Get your hands off of me. >> And you know about the Jiggraph? >> Yes, sir. Suspension that their family and their dog died. >> A police badge doesn't necessarily make someone a good person. And some [music] officers are so evil that their own wives bear the full force of their cruelty. But what happens when [music] these good wives get fed up and expose their evil cop husbands? >> He's a cop. >> Going to call a duck. Duck. I'm smelling alcohol on your breath. Maybe a drink at night. No. >> He didn't put his hands on you tonight. Has he put his hands on you in the past? No. She says no. >> Here are several emotional moments when good wives expose their evil cop husbands. Starting with Officer Jeremy, an evil cop who actually thought holding his girlfriend hostage in her own house was a solid plan despite [music] being in law enforcement. >> Just a domestic thing, I guess. >> I've asked him to leave. I've asked him to let go of me and he wouldn't. And you wouldn't leave. >> Is that a camera right there? >> I believe so. Yes, sir. >> Does it record or you wouldn't know? >> I wouldn't know. Okay. >> I don't know if they >> get your hands off of me. and you know about integrity. >> On November the 15th, 2023 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, officers rushed to a home after a neighbor reported that a woman was being held against her will. The neighbor had gotten a desperate text from her and immediately called the cops for [music] assistance before things spiraled out of control. But when officers showed up for what seemed like a simple welfare check, it opened a can [music] of worms they weren't supposed to hear about their colleague. Wherever. >> Hello. >> Hi. PD. What's going on? >> Um, just a domestic, I guess. >> I've asked him to leave. I've asked him to let go of me and he wouldn't and he wouldn't leave. >> What was going on? >> Um, I got home 30 seconds after he pulled up and he got pissed off. I didn't tell them that I was not here. >> So, I get called all the names. >> Okay. Who's the officer? [snorts] >> Him? >> Well, what's his name is what we're asking cuz we're going to find out who's Jeremy. >> Okay. Is he I know he's an officer. There's weapons in the house. >> How is he going to act with us? [snorts] Was he drinking or anything? [snorts] >> Anything physical happened today? >> I mean, other than him not letting me go and [clears throat] >> what happened with what? >> I don't know. Between me trying to [clears throat] get away from him and between >> I don't know. >> I don't know when it happened. >> So, like you were trying to leave and he >> I'm trying to push him away and he just says that he's not willing to give up. He's not willing to let go. So, he just says, "Let me just love on you." And I don't I've asked him. And I asked him five times to let go of me and he won't. >> Were you when you were saying let go of me, were you wanting to leave the residence? Were you wanting to leave the house >> or were you >> I wanted him to let go of me and then I've asked him. I opened the door and I said, "You need to leave. You can get out. You need to go. It's not his house. It's my house." and he won't. He said, "No, I'm not going anywhere." >> Okay. How long is it? >> He has five things in a plastic bag at the front door that I let him put in a plastic bag so that he could leave. >> Gotcha. Him holding you taking place out in the house. >> The living room of the kitchen. >> Okay. And he came up to you and he held you. How did he hold his arms? >> No. He like tries to hug me and I try to push him away. So it's >> Is he like in front of you? >> Yeah. >> Does he let go of me? >> Don't want you to touch me. Stop hugging me. Don't like just let go of me. >> Did he inflict any pain on you? Did he leave any marks? He hurt you. >> I told him he was hurting my back then. [clears throat] And other than I don't know when this happened, but >> so he was holding you, hugging you like pretty tight. >> I mean, as tight as he could when I'm pushing away from you. >> Come over here just in case. >> That's from him. >> I It's And then I broke the ball, but um I don't know when that happened. >> Okay. You don't know how you got those injuries? Well, I know that it happened during like the struggle, but I don't know at what point. >> After checking her injuries, the officers didn't waste any time. They geared up to confront the boyfriend with everything they already knew. But before they could make a move, the lady hit them with a request, one that hinted at a far more controversial game unfolding behind the [music] scenes. >> Can you please I asked my neighbor? I asked my neighbor to call you guys. Can you please try to find someone? Try to head over there. >> My neighbor called you guys. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Can you please I don't know if he told you that I asked you guys, but can you please not mention that to him? >> Did Jeremy? >> Yeah. >> Either way, we we're we're here. He knows we're here. >> Well, he knows you're here, but he doesn't know that I asked for you guys to be here. >> Okay. >> Called. >> We have to conduct our investigation right on this and let him know the reason why we're here for a welfare check concerning you. that we cannot lie. It's gonna be in our >> No, but you can see that it came from him >> and from also by chance of the service. >> So, do you think he'll be cooperative with us? >> Oh, probably. >> He knows exactly what to say to make. >> How long would you say that was going on for like the 2 [music] minutes? You don't [clears throat] >> That was in the living room. >> Yeah. >> And then eventually you just let go. Eventually, I was able to push him far enough to where I could like squirm out from his arms. >> So, by squirming out, like what did you do after? Did you run away from him? Did you Did he come out back after you? >> I kept Well, he did it twice, but I kept either the island between me or the couches between me and him >> and he was trying to actively go. Okay. >> So, when he was holding you, did you feel at that moment you were free to leave? >> No, not at all. He's stronger than me. No, I said during that moment he was holding you, did you feel that you were not free to leave? >> Correct. Yes. I could not leave. He is stronger than me. I could not be. He doesn't know this. But I have like the entire um restraining order paperwork filled out for like when it comes to such a head as this. [music] Um >> so it's been progressively getting worse. >> Oh yeah. >> Did either of you guys ever come outside actually walk out of the house tonight? >> No. I opened the door >> for him to leave, but none of us have walked out. >> How long have you guys been together? >> Um, I've known him since the end of May, and we've been together since the beginning of September. >> Okay. So, it's very, very