That was during this whole incident. >> Did you lose the ability to breathe at all during this? No. >> Wait, MY MY BABY'S IN MY BABY. [screaming] >> CUZ HE'S GOT a busted li and he's got some markings on his neck. What happened with that? >> Because I grabbed him. >> So, you're going to be taking a ride with me for simple domestic battery. Okay. So, you're going to go to jail. From manipulative control to almost running their boyfriends over, abusive teen girlfriends terrorize their vulnerable partners. Their love turns sour, believing they can act without consequences. >> There was an officer over at the prison. >> Talking about he has the really fresh scratch marks on his face and on his neck. >> Your statement saying you pushed him, right? >> He has injuries on his face. And then we also had a witness who saw you initiate the contact and push him like you said. Okay. I've never in my life. I've worked in a prison, but I've never been through this. >> Here are moments when teen girlfriends think they're untouchable. >> Starting with 18-year-old Jessica, an girlfriend who attempted to take the life of her boyfriend after a simple argument. >> Yeah, she it looks like she went to hit him in the park. >> So, people are reporting that she tried to pretty much kill you. Okay. I might have accelerated at a faster speed than what I'm saying, but I'm telling you, I was not trying to kill him. I was not trying to scare him. It's not a game to me. >> Yes, sir. >> On December the 5th, 2023, deputies received a call reporting an attempted homicide. They rushed to the scene and began interrogating an eyewitness, unaware that they were about to step into one of those love turned sour situations. Tell him he's sorry right there. >> So, if you could just tell him one more time. I know. >> Yeah. Yeah. I got you. >> Sorry, man. >> No, no, you're good. So, we were at I forget her address. I got her address. I think it's 2003 on the street. We seen the Jeep fly out of the side road here and then went this way. Then she immediately came back this way, went into the park. I heard I heard, "Get the out. Get the out." And then he had from what we seen, he had his hands down, not doing anything. He's like, "Get the [ __ ] out." I don't know if he got out >> like out of the vehicle. >> Out of the vehicle and then they she got out of the park. She stopped. They got out of the car and I don't know if they got an altercation. She got back in the vehicle. He was walking down the road and then I seen her veer off near the white fence down there. I don't know if she hit him or not. >> Like aiming like she was on the road. She was aiming towards the fence. >> She went to the white fence. >> Okay. >> Yeah. She was probably this far off the white fence. >> Okay. >> That white f that white panel probably what two blocks back. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. And then I it looks like somebody either from this side of the road was either helping him. I don't know what was going on, but I seen someone come across probably a guy down there come across and then she literally just sped up, did the U-turn, and then went like 85 milesPH that Yeah, she it looked like she went to hit him in the park coming out and then she when she came down the road, I seen her vehicle do like a direct right into the fence. >> Did she swerve back? >> She swerved back and then came to Uturn left. >> Okay. Now, they clearly had an overview of the situation at hand. So, they turned to the victim to gather as many details as they could to help them get to the bottom of the situation. >> Where was she at now? Where did she go back to? >> Where where did she live? >> Uh, if you guys go down this direction, it's next to Sutton Place. >> Next to Sutton Place. >> Yes. I'm not sure what neighborhood that lives. >> Okay. >> Is it an apartment or is it a house? >> It's a apartment. Apartment. >> You know what apartment you live in? >> No. We've only been doing it for like >> What is she driving? >> Say again. >> What is she driving? >> Uh, just like a sedan sedan. >> So, it is Hickoryol or No, >> I believe that's the name of her. Yeah, we It's only been a couple months, so I don't really know the name. >> Okay. What kind of vehicle does she drive? >> Um, it's it was like a sedan SUV. >> What color? >> Um, I would say maybe No, not not necessarily green. Um, more of like a blue. >> A dark blue. >> And do you know the like the make of the vehicle? Like a Jeep? >> We only been on >> my ID is my my backpack. Can I get it? >> Yes. Am I okay to reach for? >> What's in there? >> No, sir. But I do have uh my my camping on this side. Okay, that's all >> 1086 but 1065 possible tag. I got a Jeep in 2 minutes prior to the call for service. Blue Jeep. >> What is >> Go ahead. >> What's your girlfriend's name? >> 91 Alpha X-ray. >> My girlfriend's name? >> Yeah. >> Jess. >> Jess? What? >> Just Jess. >> You know her last name? >> No. >> [ __ ] ain't going to last longer than two months. You don't know her last name. Yeah, it's only been like a month or two. Let me give you my license. She was just upset. It wasn't >> She said it's dark blue. A dark blue. What you said? >> She was just upset. It's nothing like serious. Um I know from like uh nothing to make it look pretty serious, but um she was just upset. >> So did she run you off the road? Like run off the road to pretend to hit you to scare you? >> She wasn't like she wasn't like literally a Florida deal. We've only been dating for a little bit, but I I know her a little bit. So, like I know she was in China. >> Are you mad you didn't know her last name? >> If that was the case, I think that be a little bit easier. >> Is Jess for her first name? Is her real name like Jessica? >> No, I just call her Jess. >> You don't know her actual name? >> I've I've only known her for too much. We talked on social media. Um, but since I deleted my social media, I only just refer to her as Jess. >> What was her name on social media? >> Um, X Baby something. I don't know. >> It's like Instagram, >> huh? >> Is that like Instagram? >> I think that was her Instagram. >> Perfect. What's What's her phone number? Her phone number 71636. What did you say her Instagram name was? >> X Baby. >> Excuse me. >> Why don't you give me your phone number and I'll find >> my phone number? >> Your girlfriend? >> Yes. Yes, I'm doing that right now. What color hair does she have? >> Uh, brown. >> Uh, guys, my phone's >> I'll hold it on so you can see I didn't power it off or nothing. >> How long you guys been dating? Two months. >> Two months. What >> kind of charger? What is this? What phone is that? iPhone. I got a charger in the car if you want me to put it on there. >> Okay. Hey, >> give me your phone. >> Trying to like follow a report or something. >> Here's the issue, man. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. >> So, people are reporting that she tried to pretty much you. Okay. And we only have your statement, which is I don't think so. And witnesses saying she tried to. So, we need her side or we're going to have to make a decision based on the facts we have at hand. All right. And that may not go as well as people would like. >> Something was clearly not adding up with his story. But while they were trying to power up his phone, they let their curiosity get the better of them. >> You understand? >> Can I ask you a serious question? >> Yes, sir. >> How do you not know her name? >> Say again. >> How do you not know her name? >> Well, we've been talking about a couple months. >> Yeah, a couple months is a long time. >> It's a decent amount of time. >> I referred to her as baby. She I'll be very honest, she called me like dad or daddy. I mean, she didn't really She called me by my name, which is Greg, but very often would I call her by her like her name? >> At what point in your relationship did you think maybe I should probably learn 6 months last name? Did you learn her full name or >> So, we both get a full >> I understand. I'm just saying at what point do you learn >> At what point do you learn full name? >> Do you know her birthday? >> Uh, I know her birthday is in October. October what of what year? >> It's that that I do know about her. Um she has the same birthday as me. So October 24th. >> Of what year? >> Uh that I don't know. >> And how old is she? >> She's 18. >> And how old are you? >> I'm 21. >> So she just turned 18. >> Um I mean October just passed. was born in '05 then. Does that sound right? >> Yeah, I would assume so. >> All right, man. Your phone is looks like you can able to access it. Pull her phone number out of there. 352 718. >> Okay. What' you say her birthday was? >> Uh, October 10th, 24. >> What? October. No, no, October. So, it's 10, 24, and then two. >> Okay. >> While they were still fishing for answers with the help of the victim, some of the officers went over to her apartment to ask her questions, hoping she would tell them the truth about what had happened. But like most aggressive girlfriends who love to think they could be a disturbing menace to their boyfriend and get away with it, she chose to play smart. >> Yes, sir. >> What happened? >> Excuse me. You're Jessica, right? >> Okay. What happened between you driving on Third Street? >> Um, me and my boyfriend just got to I guess you could call an altercation. I just got my stuff back and I just came back home. >> Your boyfriend is >> Gregory. Greg. >> Yes, sir. >> White guy, black guy. >> Black guy. >> Tall. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Where did you guys get into the argument? >> I pulled over into what would you call it? the nature park over there, the bat nature park, >> and I got my belongings back from him and just came back home, waiting for my mom to get back home. >> Okay. >> Was he ever in front of your vehicle when it when you were driving? >> No, sir. I pulled over into the nature park. He met me up over there and then gave me my belongings back and I came back over here. >> He lives right next door in some place Okala. >> Okay. Remember we chose to meet over there to exchange our stuff. I had some of his stuff. He had some of mine. We exchanged our belongings and then went about our ways. >> So you're saying you never tried to run him over or anything like that? >> No sir. I mean we met up over there at the nature park like I said and then I just got back home about 20 minutes ago. >> I don't I don't know where he is but >> Okay. Is the damage to your car is that? >> Well, I just got into an accident about a month ago on the 10th to be exact. I could show you the paperwork and that's what my damage is from. I just got into an accident, but I've already paid off all of that, dealt with that >> and that's what my damage in front of my car is from. Again, I could give you the paperwork to all of that to show you. So, after you guys exchanged property, what happened after that? >> We didn't really exchange words. I got my stuff and I got back in my car and I just left and came back over here and I called my mom and I'm waiting for her to get back home. >> Like I said, if you want to see the paperwork from that, >> I'm not I'm not worried about the crash that happened. I'm worried about what happened tonight cuz we got multiple reports that you were driving erratically. He was in front of your vehicle and you almost hit him. What didn't almost hit him? I We met up in the nature park, like I said, and exchanged our stuff. I perceived it to be somewhat peaceful and just got my stuff and came back home and that was all. >> Did you leave the parking lot driving fast? Like why why would people call in saying that you were >> I mean maybe like I left the parking lot like driving fast, but I mean I stopped at all stop signs and came back home. Like I literally live right around the corner from the park over there and just came back home and that was it. So he was never in front of your vehicle. You never >> drove your vehicle towards >> him on the side of the road. At the moment right now, his car is broken down. Like I mean he has a broken tire, so he doesn't have his car. He was walking on the side of the road. I met him over there, pulled into the side of the parking lot, got my stuff, and just came back home. >> Okay. All right. Give me a couple minutes. >> Do you want me to step outside right now? >> Yeah, if you don't mind. >> Hello. Let me let me call you back. Um, my phone's on the charger right now. >> Say again. >> Yes. Yes, I am. >> Okay. So, they're they're already at the house. >> Is that her? >> Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I have a police officer right here. Yeah. It's It's on 1% of charging right now. I I was I was just going to go for a walk, but um I mean I can meet you over there. >> Who is that? >> Yes, I I could do that after after I'm done talking with the police. >> That her? >> Okay, goodbye. >> Was that her? >> Yes, it was her. >> What did she say? >> She just asked She just said that there's police over there. Um she asked me if I have police over here. She asked me if I could just talk to her whenever she's >> We want to speak to her. That's what we've been trying to tell you. >> Do you want me to bring you guys to her? >> No, I want her Where is she at? >> She's at her house right now at Hickory. >> Reaching out to her boyfriend during the interrogation was one bold move. However, it wasn't about preventing what [music] was coming. They had evidence to prove that she had not been entirely truthful. And just as the facts started rolling out, it became clear to her that she hadn't been so smart all along. >> All right, Jessica. So, How much you had to drink tonight? >> I haven't drank anything tonight, sir. >> I've just had prior experiences with the law before. That's the only reason I'm jumping to conclusions of what's going to happen when I was a minor. I have certain >> things that I dealt with with the law. >> I've dealt with you before. >> I'm sorry. I don't remember you. >> I mean, >> I haven't had anything to drink tonight. I just assumed that because he was reading me my rights that I was about to get arrested. >> See, that's everybody's misconception of them being informed of their rights. you know, doesn't always mean that you're being placed under arrest. It just means that you need to know your rights before we start asking questions. Yes, sir. >> So, based on what I saw out there with your the rubber of the tire still on the on the pavement as well as grass being dug up from where it's at, you know, you're traveling at a high rate of speed. >> I might have got stuck in the grass over there, but I wasn't trying to accelerate at any like high rate speed. I just got out of there and then drove back over here. >> Here's the biggest thing we're trying to figure out. >> Yes, sir. >> We weren't there. All right. But there was people that were there. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. And from their eyes, it didn't look so good. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Now, there's always an explanation for something. Our job is to figure out if you tried to mow him down and murder him or you were just Hold on. Or you were just or you were just pissed off and >> pissed off that he broke up with you and just wanted to scare him a little bit. I wasn't pulling I wasn't trying to scare him or pull down a or do any of the sort. I was I saw him over on the sidewalk and he said to meet him at the nature park over there. But when I saw him before I decided to pull over onto the grass or sidewalk area and just gave him stuff right there and then I made a Uturn and there was a car over there like kind of parked in another van. So I have a moment over there and tried to come back home after I gave him his computer. I didn't even make it to the nature park over there. I was never trying to hit him >> or do anything. >> You've never made it to the nature park? >> No, sir. >> So, what if I was to tell you that his camera was at the nature park? >> Yes, sir. >> You guys were there? >> That's I never made it to the nature park today within the last hour. >> And there's also witnesses saying that you were in the nature park with him. >> I never made it over there. I was literally maybe a street away from the nature park, but I pulled to where you would probably see, if the car's still there, a red car and maybe a van to the side right there. There's a neighbor's house by the nature park, and that's exactly right where I pulled over to give him his computer bag, some clothing, and that was about it. And he gave me all my work paperwork. >> I will tell you, all right, that >> I tend to rely more on window statements than >> people always lie to us. >> Yes, sir. >> So, with that said, >> worst thing you can do >> is lie to us. If you're going to lie to us, you can just turn around, put your hand back. >> I understand. I literally never pulled into the nature park and park. I was there earlier today, maybe about at 2 or 3:00 today, sitting over there. But I'm saying within this hour that I was just dealing with him, I pulled over to the side, gave him his stuff, and that was it. And I'm fully confident in telling you that. And if you were to go look at the cameras over there, I was not over there since about 3 4:00 today. >> But what I mainly have a problem with, >> Yes, sir. >> is with you saying that you were just turning around >> and doing a U-turn driving off the roadway. Yes, sir. >> Okay. >> Is that not legal over there? >> Well, you can't drive on the sidewalk is one thing. That's illegal. >> Okay. >> Okay. Two is the evidence from the roadway means you left the roadway at a pretty decent speed. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. Three. And what he says as well as what a witness says is that he had to jump away from you. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, that's not let me turn around and give him a stop. Like I explained to you before, there's a difference. And this is I mean this is heavily relies on you. >> Yes, sir. Our job is to determine cuz I know you did it. I know I know you turned around and tried to hit him. Okay, there's no disputing that. >> The question I have is did you want to him >> or were you just pissed off at him? >> I wasn't even trying to hit him. >> I wasn't even trying to hit him. I just turned around. I was trying to go back home. >> Were you trying to scare him? >> I wasn't trying to scare him. I get if my tires got stuck in in the grass and I was accelerating to get out and then turned around, but I was not. >> The concrete itself before you left the roadway has tire on it. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> As they urged her to tell the truth, the officers hoped that she would finally oblige. But she had other plans, a plot twist, which she hoped would finally work the magic to get her out of the situation. >> So, that's what I'm getting because it's it's not going to be now is your only time to to provide your statement. to us. All right? Cuz when we finish this investigation and and if it does result in an arrest, a judge is not going to go, "Hey, did you try to kill him or did you try to just scare him?" >> Okay? I'm telling you, I promise I might have accelerated at a faster speed than what I'm saying. But I'm telling you, I was not trying to kill him. I was not trying to scare him. It's not a game to me. I understand that I'm in a car. I was not trying to kill him. I wanted to just give him stuff and we were having an argument and going through some stuff and I wanted to just come back home. I understand. Okay, maybe I was going at a different speed than what I was saying because I pulled over there in the dirt and I get that part. But I'm telling you that I was not trying to kill him. Like I was not trying to murder this man with my car. >> That's not something that I was trying to do. And that I think is a game. >> You drove like 30 ft on the sidewalk. >> I understand that. would have pulled over there and then was parked there talking to him for a second. >> Person would have pulled over and stopped. >> A normal person would have left and then went down the sidewalk. >> I did stop for like at least 5 minutes and sat there and talked. Yes, sir. >> Here's the exact thing. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. A witness saw you. >> Yes, sir. >> A witness that has no clue who you are. >> Yes, sir. >> Saw you head west on the road. >> All right. >> Going that way. >> Going that way. >> The same direction he was walking. >> Okay. >> Leave. Turn around, do a U-turn. Okay, >> now we agree you did that. >> Yes, sir. >> And then >> in a continuous movement >> 512 >> drive on the sidewalk towards him causing him to jump back. The witness >> You mean after I did a Uturn, turn around again and try to came this way, did a U-turn, drove on the sidewalk causing him to move. The witness thought you hit him and then you took off. >> You did not stop. I gave him his stuff and he got his stuff out of the car. >> You can throw it out the window because >> No, sir. He can tell you. I literally just talked to him on the phone when I was talking to you guys over these two over there. I just had him on the phone >> and the witness and him said you were in the park and that's when you gave the stuff back. >> I wasn't in the parking lot at the nature park. I sat there and he got his stuff out of the car. >> Put your hands behind. Yes, sir. >> Place the rest. I don't understand. So who So who's press? >> So who's pressing charges on me? >> The state of Florida. >> How? For what? >> Aggravated. >> But I never ated him. >> You put fear in him. >> How? He didn't say that. >> Yes, he did. >> When? >> When we were speaking to him. >> You just told me that. We just told you what? >> That he didn't press charges on me. >> You put fear into him. He doesn't have to press charges. You guys are dating. That's dating violence. State of Florida's pressing charges against you for aggravated. >> Wasn't trying to kill him. I just wanted to turn around. I didn't know you couldn't make a U-turn there. >> When all was said and done, she was charged with domestic violence and sentenced to 50 days in jail. Just like Jessica, here's the case of Haley Walt, an abusive girlfriend who almost squeezed the life from her boyfriend and blamed it on her temper. >> The scratches on your neck, is that from her children? >> She choked you. >> When I told her I was calling the cops, she said, "Okay, I might as well make it worth it." >> Right now, you're being >> Wait, my baby's in the MY BABY >> BECAUSE I grabbed him. >> You grabbed him around the neck? >> Yeah, I grabbed him. I have a temper. On April the 26th, 2023, officers responded to a residence following reports of an [music] aggravated domestic situation. Upon their arrival, the officers went straight to interrogating the victim, later identified as Joel, ready to put the abusive girlfriend in check. >> She got mad. She put her hands on you. What What do you Can you explain how that happened? >> Well, I called my sister, asked me if she could send me $5, get a gallon of water for the baby. >> And then she My sister sends it to me. And then she's mad because Oh, they keep saying, "Oh, why didn't you get enough?" And she said, "Oh, it makes you look bad." >> Now, cuz she didn't get enough water. