He does it to his grandfather, his grandmother. He's going to kill my father. I've never seen my father worse. Do you have any weapons or anything? No. Never have weapons in my house cuz he would have me a long time ago. He's just mean. He has no empathy, no compassion for anyone. He doesn't care about anybody but himself. no concern, care for anybody. He's just an unkind, unmpathetic person. Just I don't know why he's not been raised this way, but it's just who he is, and I can't do it anymore. I can't I can't I know he has special needs, but I've addressed him forever. What kind of special needs does he have? He's autistic. Okay. Very farreaching on the spectrum. Deeply intelligent. Okay. But he uses it for maniacal purposes. He's very untrustworthy, very savvied, very unsavory, very calculated, very manipulative. Okay. He just does all these help awful things and I don't know why he's odd. We have nobody helping helping the the He is odd. Does he see a therapist or anything? Yes, forever. We've done everything for forever. Believe me, I am I've done it all ardentedly. Yeah. All of it. He has to leave my home. Do you understand that you are his I can't care for him. Called DCF. I'm not kidding. I am not wavering anymore. Have you spoke to DCF? I told him to call DCF. I told him to call himself. I did. I gave him my phone like he cannot he cannot torture this family anymore. He cannot do it. He cannot do it. He knows what he's doing. He's almost 16 years old. He knows. We've been in this well for all of these years. None of this is new. I've been taking him to psychiatrists since he was 6 months old, saying he's blissfully defiant. Meaning he will do something wrong and laugh in your face and take the off at the same time. He's been that way since his infancy. And now he's 15. Can you imagine? Two misdemeanors, battery, 11 years old. I've been in court with him since he's 11 consistently. Yeah. Ma'am, you don't you don't want to go down that road. I don't care. You No. You work You have a job? Yes. So you don't want to lose your career? I don't care. I could lose everything. I've got nothing left. This kid is me. I'm dead. You don't understand. You're not hearing me, sir. No one does. You're not hearing me. I'm dead already. Are you feeling suicidal? No. Okay. I've been dead. I have been dead for a long time. Do you understand? Are you feeling? No. I'm not going to myself cuz I'm already dead. You understand? I have no more emotional or mental bandwidth. I am psychologically a tormented person. My doorbell rings and I think it's one of you all the time because it usually is. And it's been like that for a decade or more this incident. My dad has witnessed so much. It's Did he witness just now? No, he was in the shower. Okay. We have people in our home trying to take care of our home. He just moved in. I told you all that. It's been torture for his family and it's him. Okay. He's the root and he does it on purpose. He loves it. He's loving this. He's sick. Look at him over there. Calm and cool as can be. No one's tortured. No one's tortured over there. It's just everybody else around him that's tortured. He loves What's your first name? Jillian. Scandera. It was my poor father. Yeah. Poor dad just going. Now what? I need to go see my father. All right. Real quick know that the last thing that you I just saw a little rug mark. I don't think there's any reason for him to go to the hospital. He's full of I don't care what you do anymore. It I don't care. It doesn't matter to me anymore. You can take me to jail for hitting him. I don't care what you do. None of it matters to me anymore. That part's not up to me. I'm just from the just checking him out from that standpoint. Okay. So, I'm just gathered your information and I'm just going to have you sign on his behalf since he's a minor. Okay? And if anything changes, you can call us back. It's just stated all the information provided is confidential. I couldn't hurt him if I wanted to. He weighs twice as much as me. Okay. And I I'm I'm not disputing any of that situation with you. Thank you. Sure. That's what I've been telling to his therapist and psychiatrist doctor for a decade. He needs to be removed from my home. I can't care for him. We'll deal with that. It needs to happen because I'm telling you I can't hang out here. I need to go see how my 79year-old father is after seeing all this show that my son has created yet again. All right, that's fine. Hey, you're not free to leave here. I am going to see my 79year-old right here. Hang out right here or you're going to go in handcuffs. Stand over there. That sounds about right. Yeah, my son would love that. Listen to me. I'm conducting a criminal investigation. You're not treating me. Are you willing to give me a statement? About what? About what happened? Yeah. Hit him. He's an [ __ ] I'll do it. He's danger. I got it. Are you willing to give me a yes or no? I just hit a swarm record about what the whole It's a yes or no question. Yes. Okay. We have to read you these statements and then you can give a statement. All right. All right. So, today's date is October 30th. The time is 5:30 p.m. I am Deputy Kelly St. John's County Sheriff's Office, a law enforcement deputy conducting a criminal investigation. Before we get started, I would like to confirm that the statement is a voluntary statement, that no one has threatened you, coerced you, or induced you to give this statement. Is that correct? Yeah. At this time, I'd like to place you under oath. This