new. >> Okay. So, that makes sense. So, stay here. We're going to go try and talk with him. Assume he's on the way just because he is a police officer. And we'll try and come up with a resolution. Okay. Also, uh, sometime during this investigation, we're going to take pictures of you. Is that okay? >> Oh. Uh, can I put my dogs in the kennel? >> The small talk was over. The officers prepared for their entry, but the surprise that awaited them was as wild as a hurricane with a grudge. >> That's the least of our concern right now. Okay. [snorts] Is that what I know? >> Okay. So, they're going in the room. >> If you want, you can stay in the room. You can stay outside. It's just Yeah, that's Yeah. >> Yeah. >> The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Jeremy Nvarez, a Bernal Lillo police officer at the time. And as if that wasn't shocking enough, the chain of revelations that followed made the whole situation spiral into something far more serious than anyone could have expected. argument um just about I guess kind of over communication throughout the day. [music] So um came here just kind of just little tense from the beginning. Kind of just asked her like you know just let me go. If you're done um tried hugging her but I didn't head out. [music] She said I didn't hurt her back. I let her go. Um, I had my stuff over there to leave the bag stuff to leave. Um, she wanted the keychain off the keys that I have. I was like, "Well, you gave it to me. I I don't want to give it back." Like, and then we ended up kind of just talking it out from there about what we could do better or if we need to end the relationship or go to. So the argument all started with communication. >> Yeah. Throughout the day cuz like I've been in been training all day. We haven't [clears throat] really seen each other the whole week. My job and her job and then just what time did you go? >> Maybe like around 6. What time did you get here? >> I mean shortly after. Maybe 5 minutes. Oh, something like that. Do you guys live here or? >> No, like we'll I'll come over here and stay with her on my days off much as I can or something like that. So, just her house and then you stay here. >> Yeah. >> I'll stay here for 4 days or whatever. Whenever I can. >> Okay. Where do you live? >> Uh off the patch. >> Oh, okay. So, then you said you gave her a hug. >> I I did give her a hug. She didn't go into detail the hug. Well, I just like a normal hug and at times she was like, "Oh, I don't want it." I'm like, "Calm down. Let me hold you like we'll work it out." And she's like, "We'll turn my lower back." She's been having lower back. I let her [snorts] where we like table. >> Oh, all right. 10 seconds maybe 15. Oh, would you say like hard? >> I mean, not I mean, not too hard. I mean, once she [clears throat] was like, "Yeah, my back." You're like, "It's hurting my back." Okay, fine. So, I'm just trying to sit here and hold you. And then you're like, "No, I'm like just calm down. Let me hold you. you work this out and it's like this is hurting my lower back. Sorry. We were talking and she got like a notification about that. I think that's when she went to the door and then you brought me. >> Yeah. So, she wanted the keychain back and you gave it to me like let me go. [snorts] Um, and so we got we're already teaching and eventually she was like, "You know what? Never mind. No teaching. Just go." I'm like, "Okay." And that's when we kind of were talking about like what I could do better. Oh god. Where in the house are we at? Like around the kitchen area like from the fridge. Oh. So you're saying >> yes at that point you guys have any contact physical contact or so she went to grab the keychain and I just pulled it away >> and that was about it and then I was okay that one that's when we ended up like never mind all the key chains go and I'm like Okay. Like I I love you. I do want to make this work. And that's when we had talk about like what we could do better or at that point you guys bedroom. So that's the talk is after the DJ part. Yes. And then you 20ish minutes talking. >> So then after you guys have been talking. >> Yeah. Go after what happened though? >> I think that's after like the 20 minutes. That's when I think she got a notification out. So, >> all right. Um, how did that talk the better? >> I mean, we were kind of figuring stuff out and I think we both as far as I read into it, like we're not going to end a relationship. We're going to try to figure this stuff out. Um, and hopefully >> So far, he had been telling a completely different [music] story. But just like he had his well- rehearsed version of the event, there was another version he had no clue was hiding in plain sight. >> Is that a camera right there? >> I believe so. Yes, sir. >> Does it record >> or you wouldn't know? >> I wouldn't know. Okay. >> I don't know if they do or not. I'm not too sure. >> Would it capture any of the arguing or any of the just kind of set in stone type of ordeal? Like cuz that kind of likes >> I know it like catches from like if it does record I think it's there to there. She had it for the dogs. >> Got it. >> So, it would catch like from the end of the couch to the hallway. >> To verify the claims, the officer met with the woman of the house to access the cameras, hoping to settle things without escalating. But the footage they saw threw cats among the geese. And it did it fast. >> Hands off of me now. Get your hands off of me. >> I said get your hands off. Armed with what they knew, the officers kept pressing the woman and her answers quickly revealed just how far things had already gone. >> No, it's just the key chain. So when he was put on administrative >> for what? >> You know that one? >> No, I don't. >> Oh, he works for >> Okay. >> You haven't watched the YouTube video, the new story. >> Which one? of him stopping that family of speeding on burning meal and the dog >> because he did a felony stop by a family and a lot of their family out of the car. [clears throat] >> I'll Google his name and find out. >> Okay. >> Is he still on leave? >> No, they just let him get back. >> Okay. >> I have I have talked with >> Mhm. >> and the DV unit, the crime victim. >> The crime victims. I have all of the restraining order pages. The restraining order paper got filled out of two pages of everything that he has done. >> Okay. Have you called us before? >> No. >> Why? >> I know. I I know. But >> nothing's going to change what happens. >> No, but I I should have. I know. I know. I should have. And I I kick myself every day that I didn't call a few times. >> [clears throat] >> Um, but >> so he grabbed you three times. >> No, I grabbed you twice. >> Also, battery three times her cuz she was unwanted, right? That's unsolicited to insulin banner. She told her 10 times to let him go. >> Yeah. >> And he did it