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Because they said, "Oh, why didn't you get enough?" >> Okay. >> Oh, it makes you look bad. And she wants to just hit me. >> Where'd she hit you at? >> Okay. Do you need paramedics or anything like that? She hit you with a closed fist or an open fist. >> Close. >> The scratches on your neck. Is that from >> She choked you? >> That was during this whole incident. Did you lose the ability to breathe at all during this? >> No. >> No. But she put her hands around. Did she say anything? >> Go ahead. >> She said anything when she gave up. >> When when I told her I was calling the cops, she said, "Okay, I might as well make it worth it." And then >> Okay. And she's in the RV right now. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Your twomonth-old is in there right now? >> Yeah. >> It's both y'all's kid. >> Yeah. >> Y'all married or no? >> No. >> Okay. Do me a favor. Hang on over here. We're probably going to go over there for now. Okay. With the bruises and scratches that they had seen, they decided to [music] detain his girlfriend before questioning. But true to her words, she was about to make detaining her worthwhile. >> Hey, Miss Haley, step out of the trailer for me. >> Right now, you're being detained. >> Wait, my baby's IN THE HOUSE. MY BABY'S IN THE HOUSE. MY BABY'S [screaming] IN A HOUSE. My baby, >> stop resisting us. >> Stop resisting us. >> My babies now, >> stop resisting my baby. Baby, >> we're not going to let nothing happen to it. >> My baby, please let ME GO. MY MOTHER, PLEASE. >> Give us a second and we will stop resisting us. >> It's going to be bad for you if you don't. >> We're not going to let another calm down. Calm down. We're >> okay. Okay, I get it. >> Do me a favor. As long as she stays calm, I'm going to go get my car. Bring it over. >> Yeah, you got it. >> You guys over here. >> At this point, they knew the only way they could get her to calm down was first to ensure the safety of her kids. And when it came to that, there was only one person they could turn to. >> All right. Um, one of y'all, what's your last name? >> Yo. >> Yo. Okay. >> You need us over here or just him? >> No, just him. >> Um, just one real quick thing. Kids, both y'alls, right? >> Yeah. Okay. >> That I'm that I know of. >> No. Do you know that I know of? >> Are you on the >> Yeah, I'm on the ship. >> Okay. So, since you're technically the legal guardian, legal parent, she is going to be taking a ride with us here in a second. Um once you're done with these fine gentlemen here, I need you to come around there to come get your kids so that way the kid's not by itself in the trailer. Okay. And I'll get the rest of the information from there. >> With the well-being of her children sorted out, they finally had her attention. So, they started to question her. All right. Here. She can just have her have a seat right there for right now. Sit down. >> Sit down. Just sit down. >> Okay. I've already >> Okay, cool. >> Okay. Don't Don't be jumping up on it. >> No, I'm okay. That's You're fine. >> I'm sorry. >> You're fine. >> Okay. Who's Who's the dad? >> Um he's the dead. Okay, >> I'm going to go get him. >> I already told him. Um, just hang out over there. Well, >> actually, do you mind hanging out there real quick to make sure he doesn't walk up here while we're talking? >> That way, you can be here for part of the interview. >> Okay. >> Miss Haley, spell your first name for me. >> It's H L E Y. [snorts] >> H A Y L E Y. >> It's Walters. W A L T E. >> Miss Haley, can you do me a favor? Just take a deep breath in through the nose, out through the mouth. Just keep breathing for me. Okay. >> All right, Miss Haley. So, I got to ask you about everything that happened today. Before I talk to you at all, I have to read your Miranda rightites. Okay. Okay. And um having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me right now about the incident? >> Um we got we got I got aggravated cuz this whole family makes he don't see it and I want him to see like they all talk about him and >> they make you feel like crap. They talk crap about him. >> Yeah. And they make him feel like they he always left out and they always adopt him. Like it's Friday, tomorrow he gets paid. He was just calling for a gallium with water. >> Yeah. >> And then they then they said, "Oh, why you didn't do this? Why you didn't do that?" And I got upset because they do it all the time. And he didn't see why I was upset about why. Okay. >> Cuz it always happens. And I want him to see that. And then and he and then he's like, "Oh, I don't know why you're upset. Just let me be mad. Just let me leave. Just go." And then we obviously we got bigger than what it was. And >> so so what happened? What led Cuz he's got a busted lip and he's got some markings on his neck. What happened with that? >> Because I grabbed him. >> You grabbed him around the neck? >> Yeah, I grabbed him. >> What about the What about the lip? Um, I I probably I probably did probably did >> when I tried to grab him by his shirt, but >> now when you grabbed him around the neck, was that before after he said he was going to call 911? >> He never said he won't find >> Oh, he didn't. >> He never text me. >> So, just you it progressed from a verbal altercation about family issues, which again, I've been there with my me and my wife, and it progressed to the point where >> Yes. >> you guys got physical with each other? >> Yes. The only person that they said, no one even told me they would call the cops. I didn't even know y'all were guys was coming. >> Yeah, he to be fair, he did not call us. >> Yeah, I know. I know he didn't. >> Why? Why'd you put your hands on if if it's a verbal thing between his family, what what caused you to be honest? >> I can't even answer that question. I know most black people sisters say that, but no, >> I I I have a temper really >> and then I and that's why I'm trying to walk away and just ease it away. And then he wanted to talk about it and I didn't want to talk about it and Tyler tried to talk. No, he won't need to get mad. Something stupid. >> So he wanted to talk about you did and you got upset and but I I'm still trying to understand how it >> I and after that I don't know what happened from there was like I >> all right. >> It was a good thing she came clean with her actions. Quite unlike most suspects who never own up to what they had done the first time they questioned but owning up to her actions didn't mean that she was going to be any less entitled. So, you are going to be taking a ride with me for simple matter. Okay. So, you're going to go to jail. All right. I'll let you grab your shoes. I'll make sure the kids taken care of as long as you don't see my baby first, please. >> We're not going back inside the trailer. No. Okay. I can I can have I can have Joel bring her outside. Okay. >> But what we're going to do right now is we're going to have it walk over to my car and have a seat in there. Okay. >> Okay. Here. Do you want Do you want to slip these slides on? >> We're going to walk over to my car. I'm going to walk you around the other side because this is an angle right here. Okay. I just want you to make sure. All right. I'm going to patch you on the back of my hand. Make sure you got nothing hidden on you. Okay. You don't have anything hidden. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> The car for me. >> You're smaller, but if it get the pressure gets too much on your wrist, sit with your back facing that way. Okay. I'm going to crank the AC up. So, take my baby, please. >> Yeah. Okay. We'll bring we'll bring all that. >> I understand. We will. >> Can I take my baby, please? >> Yes. Whenever Whenever Joel comes over here, >> we're not going yet. We're not going yet. Okay. >> I understand. >> Please. >> Haley. Haley, listen to me. I told you you'd see your baby, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm not making a false promise to you. Okay. But I need you to calm down for me. Okay. >> Where are you going? >> He's right here. He's right here. >> Okay. I told him. Yeah. >> Okay. Yeah. I'm going to ask him a question. We can let him come over here. Has she ever ridden the key before? >> No. >> Do you think she has the capability of the kid? >> No. >> Okay. She's wanting to see the kid before she goes. Yeah. I got to figure out fill out some paperwork. So, I'm going to I'm going to let you walk over here with her. I'm going to have you come over here to this side. It's on the other side of the car from her. I'm going to roll the window down. Don't Don't say anything to her. Don't argue with her. Ordinarily, I wouldn't even allow this except for I'm trying to keep her calm. Oh, not her. Her trying to keep her calm. So, do me a favor. When you go over, don't say anything to her. I told her the same thing. She starts arguing, I'm just going to roll the window up and you can walk away. Okay? I do have to fill out some paperwork for you, but I'll get that done after we have you see the kid. Okay? And then if anything, you can get if you can get her back to sleep, go put her back in the thing. Haley, >> Haley, >> no arguing. >> If you don't calm down, I'm not rolling the window down. Haley, fall. Haley, if you don't fall down, I'm not rolling the window down. Okay. I'll let you see your baby, but you're not going to be able to hold your baby. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Now, I'm want Your baby needs some rest. Okay. Baby's going to stay inside the trailer for right now. For a second, she actually thought that requesting to see her baby would remind the officers that she was a nursing mother, perhaps lessen her charges. But little did she know that she was wrong. She was about to find out in the worst way possible. >> So, State of Florida has zero tolerance policy, meaning that if we have allegations of a crime or proof that a crime occurred and we can determine a primary aggressor, that person goes to jail automatically. So, we had a call about a crime occurring. We had physical proof that a crime occurred based off his lip and neck. And I mean the proof you told me that >> Yeah, I did. You did. >> No, you're not you're not a liar. You're not going to, you know, lie about it. But because of that, even if he didn't want to press any charges because the state of Florida has zero tolerance policy, I can arrest you even if he doesn't want you arrested. >> Oh, okay. >> So, it's not necessarily him. It's not necessarily her. It doesn't matter at the end of the day. It don't matter what their opinion is on whether or not you should go to jail. You're going to go to jail either way. >> Okay. Okay. >> Wait, you're not allowed to be? >> No, you'all aren't going to be allowed to have contact and technically you're not allowed to be back here either on your body. >> Not like not like that, but like what about my baby? I'm not allowed to have her at all. I'm sorry. Did you say mom? >> I never said that. >> What do you mean I can't have that? What? >> Okay, Haley, you're getting upset and you're assuming stuff that I didn't get a chance to explain yet. Okay. >> So, he can't make any >> No. Now, that doesn't mean you're not going to be able to see your kid. Okay. What that means is that well, one, you won't be able to come back here. You won't be able to have any contact with him, but after you go to court, you can arrange a child custody, like a child custody thing to where you can, you know, obviously see your kid. >> Child custody thing. I just want to am I allowed to have her back >> unless they're unless the child is removed from you by the state of Florida. Yeah. or unless the judge puts it as part of your conditions, you're allowed to have it, you will be allowed to. >> After he finished talking to her, he went over to the trailer to begin the paperwork with her boyfriend. But before they started, he had one important question to ask the victim. >> You don't even have a picture of your ID, do you? >> What? >> Said the kid's 2 months old. >> Yeah, 3 months. Has she gone checked out for any kind of like postpartum depression or anything like that? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I feel like that might be a little bit of an issue while her emotions are hurt. >> Yeah. >> I'm not a doctor. I'm not an expert, but it happens quite often. All right. >> Can I talk to her, please? >> No. If she's acting like that doing that cuz she thinks I'm going to take the baby. >> I told her over and over again she's not going to do the way she's acting. I'm not going to I shouldn't even honestly she shouldn't have been able to see the two of y'all with the window down. But I wanted to work with her cuz I thought she'd be calm and she just now not been. >> Spell your first name again for me. >> J O E. >> Either one of y'all have like a medical mar or anything? >> No. >> Okay. >> Just just get I'm I'm giving up. >> No. No. Here's one. >> Listen. Listen. Listen to me. You're you're just listen. She's assuming. You're assuming. Just listen. Okay. I'm not worried about that right now. >> I know. >> But I do have to contact the Department of Children and Families, which means we're going to send an investigator out here. >> Clean it up. >> Clean it up. That's all I'm saying. >> Everyone Everyone freaking smokes that crap now. >> Now, is it legal? Some places? Yes. >> Yes. >> No. And if D if DC when DCF shows up, they're going to have they they'll ask you for a piss test. Even if you fought for that's usually don't screw with you too much, okay? >> But be honest with them. Be open with them. Don't lie to them cuz then they could >> the more you >> they could screw you up bad. She's worried about you taking the kid away. They could take the kid away. >> Yeah. >> So here's what I'm going to do. >> She can't break anything anymore. >> Even if she does, it's not going to it. She just doesn't think about it's going to be another charge. Um so essentially what this is, this is a receipt that I turn in, okay? >> That says, "Hey, I provide him with this information. Explain it all to him." Okay. Sorry, my bad. Um it's Marcy's law. Marcy's law is basically your information will be redacted from the report whenever it becomes public record. So are you are you wanting to participate in that? >> Yeah. >> Okay, perfect. And it's not it's not a it's not going to change the outcome of the case either way. >> This is basically the form that says you'd be notified 1 hour prior to her release from Marian County Jail. Okay. >> Um and that's how to apply for an injunction, which I'm going to give you a back paper copy of it. So what I need from you, if you're okay with signing, then your signature right here on this line, and you can use that. You don't have to use your hand. You can literally just use the pen right there. Okay? Okay. Just hold on to the pin. It's right there above that red lettering. And it don't have to be neat or anything either. Just hold on to it. Sorry. Just a couple right there. All right. I'm going to get this back in the car. I'm going to >> I'm not taking the baby. >> I I tried to tell her that already. Joe, listen. I told her multiple times. She ain't listening to me. >> There's no like >> No, I'm going to get you I'm going to get you copies. I'm bring it to you real quick. I want to see my baby tomorrow. I want to see my baby tomorrow. Please give her back to me tomorrow. Hello. Please give her back to me tomorrow. >> Y'all hear this? >> Haley, >> please can you see my baby? >> Haley, you need to calm down. >> I don't care for her to take my baby away from me. your baby. >> Haley, >> HE'S NOT GOING TO GIVE BIRTH TO ME. >> He's not going to give her back to me tomorrow. >> HE'S NOT TAKING AWAY. >> HALEY, if you stop talking, I was going to tell you that he said he's not taking the kid away from you. >> Yeah, but if he let me see her tomorrow. >> I don't know. I don't know if you all are going to be able to see each other tomorrow. You're not going to be contact with him. >> My mom picks her up. >> Then that's something that he'll have to figure out with her. >> Please. >> OKAY. >> HALEY. HALEY. HALEY, stop yelling. Stop. Tomorrow. >> If she was calm with me right there, I'd be 100% okay with it. >> But when people don't call in there, I can't do that. >> I know. >> Okay. I I and I said I work. >> Having seen how bad the situation was between the couple, he felt the need to give the victim advice that could help him handle things before the court made the final decision. Meanwhile, the suspect was experiencing the worst kind of meltdown inside the police vehicle. >> I'm not an unreasonable person. I'll work with you. >> That's why I warned you about that crap in there. >> So, that's got my name and information. That's got the case number. That's how to apply for an injunction. Okay? Part of her bond condition. She's not going to be allowed to come back here. She's not going to be allowed to have contact. She's not going to be able to see you. If you guys are going to arrange anything, contact her mom and arrange it through her mom. Do not let her mom pass messages from her to you cuz that may or may not be a violation depending on what the judge says as far as conditions. >> All right. If you need anything else, give me a call. I'm going to give her a chance to put her feet out willingly and then if not >> your feet. >> I know. I don't want I don't want her to be taken away from me. >> She's not going to be taken away from you. But when you keep kicking on my car, causing damage. >> I don't I want to see here tomorrow. >> I want to see tomorrow. >> Seat belt. >> Yeah, you have seat belts. >> Lean back. >> Can you fix my >> I can't if you lean back. Somebody else got gloves on. >> Yeah, I got gloves on. I'll do it in a second. >> Can I see it hurt tomorrow? >> [crying] >> Please don't laugh. Please don't tear them off. Please. >> You want your hands fixed? You want your hands fixed? >> Yes. I want to turn that way. I want to see her. >> Turn that way. >> I want to see her. [crying and screaming] >> Appreciate it. >> Yep. We're on the way. >> Say what now? We're in Marian County. >> Yep. See, keep your feet up over here. >> Can you unbuckle or no? No, no, you're fine. You're fine. All right. Out this way. In the end, she was booked on battery charges. Just when it seemed that the line of doineering girlfriends had ended, this 20-year-old surfaces, alleging bipolar disorder after a shocking incident with her boyfriend. >> Oh, [ __ ] you. YOU'RE EAGLE BABY. >> I never intended to hurt anybody, but I do have a history like my disorder. >> OH MY GOD, HOW CUTE. ON FEBRUARY THE 5TH, 2023, police officers responded to a residential complex following a 911 call reporting a psychotic ex-girlfriend [music] threatening her ex-boyfriend with a knife. On arrival, they found the ex-boyfriend who had placed the call barricading himself in the bathroom for his own safety. >> Dad, let me in. You can't do this. Why are you making me out to be the bad guy? >> [ __ ] you. YOU'RE [ __ ] EAGLE MATING [ __ ] [ __ ] >> Look at you. Yeah. Can you come in, please? >> What's going on? >> I came home. He came home from work earlier and he's the one that called. I'll be honest. He He tried to throw me out. Is there someone coming in? >> He's the one I called. He tried to throw me out. My name is on the lease, too. Um, I will admit, I got upset. I started throwing stuff around. He was trying to claim that I had a knife pointed at him. There is a knife. I don't It's laying somewhere. I'm not really sure where. It was never pointed at him. I was very upset and I have a history of bipolar disorder and I turned it on myself because I got upset. I was never going to harm anyone, not even me. [laughter and gasps] >> Hit me multiple times. >> He I I didn't hit him. My jaw was the one that was bleeding. >> Right here. Um she trashed my teeth. >> Look at my teeth. My teeth are bleeding. >> I don't know. The woman told you on the phone, but there's a knife on the floor. She had >> I just told him that. >> I I called to have her move cuz she's >> We are both on police. >> Despite several attempts to incriminate her ex-boyfriend and [music] shift blame onto him, the police remained vigilant and were not deceived by her manipulative tactics. >> Tried to leave me after he drained my savings less than a week ago. Basically, it all started last night. Um, we got into an argument. It was about this deep this it tends to come up often the fact that he has a baby mama and he has a child and it gets kind of rough. I mean I'm only 20, he's only 21, you know, they had that