my >> Write the plane down. I don't give a It's about a mouse crossing a street and it had a blue uniform on. Write the plane. >> Karen's a loud, entitled, and exhausting. But what happens when an oversmart knowit all Karen talks so much that it backfires and lands them in jail? >> You hit me. you. >> He what? >> He left something on the airplane. So, that's what we're waiting on. >> Very intoxicated and forgets lots of stuff. >> Jeremy, I got this one. >> Here are some incidents when knowit all Karens talk themselves to jail. Starting off with Ida and Lorenzo, a 48-year-old know-it-all Karen who picked a fight with a group of teenagers at a restaurant, harassed them, and quite literally talked herself into handcuffs. We could see. Yeah, exactly. We could see [music] pubic hair, skin, and everything. Like, honestly, >> reached her hands, her cold hands, went up my skirt, and I felt her hands up my skirt and then I felt like a tug. Here's this woman, I don't know, who just came up and touched my bare butt. I actually thought she was high school. >> On April the 20th, 2024, inside Sakura Japanese Steakhouse in St. George, Utah. A crowded pre-spring formal dinner took a shocking turn when a 48-year-old woman, later identified as Ida Anne Lorenzo, confronted a group of teenage girls waiting to [music] be seated. >> I happen to work for the state. And if I have to watch your cheeks hanging out again, I will call CPS. >> Over 18. She is 19 years old. You don't get to touch. You get to touch. You don't get to touch. Then >> don't look. >> Why are you So why are you The next day, the Karen, who was also an employee of the Utah Attorney General's office, went to the St. George Police Department on her own, filing a report that framed herself as the victim and claimed that she was acting to protect children. She clearly had a very self-righteous attitude, but it hadn't gotten her into any trouble yet, but it was certain too soon enough. >> We were at a restaurant yesterday. I was sitting with a 10-year-old sitting on my right hand [music] side. A bunch of girls walk in. Their skirts were so short that as we're standing there, I see the 10-year-old pointing to one of them and you could see her entire and the butt cheeks and everything hanging out. And immediately I was like, "Oh my god, that is completely inappropriate. [music] We do not need to be sitting at a restaurant having a 10-year-old look at someone's private part." They were saying that this particular group of girls, they're called the SL squad, and they were just bullies. [music] They bullied everybody around them. And in my opinion, if [music] 17-year-olds that are going to high school ball are sitting there calling them bullies and they're known and labeled as the stripper squad, in my opinion, they're fully aware that the behavior is [music] not okay. >> Hello. Are you it? >> Yes. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> Good. >> Good to meet you. >> So, the these little girls have continued to incite a mob and I've been harassed all day. Not only did you take it, they took it down from St. George post and her Facebook, but now she put it on Instagram and now she put it on Tik Tok. >> Like at some point [music] something needs to be done. It needs to be stopped. And they have a reputation for doing this, which is why none of the minor kids wanted to get up and say anything. And so, um, I don't >> The video she posted has currently reached 517,000 views. >> Dale. >> Yeah. And you're you're telling me that she was not wearing any underwear >> as we could see. Yeah, exactly. We could see >> pubic hair, skin, and everything like honestly. >> Are you seeing the opening? >> Yes, because we were actually seated and she was standing up and she was at a high. >> So you So you were under her >> due to the shortness of her skirt, it was like this and you could see everything open. Not only were there minors involved that were all seated around me, but my son was present as well. That's the only reason why I was like, "Listen, you know, you're hanging out in front of minors. That's not something that [music] you should take lightly." Well, just contact your employers, let them know the situation and that they might be getting >> Well, I talked to one of the attorneys and they're like if Well, I I talked to my my boss and she was like, "If she actually was showing her body part, she's going to get charged." >> Later that day, 19-year-old Avery Lloyd, the young woman whose skirt had been tugged, arrived at the police station with friends as the story began to unravel. She came up, reached her hands, her cold hands, went up my skirt, and I felt her hands up my skirt. And then I felt like a tug. And like my skirt doesn't go down much farther. Like it's not that short of a skirt. And so I felt this tug and I like whip around me. It's one of my friends or something. And I'm just kind of standing there in shock cuz I'm like, "Here's this woman, I don't know, who just came up and touched my bare butt. Like I have no clue who this is." So I stood behind her and I was like go like this with my clothing and I was like you know you should probably cover up. And then at that point she turned and she was like like that. And as you can see they were m rushing at me as I was trying to stand behind her to cover her butt. >> She does that and then she says, "You're underage. You should probably hide that. If you think I'm underage, why are you touching a minor at all? Especially if you think I don't have underwear on." >> Yeah. The logic wasn't there. >> No. And then she came back up a second time after Avery came up. We our other friend Avery, fun fact, same name. She was standing right next to her. And the second time she came up, she touched both their hips and squeezed them like pinched us and said she was going to call child protective services if we didn't if she was on video. >> I saw I saw the video and I think 57,000 other people saw it, too. >> What did she say exactly? Because the video doesn't it's it's >> bits and pieces, but she did she identify who she was. She just said, "I work for this state and hold on ID and it just send her name." >> So she gave you that. >> We didn't find it. We posted all >> and she was like, "I work for this state. You guys are all done." Like I'm calling the cops and CPS. >> But that wasn't all. As more witnesses came forward and their statements completely flipped the story as question marks began to appear on Ida herself. One of our friends that was at the birthday dinner with us after that happened, she sent the video to her mom and her mom was like, "No way. That lady was at the brewery less than an hour hour ago scene." And so then she showed up there and when she was looking at us like her eyes like she wouldn't look at anybody in the eyes when she was talking like she just did not seem >> I got an a standing ovation from everyone that was seating behind me. That's totally beside the point >> cover. But because of the sensitivity of the nature [music] and everyone thought she was a minor because