again and I asked him I was like two seconds since you after. So she told me twice on both of those moments at least. Why did you continue? He was like I don't know. I just how long? >> Yeah. 15 years. And he just got back from suspension. There's a guy that um pulled their family out at gunpoint family and their dog died in some hours or something. So he was just got back on. >> Jeremy was not new to trouble. He had already made headlines for allegedly holding a family at point after stopping them for speeding while they were rushing their injured dog to a vet. Now back in that living room, officers had a few more questions for the 29year-old. >> What is your name? >> Jeremy. >> Jeremy what? No. >> And you're an officer? >> Yes, sir. >> And you know about integrity? >> Yes, sir. >> How long you been with Burnley Leo? >> Uh, it's year and a half. >> Is that the only agency you've been with? >> I started with L County Sheriff's Office. >> It What's bad about those is it show it only records for 30 second increments and then it does it or it cuts off for 2 minutes and then it does every cycle. So it catches you and her without obviously shade words on her. And then it shows you guys talking here on the side outside of camera view. [snorts] battery. >> I'm able to call someone to just work. >> We'll also do some call. Who's your supervis? >> Uh, Durant. >> Durant. >> Then it also shows on this side. You hug her from behind and her telling twice to let your hands up. Trying to watch this. You just have boxes underneath. >> Yes. A little bit. Heat. Heat. Eventually, Jeremy's fall from grace came pretty fast. He was charged with battery on a household member and court records show that he later pleaded guilty. The woman immediately filed a restraining order and not long after Jeremy was reportedly fired from the Bernalillo Police Department. Jeremy may have had a wild streak, but Marino crossed into caution tape territory when he cruised to his ex's house while drunk and armed in a patrol car like he was craving a nationwide newspaper headline. I'll buy you another I'll buy you anything else that you want. >> I get what you're saying, but like I'm going to call a duck. Duck. I'm smelling alcohol on your breath. But you got on the news, bro. >> Oh, it's possible. My life is already ruined. Just let me call my mom. Oh. On October the 24th, 2023, at around 1:00 a.m., Jacksonville police responded to a call that had completely spiraled out of control, the report revealed the ugly truth of what happens when uniforms are off and both self-control and every bit of police academy training go on an impromptu sbatical. >> I have an ex-boyfriend who will not get out of my apartment. I'm sorry. He's dancing in my apartment. He's JSO and he thinks that he's This is a joke. >> Okay. Is he an officer for JO? >> Ma'am, >> whatever. Just [laughter] get out, please. >> Thank you. I won't say your name. Please get out. Please, I'll buy you another I'll buy you anything else that you want. Just get your back. Please. Please. He just left. He was like very scared. [laughter] >> Okay. It feels like you're having a panic attack. Do you want rescue to come check you out? >> No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. I'm fine. I JUST in my bathroom and I told you. He was really hor in trouble. I get in trouble. >> I'm not going to lie. Like we've been drinking, but you've been drinking. Yes. We were in a battle with his drunk. >> Okay. [clears throat] Why not have some officers and maybe a sergeant come out there and speak with you? >> Is it his sergeant? >> Probably not his sergeant. No. >> Okay. Does that matter? I don't [laughter] for one call. He brought his gun here. But I live in a safe apartment. I don't know why he brought his Glock. >> Do you know if he drove his patrol vehicle there? >> Yes, he does. He should not be driving. >> Two Jacksonville Sheriff officers were heading [music] to the caller's apartment, but made a pit stop at Aawa. That was when things took a disturbing turn. A patrol car pulled into the lot, standing out like a sore thumb. The officers expected no unit in the area, so they went close to investigate, but they got even more than they had bargained for. Yeah. End up on YouTube for this. Yo, man. >> What's up, bro? >> Good. >> You work out on Blue Squad? >> Uh, who? >> Blue Squad? >> Yes, sir. >> Cool. >> Is there kind of some kind of issue tonight with some girlfriend? >> Yeah. We got to talk about it. >> Do you have your gun on you or anything? No. >> No. Okay. Fast. Um, it's all right. You can smoke your cigarette. Let's go over to my car. Here you go. Come on. This way. Oh, I was going to say you can go. >> Come on. >> All right. >> The officer guided him to the patrol car, ordering him to empty his pockets and hand over his ID. Instead of a driver's license, he flashed what looked like a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office badge, identifying himself as 26-year-old officer Justin [music] Marino, a four-year veteran. Maybe it was a move to soften the landing or just plain overconfidence. >> I asked uh why we're waiting for like I can't talk about it right now. >> I don't I don't I don't know what information you're looking for. Like I don't I don't have it. >> I don't have the information. I'm just, you know, following orders. You know how it is. >> But my question is why you just see me and say, "All right, come over here." All right. stand here. >> What What info did you have to >> I'm not going to discuss anything about that. >> You know how it is, man. >> Don't put me in that situation. >> Not trying to be in that situation. >> Just wait until the powers that be are here to tell me what to do. >> Meanwhile, a second officer made his way to the 911 caller's apartment to confirm that she was safe and to gather the real story about what unfolded earlier that night. >> Hey, did you give us a call? No. >> What's going on? >> Nothing. I think the call said something about your boyfriend or something. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Does he live here with you or is he live somewhere else? >> No, he lives like about 10 minutes away, but he just would not leave and he was not being very nice and I just couldn't do it anymore. So, I told him out and so um but everything's fine though. He won't come back. I know that. A few minutes later, a sergeant rolled into the Waw Wa lot. And that's when the big uncomfortable truth [music] everyone had been tiptoeing around finally hit the table. >> It was odd when he got out. He he just kind of kept his head down. >> It looked like he was trying to avoid you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Like he didn't realize we were >> He saw you. He trying to avoid you. >> Has he been stumbling at all when he walked? >> Yeah. >> He had like a 22 and 63 girlfriend. The call screen said that she's having all kind of issues with him. She's scared. said he was driving his patrol officer. His patrol vehicle. >> Did y'all talk to him or is that just >> That's what the call screen said. >> Yeah. Come over here away from these officers. Let me talk to you one. >> Uh what's going on? I mean, I'm just trying to figure it all out. So So I went to Waw Wa and walked out. Here we are. >> You went to Waw Wa and walked out? Yes, >> sir. every single song. >> I hate every single second of it. >> This is terrible. >> This may go down as one of my worst. >> Yeah, >> it's very very uncomfortable. >> I'll tell you this from one man to another man. I get what you're saying, but I'm going to call a duck duck. I'm smelling alcohol in your breath, but like you can call me a liar if you want, man. I'm not here to put you in a trick bag. Okay. But maybe a drink of the night. No. This is normally tired, slow on Antarctic. >> I don't think God show. >> Okay. So, the officer saw you parked up here, right? >> You think you're okay to drive? >> Yes, sir. >> You literally think you're okay to drive? >> Yes, sir. >> You know what month it is? >> October. >> October what? >> 22nd to October. Something like that. >> Let me see here. It is the 24th. that. So, here's the deal. You know what I do, right? DUI officer in Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. >> Um, so I am going to be conducting a DUI investigation. Okay. >> Marino didn't realize the officers [music] were asking questions they already knew the answers to. The heavy smell of his breath was only making things worse. After a round of DUI checks, [music] the officer finally laid it on him. And just like a bad case of diarrhea, he knew it was coming and wished he could stop it. >> All your guns and stuff in the car. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. Listen, you you know my hands are forced. Okay. >> I'm sorry. What' you say? >> You know, you know my hands are tied at this this moment. Okay. I I'm going to be placing you under arrest on suspicion of DUI. Period. Okay. It is what it is. Okay. I know. Okay. So, I'm not going to have you put your hands behind your back, but I unfortunately the sheriff still makes us put people in handcuffs who are going to jail. So, you're going to have to go in front of you and I'm going to have you sit in the corner. Okay, take a breath. It is what it is, man. I know. I know. But there's no getting out of this. I will say this. This can be overcome that I've seen in the past. Well, yeah, I've seen it. Okay. You're you're human just like everybody else. >> How could this be overcome? >> I know. But that's just where I'm at, man. Okay. So, with that said, >> how did this be overcome, man? >> I know. Well, hear me out. >> It will. Okay. This is This is a charge to be on the news, man. >> It's possible. >> [laughter] >> Take a breath. >> I'm sorry, man. It is like this, man. [laughter and gasps] >> You got the news, bro. >> Um, it's possible, brother. Well, we're held to a higher standard, man. Hold on. Just put your hands in front of you. Okay. >> I know. I know. >> Holy. >> Relax. Right. >> There's no way. >> Hey, >> there's no way this >> going to make it any worse. Okay. It is what it is. >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> I'm bad person, dude. [laughter] >> His face is >> There's no way. There's no way, bro. There's no way. There's no way. Okay. All right. It's all right. I get it. I get it, man. Hey, you know, some paperwork's got to be done. >> I've given you some courtesies by putting handcuffs up front. Okay. >> I know. You've been fine. You've been good. You've been good. But What the is happening? [laughter] [laughter] Oh, I want to be on the news, dude. I want to be on the news again. While Marino was busy wrestling with his regrets in full HD at his girlfriend's house, she had started to open up, spilling more than enough to rub salt in his wounds and make the situation even uglier. >> What were you guys arguing about? He said something like, "Um, my dad doesn't want me talking to him." And I mentioned that to him and I wasn't supposed to. And he was like, "Oh, your dad think your dad thinks he's a hero." And I was like, "You got to get out of my apartment." And >> so it was like a relationship argument sort of, but or more of like a family argument with you and your family. >> Yeah. >> Did it Did it get physical at any point? Did he Did he ever put hands on you? Did he slap you, punch you, kick you, scratch you, push you? >> No. >> No. >> No. But yeah, they're just protective of me. But no, never going to be like that. >> So, he didn't put his hands on you tonight? >> No, not tonight. >> No, not tonight. >> Not tonight. >> He's a cop. >> Yeah, he didn't touch me or anything like that. It was probably It was honestly me. I was just like, I just need them to get out of my apartment. >> It's me being dramatic and I'm sorry. Thank you for coming out. >> Absolutely. >> How many times do you think you told him to get out? >> That's all right. Take a breath. Take a breath. It's okay. It's all right. Just give me one second. You can compose yourself. All right. >> She says that he did not put hands on her at all tonight. Um, just it was the just the verbal altercation. >> Had he put her hands on her before you said tonight? Had he put ever put hands on her? >> She hasn't specified, but I will ask. >> Has he You said he hasn't he didn't put his hands on you tonight. Has he put his hands on you in the past? No. She says no. Um, but I'll keep going on. He knew me wrong. >> I didn't I didn't say he did. I didn't say he didn't. >> But you know, we got to we've got to I got to get the whole story. I need to know who he is. >> Justin >> Marino. >> Marino. Justin Marino. Take a breath. I see you starting to hyperventilate. All right. It's okay. It's all right. Take a breath. Let me uh let me call you back in a minute. Okay. >> All right. Thanks, man. Bye. >> All right. Hey, it's okay. It's all right. again. We're just we're just >> when she stops to me. >> That was tonight. >> Okay, >> hang on. I I can't understand you. >> It's okay. Take a second. Take a breath. Nice deep slow breath through your nose. >> But >> it's okay. The officer sent her back inside for the night, but in the back of the cruiser, Marino looked like he had suddenly found the gospel. Can I call my mom? Please let me call my mom, please. [laughter] >> Just let me call my mom. She's in Massachusetts. She won't be anywhere near her. Just let me call my mom. Just let me call my mom. [laughter] >> The only person that cares about me. Please let me call my mom. Please. Please. You're not going to be able to make any phone calls. >> Awesome. [snorts] You know, I've arrested pieces of and I've let them make phone calls. I've let pieces of gangbangers