baby when they were like 16. So it's a tough situation for a couple double adults and both um and I I'll admit I started trash talking, you know, the whole family, his kids and everything and he got understandably upset. >> So she's saying [music] she did was they were She did have the knife by her side. >> She said that she she didn't shoot at him, but she said basically like if you didn't have your daughter, I would hurt you. >> Something to that effect. >> But I I told him specifically I wouldn't hurt him and I made that clear. >> Oh, really? >> He asked for me to be arrested. want to file any charges against you. >> So what's this? >> Because it's considered a domestic issue. You guys, one of you guys live together. You guys have been in a relationship. >> But he hit me too. I'm confused. >> You attacked him. So we go by primary aggressive. >> You were the one coming after him by by your own statements as well. Statements. Your statement. His statement matched up pretty much perfect. >> But I didn't go after him first. >> Um in the house. >> This is so uncomfortable. Please. [laughter] [gasps] OH MY GOD. PSYCHO CREATURES. >> Are you okay? No, >> you're okay. [laughter] MAYA, >> NO, I'M NOT. I CAN'T DO THIS. PLEASE, I CAN'T DO THIS. [laughter] PLEASE. Please don't do this. >> In the end, she was taken to jail and charged with a Up next is Samantha Khaled, an girlfriend and ex prison officer who went from attacking her boyfriend to professing her undying love for it. >> How'd you get the uh scratch marks on your neck? >> I just have bad itches and me. >> I got you. >> I was an officer over at the prison. I'm sure you see that as a joke. It seems to be scratches. >> They're very obvious scratched ever. Okay. All right. Smith, you are being placed under arrest. Okay. >> Four. >> On February the 22nd, 2025, officers responded to a scene after receiving several reports of a woman physically her boyfriend in public eyes. Frantic eyewitnesses who could only imagine what the victim was suffering behind closed doors started making several 911 reports. When officers arrived, they expected to see a victim who needed saving from hisive girlfriend given the reports that they had gotten. However, the victim's response left a lot to be imagined. I saw you guys when I was over there. >> That's fine. It was you a little bit. Just a disagreement. That's a long day. >> Okay. Who was that? >> Uh, just my girlfriend. She's >> your girlfriend. Okay. >> Yeah. She's just relaxing. Just >> Okay. >> Just a disagreement. That's it. >> Gotcha. Who are you guys arguing about? >> Life. >> Life. Getting a little rough. >> Yeah. >> And who is she to you? >> This is my daughter. >> Your daughter. Nice to meet you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I got you. >> Just waiting on her to finish. >> How'd you get the uh scratch marks on your neck? I just have bad itches and >> I got you. >> They knew he was lying, but what they couldn't understand was why he had tried to cover for his toxic partner. When they turned to question her, it didn't take long for them to get the answer. >> Hi. >> Hello. What is going on? >> No, it's just, you know, it got to a point where it got into a fight. >> Not into a fight. You're okay. It's >> not altercation. It just got to a verbal altercation and I've had enough of it. I told him it's either it needs to stop or you need to go and that's it. >> Okay. What are you guys boyfriend girlfriend or what? >> Who's the other? >> We live together. That's his daughter. She's 15. Her name is Natalie. I have the keys. That's my truck. It's either they need to not they he Okay. She's 15. Yeah. Like >> how long you all been together? >> A year. >> Okay. >> It gets to a point where he needs to figure it out >> or he does not. And he needs to figure out where she goes. >> Okay. >> We have never, and I mean this, never gotten into something like this until now. >> Okay. >> We have figured out anything before. >> What was the argument about today? Like what's >> it was just the fact >> of the matter where he goes or he stays where he stays where I got >> like >> that's it. >> Okay, >> that's it. I understand where Yeah, cuz it was right here. >> I understand that >> and I I apologize. And that is not enough. >> Okay. Do you have your ID on you? >> Yeah, it's >> okay. Stay over here with me. I'll just get your information. Uh I'll write it down here. >> I can get it. I'm not going to >> I still want you to go over there and and and start back up with him. Can Can that not happen? >> If Yes. Okay. >> Yes. Okay. >> I know you don't know me. I can do it. >> I'm going to go with you. Let's get your ID out of the car. >> We'll be fine after all that, but it needs >> it just needs to stop. >> Let's get our ID out of the truck. >> And it's his choice after this. It's his choice. >> No, no, no. >> It's your choice. >> What did I tell you when I said we'd come over and get your ID? >> That's yours. >> All right. Let's go back over here. >> She's just had a long day and she's very stressed. >> Sure. What's she stressed about? >> Money and just life. That's it, man. Just disagreement. She >> She works at a bar, so she had a disagreement with the other bartenders. >> Gotcha. I get to mean my wife works at a bar, too. So, >> you know what I mean. Yep. >> Unfortunate. >> How'd you get all those bruises all over your arm? >> I work at a bar. >> Okay. What bar? >> Pub 100. Yeah. Okay. I'm familiar with >> All right. >> Okay. Let me talk to a partner. I No, no. I got to ask. I just saw you all that kind of stuff. >> It is not. >> I literally slam into my >> Well, do me a favor and just hang out on the porch here. I got to talk to my party. After talking to his partner and comparing the accounts of events of both parties, they decided to interrogate her again. Meanwhile, she had armed herself with a piece of information she believed would give her an edge in the situation. >> I was an officer over at the prison. I'm sure you see that as a joke. Everybody does. I got my shirt. I left. I became a bartender. It makes more money. That's it. Like, I'm just trying to live my life. I love them >> more than anything. Mhm. So what? So you said his insecurities, but fill me in a little bit like what what causes arguments. >> It's just how he is. Like he's been cheated on a 100 times before me. >> And then we have these conversations, not arguments, conversations about the fact >> he feels this way, this way, this way, this way. It's not because of me. >> Real quick, real quick. Talking about he has he really fresh scratch marks on his face and on his neck. >> I never scratched. >> That's what I'm asking you about. I'm just saying like from what you said it seems to be scratches. >> They're very obvious scratched him >> ever. I love him. >> Okay. That's what everybody says about their but I do. I truly love him. >> Sure. And I I'm not doubting you on that at all. >> Okay. I'm just letting you know. >> I love him. >> I love him no matter what. >> But we go through our problems just like every other couple. >> We're getting through it. But at the same time, >> sure. >> It has happened. I'm just letting you know, >> we're okay. >> I got you. Like I said, we have to do our due diligence. Obviously, people called. I saw you guys arguing when I was over there. >> I appreciate you responding to that because you know something, nobody responds anymore from what I've seen. >> Sure. Sure. >> Mind you, I'm not I'm not in your mood. >> I get it. >> From what I've seen, >> that's it. They had given her chance after chance to come clean. But just as she had always done with her boyfriend, she had every one of them. In the end, the officers had no choice but to make their move. >> All right, Samantha, you are being placed under arrest. Okay. >> Four >> domestic domestic violence battery. >> Battery. >> Yes. [laughter] >> I got you. We're going to walk this way. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, here's the deal. You've got plenty of witnesses that called. They saw her give you those scratches. >> No, not at all. >> They saw it happen. That's why we're here. >> I understand. >> In the state of Florida, if we develop probable cause, one party has to be arrested. >> The witnesses saw her put her hands on you. >> She's getting arrested. >> She never put her hands on me, though. >> She did. You can try to defend her all you want. I just let you know I have a witness right here says she never put her hands on me. >> Several witnesses. >> She never put her hand. >> I'm not here. I'm sorry if this seems like a debate. It's not. I'm just telling you what is going on. Okay. >> She never put her hands on me. >> Okay. You have >> This is just >> visible. You have visible injuries all over you. >> Visual argument, man. >> People don't get injuries from verbal arguments. >> She's never done anything wrong in her whole entire life. >> People don't get injuries from verbal arguments. >> She's never done anything wrong. >> Witnesses don't call people for verbal argument. >> They just seen somebody argue. That's all. >> They saw her hit you in the mouth. >> Never hit me in the mouth, man. Never once touched. >> Well, sir, this is what's going on. I'm just here to explain it to you. >> All right. So if she fights it in court and on your body cam, which I verbally stated she never touched me. >> That's your prerogative. We have to make the arrest%. >> Okay. >> It is. It's just >> she never put her hands on. >> You're going to be listed as the victim. So it's it's up to you in the state. >> I go to court and >> it's it's your prerogative. But >> there's no reason for you to arrest her. >> There is that's the part y'all think you're failing to understand is when we have probable cause, we're bound to make an arrest. >> We're done. >> Have a seat. >> If that's how you feel, we're done. >> We'll get the keys. I'm sure any charges. >> Oh my god. I've never been arrested before. >> Ever. >> We assume that role for you. If at a later time you don't want to cooperate with the state, that's on you. But as of right now on the scene, we assume that role for you and the state of Florida makes an arrest on her in domestic cases. That's how this works. >> Talk to her. >> No, sir. You're not allowed to talk to her. >> Can she talk to her? >> No, sir. >> She's not a victim. >> I I'm telling you that no one can talk to her. >> Okay. Okay. >> Yeah, >> we we'll get you some keys. I'd assume you want to drop the dog. >> I have to. >> Please talk to me like what's going to happen. >> I will talk to you in a second. Okay. >> I've never been arrested before. Like I don't even know how this is going to go. Sorry. I don't mean to interrupt you. >> So, the reason the reason you're placed under arrest right now is because we had your statement saying you pushed him, right? >> He had injuries on his face and then we also had a witness who saw you initiate the contact and push him like you said. Okay. >> How does he feel about