will be a sworn recorded interview taken by a law enforcement deputy pursuant to Florida statute 117.10. Please raise your right hand. Do you swear affirm the statement you're about to give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? Yes. All right. And what's your current occupation? I'm a executive for construction company. Okay. And what's your educational background? I have a master's degree in business. Okay. All right. So, basically, I just want to run through what happened tonight and why we called. Basically, what you told me before, but why this third time we were here today, why were we called? Just start from the beginning. I don't know why you were called because I was not I did not call you. Okay. He needed to leave my home. Okay. Because he continues to tell me that he is going to hit me. Okay. He continues to tell me that he is not going to leave my home. Okay. And I continue to tell him that as long as he disrespects me in my home, does not follow the minimal rules in the home, which are to be loving, respectful, and cleanly, that he will not be in my home. Okay? Period. I went into his room after 24 hours of telling him to unpack his boxes, to clean his room, make his bed, put his things away, that if he did not, I would go in his room, and I would do it. I went into his room, I found open food, ants, open bottles of soda, which I don't even buy, which means he stole them. I am not living in a pigsty home when I have a 500,000 brand new home. It's going to be the second or third one that he's destroyed. I'm not living like this. All right. So what happened after that? After that, I told him again he needed to call a DCF. He needed to call his team of therapists again and again. He pressed upon them for the millionth time today that he needs to leave my home. I cannot care for him anymore. I cannot deal with his threatening ways. He needs to leave my home. And he said, "No, I'm not. You can't throw me out. I'm staying." And I hit him on his shoulder. And I told him to get after I told him to get out. You hit him on the shoulder. I just hit it. Okay. And you just like slapped him with open hand like just like this like I'm showing you right now. Like I'm hitting myself. Okay. All right. And what happened after that? He wouldn't he wouldn't leave. And that's why I got frustrated and he hit him. He just kept telling me, "No, no, no, no, no. It's my house. I'm taking back my peace, my property, and he needs to leave." And I'm going to continue saying it until you get him out because he needs to leave. He is not a well person. He tortures his family. He is a problem everywhere he goes, whether it's our church, his school, his neighborhood. He bothers everybody everywhere he goes. He's a chronic problem even since he's been on probation. He's been put in handcuffs by the police. He's been questioned by the police numerous times. And no one will do anything. Not his team of therapists. He's with the best team of therapists. So they say in Florida that says team, he he has a probation officer I've notified no numerous times. Okay. No one will do anything for me. I've been addressing his problem since his infancy. No one will do anything to help me. I mean, you mentioned he is autistic, right? He has numerous things. He's OD. He's ADHD. And he is on the spectrum. And he's also ridiculously intelligent, but he does not want to receive help. He does not want to get well. All he wants to do is continue to do all these bad deeds and make everyone around him suffer. And I don't want to suffer anymore. And what happened? I'm tired of suffering. What happened after you hit him on the shoulder? And he walked out of the house with my phone. And at the time that he was doing that, I was trying to reset the code in the AC and I needed my phone. So, I asked him for it back. And he started lying to whoever he called, the police or whoever. Oh, she's chasing me. She's following me. She's threatening me. Which was a total lie. And I kept saying, "You're lying. Stop. Stop telling the truth. I'm not chasing you. I never once chased him. Was I walking toward him?" "Yes." He said, "Oh, she's 2 ft away from me." "No, I'm about 15 ft away from you. I am not threatening you. I'm asking you for my phone. You have five more minutes. And please give me my phone back." So, he's a liar. He's a manipulator. Was there any other time that you hit him? Ever. Never. Okay. Never. I've had DCF come to my house so many times. I invite them in. They go, "Oh, Ashra says that there's a hole in his wall. You did it." Okay. Go and look at his room, please. Did uh full disclosure, I have been so transparent or Oh, he's hit me numerous times today. No, no, no. I told you that already. I know. I just We're doing a sworn interview, so it's different. So, and then you followed him there and then what happened? Nothing. Okay. He came. Then we got here. I saw the the truck or whatever the Okay. And I went over and I approached them. Okay. And I walked away from him cuz I thought, "Okay, well, maybe this is a response person. Maybe they could help me. Maybe someone someday ever could finally offer me some help." But of course, we see that's never going to happen. All right. He's just over there laughing. Just don't even pay attention to him right now. I have to pay attention to him. Why? Cuz you're not going to remove him. You're not going to remove him from my home and help me. You're just going to let him be a malignant narcissist. A pompous hang out over here. Why? We're