she did look like a minor and there was a ton of kids. It was the high school ball. >> Did you think she was a minor? [music] >> Yes, I did. I actually thought she was and that's why I was like, >> I just don't understand why you went up and touched her. [music] >> As investigators pieced together the timeline, one thing became clear. No crime existed until Ida created one herself. A single devastating contradiction [music] turned the case and the holier than thou Karen talked herself into an even worse position. >> I had my concerns from the get-go and and I'm going to just be straight up with you because this is kind of where we're at. You said you talked to her first, >> right? I was trying to talk to her. Yes. >> After you pulled her skirt. >> Well, I Yeah, I covered her ass. >> Do you understand how how a reasonable person would be like I was just touched? >> No. No. no conversation before that and then she I didn't ask >> I actually thought she was a high school that's worse >> the rest of all the >> it's worse that makes it worse for me I don't like that you mentioned that you saw this girl's opening pubic hair all of the above >> y >> the girl has sent me a video of her of her twirling in that skirt [music] photos of the skirt she was wearing underwear and shorts underneath her underwear >> do you want me to put out there into the whole world that I saw her vagina Yeah. >> I don't want you to touch your first. How much did you drink that night? >> I actually hadn't been drinking. >> You were not drinking at all? >> No, not before that. >> Not before. It was after >> it. Right. We had dinner. We actually sat down and we had dinner. >> You don't think alcohol is impairing your judgment for this? >> No. >> And when you're saying I work for the state, I'm this and that. I'll do this. I that you're airing out that for you got to be held to a little higher standard like me. The hardest part for me with this is I understand your concerns as maybe a mother and as a community citizen. I get that. But >> not to mention that >> you took action on this. There was no incident. [music] You created it. You put it into action. The consequences of your actions have been all of this. This is nothing to do with them. Today you're going to be placed under arrest for battery. Okay. So that's the unfortunate side of all this. >> You're arresting me? >> Yeah. Right now you are under arrest. Okay. So if you just face my sergeant and put your hands behind your desk. >> Ida and Lorenzo was being placed [music] under arrest for inappropriate battery. Here's a drunk airport Karen who believed everyone was out to get him as his violent behavior quickly spiraled into absolute chaos. >> [ __ ] sick. >> That's all I wanted. >> This is going to go south really fast. Get your on that train right now. >> Help me. Help me. >> We're here to help you and and you turned this into a nightmare. On the 22nd of December 2022 in Tampa, Florida, airport officers encountered a visibly intoxicated traveler from Missouri who seemed disoriented [music] after his flight. They were called not for a crime, but to help find his luggage and escort him out. But considering we're dealing with a male arrogant [music] Karen, it was sure that this situation wasn't going to remain calm for long. >> I don't know what else to say. >> Well, let's see what happens when she gets back. Hopefully she's got your bag and then you hop on your Uber and get to going. >> That's gonna >> You know I didn't have on my bag, right? >> We just We just wanted you to get >> besides my shooters. >> Yeah. >> You You already saw that on the cam. >> No, >> you you can't. That was at the other airport. >> Wait, were you Were y'all staying in there? >> What are you talking about? >> We are here cuz you keep Wait a minute. What? Why are you >> You couldn't even have a cigarette. >> Like I'm leaveing cigarette. >> That's all I wanted. >> I want to shut the head and get a cigarette. >> Just calm down. >> Give me Give me >> As soon as we get your bag, >> right? Cuz then if you don't have your bag, >> I have my two other shooters. >> Cuz I still have leftovers. >> I do have leftover. shooters. >> Okay. >> Can you go ahead and take me so I can go as a guest? >> Yeah, you should. Okay. Okay. Well, let's let's wait on her >> so you can clear me. >> Okay. >> Cuz Hey, cuz my dad is going to ask you. >> All right. I'm not going to say a word. I'm clear. >> All right. I'll I'll tell dad you are good to go. Is dad coming to get you or I thought you said Uber is coming to get you. >> Where are we? >> In Tampa, Florida. >> Dad is not coming. >> Uber's coming. >> Can I have those shots? >> I'm not going to take them from you. No, I'm saying can you tell dad? I didn't know you knew my dad. >> I don't know your dad. [music] >> What is your name? >> We're all good. I'm Mike. >> Mike. >> Fine. >> Yep. >> What's your license? >> Ruiz. >> Are you taking over? >> At this point, the officers were beginning to realize that something was off about the traveler. Perhaps he was really high on some substance or had a little more booze than he could handle. >> Well, I don't I don't like >> We're waiting. Um, she's checking cuz I think he left something on the airplane. >> He what? >> He left something on the airplane. Okay. >> So, that's what we're waiting on. >> Whoever is very intoxicated and forgets lots of stuff. >> Whoever the people like, we don't like our current sheriff. >> Okay. >> So, it is kind of like >> we don't work for the sheriff. So, we don't know what he's like. >> We don't like our current sheriff all the time. >> I'm sure you've seen Dutton. >> And I'm not threatening any of that. >> I just love uh Kevin Coser's new show. It's pretty bad. [laughter] But that's it. That's all I have to say. >> He kept trying No, no, he's here from Missouri. He kept trying to go the wrong way of TSA and that's what caught my eye and then the TSA guy walked him down here cuz he said he forgot the uh um something on the plane. So, the lady's actually down there looking on the plane right now. >> Mike. >> Okay. Okay. >> Very nice. >> This is This is Gary. >> Gary, >> what's up, brother? How you doing? >> It's very nice to meet you. >> All right. Just give us a second. We're going to get your stuff. >> Y >> Don't you want your backpack? You want to go look? >> Yeah, >> I'm right there with you. >> There you go. >> Are you there? >> You got somebody coming to pick him up? >> Uh, an Uber. >> So, I just want to make sure we talk. >> You here to visit somebody in Tampa? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Just my brother. I've never been down here before. That's >> good, man. Good. I hope you enjoy it. >> That's why I was asking. Is there anything we need to do while I'm down here? >> Busch Gardens. Pretty cool. Um, >> yeah. Oh, is that uh there's some flowers and stuff? >> No, no, no. It's got uh roller coasters and stuff. It's pretty >> I'm cool with that cuz I I live in Missouri. So, >> okay. Yeah, it's good stuff. >> Do you have a suitcase? >> Did you have a suitcase? >> Yeah, I have a carry-on suitcase. It's um like it starts with this. See, >> we couldn't bring it up here due to security issues. Um so, it will be in the baggage. >> All right, we'll take them. Okay. All right. All right, we'll take you to where it's at. It's where all the It's where all the bags are. >> Clayton, come on. >> Clayton, come on. >> Let's go, man. >> Yeah. >> We're just taking you there. We're not touching it. I just want to >> It'll be only [music] >> It's already gone. >> When you go downstairs, >> it's already gone. They already put it on the container. >> But you heard what I said, though. So far so good. He had barely managed to stay [music] out of trouble, but with an attitude like his, it was only a matter of time before he did something stupid enough to buy him [music] a good pair of some governmentisssued bracelet. >> Actually, Dude, what happened to all my baggage? So, >> it'll be here. Where's >> your baggage? >> It's going to be over here. >> That's where we're going. >> You really think they're not going to scramble through within two hours because I didn't do anything wrong? >> Yeah, you're good. >> Clayton, come on. No, >> we're going to miss we're going to miss the train. >> Nope. >> Clayton, this is going to go south really fast. >> Get your ass on that train right now. >> You saw Gary. [music] >> I'm refusing. I'm refusing. >> Okay. >> Hey, man. We're trying to get you to your stuff. >> Your stuff's going to disappear. Your cigarettes are going to disappear. >> I don't care. >> It's all over here. >> No, I didn't do anything wrong. >> Nobody said I didn't do anything. Leave me alone. Let me go on my flight. Leave me alone. You already went on your flight. >> Call my brother. >> No, call him. We're trying to help you. You understand that? >> We just got a 911 call. >> Oh, now all of a sudden you're being nice. >> I wasn't mean to you. Who's being mean to you? >> I didn't say you were. >> Oh, yeah. >> No, we're trying to help you, man. Your all your stuff all your stuff, your your luggage and everything is over here. That's where we're trying to get you over there to get your stuff so you can have your cigarette. What followed was the turning point as a Karen suddenly lashed out, instantly transforming a welfare interaction into an enforcement situation. >> I'm staying down. You You hit me. YOU HELP ME. HELP ME. >> It's all right. We got it. We got black slide over. CL, you know I'm not a violent person. Clayton, these people are dirty officers and they're going to kill me. Please, God, help me. Please God, >> just hold on to it for a minute. >> Please God, they're hurting me. [screaming] >> Man, I thought they were lying, but they're >> We're trying to help you this whole time. >> You're acting crazy. >> Slide over. >> Put your hand behind your back now. >> Now. Put it behind your back now. >> Enough. All of this for nothing. You know, all of this, you were here to help you and and you turned this into a nightmare. >> You know that are closing. Please wait for the next train. Do not enter the door. >> Okay, you guys wouldn't have to hurt. >> Come here. >> You don't have to hurt me anymore. >> Nobody's hurting you. Nobody's hurting you. >> You drugg me up after a bull. >> When I flippy, you lay flat. How about I just get >> lay flat. There you go. >> You already beat me to death. >> Just lay flat. >> You already heard me. >> Lay flat. Relax. >> You, man. >> Relax. >> You already heard me. >> Relax. >> You man. >> Relax. >> You already heard me. >> Relax. >> I didn't evening do. You're not getting away with this. >> Relax. >> Relax. Y don't get away. >> Get up. >> Are we Gary? I'm on his legs. >> He's on his legs. >> You can let He get off his legs. >> You sure? >> Yeah. >> I'm so dizzy. That's my blood. >> Me dizzy. >> Get up, honey. >> I lost. This is why I had a call on the phone. Even after being restrained, the Karen kept shouting claims of abuse and framing despite repeated attempts to deescalate. But by then it was far too late for arguments a couple times. >> No, he got >> Oh, okay. >> Do you want to take him down the escalator from the elevator to get in a car? Yeah. >> Don't strip nothing on me. >> You [ __ ] me. I got this one. >> Walk. We need to walk >> this way. Gary, walk. >> Get him. Get up. Get up. I'm not going to bring you up. >> Gary, I'll hold him up. >> You understand me? >> Gary. Gary, I'll hold him up. >> Walk. >> Walk. >> Sorry. Did you grab his shoes? I got this. >> No more games, buddy. >> Same thing. More. We're coming down the elevator now. We're going to need a car. >> See, I had I didn't even before I >> which would have kind of screwed you guys up or >> I didn't know that. >> What do you think? >> Yeah. >> No, I don't. >> Cuz you're heading that way. >> You're heading that way. You're heading that way. >> You're heading that way. >> I got him. I got take take his stuff. >> You punch one. >> RESPECT THE GODDAMN COAT. >> YOU PUNCH ONE. >> YEAH, I might punch one. You got to respect the go. >> Yeah. Wait, why don't you back up? >> I got you. Go ahead. >> But I would never turn on a cop. >> Don't kick me again. >> I don't No. >> Yeah. Don't kick me again. >> I don't understand. >> Don't kick me again. I don't ever want to speak. You understand me? >> Yes. >> Yeah. Yours already put on mine. >> That went south quick. Serge, we were good. And it was like signal 20 just turned off. >> The suspect was later charged with battery on a law enforcement officer [music] and disorderly intoxication. Moving on to a loudmouthed know-it-all Karen who believed paying insurance mid traffic stop magically erased the law. >> They're going to tow your car regardless. >> No, they're not. And I'm not standing outside in the rain to talk to you. >> DAMAGE YOUR CAR. IT'S ON YOU. >> What are you doing? >> I know my rights. That's what I'm doing. And if you put my car on this thing, I'mma beat your ass. Don't put thating latch on my car unless y'all want to issue the >> On October the 28th, officers stopped a vehicle for an improper lane change. What they didn't realize was that this wouldn't be a routine stop as they're about to get a surprise from McCarron who strongly believed that she was an encyclopedia of rights and laws. >> Hi. How are you guys doing? >> I'm fine. You >> good. I'm officer Batu, CPD. What's in the bag? >> I'm getting my driver's license. >> Driver's license. Yes. Cuz I seen you behind me when I switched lanes. >> Yeah. So that's the reason for the stop is the lane change. >> That's why I turned my signal on when I changed lane. >> Okay. >> Is that a problem? >> No. >> You said yes. >> I said no. >> Oh, okay. >> Is this your car? >> Yes, sir. >> You got insurance? >> No, I have not paid my insurance this time. >> How long? >> Uh, it's been probably about over 30 days. >> Over 30 days. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Does your passenger have an ID? >> I'm not able to pay my car insurance until the second. >> Until the second. >> On the second. Yes. Okay. >> All right. I'll be right back with you guys. Okay. >> Okay. >> Officer stayed calm and professional, explaining the violation and checking documents as the woman complied. But with a Karen involved, all's well doesn't always end well. >> Sounds good, ma'am. I just want to talk to you out here real quick. >> No problem. >> You walk step back with this officer. She pass me that bag. I got to talk to her about what's in it as all. There any weapons in the car? >> No, sir. >> No. Nothing like that? >> No, sir. >> Okay. I might stand out there with him real quick. Do you have anything on you? >> No, sir. >> You want to sit in my car so you're not out here getting wet? Unless you want to stand out here. >> Either or. It doesn't matter to me. >> Okay. If you want to stand out here, that's fine. Here, just stand at the front of the car. Nope. We're going to look through the bag. Stand at the front. You're saying just the booze. >> Why do you need to look through my bag, though? >> You can't be driving around with open alcohol in the car. >> The bottle hasn't been touched. I said booze in my tray. So, I mean, >> but I could see just when you were fiddling around that it obviously had been drinking out of. >> That bottle hadn't been drinking out of for 2 days. But you're still driving around with it is the problem, right? I just want to make sure there's nothing else in here that you're not supposed to have when you're driving around town. That's all. >> No, I literally just left on the house. So, anything that's in my bag, I have. >> Okay. >> You know, >> that's it. >> Yeah. I haven't touched anything since I've been off work. >> There's no other nothing else in the car? >> No, sir. >> Okay. >> I know you read my name, so it's probably showing up in the system that I have a Floyd license. No, my gun is not in the car. >> I didn't even know you had a Floyd. >> Yes, I do. And it's not my firearm is not in the car. >> Okay. >> So, >> I wasn't even really necessarily worried about >> I'm just informing you because I know it's your job. >> Why don't you take a seat in the car? That way you're not getting stoked. Okay. This won't take too long. >> Nothing in your pockets. >> No, sir. Nothing. You're more than welcome to check me. >> I'm just going to check up the back plane. Or if you want to pull me up in a car. >> Yeah, >> that's fine. Why can't I get in my own car for that? and is I'm going to get him out of the car and we're going to check your car and then we'll get you on your way. >> Oh. >> The situation shifted when the Karen learned that her car would be towed. At which point she lost her cool completely and went off on a ramp. >> You are still not free to leave. >> But I'm not under gets here. You're going to carry me under arrest. No, I'm not because you did not tell me I was under arrest. >> You're going to get three tickets. You're going to be under arrest three times. Can you guys step out here? Here's your bag back and then three tickets. October 28th. >> You don't even have to give me the tickets cuz I'm gonna pay for my car insurance now. >> That doesn't change anything there. >> No, this is stopping you guys from being able to take my car tonight. I have no ride. So, if I have my insurance, then that'll stop you guys from stop taking my car. So, it's not >> Yes, it does. >> So, let's not go down that road, okay? Cuz they're going to tow your car regardless. >> No, they're not. And I'm not standing outside in the rain to talk to you. >> They're going to tow when they're in there. I mean, it's not really going to accomplish anything. >> Yeah, I get that. Hey, what if she refuses to get out of the car for you guys? If she refuses to get out of the car, are you guys just gonna hook up to it or what? >> I can just hook up to it. >> Yeah, >> I back up to it. I need you on her rear bumper so she can't take off. >> All right, great. So, let's explain this to her one more time. >> Listen, the car is getting No, sir. As long as my insurance got paid for, it's paid for. So, therefore, you're not towing my car. >> Driving on the road without insurance. It's getting >> You're still not going to tow my car and I can show you my insurance card. No sir. No, you're not towing my car. >> Everybody out here is going to get soaked because you think that you're going to be able to change. >> What's going to happen to me is y'all going to get sued because I know my rights. This is where y'all fail to realize. Y'all think No, no, sir. No, sir. Y'all think only y'all know y'all rights. Absolutely wrong. I know my rights. He's not towing my car. So, rental, if you put this on the thing, you're going to be sued. So, you might as well just give up on it. >> You might as well get up. Give up on it. damage your car. It's on you. >> What are you doing? >> I know my rights. That's what I'm doing. I know my rights. You're not going to tell me. >> Okay. I'm going to give you one last chance to get out of the car or you're going to jail. >> I'm not going to go to jail because I know my right. So, with that being said, I'm not going to stay out of the rain. We're going to start there. >> Okay. I'm not going to ask you one more time. You either step out of the car and your car is impounded or I'm taking you to jail. >> Y'all got to give me valid proof that my car is going to be impounded or I'm not getting or I'm taking you to jail. What's it going to be? I hope yall ready for this lawsuit. Y'all are okay. >> Looking forward to it. Let's go. >> That's great. Y'all don't necessarily even have you go to jail. This is the last >> I'm going to GET THE OUT MY CAR. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO RUSH ME. >> Get out of the car. >> The is wrong with you >> now. >> The And if you put my car on this thing, I'mma beat your ass. Now, with that being said, I'm out of my car and y'all still don't run. >> Let's go. >> Because I know MY [ __ ] RIGHT. Y'ALL DIDN'T READ ME NO RIGHT, SO THEREFORE I KNOW MINE. >> DO Y'ALL KNOW Y'ALLS? You're not being in. >> Do you know? Exactly. So, with that being said, with that being said, I can show you my [ __ ] insurance card. Insurance is paid for. >> And it was paid before before this [ __ ] tow company got it. >> You already told me that you haven't had insurance for the past 30 days. >> Exactly. But if I just paid for my car insurance because someone helped me pay for my car insurance, >> you can't tow my car. >> At least I was being honest with y'all. So now with that being said, you're just trying TO BE A THAT YOU BARELY GOT that you barely have. No, I'm not done cuz I'm going to reach you right before you caning read me mine. >> Despite being given multiple [music] clear warnings, the arrogant Karen refused to exit the vehicle and continued obstructing the impound. She was not going to let the cops tow vehicle. At least not when she very well knew her rights. >> I'm not. I'ming not. No, I'm not. >> All right, you guys can hook up to it. >> The is to y'all. I know my rights. Okay. >> Don't put that back on my car unless y'all want to issue the >> We're done. The trans. >> No, I'm not. >> Now, >> I'm not your bad now. You're