call their mom. Why? Why don't you just have some decency and let me make a phone call? My my life is already ruined. Just let me call my mom. Soon that humility he preached like a Sunday sermon vanished the moment he realized the newfound gospel wasn't saving him. >> Please just call my friend or my mom. Call somebody. I need somebody. Help. Please help me. Help me. My life is already over. You can't let me talk to my mother. The one person I'll probably stay beside. Ied everything up already. Yeah, I'm gonna have be the laughing stock. Oh yeah, Marina got arrested. You can't let me talk to my mom. My mother just the one person that's on my side. Are you a robot? The Hey, I hope this is a good arrest for you, brother. Hope you feel good about this one. What a bad not even letting me call my mom. Hope you feel tough, brother. Right. Feel tough to like a solid 10:15 for you, man. You're going to hit the sack tonight. Be like, damn, I really made a difference today, huh? I didn't let this officer call his mom today. I'm so tough. Man, I didn't even let him call his mom. Man, I'm going to hang my hat on that one. That's sick. That's so sick, dude. Dude, the call. We made sure to pay attention. >> What level writing is this? >> You made sure to troll the area. There we go. Let's get better than like second grade writing here. >> Yeah, let's get it up to at least third grade here. >> Sitting over the shoulder reading the report. >> Okay. >> What did he say specifically? >> He was just making fun of the way it was written, talking about let's get it above a third grade level, blah blah. >> Is that what he said? >> Yeah. >> All right. I'm glad they have cameras in the back. >> He's he's uh what do you call it? His mood is like changing. First he was all happy and cool. Then he got sad. [laughter] >> He was pissed. I was pissed. >> No. 88. >> He's going through all the stages. >> Good job, Dy unit. Yeah, you got him this time, man. You got him. I really hope you hang your hat on this one tonight, brother. Your bald doesn't need to wear a hat. What do you think? Your big bad big bad. Huh? Right. Right. >> Miller. Right. Miller. >> Yeah. You're a big bad, huh? Yeah. Big bad. Big bad. Huh? The narrative looks like it was written by a 2-year-old. >> In the end, officer Justin Marino was arrested after a search of his cruiser revealed a loaded firearm, a bottle, and non-alcoholic seltzers in his bag. He refused a breathalyzer, and no blood test was taken. He was suspended without pay, resigned, and later had his DUI charge reduced to reckless driving. Next, we look at the moment Andreas Perez completely [music] derailed his life and career as he went from officer to offender when [music] he launched a cheeseburger at his wife during a McDonald's lunch meltdown. >> So, a couple times. Yeah. So, like literally right now, bro, I threw a cheeseburger at her. >> Like, it always happened. He's like, "Oh, they never do anything to him." And you're and you abandon your pregnant girl. >> What the did you do? We're not out there working. Ah, my friend saw you naked because you said people. >> On August the 10th, 2023, a frightened woman dialed 911, calling Hollywood about a lunchtime mishap. [music] Not the usual aggressive seagull snatching food at a park kind of mishap, but a nightmare of a lunch wrapped in >> Tell me exactly what happened. Uh, we got in a dispute with my husband >> and he ended up putting hands on me and [music] and he and he ended up breaking the house. >> Okay. How many minutes ago did this happen? >> Like 15 minutes ago. >> You would never >> He hit you. Do you need a fire rescue? >> No. No. You pushed me. >> Okay. >> You destroyed everything. You destroyed everything. Look at the the front door. Look at the front door. Look at the door. Look at everything. Look at everything. Look at Don't >> Okay, ma'am. Try to try to refrain from arguing with him. >> Huh? >> Try to refrain from arguing with him. >> After you hit me and you break everything, you steal. You're going to destroy me [music] and you're a female abuser. >> Okay. >> Yes. I'm literally calling the cops because I'm done with you because you have everything. Police officers rushed to the scene, hoping they wouldn't be too late to stop the domestic situation still unfolding. By the time they arrived at the house, the story that greeted them was as twisted and unpredictable as trying to read the mind of a sociopath. How we doing? >> It was good. >> All right. Just come on. Talk to my partner. You know what's going on? What's going on, man? >> You got an argument with your wife, >> huh? >> You got an argument with your I don't know whose name she >> Yeah, wife. What happened? What's going on? um >> 23. >> Uh long story short, uh with the kids, we were going through some some issues. Long story short, she wants to call a split. Things don't make sense. It's all about financial problems, to be honest with you. She doesn't have a job, so she's been trying to find one. Um I tried to tell her, "Let's go out with the kids, whatever." So, we took the kids out. Well, I took the kids out. Um came back, brought food, and man, I I can show you all the messages. It's just I'm I'm not going to tell you. just it >> I get you. I get you. >> Even though I I know she's going to say whatever, but long story short, I I I don't really get it, bro. Like the you know, your wifeing tells you like, oh, like I want to go have fun. So then she literally tells you what I have fun with like somebody else. >> And then I'm like like okay fine. Like uh you know sometimes you catch me at good moments I'm understanding the next like it's it's bad. So it's like >> I don't know where to put my anger, you know? So I put my anger and Yeah. Fine. I break a door, break a couple [ __ ] break a wall. >> It's better than the other the >> right. You know what I'm trying to say? So a couple times. Yeah. So like literally right now, bro, I threw a cheeseburger at her. >> The McDonald's [ __ ] cheeseburger. >> Um >> it didn't get I mean >> it was verbal. Was it a verbal argument? It gets verbal and obviously it gets really bad because I [ __ ] punch a door and that I mean and so there's nothing you know it's like there's nothing wrong with punching a wall. It's always better to punch a wall, >> right? But in her eyes, I know it's it's bad. And I'm not trying to make it bad for I'm I promise you, man, it's been 8 years. I'm trying to be understanding, >> but like I tell her, it's like, "Yep." Okay. So, if you're broke, why does that tell you, "Okay, you want to go have fun with somebody. We can break up right now. You can go on. You go have fun with somebody else, >> right? >> But you're still broke. It still doesn't change your situation, >> right? It's not going to change anything." >> So, I'm literally trying I I told her, >> "You do realize