this? >> He didn't even want to call the cops. He's not very comp. >> I know that. But like I've never been arrested before, ever in my life. >> Mhm. We have to go. The state of Florida takes domestic violence very serious. And if we have the slightest little bit of probable cause, we're making the arrest. Okay. So that's why you're in this position. Okay. >> Can he talk to me? >> Like I'm not over here trying to like do anything. I just can he like >> So right now we're going to keep party separated. Okay. Just because of the nature of the arrest. Okay. We're going to keep party separated. If you feel like you want to contact him later on as long as you're allowed to. >> I don't even know his number by heart. Like he got a new number. I don't Can he talk to me? Like as long as I remain calm. >> Not right now. So not right now. Like I said, just do >> What do I do? Like can you explain to me? >> So you're going to go to the You're going to the Marian County Jail. You're going to be on a no bond until first appearance tomorrow morning. Okay. So you have to wait till >> tomorrow morning. Are you kidding me? I've never been. I have to go to work tomorrow. >> We have to We have a job to do, too. >> Oh my god. Please, can you like I understand this is not >> Samantha. I do have to ask. Do you want him to take the truck or we can ask the business here if they're willing to let it stay parked? >> How does he feel about this? >> I'm not sure how he feels. He's not very helpful on our investigation if I'm being honest. But again, we have we have a third party. Okay. We also have a third party witness. [music] That's why again you're in >> Listen, I'm being cooperative. I I understand. Like I don't know how this works. I just would [music] rather somebody help me, please. >> At this point, the officers were struck by how determined she was to keep her slate clean rather than show any remorse for what she had done. But no matter how hard she tried, nothing could prevent her slate from getting soiled. >> I've never in my life been arrested. I've never had the reason to. Like >> I understand you don't care. Like this is your job. >> It's not that I don't care. It's just I have to be very matter of fact in these situations, okay? And because I have to go off the evidence that we've been provided, okay? Off your testimony, his testimony as well as the third the third party witness. Okay. And his injuries as well. >> I Oh my god. I just Oh. >> So I mean, we're going to head out in just a second. Okay. But again, do you want him to have the truck or No. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I'm going to give him the keys. Is that all right? >> He's okay with me being arrested. >> I don't know necessarily believe he's okay with it. But >> he doesn't have a say. This is the thing you need to understand. >> Stop talking for a second. >> This is what I tried to explain to him and this is what this officer tried to explain to you. In the state of Florida, if probable cause is developed, probable cause means we have injuries, we have accusations, and we have witnesses building up to probable cause. If that is established, even if the victim, which would be him, does not want to press charges, the state of Florida assumes that role and we make an arrest anyway for domestic type of relations. Stop it for one second. The reason that happens is it's very popular in the news right now, the Gabby Patino situation, right? Those officers did not make an arrest. Those officers did not make an arrest on a domestic situation because she did not want to press charges. >> Unfortunately, we see what happens. The state of Florida does not want that to happen. So, even if the victim party in domestic situation says, "I don't want to press charges." We don't care. We have a job to do. They mandate us to make an arrest. We have to make an arrest. That is how this works. >> I'm sorry. Can you explain to me how to go about this from here? I understand that this is not under my control. >> I've never in my life [laughter] been arrested ever in my life. >> Those are my advice to you and me. Okay. >> I'm I'm just so unsure. Yes. 5 months ago. >> Okay. >> We were still living together. Uh it didn't work out. We were just supposed to like be living together until I could um leave and he could take it back here. >> But very emotional. >> Oh god. >> I just caught a DV charge down in North Carolina. >> Oh god. >> I don't want him to get charged down here cuz I don't want him stuck down here. I just want him to go home. >> I get you. >> I'll be right back. >> M everybody. Wow. Did Did anything get physical tonight? Like was he physical with you tonight or >> were you physical? >> If anything, it was really just like >> I can't lie. I usually do be starting it. Like >> Okay. >> I would like get upset and put my hands on. But that's not what happened tonight. Um I actually was just trying to get him away from the apartment because it's not my place, you know, and the people here. I don't know. I can't control what anybody else does where if they feel like threatened or whatever, even if they're I don't want to bring this drama over here in the first place. So, um, >> so this is your brother's apartment? >> This is my friend's. >> Your friends? [music] Okay. >> Well, I don't know. >> No, someone else thought it was your brother. That's all. >> Um, >> okay. So he brought you here to stay >> and he thought he was also staying but >> or [music] that I'm coming back with him and he's back cuz I'm not coming back with him. I'm not leaving unless you come back with and he stay. It's just like >> Okay. >> Neither of those things are happening. >> Okay. So how did you get the mark here? >> Uh I had him. >> Okay. Okay. How did he get a mark like here? >> How did he get a mark here? I'm not staying no more. I don't have a lawyer. Cuz last time I was in North Carolina, as soon as I was like like cuz it was a situation where he was trying to kidnap me for real and he was like, "I'm not leaving unless you smoke with me." And I didn't tell the police cuz I couldn't think straight. And I just like Yeah. >> I get you. So it's not incriminating anything. He's just got a mark here. You've got a mark here. So >> that was earlier. And >> this was from earlier. >> That was earlier on South Hawkins. It was >> I don't know if I got a call if [music] y'all remember that. your dog got that specifically or >> what what time was that? >> This was like earlier when it was still sun out. >> Oh no, no, we were not there. >> Stop. Nobody was there. Nobody showed up, but they said >> Okay. >> What happened in the parking lot then? >> Um he snatched my phone. >> So >> I was walking down. He was at the door. He was like, "Just talk to me. Just talk to me. Just talk to me." I'm like, "No, I don't want to talk to you." So, I kept I walked down the stairs and I went down the stairs and it was on the stairs talking and then it got physical and then um I was just kind of couldn't think straight. So then um he snatched my phone, he grabbed my phone and he ran down three flights of stairs, ran out the door and thought he was trying to hop in the car. So I think I got on top of the car and yeah, from there it was just like a bunch of like It wasn't really fighting. It was just like >> physical struggle. Yeah. >> And then did he take off in the car while you were still on it? >> Uhhuh. >> Okay. >> Yes. I was on top of the car and he was driving. Yeah. >> Did he like like >> I actually run you over like did the tires >> I was on top of the car already >> took off and you fell off? >> No. >> Having heard enough of her excuses, the officer finally broke the bad news that she had been dreading. But just when they least expected it, she swapped her hat for a more dramatic one. So, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but >> you're trying to arrest me. >> Yeah. Go ahead. Just make this easier. All right. Go put your hands behind your back. >> I'm being arrested again. >> Y'all going to charge me with DB? >> Uh, yes, man. >> Oh my god. For hours. >> Can y'all tell them that they're arrest Can y'all tell them that you're arresting me? >> Yeah, I will. In the meantime, let's >> your phone or anything. >> I hope you're happy. Oh my god. >> It's not It's not his decision. >> It's not his decision, dear. >> In the state of Ohio, it's preferred. I mean, regardless regardless if he wanted to pursue charges or not, the same the outcome will be the same. >> Don't Don't [ __ ] alone, bro. >> You talking to me is not going to make me feel better. Like, bro, I didn't even do nothing. Like, he literally snatched my phone. Like he was driving with me on top of the car. >> Did you see his face? Have you seen his face? >> What does that mean? >> He's beat up really bad. >> I did not beat him up. >> You just said you headbutted him. >> I headbutted him because he was restraining me. He stole my phone. >> So So >> he said he sent my money on Cash App to himself. >> I'm sorry. You said you headbutt him because because you stole your phone and then after >> y it's camera it's camera footage. >> Don't >> question and point like why did >> go ahead and stand right here on this. Yeah. >> So spread your feet for me. >> You got it. I'm not trying to fight off. >> Yeah. This your second DV charged with him. [laughter] >> Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Spread your feet. Hey, spread your feet. Spread your feet. >> Okay. Damn. >> Got to listen. Any weapons on you? Spread your feet. >> Spread your feet. Stop. You want to go? >> Do you have any weapons on you? Look like I have >> I'm asking. >> It ain't It ain't about >> Let's find out. >> All right. You have these marks on me. That don't mean nothing. Like I was just bleeding. That don't mean nothing. >> Go ahead. Stand up straight. Stop. Stop doing that. Stop doing that. Stop. Keep your feet spread. What is you doing? >> My feet are spread. God, >> they wasn't. where they are now when you're getting to me. >> Yes, because now I have my foot in between your legs. >> Stop playing with me. >> I'm going to ask you one more time. Nothing on you. No drugs or anything. You take it to county with you and getting out of charge. You understand that? Okay. Go ahead. Take a seat for me. Okay. While sitting in the back of the police vehicle, she lost it completely as her illusion of untouchability came crumbling before her eyes. >> Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. [laughter] [screaming] [screaming] Ready? [laughter] >> All right. [laughter] Go ahead. Step out. >> Some of that stuff. Okay. I got to switch out your cups. Watch your step. [laughter] [laughter] >> [laughter] [screaming] >> In the end, she was indicted with domestic violence. In yet another case of an teenage girlfriend who believed she was untouchable. We have 19-year-old Michaela who turned on her partner for no apparent reason. >> She did choke me. >> Mhm. >> And then she also slapped me in the face. >> Pulled me by