Uh she was mad cuz uh we have guests and um they've been here for a while, but I've [music] been going to work a lot. >> She was just mad that I wasn't cleaning the bathroom even though they were her guest. >> You see that took three of y'all and you even choked me. You choked you. But you know WHAT THE GREAT FATHER AND GRANDMOTHER TO DO TO YOU? Y'ALL ASS. THEY GOING TO WHOOP YOUR KIDS ASS. YOUR GRANDMOTHER'S ASS. Your grandfather's ass. >> While it is normal for [music] siblings to fight each other once in a while, there are some siblings who are so toxic that they have to take things to [music] the extreme. But what happens when these toxic siblings have to get the police involved? >> Telling the 15year-old this, this, that, and the other. So, he's telling them that y'all going to talk to me like this. I'mma beat y'all. So, he goes around my house and starts picking up and starts threatening everybody. Every time I call y'all on her, it's your mother. She allowed to hit you. It's your mother. She's allowed to hit you. Little she not. It's your mother. She's allowed to hit you. >> So, if it's my sister, I'm allowed to hit her. Here are several instances where toxic siblings have to get the police involved. Starting with the case of these intoxicated brothers who turned an argument into an exchange of blows. >> I got hit by my brother. >> What happened exactly? >> We got into a fight. >> Are you injured? Do you want an ambulance? >> Yeah. >> So, how did all how did it all start? >> Well, it started from him slapping me in the face. >> Nobody got beat up. Well, what's with the blood on your uh elbows? What are you talking about? >> On June the 23rd, 2024, officers received a call regarding [music] a domestic dispute between two brothers named Ricky and James. Upon arrival, the officers realized the situation was far [music] more serious than they thought. >> I got by my brother. >> What happened exactly? >> We got into a fight. >> Are you injured? Do you want an ambulance? >> Yes. >> Okay. Where is he right now, >> sir? Hello. Are you there? >> Yeah, it's cancelled. What? Sir, where is the where is your brother right now? >> Leave me alone. >> Okay, you called 911. I'm just trying to gather further information. >> Just get here. Don't say nothing no more right now. Don't say a word. >> Sir, I am the one asking the questions right now. >> I know, but don't say anything [music] right now, please. >> Are you in danger? >> I don't want him. Let No, I'm on the line. Please. Okay. Apparently, you guys are being rascal guys. Deputy Oesi. What's going on, guys? >> Hi. >> Hey. What's up? >> How you doing? How you guys doing today? >> Good. >> Good. >> What are you doing here, sir? >> Doing right, sir. There's like a disturbance or something, man. Something going on. >> Nothing? No, I'm just cleaning up the house. >> Want to talk with him outside? >> You just want to come out here? I'll talk to you out here, sir. >> He's going to talk to you outside, >> sir. We'll just step out here. Okay. >> We'll go over there. >> So, you're the caller, correct? >> So, tell me what's what's going on. How'd this all start? We had a little fight. >> Okay. I see obviously you guys are drinking. >> Yeah. It was like an argument or >> Yeah. >> How did all how did it all start? >> Um, >> you know, I see you got the injured eye here. Do you want to get an ambulance out just to check you out? I mean, >> no, I actually don't. >> Cuz you have a cut, you know, and their glasses probably caused that. >> It's fine. No, I didn't. I just straighten them out. Whatever. >> Were you wearing glasses when you got hit? >> You realize that we we are fighters normally. >> You're what? >> We're fighters normally, but >> normally you are. And then the booze doesn't make any better. >> Yeah. >> Hey. Hey. Well, no. >> I'll have you I'll even go inside. Okay. >> Oh, >> I'll come back and I'll talk to you in a second. >> All right. Sounds good. >> Yeah. What's going on? >> Cleaning the house. >> So, we heard there was something going on. All right, man. So, >> nothing. >> Nothing other than brother. >> Brother? >> Yeah. Just kicking them out. >> Kicking them out. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Let me get your name. >> Clean up the house. >> Yeah. >> What happened here, dude? >> Nothing. Just got rid of the TV. >> Just got rid of the TV. >> Yeah. >> All right, man. Can I get your Can I get your name? >> James. >> James. Middle name? >> James. Can you shut the door? Cuz I don't want my cats getting home. >> Sure. >> Oh my god. >> Oh, here. >> I'll come back in here. I'll talk to you for a second. Okay. >> Yeah, let's come outside. >> No, no, I'll have you I'll have you go inside. Okay. >> Oh, >> I'll come back in. I'll talk to you in a second. Despite the [music] initial refusal to discuss what had happened with the officers, the older brother, Ricky, soon began to tell his side of the story. >> Okay. You guys got a cigarette? >> No, I don't smoke. >> But anyway, >> how you guys doing, man? >> Just tell us what happened. You said you guys started fighting. What led up to this? >> Pretty good hustle, man. I mean, you know, I mean, I >> I can see you got the injuries. >> What do you think he's doing in there? >> Think he's sweeping up floor? So, how did all how did it all start? >> Well, it started from him slapping me in the face and I'm the older brother, >> so you're not going to slap me, man. >> Any weapons or anything in the house? >> No. No. >> No. >> No. No. There's no guns, nothing. No. >> Okay. We ain't allowed to have him. >> So, as you were saying, he slapped you. Why? Why'd he slap you? >> Because uh we're It's been a It's I had a drunk driving, you know. I have to go through a whole bunch of he bought me a few things jumping off and he goes and he slap me in the face. So anyway, from there we went to the fist fighting. >> Okay, >> cuz I'm not a you know what I mean? He I'm your older brother. I never beat you up. My older brother's in there too and he's chilling. He's like what? Yeah. Anyway, this just back up right here, man. That's all. >> Okay. So >> yeah, but anyway, the bottom line is that uh I got sport pretty good. >> Yeah. >> And I I trolled him and we punched each other pretty good. >> This the one that's shirtless right now. >> Yeah, that's my brother. >> That's the one that slapped you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> But at the same time, I mean, we tussled for a while. >> I thought he was going to come. >> He was throwing temper tension, >> which is uh just wait. >> He's just going to talk to them. Just talk to us out here. >> Yeah. >> All right. Just relax though. >> Yeah. >> I mean, don't be >> No, we're not going to talk though. >> Which brother, guys? It's right there. >> All right. When you're done, we're going to go inside and we're going to talk. All right. >> Yeah. >> All right. Talk. I don't know why you guys are even here. >> Well, we got called. So, >> who called you? >> Somebody did. >> I don't know who called you. >> Okay. >> Yeah. I haven't done nothing wrong. Period. So, I'm just getting rid of him, that's all. How you guys doing? >> Good. Why don't you finish up and we'll go inside. >> All right. Sounds good, man. >> How you guys doing? Doing >> all right. Sorry. >> I don't know why you guys are here. >> I'm stunned. >> Is there another brother inside or is it just you two? >> My brother, Chuck. Yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah, we're all good. The officers could clearly see that the other brother, James, was not ready to open up, indicating that there was more to him than meets the eye. >> What's the problem, guys? Why' you guys get called? >> You tell me. We got called for a reason. >> I've never called you guys. >> Well, somebody called us and said that they got beat up. >> Nobody got beat up. >> Well, what's with the blood on your uh elbows? >> What are you talking about? >> Something happened. What happened? That's my brother out there. >> Uhhuh. >> Chuck, tell them what happened. >> So I ain't got to explain it. >> Huh? >> I didn't see nothing. >> I didn't see nothing either. >> Nothing happened. >> Nothing happened. >> Okay. >> I just took my TV out of here. >> Nothing happened, Chuck. >> I This is closed. >> So you didn't see anything? >> No, I didn't. I was >> And nothing Nothing happened? >> No. >> Okay. I told you the truth. You'd be taking him to jail, not me. >> Okay. Well, tell me what happened then. No, I'm not going to tell you nothing. >> Okay. >> Yeah, that's >> threw a bunch of [ __ ] around. That's all that happened. >> Who threw a bunch of [ __ ] around? >> Nobody. >> Well, >> yeah, we're done. >> [ __ ] got down because no one wants >> I'm sorry. >> You got a lot more things to go around here. >> What? Chuck, what's Can I get your information, Chuck? >> What do you want? >> Well, uh, just because I got to I got to put in the report who I talked to and everything