you're literally turning me in just to go have fun. We can go have fun. Yes, I'm always working, but I'm working because >> there's a financial I'm trying to pay the bills. >> So, bro, I'm working every overtime, every detail, everying damn thing. >> It gets frustrating. Trust me. >> No, I understand. And especially when you're working a lot, you only got the house and it's just you is you by yourself financially and it's hard especially you don't really got time to be home cuz you're always working because the other person is >> like I'm no because like I slap in the face. I took off Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, f Friday to tomorrow, I I have a a Dolphins game to go work a detail, but I took off these three days literally to go spend the time with her. >> And like literally, she tells me last night, I'm going to go out with some guy, whatever. And I'm like, bro, I I should It caught me at a at a good moment cuz I'm like, okay, fine. Like, I'm trying to be understanding. But then at night, not that she went out, she ended up just going to the gym cuz the the guy said no, whatever. person wants to rehearse. >> But then at night you tell me >> we have a spare room. So I'm sleeping in the spare room. Oh come >> and right after it's like but like I'm a ball of emotions >> cuz you're going back and forth. >> Meanwhile, another officer was inside the house trying to stitch [music] the whole mess together like a puzzle missing half its pieces. >> We got another screw. We got another >> Okay. Um, what is it over? >> I always I always just want to like I don't want to be with him anymore. He's always like he's always act this way. Whenever I'm like whenever I'm depressed or something, I always have to be good. When I feel like he's up, he start acting out. >> Okay. What actually happened? >> He broke the door. He broke the Yes. Like the front door. He punched the two with this one and I'm tired of like the kids. >> What What actually happened today? [snorts] >> What is What is the argument on money? >> The argument he's he says it's money. It's not money. I I'm stressed cuz I've been trying to find a job. I've been trying to like >> So, it's working with >> I have I have a lot of issues building up like my family and this and that. So today I wanted to stay in bed. I took the kids and and and and I get to a point in my life that I feel like I need to restore. I need to like cuz it just so much problems. So I cannot give a little bit of attitude. I cannot anything that he starts that he always end up being very aggressive. Very aggressive. >> When you say very aggressive, what do you mean? He normally breaks breaks walls, breaks the door, breaks. >> Okay. Well, I'm talking about as far as where you concerned. You guys are physical today? >> Yeah. >> Okay. When you say physical, how >> um we were in here >> and then he hit me with the bag. >> In the argument, >> he hit you with the bag or you hit him with the bag. No, he he he he said it was just like it really didn't hurt me. He said it was just but I felt like it was he was yelling. I have things of him yelling at me like I I was literally like and then he like it always happened. He's like oh they never do anything to him. >> Like I said I'm I'm just trying to understand you guys got into an argument. He threw the bag. >> No, he didn't threw the bag. He hit me with the bag. He hit me and I it was his his he grabbed the It was his hand. His hand hit me. >> He He threw the bag but he went like this. >> That's when I grabbed the sword and you threw me. Let me see where I'm trying to see where it is. >> And then he started grabbing me. After speaking with the woman of the house, the officers made the call to take the man in, [music] at least until a detective could show up, sift through the evidence, and untangle whatever truth was hiding in that living [music] room chaos. Island Parkway 97. >> So I'm going to do this fake. I'm going take off your watch. All right. Okay. Yeah. Take your watch off. Thank you. Put your hands together like sign good. >> So we going to take your phone, your watch. I'm going put I'm going to put this bracelet in your book bag. All right. Yes, sir. Got you. Um do you know where his wallet is and his keys to his police car? Yes. He said it's by the table. >> No, I got the old ones. About 2 hours later, detectives finally arrived to comb through the video footage of what went down. But if anything, the truth on those screens wasn't exactly as advertised. >> The farthest that you can listen, but I want you to disappear. Take care. I need you to see anything. >> This has become because you want to be independent because you want to be stress free because you have a finance issue. Just you still can't give me a [ __ ] hint. We can break up. You can live in your own place. You tell me. How does money tell you to leave me? >> There's no way this didn't happen. >> You concentrated on the NICE PART. THAT'S THAT'S WHAT everything >> nice part. THAT'S WHAT YOU PUT. >> NO, I don't trust you. That's why I'm leaving you. I don't trust you. >> 3 years ago. >> I know. Not from 3 years. I don't trust you. The damage you did too much. That's why I'm leaving you. I'm leaving you because I'M DONE. >> THREE YEARS AGO. You're [screaming] the one who somebody behind my back just the other week. I have a clean system. I earned my right. >> Yeah. You want to tell me >> they told you someone when I was pregnant and left your in your body your pregnant. >> What the [ __ ] did you do? We're not out there working. You >> I didn't [ __ ] no one. >> You want to go here? >> I didn't [ __ ] no one. >> What you doing? Oh, let's go. Your car to Puerto Rico. Let me >> What did you do? I didn't do your job, >> BUT I DID IT. WHAT YOU DO means nothing. >> You didn't deserve that. What the hell you did when we first started? Now my friends saw you. Now I saw you naked because you decided to go speak. At the time of making this video, the fate of his case [music] remained buried under silence. Andreas's case had a dark edge, but it pald in comparison to this officer who rolled up in a police cruiser to his ex's new partner's house in the night looking for a confrontation that spelled trouble from the [music] start. >> All I wanted to do was talk. Is this his house or is this her house? This is his house. He's cheating on me, lying to me about it. >> So, those are all fall to the elements of stalking. Okay. And and it happening more than one time. On April the 17th, 2025, just after 1:00 a.m., New Mexico police officers rushed to a home after reports of a deranged ex-boyfriend on a rampage. When they arrived, they were met by a familiar face. Caught doing things so strange and unthinkable it left the officers stunned. >> What's going on, man? >> What's good? I've been for over a year and she's been cheating on