under arrest. I'm going to >> How am I under arrest? And all I do is just turn my car off. >> Stop. If y'all break my arm, I'm screwing y'all. I'm >> stop moving. >> Let me close. He pushed an individual over on the other side of the park and that's when I decided to call. Hit the box over there for one of the light poles. He pulled on the light pole pieces. He punched the inside of the thing over there and he was just kicking and I was trying to stay out of it because he was more targeting than me. >> Did he damage anything in the park here? Nothing in the park. He might have dented the box over by the light pole. >> I can go look at that. >> And then he also pulled on the power lines that were going from the pole to the ground. >> Okay. All right. Perfect. >> He was pre-aggitated and yelling throughout the time he's been here. And I just went over to inform individuals like, "Hey, at 3:30 we're going to be doing the drawing. Does anybody else want to sign up quick?" And he just went off. >> That's Brett, my son's father. You were at my house that day talking to me. >> Okay. He needs help. >> In the end, Brett was charged with felony threats to a law enforcement officer, two counts of bail jumping, misdemeanor resisting an officer, and disorderly conduct. Brett was almost too much to handle for the cops, but he still can't compare to Maria, a hyperaggressive Karen who turned a roommate argument into a police investigation and quite literally talked herself into jail. >> I got Russian. I'm American. I know my rights. >> I don't care if you're American. He >> Well, Russians have different culture than us. Okay. Yeah, I started [ __ ] right in front of him because now >> I can't hear him because you're screaming. >> Please shut up. >> Yep. You're detained. >> If you go inside, you're going to get arrested. Go down here on the sidewalk. Why are you hurting me? >> You're under arrest. >> On February the 24th, 2024, officers responded to a reported disturbance at a shared Airbnb style rental home where multiple roommates were involved in a heated argument. What initially appeared to be a verbal dispute quickly escalated as one woman, Maria, dominated the scene, refusing to let officers investigate. >> Today, I was here visiting inspectors the north William. This is a landlord. >> Hold on a second. Okay, I'm listening to him and I'm listening. >> My story is different. I'm the one that's been here. I've called the police on him before. I'm American. I know my rights. >> I don't care if you're American. He >> Okay. Well, Russians have different culture than us. Okay. Cuz I've spoken to his wife apparently. >> Are you going to let him tell me his side? Then I'll listen to your side. >> His side doesn't matter. This is my case. >> No, I'm pissed. I booked this place for the year. Now I have to move BECAUSE OF THIS GUY. >> SO I'M GONE IN TWO DAYS. >> You don't know that for sure. Okay. We don't know that for sure that you have to move in two days. >> I'm I already got a place. >> That's why he did this because he had his one last chance. >> No, I'm not. >> Are you a roommate or friend or I mean, can you calm her down? >> Yeah. He's going on pressing charges. I don't give them day. s I started the [ __ ] supposed to start at the end. >> Yeah, I started right in front of him because now >> I can't hear him because you're screaming. >> Please shut up. >> As officers tried to separate everyone and take statements, [music] they were repeatedly interrupted by the angry Maria who grew louder, angrier, and more uncooperative. >> I'm officer Kirk. >> Thank you'all. I'm I was instructed to be quiet. >> Okay, so why don't you why don't you talk to me? >> I'm going to be quiet. >> Talk to him now. I can only talk to one person at a time. That's why I asked you not to talk while you try to talk. [music] >> So, this is what's going to happen. We're investigating a disturbance. >> Yeah. >> If you can't allow us to investigate it, I'm going to stick you in the back of a cop car. >> No. I was told that I was >> So, while he's talking to him, >> Yep. [music] You're detained. >> Go inside. You're going to get arrested. Go down here on the sidewalk. >> Why are you hurting me? >> You're under arrest. >> Sir, I got assaulted. [music] >> Okay. You're going to go face down in the dirt here in a second if I'm not doing anything. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay. My hands are behind my back. >> Stop resisting. >> It's come to a disturbance before. Okay. And I called you guys because I wanted you to be aware of what was going on. >> Okay. >> So, today escalated. I'm gone in 4 days. >> How did this guy assault you? >> No, not him. Honey, >> this guy in the house. Are you serious? You don't know what's happening? I didn't because I had half the story from him and you were screwing over. >> Let's do it. Can we come talk to him? >> I need a call. Thank you. Will you come talk to me? >> He will when we're all done. >> Thank y'all. >> He physically hit me in the scared. >> So, you need to [music] follow lawful directions so that we can conduct. >> I think I am, but you're just getting a little spicy. >> I'm a good person. I'm moving as soon as I also have to work in a little bit. Okay. I'm giving you a lawful order to have a seat without touching the charge. >> What charge? Will you talk to me for a minute so that way you can get the actual story? >> Slide your feet in. >> Okay. >> I really want to talk to the officer. >> Slide your feet in. I'm not going to tell you anything. >> Stop. >> Why am I being detained? >> You're under arrest. >> Why? >> Obstruction. >> Once restrained, Maria insisted [music] that she was the victim and demanded answers despite repeated warnings already given. But as officers spoke to witnesses, her story began to fall apart. >> What happened in the house with whoever assaulted you? >> Okay, so that is the landlord. This isn't >> the guy out front. >> He only comes around maybe once every two months. >> Him and his wife own multiple locations. Okay. >> So, there's [music] a house a street over that they own. And because this guy had been so [music] verbally and physically >> I I booked the case till the end of the [music] year and I have to move because of >> if you could still respond. We're not sure yet how we're inside the house. >> All right. Sorry about all that and maybe we can resolve it once she calms down. >> T is now safely on the ground. >> This is who we all live together. >> So this is a Airbnb. We all roommate with each other. So I'm roommate. This is the owner. >> There's another roommate inside that he's sleeping. >> Without arguing with one another, what's what's the issue today? >> So, you have this place for a year. >> I booked it. I booked it. Now, you don't pay for it. You just book it and then I pay for it a few months in advance. It's an Airbnb, right? She has a place a street over. So, when this guy started being physically and verbally, I booked the other [music] place. So, I'm moving in two days. All of a sudden, the guy, that Russian guy is doing