my hair. You have trouble breathing. >> I did have trouble breathing. I was like trying to She's very strong. So I'm like trying to get her off of me. >> Okay. >> I didn't grab her neck but like I'm going to keep you. She put her hands on me first. >> Don't arrest her. Stop. On February the 19th, 2024, Ohio police were dispatched to a residence over a dispute between a woman and her girlfriend. Outside the apartment, they started talking to one of the women, but nothing could have prepared them for what she was about to reveal. >> What's up? >> Okay. >> Um, so basically, my girlfriend's in there last night. Um, she >> So, you're you're the one that called? >> I don't No, my friend Dominique Smith, he's the one that called. He's my friend. So, last night she um I don't know if the windows are open, but she choked me. >> You want to walk over here? >> She choked me three times. I know your antis >> and there's a scratch too, but she did choke me. >> Mhm. >> And then she also slapped me in the face. >> Pulled me by my hair. And I do >> I knew you guys probably would think it looked like a hickey, but I did record the conversation of her saying like I did put my hands on you and stuff. And I basically gave her she doesn't have a car. So I basically gave her the option of I will take you back to your hometown or I'm going to call the police. Like I need her out. She's she be takes my phone so I can't contact anyone. So I told my best friend I said look here's my address. If I don't respond I I need you to call the police within x amount of time. So like cuz in I kept looking out the window waiting for you guys. And she would not come. And basically like I said she puts her hands on me. She screams, takes my phone, and I even locked her outside for a little bit just to try to see if her mom would come and pick her up. Something like that. >> Her mom's not going to come pick her up. And I turned the Wi-Fi off so she couldn't call people to come here cuz she has done that before. And basically, she's inside right now. And she's like, "We're going to leave before they get here. I ain't going nowhere. I work I'm a probation officer." So that's why I'm trying to just do this the right way. I don't want any other trouble. I just want her out. And obviously this like this is not okay. I can't go to work and help my clients when I'm also dealing with this at home. So >> absolutely. Absolutely. I agree. >> Like I said, I just >> Does she have any weapons or anything like that in the apartment? Okay. No. Or anything? >> No. No. >> Gotcha. >> No. >> Um and you said all this happened last night. Has this kind of been an ongoing thing? >> Um so she kind of started putting her hands on me in December. This is what it looked like last night. >> Mhm. Um, turn it back up. So, that's what that is. That's what it looked like last night. Um, but like I said, I have a recording of her saying like, "I didn't mean to put my hands on you." And stuff just cuz she I heard her when she was outside on the phone with her friend, she's like, "They're not going to believe you. They're going to say it looks like a hickey. You're not going to get me arrested." All that kind of stuff. I literally gave her the option before I had my friend call you guys. said, "I will take you back, but you need to leave. Either the cops are going to come and get you or I will take you back, but you cannot be here anymore. Like, I can't I can't do this." >> Okay. How long have you guys lived together for? >> Um, about a year. We moved here in July 1st, I think, is when we moved here. But she's been like, she lives here. Actually, she does get me out here residency, but she also like goes back to her hometown for like weeks, sometimes a couple weeks at a time or so. >> You guys been dating for longer than that? >> Um, about a year. >> About a year. >> Mhm. >> Okay, I got you. Oh, she's got Mark >> on our neck from last night. >> Is she still here? >> She's in the house. Yeah. >> And what made her do that? >> Um, I told her I didn't want to be with her. So, the last time that I um took her back, I told her, I said, "Please don't come back." Like, she doesn't have a car, so she wasn't going to have a way up here. I said, "Please do not come back. I don't I blocked her on everything." She literally created new social media accounts to get a hold of me, like textile numbers, get a hold of my number, and she had her brother drop her off here. And basically, ever since I was like, "It's not my responsibility." Cuz she lives 2 hours away. I was like, "It's not my responsibility. I have to take you back to your hometown. That's not my job." And so I have been telling her the past week like I don't want to be with you. Like you scare me and I just want her out. Okay. >> Um [snorts] where's your hometown at? >> Zaneville, Ohio. >> Okay. What's her name? >> Michaela. >> I didn't want to have to do this, but she would leave on her own. >> Do you have your um your hands on you and stuff like that? What? So, she choked you. She's She choked me three three times last night. Like, I would like get up and try to breathe and stuff and and [snorts] then she would do it again. Then, yeah. >> As she was recounting the ordeal that she was suffering at the hands of her partner, it dawned on the officers that they weren't just dealing with anive girlfriend, but also one who lived with the illusion of being consequence proof. >> Um, did you lose consciousness at all? >> I did not. No. >> Did you have trouble breathing? >> I did have trouble breathing. I was like trying to She's very strong, so I was like trying to get her off. >> Okay. Okay. Um, I'm going to grab >> You want me to do that later? >> I'm going to grab you. >> Okay. Where are you a probation officer at? >> Oh, Miami County. >> Miami. >> Yep. Miami. Been there about 2 years now. >> All right. >> I love it. It's crazy, but I love it. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's a I'm sure it's a wild >> Yes. >> All right. Yeah. Does she know we're here right now? >> Yes, she does. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Do you think is she going to have an issue talking to us or anything like that? >> I think so. I do. >> Okay. >> She made any suicidal statements or anything like that? >> Okay. Um, do you care to take pictures and stuff? >> Do you want to go talk? Do you want us to go talk to her first and then >> Yeah, I just >> I can Yeah, I don't mind taking pictures. >> Okay. Yeah, I was going to We can go talk to her. Um, do you care to do a statement about what happened or a written statement? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um, we'll go make >> processing. >> I'm just gonna get a piece of paper. Um, >> I can do that now before Do you think she's going to try to run or anything like that? >> She may. I'm not even going to lie. She may. So, there's like the front living room window, bedroom window, there's a window in the other room, and then a kitchen window. So, >> that goes out the back. >> Mhm. >> Okay. All righty. Um, do you care? Do you have to go to work or anything? Do you care? >> I'm off the rest of the day. >> I couldn't sit today. >> Okay. Do you care to hang out before we do all the paperwork and the statements? Okay. >> The porch. My porch is not right over here. >> Okay. >> Door unlocked. >> Is your door unlocked? Just touch the door. Please don't let them take me. I'll leave. Where you at? In the bedroom right there. Come out. Hi. Can we talk? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, >> why? Wait, why is there three cops? >> Part of our protoc I didn't know. I just didn't know there needed to be three cops. >> Be respectful to them. >> I am. I'm not being disrespectful. My mom I'm not. But >> maybe I'll talk to you outside. >> Okay. Can you So, what's going on? So, basically, we've been arguing off and on for a minute. And today, I went outside cuz she went outside and she locked me out the door. So, I was outside for like 2 hours, I think. And my phone is off and I was she she asked me to leave and I was like, well, technically I live here. I've been here for a year and I get mail that comes here. And um I told her I said I'll leave but I don't drive. She does. And she didn't want to drive me cuz I live 2 hours away. So she asked me to find somebody here in Columbus. And I've been trying to find somebody but I don't have nobody. >> Okay. >> And um so she walked me outside and then I was begging her to let me come inside. She let me come inside and then she turned off the Wi-Fi cuz my phone's off and it only connects to Wi-Fi. so I couldn't text nobody. And then she was just asking me to leave before she called y'all. I didn't even know she called y'all but before she called y'all. And then I said I'll leave. But I was asking her to turn on the Wi-Fi so I can get all my arrangements set up where I live. And then by she turned on the Wi-Fi when y'all got here. So >> okay, >> basically that's it. But we was arguing yesterday and >> Okay. What happened yesterday when y'all were arguing? >> Not much. Okay. So, what's up with the necks on the marks on her neck? >> Don't know. Don't know how those got there. >> Okay. >> At that moment, the officers knew that they had struck a nerve. With just a little more pressure, she might finally spill everything. Now, they just had to find the right way to make her lay it all on the table. >> Well, she says otherwise. So if you want to tell me what happened, I mean be better if you tell me what happened. Bro, we was Bro, when we was arguing um I'm not going to lie, I did I did grab her neck, but like I'm going to keep it with you. She put her hands on me first. She put her hands on me first. And I I have never put my hands on this girl. I I literally texted her after it happened and I told her how sorry I was that it happened and she put her hands on me. I put my hands on her happened. So I was supposed to leave today. I couldn't get a ride to leave. So she got mad, locked me out, turned off the Wi-Fi. And by the time I came back in cuz she just let me in like 30 40 minutes ago. >> Mhm. I tried to call my mom cuz I was just on the phone with my mom. Tried to call my mom to see if she could find somebody. They said no. She told me I was here. That was really the end of what happened. >> Okay. So, what do you mean she put her hands on you? >> Like, well, we be arguing, bro. She be putting her hands on me first. Like, it's like a type thing like maybe a push come to shut kind of thing. Like, I'm not going to I'm not trying to get her in trouble or anything. If I'm in trouble, I'm in trouble. But it's like I don't put my hand on her unless I'm responding to her putting her hand on me. Like my face, she scratched my face, grabbed my >> Okay. Where did all this happen? >> In our bedroom. >> In the bedroom. >> Are you >> okay? Were you guys in the bed or just standing up around the bed? I don't know what it looks like, but >> we was we was in the bed. >> Sorry, I just don't