like that. >> Chuck, don't say nothing. >> No, I just got to get his information, that's all. Oh, you ain't got to you ain't got to talk. >> Can I just get your information? It's your first name. >> Middle initial, last name, date of birth. That's all >> here to >> That's all that's all I need. >> No, we we need to go. Come on. Just Chuck, let him go. >> I didn't see nothing. >> I'm just going to get your information. That's it. >> If you didn't see anything, you didn't see anything. >> Okay. Howard is H O W A R D. >> Yep. >> All right. You're awesome. >> And what's your last name? >> I don't know. >> Come on, dude. >> Let's go. No, dude. You You're in my house. Come on, man. >> Well, we got called here for a reason. So, we're here for a reason. >> Who called you? >> Somebody called us and said that they got beat up and they wanted EMS to come here. >> Is there anybody beat up? >> Well, it looks like he's got some facial injuries. You got some injuries on your elbows. >> No. What are you talking about? >> Right there. >> Well, that's from work. >> Okay. >> Going. >> Can I just get your information? That's all I need. It's pretty simple. He gave me his. I just got to just got to tell everybody who I was talking to. That's about it. No, I'm not giving you no information. >> You're not giving any information at all. >> Zero. >> Okay. >> Well, why is that? >> I just don't know why you're even here. >> I told you. I just told you. >> Anybody called you? Because there's no one could have possibly called you. I'm cleaning my house up. I'm getting my TV out of here. I'm painting. I'm in the middle of processing my house. >> What do you mean processing? >> Yeah. This house looks like Don't you Don't you see? I got to paint. >> So, you're done. You're done. You're trying to clean up and stuff. >> I'm trying to clean right now. And this guy over here. >> What's that from over there? >> It's worthless. >> What's all that blood on that basket? >> I have no idea. >> Okay. >> No, not >> James refusal to comply and provide the officer with the information slowly began to heat up the situation. In the meantime, Ricky continued to explain what had triggered the fight. >> Well, here's the deal. I'm going to go outside quick. I'm going to come to Hey, hold on. >> Yeah. These are all my >> I'm going to come back in here. I'm going to come back in here. I'm just going to talk with you. All right. So, just stay right there and I'll be right back in. Okay. >> We all love each other. >> I don't know what happened there. >> All right. I'll be back in a minute. >> That's weird. >> So, you guys started arguing if that he was upset. You got a drunk driving ticket. It >> was a year ago, though. >> Yeah. >> But either way, he bought me a He bought me a vehicle. Got it. It's all trash. Got it from a Hispanic guy in Watertown. whatever. >> Either way, it escalated. >> Yeah. >> That's the way it ended up. >> So, basically, you guys were sitting there arguing back and forth about the car that he bought you. >> And all a sudden, he just slapped you right across the face. >> Yeah. And then it turned into a major. Yeah. I'm talking about like throw knocked on. >> Yeah. I got trolled. He got trolled. You know, it's you know, it's it is what it is. You know what I mean? Um, so yeah, >> it's it's really not a good situation, but you know, um I thought he was going to come out and try to try me again and I really can't deal with it then cuz he's like not only he's younger than me, he's a really good fighter. >> Mhm. >> You know, so I really couldn't deal with it. So I had to bend my glasses out too old. Try to see again. Bust the TV. I can't see nothing the TV. >> Yeah. So, it really turned into a really uh bad situation. So, anyways, you going to let me back in? >> Not right now. Cuz your brother doesn't want to give me any of his information. Doesn't want to talk to me. Nothing like that. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. He's You told me to go in there not being a But he's not telling me anything. >> Yeah. Exactly. So, >> I mean, there's blood all over the floor in there. He's got bloody elbows. He won't tell me. And your other brother, Chuck, he won't He didn't see anything. He said nobody saw anything in there. Okay. >> But basically after he slapped you, that's when you guys started to just duke it out with each other and >> Yeah. It's it's it's brother fight, you know, each other off. I mean, you know. >> Mhm. >> How long you guys lived here together for? >> About 5 years. >> 5 years. All All the brothers live here? >> Never been in a fight with my brother ever. In my life? No. Never. >> Okay. >> But he slapped me and that kind of set me off a little bit. Yeah. So, you know. >> Mhm. You know, I would rather be punched. Slap me in the face. It's on. >> Yeah. >> I mean, >> you guys are look like you're pretty in pretty good shape, but that guy right there. You guys ain't enough shape for that guy. >> Yeah. >> I know. I'm really serious about that, too. You look skinny. Maybe he looks like a winger, >> but you guys are going to have You guys got your tasers, right? >> That's the only way you're going to get out of that. >> Yeah. >> Just let me know. Seriously, you can ask the sheriff. >> Has this has this ever happened before? Like you and your brother getting in a fight? >> Although Ricky was cooperative with the officers, things were still difficult to resolve due to James' refusal to comply. >> But [clears throat] uh he's had cops out here before and he had slammed somebody on the ground. >> They tased him, ripped it right out of his shirt. Yeah. So he's not the person to deal with. That's why I called you. >> Okay. >> I didn't want to get hit. But yeah, you're not dealing with the average person in there. >> Mhm. What's your brother's name? >> James. >> James. Okay. >> Yeah. I think he slammed somebody right out here on the concrete. I was out here for that. >> Mhm. >> I got to see that. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You guys are channel. I mean, you guys are doing your job, but he he slammed the guy to right off the concrete. >> Yeah. >> But because he's defending himself because he got in a fight over Aselon in >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Aelon in is uh >> That's why I was out here last time. >> Yeah. I remember you guys. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> You might have been the guy that got slammed. You weren't the one coming around the tree and trying to jump my brother. >> No, I was here taking the report. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. No, I wasn't the one that if I got slammed on the ground, there would be different issues. >> Well, I know that. But still, I mean, you know, when you deal with somebody that's pretty swift, I'm pretty good, too, but I'm retired. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. He's not the person you really want to with. >> Yeah. So basically, >> I dealt with that today. >> So you guys got into like a fist fight after that. You say he was like throwing stuff around the house, like breaking your TV and stuff like that. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Now, is it your TV? >> No. >> No, it's his. Yeah, >> it's his. >> Okay. But so you came out here and that's when you heard stuff kind of just banging around that type of stuff? >> No. No. I I I don't want to go to jail. That's for sure. >> No. I I just want him to >> I just want you guys telling him to relax and leave me alone. >> Yeah. Okay. >> You know what I mean? >> I think it'll be calm right now because I think he's >> Will you do me a favor? >> I'll be in the talk with you in a minute. All right. >> I know. I'm just teasing. >> Yeah. >> But either way. >> Okay. Yeah. I'll come in and talk to you in a second, James. All right. >> Yeah, we're good. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. We just got We're just trying to figure out the whole situation, man. That's all. >> We're good. >> I'm not pressing charges. I know he's not going to. >> Yeah, >> he punched me in my face. >> Yeah. >> For no reason. >> Mhm. >> What happened to your elbow? >> Not for no reason. But >> what happened to your elbows then? >> I don't even know to be honest. I didn't even know that until you said that to me. I was just >> Yeah. >> I I was working. >> All right. I mowed this whole entire lawn. Matt, I work 12 days in a row. I work every day. I work finestly. >> Yeah. >> You know, I'm 12 hours a day, six days a week. I we work 12 days in a row and I only get one day off and this is the day I'm mowing my lawn. >> Yeah. >> So, >> well, we'll talk to you in a in a second. Okay, James, I'm just going to we're just going to finish talking to your brother and then I'll come and I'll talk to you. Okay, >> sounds good. >> Okay. Thank you. >> Yeah. >> Yep. All right. Thank you. >> In a bad mood and I'm not looking to >> No. Oh, I appreciate it. >> So, we'll