me with this dude right here and she was not coming to the door at all and all I want to do is just talk to this dude. So, I'm honestly at I just wanted to talk but at this point I'm just going to go to admin about it. Um, she's been apparently cheating on me for months and just lying about it. And I've been hearing rumors about her being at station 6. This guy's a firefighter. Um, same car I've seen at the fire station. And all I wanted to do is talk, but now I'm going to have to report it up. So, okay. All right. All right. Is this his house or is this her house? >> This is his house. >> Is this his house? >> I'm assuming. >> Okay. >> All right. Well, cuz the thing is, dude, they they called they called us and stuff like that. Well, they called >> I'm assuming they don't want us here. >> Yeah. The Yeah, the serges and stuff like that. So, me and Kevin are here. >> Um cuz they were knocking on the door and stuff like that. And I'm like, "Okay." So, we came we came here to figure out what the hell's going on. >> Mhm. Yeah. So, I've been with her for over a year. Apparently, she's been with this dude for like like four months, close to like four months that she's been with this guy. He's cheating on me, lying to me about it. So, I just figured all this stuff out now and that's why I'm here. I'm just trying to talk to him. Okay. >> And so, how did you figure it out? >> So, essentially, um about four or five months ago, right? Like how I said that four month gap. >> Mhm. Um, we were having some issues and um, I had her location uh, because I had an Apple Air Tag in her gym bag and this address popped up. Um, and I she'd been staying here for for like weeks on end, >> right? And um she had been staying here for weeks on end. And um I basically um she would just be telling me that she was at her grandma's or or her uh >> so so apparently she' been um she'd been saying that she was at her grandma's and and stuff and I just didn't know. I just didn't I I didn't think anything of it. And um and I like I never told her anything about this address cuz she didn't want to know where. She just doesn't like me being nosy, I I guess. Or I'm assuming. >> Um but she had been living with me, too. So she would be like, "Oh, well, I'm going to my grandma's." Um and this location will pop up with her appear tag. And um and she'd come back and she'd stay with me and she'd be staying with me for weeks. And so there'd be rumors like uh well um she's talking to uh to a firefighter and I'm like no, she's not. And um I'm just so lost in my head. I'm sorry. >> Okay. Did she know anything about the air tag? >> Yeah, she did. She found it later. >> But but did she know that you had put it in her bag? >> Yeah. before she found it. >> Oh, no. >> Okay. All right. But this that was months ago. Um she found it. We just had our little dispute over it and I never mentioned anything about this address. So, and >> then tonight you decided to come over here and check it for yourself or >> Well, yeah, cuz I finally cuz I tied two together cuz the Hyundai Sonata >> Mhm. And I I have um I was told like like two months ago that she was seen uh with another dude in this this Hyundai Sonata. I'd ask her, she denied it. And then she would go and cuz it was at the department like everyone talks, right? So she would go to up to them and be like, "Hey, you didn't see me in that car? Like what what's the matter if you don't get my business?" Stuff like that. >> Matters of the heart can be messy, but this one went off the rails when he showed up in a departments vehicle. That shocking twist would wait though as the officer turned to the caller who had revelations that would make the whole situation even more jaw-dropping. >> Well, probably ain't going to let you talk to him. >> Yeah, >> we probably ain't going to let you do that. >> Yeah, I know that, but I'm not even tripping over. I just >> I just want the truth, you know? >> Right. Right. >> That's all I wanted. I just want the truth. >> Okay. All right. Sit tight for me real quick. Let me go find out some here. Okay. >> Did you know anything about an air tag? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> He did. I end up finding out. >> Yeah, I did ask him like, "Did she know you put a hair tag or did she find it?" >> Found it. >> And he he did. He admit that you found it. >> I didn't know who it was cuz we had went on vacation. And I was sitting there and I was like, "What the heck does my phone keep saying? Like it's trying to connect to something." And I didn't know what that was cuz I've never had an air tag. Well, then he started like pinging it like as if it was a headphone. And I was like, "What? We found Like he literally had I still have it. It's on my gym bag and it's slit and it was placed in there and I was like, "What the hell?" >> Do you feel like he's stalking you? >> It's one of I know it's a yes or no. I didn't up till this point. >> Okay. You didn't up until this point when he actually showed up here. >> Correct. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. All right, Troy. All right, I know I asked you questions before and stuff like that. So, but before I ask you any more questions, all right, we just going to do the Miranda rightites. All right. Okay. So, when I first arrived, all right, I was just going to do a quick synopsis. When I first arrived, I noticed you right here at the front door. Um, and then when we were called, we we did hear the knocking in the background. Okay. Was that knocking in the background, was that you? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. So, when I spoke with you, you stated that uh been in a romantic relationship. >> Okay. And that you had discovered that she was she had been cheating on you. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Um at one point of your statement, you had told me that you had put an air tag in her gym bag. >> Yes. >> Is that correct? >> Yes. >> Okay. What around when when was that that you >> like December? >> So, you put the the you put the tag in her bag in December. M >> um do you have like approximate date or you just know like >> um she went on vacation um to Florida >> and before that like a week before that um that's probably when I that's when I did it. >> Okay. >> About a week before that. >> Okay. Um do you know about when she possibly discovered it? >> Um the day of she leaving the uh that she was leaving to Florida. She um confronted me about it when she got to Albuquerque. >> Okay. All right. Um so after that incident, was there any more like any other instances of you possibly like following her or showing up places where she's at without her knowledge? >> No. >> Um >> and so how did you discover how did you discover that this is one of that this is his vehicle? So, like I said before, I discovered this address through one of the