a walkth through, and I came out and I told him, I said, "This is you're the reason why I'm moving." And then he got up in my face. I don't care to press charges cuz I'm moving in 2 days. I knew this was going to happen. That's why I called police recently. >> So, who is the guy that assaulted you? Not the landlord. >> No. No. He's very nice. He's just doing a walk through. >> So, who's the guy that assaulted you? >> The black guy. >> Is he your roommate, your boyfriend, your husband? [music] >> How do I do this? What do you mean? >> Well, you'll be going to jail. >> I'm going to jail. >> You have to postponed. >> Yes, ma'am. You're under arrest. That's what that means. I This is my first day of my new job. listening. >> Dude, I'm a waitress at Cracker Barrel. I just >> Tell me what happened with the guy in the house. >> Yes. When he got in my face like he's done before, the reason why I called the police before is because >> he likes to put his finger in my face. And this time it actually hit my hand my face. So that way I that's why I called you guys is because he has to know that he can't do things like that. >> So this is pretty normal. Like >> again, it's just happened before. >> They got into it a while ago and then the cops were called. I came up here to kind of mediate things because I was they started arguing about laundry and then they started yelling and getting into his face. So I was like, "Calm down. Let's calm down." I want you to get my heart. >> I'm not doing anything. >> Turn around. >> I'm not doing anything. >> Turn around. >> I'm not doing anything. >> We're going to walk. >> We're going to walk. >> I know. I'm not going to walk. Why? I wasn't doing anything and I wasn't taking my car. >> You know what I was carrying harass? >> Why? Why? Caress. >> Under arrest because of what? Under arrest because of what? Can you please like take me like this? I was just taking my car. I was just taking my car. Your neighborhood is a You see what he doing to me? Even if he hit me 38. >> I was just picking up my car. Why? I didn't What I did want to personally >> That's what you want to do. >> Yeah. You be putting a lot of force on me. I know that you wasn't One thing was clear, the Karen was arrested simply because she refused to walk away. But the drama was far from over as she began acting up even more inside the processing unit. >> Don't touch me. I'm going to see. Don't. Thank you. Finally, we shake it. Okay. Okay. Yeah. No, no, no. Okay. Okay. Okay. You want to see something else? Belly button. Okay. No. >> Can I have my phone? thought you guys don't tell me why I was arrested. I didn't do anything. He made me to do abortion when I was with him. He called me. Oh my god. I don't have anything for you. Be sure I got a fa. You know my booty. >> Okay, that's fine. You okay? You see >> a Karen was placed under arrest for criminal trespass, failure to obey lawful orders, and resisting during [music] detention. Up next, a pair of couple cars. D'Angelo and his girlfriend Howy walking into a police station and demanding accountability, but their shouting, threats, and refusal to leave ensured that they would not be walking out on their own. >> Not leaving until I make my complaint. Arrest me. >> I'm telling you now. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Put your hands down. >> Don't touch me. Put your hand back. Come on. Come on. COME ON. COME ON. COME ON. WHAT THE GET BACK UP. >> On October the 7th, 2024, inside the Ashrabenan public safety building in Wisconsin, D'Angelo and his girlfriend Howy arrived to file a formal complaint regarding a traffic stop and a newly installed stop sign near their home. Although they appeared polite at first, the officers would soon come to realize that they're one of the most ill-mannered individuals that they would ever come across. >> Hi, how you going? What's going on today? >> Okay. >> Thank you very much. >> What's that? >> Um, will you be able to step in and make a formal complaint >> about >> You did that already, right? >> No, this is another >> You got another police contact or what? >> Whole another situation just with um police contact and um just with regulations being put out I guess on my streets without it being public notice or anything as well. Like I just want to talk about the stop sign that the the recess stop sign that's there. >> Okay. >> Um it wasn't there before and I also talked to Swabard in the city and they said there was no no doicile for a stop sign to be put or even put up. We >> just want to know how the other day he got arrested for supposedly running that stop sign that didn't >> arrested for it. >> Yes, he did. >> Yes, he did. >> Either way, >> arrested is the same thing in the back of it is the same thing. And our lawyer has explained to us that it is the same thing >> under the fact that it was an illegal stop. It was but um >> so how is it that >> stop ran a stop sign that didn't exist and now a stop sign just appears on >> we just want to really make a complaint >> because the chief requested it be put there. >> Why is that? >> So that uh >> there was no there was no there was no regulation there was no regulations or code guidelines or anything. >> Let's go ahead. >> At this point the conversation was beginning to get pretty tense. The couple were a know-it-all type of people and were not prepared in any way to take a no for an answer. >> So I I don't understand why you want to complain about a stop sign >> because of the fact that it was we have recording of who was told to put it there personally. The employees that came >> decided to speak with us personally. >> Okay. >> And they were given instructions on to just randomly come put that stop sign there. [music] Right. Well, >> the chief of the chief of police, my boss directed that be put there so that it felt >> chief of police. your boss. >> Okay. [music] So, is he aware of the arrest and the chain that happened to me? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, he watched the video, correct? >> Correct. Yeah, we both did. >> So, after watching the video on me screaming at your your officers for arresting me for the stop sign that's not apparently there. There's apparently now a recess porta potty stop sign on my street. >> A recess portaotty. >> Yeah, that's what we call them. Um, and cuz instruction we call them like porta potty. They're like porta potty signs. basically little small recess stop signs, playground stop signs like kids at play stop sign. It's not a a legitimate stop sign there. It's literally a >> So you're saying it's not a full size normal stop sign. >> It's literally from here [music] to put there personally by the chief >> and the chief said that it doesn't really make sense to have one dead end have a stop sign and one not have a stop sign. >> There was not one on either of them and I have pictures to prove that. >> Okay. So just like and there's still not one at the other one. So I'm still not understanding how is it that again he left his house at 11:30 at night and was I know that >> I I watched the