshua's brother back there. >> Yeah. I think they're saying that he's calmed down a bit. He's just saying he's not going anywhere like at all. Like it's not happening. Yeah. And I And I talked to them about that. I was like, so he he put his hands on >> them both actually. Uh brother and mom. Um, and they're like, "No, we don't we don't want to pursue that. We want seemingly has been he's been doing great up until this morning." >> What sparked it? >> He hears voices in his head. >> This morning he did. >> Well, this morning he did. And specifically, it was his dad's voice. >> Mhm. >> I mean, he hears people's voices that he knows. >> Yeah. >> You know, um, does he have any guns or weapons or anything on him? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> No. I took a I've taken all of his took his cell phone, took his watch, took off. >> Has it calmed down a little bit? >> Given his unstable state of mind, the officers approached with extreme caution. One of the responding officers happened to be an old school friend. So, he tried to talk to him, hoping a familiar face might calm him down. Unfortunately, that hope turned out to be a long stretch. It's >> been a long time since I've seen. It's been a very long time. How you going? >> But he's never ever But he's never been at this. >> Yeah. Okay. No problem. I went to school with him. >> Okay, good. >> So, um, >> are you in good terms with him? >> Mhm. >> You can talk to me? >> I I'll talk where's he at? >> You understand? >> Benn has history with him. So, he's going to go try and talk with him. >> But I say I ain't seen Josh in a good in a good minute. >> So, he doesn't live by himself. He lives with his stepdad and mom. >> Josh, it's David. >> What's up, man? >> I gave you a concussion. I'm about to give you another one. >> What the What the Josh? >> Better get back. >> What the hell is the problem? >> Better get back. >> Josh, >> you better get back. >> What's the problem, >> Josh? Relax. >> Josh, relax. >> Better get back. >> What's the problem, Josh? >> You better get back. >> Relax, Josh. >> Josh, what's the problem? >> You're a Look at you now. You're covered in water. >> What's the problem, Josh? Look. And you brought your little skank friend. >> [ __ ] What's your problem? >> That's your problem. Cuz you got a small and you can't get chicks. So you try to become a cop. >> Yeah. >> What's your problem, though? >> I know you. I know you. I've been knowing you. You a piece of >> Okay. I know you. >> I know you. I've been knowing you. >> Yeah. So this is your goon squad. This is what you brought for me. >> I ain't bring anything. I came back here talk. >> This is This is who you brought for me. He looks like a chomo right there. She looks like a piece of Actually, you're pretty attractive for >> I am a gay. I am a lesbian. You're cool. >> Oh, you are? >> Yeah. >> Lesbians. Gays. >> Hey, did you throw that water at us? >> Sure did. >> All right, go ahead and put your hands behind. >> I ain't putting my hands behind nothing. I'm not I'm not putting my hands behind nothing. I'm not putting my hands behind nothing. >> I don't care if you tase me. Tase me. >> Tase me. I don't want him. So, >> you're good. >> You're on. >> Splashing a can of water on the deputy was just the tip of the iceberg. Joshua was only getting started and he was about to show the officers just how unhinged he really was. >> You don't do is throw water at a cop. You don't throw anything at a cop. You need to relax. >> Come on, Josh. Bro, you ain't got no force on me, bro. I'm not going to play this game. >> We're not playing. >> No, you're going to get tased again. >> I'm not playing these. >> Josh piece of other for >> you just kick him. What the is your problem? Keep walking. >> Don't ever kick a cop. Good job. >> He's got multiple charges. Good job. >> No, he can go to the jails. >> You want that? Go ahead. See you later, Josh. >> Get in the trunk. Josh, >> did you shut it? >> Sorry, I didn't mean to yell. >> No. >> What the hell? >> He's He's not on his meds. >> You throw water at you? Yeah. >> Yeah. He's all wet. >> I don't know if he was just naturally sweaty walking up. >> He's not on his miss. >> Okay. >> Walked up said, "What's up, Josh?" Say, >> "Yeah, >> this is the situation." He's going to get charges today. >> Okay. So, afterwards, I'm going to put have them put in the report that he needs to get evaluated for after he gets released. Okay. >> So, you okay? You okay? You all right? >> Yeah. Eventually, Joshua was charged with domestic battery, resisting and obstructing an officer and two counts of battery on an LEO. Similarly, here's a deputy son whose entitled attitude turned the very officers who'd rescued him after he overdosed in his car into his worst nightmare. >> Don't Don't back up. >> Excuse me. Sorry. No, I'm not trying to hit you, bro. >> Hey, what are you doing? >> Hey, man. Come on. Back up, bro. Back up, bro. Back up, bro. Mark had blood. >> We're starting to get it there for a second. >> Here we