Okay. Oh, you got a couch in there, too. Okay. Okay. Um, so she was asking to leave and that's what happened to us. >> No, it didn't happen because she asked me to leave. I forget what we was arguing about yesterday. >> Okay. >> I genuinely don't remember what we was arguing about. >> You're good. Yeah. Thank you. >> Okay. Do you have an ID on you by chance? >> I honestly don't know where my wallet was. She didn't let me in here and packed my stuff. >> Okay. So, >> do you know your social security number by chance? >> Yes. >> And then you don't have a good phone number right now cuz you said your phone's off. >> Yeah. No, I don't. I have a text number that I always answer, but that's about it. >> Okay. What is that number? Um Okay. Um. All right. Well, what I'll Just give me a second. I'm going to go talk to you. >> I'm going to jail. >> Huh? >> I'm going to jail. >> We're trying to piece together everything right now. We don't know anything >> at this stage. It was the suspect's word against the victims. One of them was telling the truth. The other was not. And the real task was uncovering which story would hold up. >> So, she's saying that you had put your hands on her first and that things often get physical between you guys. I'm not saying that's what happened, but I mean, do at any point like you get physical with her or anything like that? >> Okay. Okay. Like I said, she drank it last night and literally it I'm not going to lie, it literally happened. I was like, "I do not want to be with you." Like, and after that, it was just like she seen red. Like I said, even in the video when I cuz I literally recorded her saying that she was doing it. She was like, "I don't She" She's like, "That even scared me. I know you were scared." All that kind of stuff. But no, ma'am. I know. as much as me putting my hands on her. I was literally like trying to obviously get her off of me as go like that, but that was the extent of me putting my hands on her because I was like, "You need to get off of me." >> Yeah, I got you. Um, did you at any point try to call 911 last night or anything? >> No, it wasn't. She took my phone. >> Okay. Did she know you were going to try to call 911? Is that why? >> Last night? Yeah. Yeah, cuz I told like I think that that was the worst she had ever done it. I think she knew I was at the point of like, "Holy [ __ ] like you just did that to me." And so >> I grab I actually went to grab my phone and she took it and I was like I just want to make sure I can hear my alarms for work in the morning and she's like no you're not. So she did she did take it and yeah. So >> okay but you didn't say you're like calling the cops or anything like that. That's okay. >> Okay. Um I So we are going to arrest her. >> Um and I'm not saying that's because you want this. Um, but we have an obligation because it is domestic violence. Um, because you guys live together, you guys have been in a relationship together for a year now. We have an obligation to step in. Um, I am also going to charge her with strangulation um, for strangling you, which is a felony. Okay. Um, I'm just I know I'm sorry. I'm sure that's a lot, but I just want to be honest with you. Okay. Obviously, you're at your wits end. Um, I'm sorry. >> Don't apologize. You do not need to apologize at all. >> I didn't want to take confidence when I didn't have a choice. I literally thought you >> understand that. >> Well, yeah, I understand that. Um, do you care? I'm I'm sorry. Do you care if I see those text messages where she had told you that she was sorry for what she did to you or >> or that video of her ad? >> All right. So, it look it sounds like your guys' stories aren't matching up or anything like that right now. So, we're trying to figure out figure out everything, right? I mean, that's I can't make any determination right now. >> How long if I did, how long do you think I'd be in jail for? >> For what? >> Whatever. I don't know what the charge would be. Whatever happened. I >> I mean, it all depends. Uh I can't give you any realistic cuz I'm not a judge or nothing like that, right? So, um, and I don't I don't really know where this falls or or what's going on or even if she wants any charges or anything like that. So, I mean, it's hard to give you kind of any information on that. Um, once we kind of get a clear view, we can kind of tell you what's going to happen, if anything. She was saying that this has happened before, though. >> No, I didn't put my hands on her before, but the cops did get called here before. >> Yeah. Yeah, they did. And it was another situation. She wouldn't let me in the house. I I had my ride. I was leaving, right? >> Like I don't remember the cop's name, but even they let us go because I told them I just wanted my wallet. My wallet was in this house. She wouldn't open the door. And legally, I'm allowed in here. My mail comes here. I live here. I moved in here with her, >> right? >> But she wouldn't open the door. And so I was out the door. I'm not going to lie. I was banging on the door. Shouldn't have been banging on the door, but I was. and she called the cops and I just told them like I'm I'm trying to leave. Like I don't want my stuff. I just want my wallet. >> But I didn't put my hands on her. We've never been >> If you got residency, banging on a door is is not is the least of our concerns. If you if you live in a house as far as living in the house and residency goes, like if you want to bang on the door, um then that's I mean it's your house, too. I mean, if you want to break a door, then I mean, if you're if it's your house, you want to break a door, then I mean, it's that's just on you between you and the floor it is. Um, it's different when you breaking other people's doors in, right? But if it's yours, it's yours. Um, for some reason, the officer wasn't particularly shocked by her reaction to the situation, but what caught him off guard was how swiftly she twisted the narrative and tried to [music] paint herself as the victim. >> So, I don't I don't think we're disputing the the residency part here. We're more concerned with kind of the violence part. I mean, couples argue, >> but how would it go? Because I'm not the only one that's violent, >> but I feel like since like I look like the male in the relationship, I guess I don't know. I don't know how it works, but it's like why would I be the only if I go to jail? Why would I be the only one going to jail when I'm not the one who the only one who put my hands over people? >> Right. Right. And I'm not understand that just because I'm using your words, male in the relationship, right? that we don't just arrest the male in the relationship, quote unquote. Um, that's not uh that's not kind of how >> also works with the law. >> So, it's like >> I'm telling you, Miami County probation that doesn't have an effect on us. Okay? That's not that's not playing in our minds um as far as as who's guilty or not. Really, it's who started it and who kind of escalated it, right? cuz there's escalating >> cuz there's one thing, right, between somebody slapping you in the face and then getting on top of them and strangling them, right? I mean, those those are disproportionate, right? Somebody can slap you. That doesn't mean you get to go to your room and pull it down on them, right? There's there's proportionate responses, right? And it's the same thing for police officers. If I get in a fight with some dude, I can't just like pull my on somebody just cuz I get in a fight with them. Um, it's the same for regular everyday citizens. So there's there's defending yourself and then there's proportionate responses to to what occurs. All right. So just keep that in the back of your mind. I'm not I'm not >> She said she was pressing charges on me. >> She said she wanted you to go. That's >> right. I told her I would go. Like >> I mean I'm not going to lie. What would happen if I would have ran cuz I was about to go out the back window. >> Oh, we would have chased. Yeah. >> But y'all wouldn't know cuz y'all was out there talking for a minute. I would have been gone. >> I wasn't going to run. I'm not going to lie to you. I'm not running. >> I mean, if you want to talk in hypotheticals and you say you you were going to run, >> right, and we didn't know that you ran, you just snuck out a back window and you pulled one over the wool over our eyes. Um, >> we we have >> Huh? >> Y'all just catch me. >> Yeah. Yeah. I mean I mean, you got a long life, right? It's not like you can avoid the law for the rest of your life. >> Yeah. I would be a warrior. Most definitely. >> Yeah. So it it's it's good that you say it looks good for you and it looks good that we can at least get your side of things cuz >> I just don't >> whatever happens in our report, we're going to take your account of information and what your account was into consideration cuz we're not we're not the NWL. We're not the jury. We're not the judge. We're not the executioner. We're not doing anything. Whatever we come to today is just what happens today. What happens tomorrow that's up for the judge. That's up for juries. I mean >> tomorrow. So that does mean I'm going to jail. No, I'm talking hypotheticals, right? You're talking hypothetically running out the back window. We're still talking hypotheticals, right? Whatever happens, >> this isn't this isn't the end of whatever happened. This is just what we can piece together on our end. All right. So, >> but I feel like y'all's talking to her more than me. Like, y'all's talking to her. Is it cuz she called the cops? Cuz y'all talking about we're going to do paperwork and then she talked to me and then she like, "All right, I'm going to go out and check up with her." Like, why is it her story that's more important than mine? Cuz >> it's not more important. She just had a lot to say. >> Yeah. And the paperwork they're talking about is >> she had a lot to say, bro. We had a lot in our relationship and and and there's been a lot. But it's like if this happened and this happened and you didn't call them, why are you why are you trying to bring it up now? Like it's old. >> Yep. I'm I'm not disagreeing. That's one of our questions is, you know, if it happened, why didn't you call when it happened? Right. That that is a question that we ask. That's something that we want to know too is like well you would be amazed at how many >> come over here and sit down. >> Do what? >> Do you mind if I sit down? >> Yeah, go ahead. >> Yeah, I'm not >> Yeah. Yeah. No, you're all good. But I don't feel like >> Yeah. No, that's fine. I sit in the car all day, so I got to stand up or else my back's going to start me. Um, but as far as like that, that's a question that we always ask people, right? You'd be surprised at how many people call and they're like, "Hey, my my boyfriend beat me a year ago." And we're like, "Well, why didn't you call a year ago?" Right? I mean, there's there's always more to the story than what one [clears throat] person says.