video. >> So then why is there any confusion about why we're irritated that you guys can just [music] throw up a stop sign now after you stop? >> The village has the right or the ability to put traffic control devices up if they see fit >> and they have the right to just arrest him for making one up. >> I'm not going to argue with you. He was not arrested. Honestly, he probably should have been with the way he was acting. You made threats toward a law enforcement officer, which is a felony. >> Sure. >> It's a felony. >> Mhm. Sure. What What was What was it before? >> So, why didn't he get arrested for that? >> I don't know why. >> Oh, >> but why was I honestly? He probably could have been. >> Why was he in front of my house in the first place? Why did he make the U-turn? Why did you sit in front of my mailbox? Why did he make a U-turn again and pull up behind me again after? >> Because he thought you ran a stop sign. That's why. >> Why was he in front of the house before he even left the driveway? >> I don't know. You see how like there's no there's no type of clarification or any sensible factors once he gets to the point. >> The video shows him driving down the road and making a U-turn. That's what you saw me and you you obviously seen him slow down and you can probably see him jerk on his brakes too. >> Okay. Do you have something new to complain about? >> It's the complaint about the stop sign that wasn't there before. It's an intimidation thing. >> Okay. So, I'm telling you, it's affecting me and my personal and also her. And we've been asking officers to not park on that street and they've been loving it. >> We've also there's also other things that have been going on in your street before that you may not be privy to. Okay. >> Well, they should have privied us to it because Well, that's not my problem because I'm falling under the rest of it and y'all are arresting me for no reason because of >> We [music] didn't arrest you. >> So, >> I don't I don't know what you think that putting somebody in the back of a truck. So the discovery happened my attorney contact you guys already. >> Okay. Is that your the basis of your complaint today is a stop sign? >> Basis of all of it. The harassment that all the police officers in here know what's going on and you guys think it's a [music] but nobody wants to see me outside of a uniform, do they? >> Everything today. Nobody >> and I haven't threatened any officer. You do know that what you're saying right now is going to be news, right? >> Yep. >> And my mood and what I'm saying to you right now makes [music] sense. You're trying to deny the fact that the stop sign is there to regulate me. >> Instead of filing a simple complaint, the couple argued semantics, talking over [music] officers and accusing them of lying and conspiracy, pushing the situation closer and closer to the point of no return. >> So, what was I? Because we're complaining about your chief and your employees and your coming to my address and arresting me, pulling me out of my car, my house, and then harassing me and telling me to go back in my house while my car is parked on the street in front of my address. Now your officer made the mistake. Heed up and he admitted it. Now the stop sign is there after it wasn't. Explain to me why are you and your personal chief taking an executive order to put a stop sign there [music] when it wasn't supposed to be there. So now you guys know what you did after your chief watched the video. After your chief watched the video. Then in a single moment, everything exploded as D'Angelo completely lost control. >> You want to make a complaint? We tried to make a complaint. Tell you how to do that. >> We tried to make complaint with you. So now what we going to do about it? I tried to make a complaint. Right. Hold this. >> Step out. You should have never touched me or my girl you came to complain about your racist ass people and you're mad. You want to turn the lights off on >> I was trying to explain you. >> This is exactly the situation. >> Yeah. Go me. Yeah. Go. >> Both were taken to the ground and restrained as the shouting continued, [music] turning a simple complaint meeting into a full-scale arrest inside the police station. This isn't even the first complaint or the second complaint or the third complaint about Ashwab and they have been harassing [music] the Angelo ever since I've known him and before I've even known him. He's lived here for almost 3 years and this is constant. And I'm here trying to help him [laughter] and we going to help him. And it's like it's like this is a giant nightmare that we can't wake up from. And the people that are supposed to be helping us are the ones who are doing wrong against us. and I don't understand how to make it stop. >> Now we're in here trying to make a complaint about the fact that the stop sign just appeared and he won't even take the time to to to make the complaint for us. He just shut off the lights on us and said, "Get out." >> This isn't acceptable. None of this is acceptable. The fact that I am in handcuffs is not acceptable. The fact that D'Angelo is in handcuffs is unacceptable. All we wanted to do was come in here and make a complaint about the harassment. So, >> okay. Going to jail. >> Okay. So, I'll be transported to >> Yeah. You have a report with her. >> Okay. Um, so you're going to go to jail for >> for disrolling conduct, for resisting and battery to an officer. >> So, that's where we're at right now. He is also going >> Why? What did What did I do to deserve those charges? Tell me what I did to deserve those charges. I've never been arrested before in my entire life. I came in here today to get help to make a complaint and I am in handcuffs now and so is D'Angelo. >> All I can say >> because we asked for help. >> I understand that. So my point of view, all I know is that when I came out, everyone was sprawled on the floor fighting. Okay? So I wasn't there beforehand. All I know is that I helped take you into custody, which is why you're handcuffed. So I don't >> He was being arrested and you interfered [music] with that arrest. You can't do that. Okay. He would have stood there doing nothing. You >> stood there and do nothing while you while you do that to him while you while you both attack him and and put him in cuffs for no reason and tase him for no reason. You're kidding. >> Would you stand there if your wife was being treated like that? Do you think that you would stand there and do nothing? You'd stand there and do nothing. >> That's where we're at right now. Okay. >> What's wrong with you people? [laughter] >> You will have a court date to explain your side of the story. >> What is wrong with you people? Go ahead and stand up. >> D'Angelo was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting an officer, initially facing felony counts, including battery or threat to law enforcement. [music] Hy was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting, and battery on law enforcement. That couple was totally unhinged, but they're still nothing compared to the