days on the Air Tag. Okay. Um, she was like saying she was going to the gym. Went to the gym and she would um because she was living with me and then um she said she wasn't um that she was going to go stay at her grandma's and um this is apparently where her grandma was or is. Um so that's like I've known of this address. Like I've always known of this address. Um, so like I always just thought this was like her grandma's address. Um, like I was I never like like ran to see who the owner was of any vehicle or anything like that. Like I always just believed her and I thought it was her grandma's. Um, so when she said she would go to her grandma's, I knew she was here. Um, as far as like following her and stuff, I've never done any of that. It was hard to wrap their heads around the fact that this guy was supposed to uphold the law, especially with the way he babbled on as if thinking a few words would cover up the storm brewing beneath. >> There is an instance where she uh where there was like a uh cuz she drives a red Jeep. Um there was a red Jeep um driving down like one of the streets like while I was on patrol and I was like, "Huh?" I cuz at the time she said that she was um like in Albuquerque or something for a doctor's appointment and um uh I just saw that red jeep. I was like there there can't it can't be. So I ran it. It wasn't her. And then I told her about it. I was like hey by the way like I thought that was you and I ran it and it wasn't. >> I was just being paranoid and she was like and she got on to me and got all mad and upset. So, um, she's always like held that grudge against me, uh, thinking that I'm trying to like follow cars, thinking it's her, but um, that was like that only instance. Um, as far as anything else, >> right? So, what provoked you to come over here tonight? So, I had learned from another officer about a day or two ago while I was on shift that was at station six uh with her red jeep and there was a male inside of her doorway and obviously still currently dating. And I was like, "The And um after learning that, like I called her, I called her, I confronted her about it." Um she was just very very like super defensive um saying that she was going to like go to admin if like I tried to like cause anything and like to keep our relationship like a secret. And um I was just so overwhelmed with emotion. Like I didn't know like I didn't want to believe it. And then backtrack. Um about five months, five months ago, um Spites had told me that was seen in a white Hyundai Sonata um driving down the street on their day off. And I was like, "No, that can't be her." her and then I confronted her about it and she was like no the I was at a chiropractor blah blah blah and I was like okay and then she confronted Switz about it was like oh keep my name out of your mouth like that's not me and then fasttrack it to here she's seen at station 6 there's a white Hyundai Sonata that I saw at station 6 when I drove by it >> when did you drive by station six >> this was like the day of him telling me that. >> No, it was 5 months ago. >> No. Uh the day um the officer told me that um she was seen at station 6. This was like 2 days ago that she was seen at station 6. >> Okay. So, you drove by station 6 to see if that car was there. >> Yeah. There's a white um Well, I wasn't necessarily looking for that specific vehicle. I was just seeing if she was there. >> Okay. >> And then while I was driving by, I noticed there was a white herat. I was like, that's just weird. I mean, but there's a lot. So, I didn't know if it was it was that one for sure. And then um um it was today um we were talking uh cuz we've been having a lot of problems with our relationship cuz she's got a lot going on apparently is what she's been saying. And um we've just been going through a lot and just argue arguing um trying to talk things through and I like I I needed someone to talk to and um she said she was going to talk to me in the morning. I was like okay cool. Said I love you good night. And um I was just curious. I was like is she I wonder if she's home um like she says she is. So I drove by here and I saw that white humana. I'm like, but I've always thought this was her grandma's house. So, I just like I'm like, "Okay." And um it just I guess all the it all came together. >> Yeah. >> Do you think it was wise knocking on the door though at one morning? >> Like I was just so overwhelmed with emotion that I just wanted to know the truth. >> His silly attempt had earned a welldeserved prize. His emotions seemed to be everywhere, even in the seat of his brain cells. A perfect recipe for trouble. After that phone call, it was time for reckoning. A reckoning of his reckless, unccalculated moves that had never been accounted for thus far. Maybe he thought the badge made him untouchable. Or maybe it was his own obsession [music] that blinded him, driving him straight to this point. >> Is she the one pressing the charges? >> She said she did want to press charges. Okay. >> All right. >> Yeah. Yeah, this one's like classified as a like it's still kind of under the Family Violence Protection Act, but this is one of those ones that you need to ask them like >> it could fall like if I meet you >> because I've never seen like stalking like on a household. That's why I was asking. >> Yeah. No, no, that's the thing. It kind of falls under the Family Protest protection act, but it's kind of not. >> You think I'm going to lose my job? >> That's not for me to determine. >> But like like do you think >> I don't know. >> Cuz I mean I didn't lay on my hands. I didn't try to fight. So, right now, right now, you're only being charged. Okay? You're not being convicted or anything like that. Okay? But granted, yes, they are going to put you on that. I'm going to let you know right now, they're going to put you on admin leave. Lieutenant Fry is already at the PD waiting on us. They'll put you on admin leave until they determine what they want to do. >> Okay. >> All right. Okay. Uh >> I just have my wall on my phone. >> Okay. No, that's fine. So, you said your rifles You said your rifle's in here. >> Yeah. I was >> um >> You said your rifle's in here, right? >> My rifle and my vest. Okay. >> All right. Here. >> All right. And then the rest of your stuff is at your place. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Yeah. We'll get the phone number for your mom. That way she can meet them to pick up the rest of your stuff. Okay. Um other than that, just go ahead and custom the front and we'll do it like that. We pretty much we kicked everybody out of the PD so that way nobody going to be there. Um we'll just sit you upstairs while I type up the paperwork and stuff like that. Okay. Take my watch off. >> Take your watch off. >> Yeah. In the end, he was charged with disorderly conduct and stalking.