conducting a criminal investigation. Oh god, I hear a joke. Joke. Just hang out there. Okay. And he's loving it. The only person that's ashamed and embarrassed and continually publicly I'm sure he's not loving it. Oh, no. He's loving it. You I'm sure he's not. You're You're You Sir, with all due respect, he's loving this. Okay. If he could get it on video right now, he would. I have a phone full of it. Um I could go ask the dad, but I don't want to leave you here alone. I'm allowed to snip her and go. Um, okay. Sorry, I had to call DCF cat and all that. Um, who' you who who else? Cat. Cat. The cat team and mobile services was safe. They were out here earlier. They tried to offer her multiple. They came out here to evaluate her for BF. Yeah. I just I also did that. She said I tried to offer her multiple services to help him. She cussed him out, sent the door in their face. the director called or the director came and tried to sweet talk him or her way I don't of one of them the director tried to be super friendly and say hey you know you need these services and same thing so okay all right ma'am I'm going to read you your constitutional rights okay do you understand each of the rights as I've explained to you Mhm. Having these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me now about what happened? No. Okay. I've already talked to you about what happened. Okay. So, you don't wish to talk to me? I'm not talking to you anymore. I've already talked to you. I was just going to ask you some other questions. I've asked I've answered every question. Okay. I've been very honest and very transparent with you. That's fine. I was just going to ask you some other questions. I have housekeepers in my home that I need to pay. How much longer am I going to be sitting here? As long as necessary. And we're done with our criminal investigation. A criminal investigation? Yep. What does What does that even mean? We're investigating a crime. What's the crime? An alleged crime. What is the alleged crime that I Okay. He's also got red marks on his neck. So on his neck? Well, they're not for me. I Well, I was asking I was going to ask you about that, but I I can't tell you anything about that, sir. I don't know anything about it because it wasn't done by me. Okay. If I could put my arms around his neck right now, I promise you I would. Okay. But I didn't. There's no lie in my game. Okay, that's fine. Well, that's what I was going to ask you about. Well, there now is your there's your answer. I would never put my hands on his neck. I'd like to, but I wouldn't. Okay. So, if he did that to himself, which wouldn't be at all surprising to me because he'd love to bury me alive. He's been doing it for 15 years. He's lied to DCF a billion times. I told him once I he I hit him with a pink spatula. I don't even cook. He goes out to dinner almost every night. I don't even own a spatula. He's a joke. He's a liar and a deceiver and a joke. And his criminal records chosen. Can't stay out of trouble to save his life. I was told we talked to says sees Yeah. They said they were here and that you slammed the door in their face. Oh, I slammed the door in their face. They were trying to offer you services. I Excuse me. They were trying to offer services. They were trying to offer any They were not. That is a lie. They were trying to offer me therapeutic services. They were not trying to So, I did slam the door on their face probably about 15 times because they would not do anything for me. Okay. They were trying to offer me a therapist. Good news is I've had a therapist since I was in undergrad that I've known for about 30 years now and who I see on a very regular basis who knows me as a friend as well as a therapist. And the only person that's in therapy is me participate. I'm in therapist. Two therapists actually probably a team of five. Yeah. Yep. All the same. Yeah. She didn't want to talk about um after I had Mirandized her. Um and then when she asked why I was doing a criminal investigation, I told there's alleged that um about the strike on the shoulder with the hand and that he has red marks on his neck. And then she said she would never uh she would never do that. But she would if uh I'd love to. She'd love to. I'd love to put my hands on his neck right now. I absolutely would. But I didn't. Here's where we're at right now. He's alleging that you laid hands on him. I slapped him. I got red marks. You're saying you laid hands on him. So, right now, you're under arrest. Do me a favor and stand up or anybody, but stand up. I slapped him on his shoulder. I did not put my hands on his neck. Stand up, ma'am. Come on. Put your hands behind your back. Just so you know, your charges are DV battery. What's a lie about it? All of it. All you just said you hit him. I hit him on his shoulder. I guess I No, it's not. It's battery in the state of Florida. Well, it is not. It's a lie. It's an absolute lie. Okay. Do you have anything in your pockets on you at all? No, but I'd like to speak with my father. Okay. Show 4284 with one shot. Do you have uh her phone? Yeah. I have photos of my room that she tore apart on there. I think on something that one of my therapists Okay. Lori at the cat team. Okay. It's across the street from you guys. Okay. You got photos down here? Uh, no. Paper May on the phone. Okay. Let me see if I can get that. Um, that's all right. Um, the tiring up your room is honestly not even a crime. Unless she did something to you. No. I mean, you've already told us everything she did to you just before we got here, right? Okay. All right. Yeah, that that's enough. She's going to be going to jail for um All right. Just hang out a sec. Can I go? Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Yep. He is supposed to leave my house in decompress. He does not follow his care plan. Okay. And that is why I hit him on his shoulder. Where is he supposed to go? He is supposed to even take a walk around the block, even sit on the front porch. Yeah, come down here so she can talk to you. That is his haircut. I'm sure he already asked you, sir. Uh, you didn't witness anything, any of the incident. You were in the shower. Not yet. I was looking for a towel. Okay. I was brushing my teeth. Okay. [Music] I do. I'll grab you one. And they're arresting me for Yeah. He said you have I hit him on the shoulder. Too many. No, dude. I feel bad this one from him. Yeah. Absolutely. Same thing over there. Yeah. Absolutely. Do you swear or affirm the statement you were about to give will be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? Yeah. So, earlier you guys came out here because she said she was going to kick me out of the house. Okay. And she tore my room apart and stuff uh because she kind of rapper or something. Okay. And you guys came, you guys said you guys can't do anything unless she kicks me out or something. Uh so then she said she was going to kick me out again. She gave me her phone and she said, "Call somebody and get out." So I called my therapist and they said, "You she can't kick you out, don't you? Just tell you're not going to leave, right? I told her that and she said, "You're getting out of my house tonight." I said, "My she kept saying over and over and then uh she put her hand on my neck and she said, "You're getting out of my house now." And I said, "No, she hit me a few more times in my back." Okay. And then uh she told me to get out. How did she hit you? How did she grab your neck and ask? Okay. And where are the scratch marks from her nails? Yeah, that's from my nails. Okay. And your back? my back a few times. Like slapped you, punched you? No, with a closed fist. She closed fist, punched you in the back. Okay. And do you have any injuries on your back? Okay. All right. Um, what happened? She kicked me out of the house. She was chasing me down the stairs and then I came out here. Okay, good. And she came right here and she ran on her phone following me around. Okay. And then um and then what happened after that? Did you just back inside and then she came back out again, tried following me some more? Okay. And she walked up to the ambulance, started yelling at them. Okay. And what did she say to you when she put her hands on your neck? Get out of my house. Okay. Anything else? No. All right. Did she threaten you in any way? Uh, when she was out here, she told me I'm going to need an ambulance soon if I give her phone back. Okay. Has she ever strangled or choked you? Uh, today. Yeah. All right. Was your breathing restricted? No. Did she have access to firearms or any weapons? weapons? No. I mean, there's kitchen knives and stuff, but not really. Okay. Um, has she ever threatened to commit suicide? No. All right. Anything uh for you, sir? You have any questions? Do you have any questions? No. All righty. She's going to be there at least till late in the morning. Yeah. Yeah. And she'll see the judge. Yeah, she'll see the judge. I guess depending on whether she calms down or not. Yeah. Things will go good or bad for her. Yeah. Um, she has a phone so she can call here. Yeah. Yeah. Other than that, I don't know what else to do. Okay. DCF's going to come out and they can they're going to have to come up with uh some sort of um I guess it's a like a contract of how he's where he's allowed to be, where she's allowed to be, and if they need to be separated or what needs to happen in the future. They would create that plan. Mhm. Um so, but they could have done that before. This could have been she's been trying to I've heard they've been out here, too. So, I don't know what's happen. This is the first time I've been here. But I mean, she's been he's been going to therapy for years and she's been asking for help and it's always Yeah. Well, so SE was here earlier today and I was told by SE the upper staff that she slammed the door on them when they were trying to offer her services as well, which they believe that she needs some sort of psychological help as well. Yeah, they believe. Yeah. So, it's a two-way commitment. you know, if he's getting therapy and help, she should also be getting some therapy and help. I can't speak too much after that. I mean, there's not much else. I'm really here just for the criminal investigation of of how it got physical between them. Um, SE will also hopefully come back out and maybe speak with you guys. Um, but at least DCF's on their way now, so um, they're going to want to talk to you. Okay. Okay. All right. All righty. And just please call us if if you see them getting physical or verbal and don't hesitate to call us as well, okay, in the future. Um, and I hope it stops here. Hopefully, yeah, hopefully she'll chill. Yeah, she can't grab his neck and stuff like that. So, I didn't know she did this to be honest with you. If you guys need anything, just let me know. I'll be back over here in a couple of minutes with uh some of your victim stuff. All right. All right. All righty. The woman was charged with battery, cruelty toward a child, neglect of a child, and violation of conditional