next guy, Roy Bates, who turned a routine arrest into a full-scale violent standoff that nearly turned No, no, no. Stop room. We're in the front room. >> On January the 4th, 2024, officers went in to arrest Roy Bates for violating an active protection order. What they didn't realize was that this encounter would be anything [music] but routine. >> Oh, this is nasty here, bro. >> It is. Tell you what, this is a dusty. >> No. Hey, would you mind stepping out here and talking with me? Now we'll get that dust on there. >> I understand. What's up, sir? >> So, listen here. Here's why I'm down here. So, my chief actually asked me to come down here. Apparently, the state's attorney's office reviewed a report on you from December 4th, 2023 on a order of protection violation regarding your neighbor. You know anything about that? >> No. >> Okay. Well, apparently he got an order protection on you or at least Are you aware of that? >> Uh, not no. I mean, I I heard, but it's hard to, you know, we're so close, you know. Not yet. No, no, no. [music] Stop. Stop. Stop. Let's see. Okay. >> All right. We We got to talk to you. You going to come out? >> No. You're going to leave me alone. >> Within seconds, verbal resistance turned into an armed standoff [music] as Roy barricaded himself inside. The officers were forced to call in backup as they prepared for stricter measures. >> I did not bother [music] any of you. >> He's at the door now. >> No reason. I did not bother him. I'm trying to work. >> Okay, but listen to You can't use him. Put the weapons down. >> So what? You just came at him with a box cutter at the door. >> Put the weapons down. >> Okay. Here's another entitled Karen who thought the rules did not apply to her until reality hit hard. >> Your ID real quick. >> Um, I don't have to show it to you. >> Now, turn around. Face that way. Face that way. Put your hands behind your back. >> What? >> Don't fight. >> Well, actually, I think you have to call your supervisor. >> This. >> Would you please call your supervisor? >> My bag. >> That guy had no authority, and you don't have the authority to do this either. On the 20th of October 2024, officers responded to a public facility after a report of a woman claiming she had the right to be in a restricted area. The arrival of the police would suggest that the situation would be resolved, but no one was ready for the entitlement showdown they were about to face. It's >> my understanding this gentleman's asked you to leave. Is that a problem? >> I don't think I have to, right? >> Yeah, you do have to. >> Based on what? >> Uh based on this being private property. >> It's not. It's public. >> It's not. This area is clearly fenced in. >> The fence was open so that you could get in >> and um I've worked here on several [music] nights. The security guy knows that I come here and work and it's never been >> it I I I understand that. It might have been okay in the past. I I got it. I got it. >> Thank you. >> So, this isn't like that because this is part of a public park that's open until midnight. So there's a huge difference there. This is outside. I'm not like going into a closed place, right? This is open and there's nothing that says I can't be here. We know it's part of [music] the park. We legitimately >> listen. It's very listen. It's very important >> other parts of >> Okay, it's it's time for you to listen. I've been listening. Now it's time for you to listen. It's very important that you do what I tell you. Her excuse made no sense, but that didn't stop her from standing her ground, unaware she was setting herself up for a reality check that she [music] wouldn't enjoy. >> Now turn around. Face that way. Face that way. And put your hands behind your back. >> Right. >> Don't fight. Do not fight. >> You've been warned multiple times. I've given you multiple chances to leave and you will not do it. >> This gentleman has authority. >> I'm sorry. >> You could have walked away. >> I asked him to call a supervisor. He said that you would call a supervisor. >> And so I was waiting for him to call a supervisor. >> No, you leave when you're told to leave >> or this happens. >> Well, actually, I think you have to call your supervisor. >> This >> Would you please call your supervisor? >> My badge. >> You told me you were going to call your supervisor and I was waiting for you to do that. >> Like I don't like What is wrong with like the way you're acting? Everything could have been fine. >> Why didn't you just call your supervisor? Why did you lie to me and tell me you were going to call your supervisor when you didn't? >> None of that matters. >> Yes, it does matter. You have protocol and you have to follow it. >> Come on. Let's walk. >> Come on. >> We'll get you walk. You don't have permission. >> Come on. Come on. Come on. Be careful going down the stairs, please. We're going through it. So, it's irrelevant. [music] Just walk down the stairs. Come on. >> What's your name? >> Partman. H A R. You should call your supervisor. You promised me you would. >> We're going to the car. >> Told me you were calling supervisor. I would call your supervisor. >> Let's go this way. All right. It's fine. You don't need to. We don't need a supervisor. >> No. >> Yeah, you do. >> We don't. I've [music] been doing this for 10 years. Today is my 10th year. Happy anniversary. >> Thanks. 10th year public land. >> I just need a little change. >> And I have tried [music] three times and I haven't. Well, why would he tell me he's going to >> He's a newer officer. I'm a newer officer and I'm telling you no. >> Yeah, but you arrested me based on something that he said. >> Oh my gosh, there's mosquitoes in here. Let's go this way. >> So that you could arrest me. >> Oh my god. >> Seriously, man. >> This is I'm wild. >> This is way too much. This is You're wild. >> I'm This is way too much throttle. You could have just left. Now, you could have just your supervisor like you said you were going to. I didn't even hear any of that. What was the matter? >> Well, he did and he should have told you. >> You're not the [ __ ] >> Even in the midst of it all, she was convinced that she was in control, leaving officers questioning what was really going on with her. >> You need to asking you to call your supervisor. >> You don't need a supervisor. >> Yes, I do need you to call a supervisor. 21. >> Is that a supervisor? >> No, that's Sunshot. >> That's what? >> That's Sunshot. >> Would you please call your supervisor? >> I don't want to talk to my supervisor. >> I'm searching you. >> I'm not used to people grabbing my boobs. >> And I didn't grab your boobs. I know. Come sit down. This is your words. Thank you. >> Yes. >> God bless America. But soon they'd come to see that this might just be the most unapologetically overconfident woman that they've ever dealt with. >> Hey man, will you give me your name? >> I'd like you to call your supervisor. >> Okay, you have to give me your name. >> If you don't give me your name, I'm going to charge you instruction. >> My name on that ID that you just picked up.