go. >> Just keep just keep breathing. >> On July the 5th, 2022 in Savannah, Georgia, officers responded to a distress call reporting a man unconscious inside his vehicle and suffering from a suspected overdose. An encounter that should have ended with gratitude, but instead spiraled into chaos. He's breathing and he's got a pulse. All right, let's get him out of the car and onto the ground. >> Charlie, Quebec, India. >> Hey, man. Were you with him when >> Yeah, he picked me up >> and as we were pulling away, I was telling him he was falling asleep. >> I just steering wheel. I got us right here. >> So, he was driving? >> Yeah, he was driving. >> Okay. Were you with him when he took whatever he took? >> No. >> No. >> Okay. Because it's a medical on my shoe. >> Not right now. >> Okay. >> He's the one the white guy is the one that overdosed in here and the last one can. >> Really? Hey, man. What's your uh cell phone number real quick? >> Do I have to give that to you? Cuz I don't think you guys need to contact me. >> Okay. We're not going to contact you. We're going to write a report about what happened about how we saved your life. >> You can have my name, but I don't think my phone number is no disrespect. So, you're going to have to call someone to come pick you up cuz you're not driving. >> Why can I drive? >> Cuz I just brought you back to life with a narcan. You're under the influence of an or some kind of >> So, you're not driving your vehicle. So, find someone to pick you up cuz I'm towing your vehicle. >> No, it's not getting towed. >> Yes. >> No, it's not getting towed. >> At that moment, he was about to escalate the situation totally out of proportion, turning the very officers who had just brought him back to life into his sworn enemy. >> My phone. I'm getting my phone. Don't me. Don't touch me. Calm down. I'm getting my phone. >> Then sit on your truck. >> Can I get your truck now? Just a minute. >> Excuse me. >> You're going to wait a minute. >> Excuse me. >> I told you you're waiting a minute. >> Don't Don't back up. >> Excuse me. Sorry. No, I'm not trying to hit you, bro. >> No, I'm not trying to hit you, bro. I just don't want nobody touching me. >> You're not going to ball up your fist. >> I didn't ball up my Did I ball up my fist? >> I didn't ball up my fist. >> Where's your phone at? >> I don't have anything on me. Can y'all get off of me? Can y'all get off of me? >> Are you going to relax? >> Can y'all get off? Get off of me. Give me my ID. >> I'm not giving that to you. >> Hey yo, >> can I please get into the car, dude? No, I'm not trying to get in my car. You have my keys. Can I get my damn wallet? You have my keys. >> Listen, you're not getting into the car because we don't know what's inside of it. Right. Listen, in my personal car, I've got two guns. >> That's cool. Your car. >> So, that's right. But that's our assumption right now. So, you're not going to get into the car and rumage around. You can tell us where things are and we'll grab it for you right now. >> Okay. You can continue to lie to us and say you're not under the influence. >> I'm not underneath the influence of anything. >> Narcan doesn't bring you back >> if you're not under the influence. >> I was not out. >> So, keep lying to us. I don't care. Your car is getting towed. >> No, it's not. Somebody's coming to get me right now, man. Come down. You're not towing my car. This isn't my vehicle. You're not towing my car. >> It's in the middle of the roadway and you can't >> You're not towing my car. >> Okay. Keep telling me what I can't do. >> Y'all some bro. >> Man, GIVE ME MY GODDAMN ID. GIVE ME MY CAR. >> HEY, where are you going? >> Hey, what are you doing? >> Hey, man. Come on. Back up, bro. Back up, bro. Back up, bro. >> COME GET ME. COME GET ME. TENSING UP. >> Stop grabbing me. >> All right. All right. I'm sorry. >> PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> ALL RIGHT, MAN. >> All right. >> Stop playing these games. >> I'M NOT TRYING TO PLAY. MA, COME GET ME. STOPING. MY HELP. HELP. SAVANNAH PD. Help me. HELP ME NOW. GET ME UP, BRO. Get me up AND GET MY PHONE. MY HELP. HELP. ALL RIGHT, sit up. >> Can you give me my phone so my mom could get turn around? >> My dad is a correction officer, bro. I'm not going to have his car taken. No, I'm not getting him back, bro. No, bro. >> Please. No. Please. No. I've never been to jail. Please >> sit down in the back of the car. >> Please. I'm just Man, please. Please. Please. >> Take two seconds to breathe. I have anxiety. Please >> just breathe. Breathe in through the nose, out through the mouth. Breathe. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Just breathe. Just don't say anything. Just breathe. Just breathe. Breathe. In through the nose, out through the mouth. In through the nose, out through the mouth. >> Just I have blood. >> We're starting to get it there for a sec. >> There. There we go. >> Just keep Just keep breathing. >> Just keep breathing. >> Plenty of time to talk. >> No, he's not. I don't give a >> Please let me just talk to my mom so you go get >> We'll get to this point, but you need to support folks on breathing. >> OUT OF HERE, BRO. >> HEY. HEY, >> calm down. >> Sit down. Sit down. We are making progress. Sit down. Sit down. >> Deep breath, man. Deep breath. >> Please. >> Listen to me. Listen. You're detained for the way you were acting. Okay. >> Yo, I've never been to jail, bro. I'm not trying to go to jail. Please don't debate. >> You're being detained for the way you were acting towards us, right? >> Come on. Please. I understand, man. Just chill out. I'm just trying to not get my dad in trouble, man. I don't need his car till I don't have $250 more than that. Taking a car out, man. She about to be a Bro, she about to write me a ticket or some other cuz I'm mad. Bro, >> why are you >> Because this is some >> Staying calm was the last thing on his mind. Fueled by pure entitlement, he truly believed he could boss the cops around and get whatever he wanted. But a harsh reality check was fast approaching. >> But let's just call out of courtesy. >> Now, please have these cops. call my mom so I could pick up my dad's truck and pick me up. Please >> relax a second. Okay, first off, these guys came. I understand you're all worked up, but listen, they came and they saved your life. So, show a little gratitude to these guys. All right, maybe you didn't want to live. I don't know. But these guys saved your life any way you look at it, okay? We know that Narcan, the effects afterward have an effect on you that that'll make you get going and but for now, we need you to sit in there. We'll crank the AC and relax. >> I do not want to get in this vehicle. I have anxiety. I've never been a cop car. I don't plan on gaining one today. >> Do you work for the sheriff's department? >> No, my father does. >> Okay. What happened? I don't care about the whole up to where you were uh they found you unresponsive or whatnot. What happened after that? Let these guys do. >> I was trying to get my phone and my stuff. Everybody's looking at me telling me to calm down. How you expect me to calm down when I'm trying to get my You tell me somebody's going to come and tow my car. No. No. Somebody cannot tow my car. I will have somebody here. You just ask somebody. You just ask me to call somebody and have them come here. And then you want to say somebody's going to tow my car and watch me tow your car after you just told me to call somebody to have them come here and pick me up. And my like you just said, whatever they gave me made me a little bit hyper. I'm I apologize for that. And I also have anxiety. So things that happen around me, they tend to they tend to go at me a bit differently than they would a normal person. >> Okay. >> I'm also bipolar. >> All right. Here's the other thing, right? You're in handcuffs for a reason. It has yet to be determined if they're going to press charges and arrest you. >> Press charges for what? >> For obstruction. And I don't know what happened. That's what we're trying to figure out. Okay. So, you're going to sit in there and the AC and we'll figure it out and we'll call your dad. >> I need you to call my mother. My dad's sleeping. >> Just have the to just cancel the toe for now. We'll get someone. >> Me personally, I would call dad. >> Right. That's what he doesn't want us to call. >> I would call dad. >> Yeah. >> I would call the register of that vehicle. Run that back. Run his license. Try to get that. >> I need you to call my mother. My dad is sleeping. >> I don't care. So, you're not going to you're not going to tell us what you need. We're going to call cuz the vehicle is registered to your father. This is Sergeant Elbert, Savannah Police Department. How are you? >> Okay, sir. How are you? >> Uh, not too bad. You work for the sheriff's department? >> Yes, sir. >> So, we got a call from some somebody called in saying that uh your son, well, we found out it was your son was overdosing on in your truck. Our officers came here and found him unresponsive and gave him Narcan and saved his life. He got disorderly with our officers and uh they had to use minor force in order to put him in handcuffs because he was acting a fool. We're calling you out of the courtesy to uh come over to the scene, pick up your truck so we don't have to tow it. And you could probably bring your son home, too. But even though he's going to be charged with uh disorderly conduct and arrested for a misdemeanor offense, but as you know, you guys don't take misdemeanor at the jail. So, he's going to be he's going to be released on subpoena. >> Did they ever put shot? Yeah, y'all did that in training, but they only did it for like 5 minutes, right? Put y'all in cups. >> How was it? You get mace, too. Fun time. >> Nobody put you in those handcuffs but yourself. Your >> action took them off your hip. Put them on. Your actions put you in those handcuffs. >> But that wasn't logical what you just said. In the end, he was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.