just be in a second. Okay. >> Ricky could not help but detail how much of a troublemaker his brother was. With his details about James, the officer could clearly see how James was the prime instigator in the incident. >> So, >> see, that's what I was saying. He goes, "I'm not in a bad mood." Like, it really makes a difference to you, mother. >> Yeah. >> Whether he's in a bad mood or not, he goes, "I'm not in a bad mood." So, if he said, "I'm in a bad mood," that would be a word for you guys. I mean, just to let you know that >> you're not dealing with the average mother around here. >> Yeah. >> So, anyway, I'm glad he said I'm not in a bad mood. Mhm. >> Because otherwise you guys would like your guns and your tasers and all that you guys got doesn't mean nothing. >> Mhm. >> Would be a terrible situation to be in. >> Yeah. Well, thing is we get called out here and you know I mean since you guys live together this is a domestic, you know what I mean, man. So figure out the whole situation. >> So I think what we'll do is we'll go inside. We'll talk to to James about the situation. Okay. >> You want to chill out here with him? >> Wait, hang on. Yeah. >> I want to be able to make my way in there to make sure I'm going to be okay. >> Okay. >> Cuz I got no TV for the rest of night. >> Okay. Well, >> so um just let you know that uh want to make sure everything's going to be all right before you guys leave. >> Have to call you back. >> Yeah, we'll make sure. >> Yeah, >> we'll make sure. Okay. >> Because let me tell you something. >> It's not a person. I mean, I'm I'm talking about like leave it alone. >> Yeah. >> You know what I mean? Type if you guys don't want to have your bubbles looking like mine face. >> Mhm. >> That's a little more serious, right? I mean, doing that to cops. >> I know. I know. I know. But still, I mean, I've been in prison seven times. >> Yeah. >> I've resisted. And really, it's >> the worst case scenario is to resist. Usually, I'm like, come on. Yeah. >> Yeah. Cuz otherwise >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You're going to get grinded elbows. >> Yeah. >> Rashing your face. Whatever. >> Yeah. So, I'm just going to go We're going to go inside, talk to James real quick. >> This deputy right here is just going to sit out here with you. Okay. You want to just get his information? Yeah. Real quick, >> just like the door. Okay. >> Hey, James. >> Yeah. Hey, what's going on, man? So, >> I just dropped a cigarette in my mouth. >> All right, dude. Can I Can I talk to you in here? Is that cool? >> No. >> Right in here in the kitchen. >> Yeah. Be great. >> All right, man. >> Yeah. >> So, this looks like obviously because I work 12 days in a row and nobody does. Can you shut that door? Just leave it open here. >> Just like leave it cracked. >> My god, my cats will let out. Other words, we got to go outside. You want to go outside and talk? I'd like to be better. >> Want to go outside? We'll go around the house then. Or like on the side. Okay. I don't want you being by your brother. Okay. >> I don't want to. >> I'm fine with my brother. >> So, we're going to go right over here. Okay. >> All right. >> To make himself look good, James decided to tell his [music] side of the story as well after being rude to the officers initially. But things were already beginning to look bad for him, and it might have been too late. Are >> you doing all right, man? I mean, I see you got like blood on your ear and stuff like that. >> I I thought I'm doing all right. I didn't know I was doing bad. That's why he said I had elbows. >> I said you got blood on your elbows and everything. >> Elbows. Yeah. I just mowed. So I don't Yeah, I'm fine. >> Yeah. So tell me about what happened, dude. >> I don't even know what happened. >> No. >> Be honest. Just got off work doing mowing. >> Mhm. >> String trimmed as >> you see. Mowed the whole entire lawn. >> Mhm. >> Um I get work 12 days in a row. I get one day off. >> Yeah. >> And that's all that really happened. >> Yeah. How long you been living with your brother for, dude? >> I'm helping him out. >> Yeah. >> He has no vehicle. He has nothing. >> Mhm. >> He's pretty much. >> Yeah. >> Same with my other brother, so I'm helping them out as much as I can. >> It's kind of what I got repaid tonight. >> I'm surprised that I didn't call you instead of them. >> But to be be honest with you, it's kind of >> Yeah. >> You know. >> No, I understand. So, just just walk me through what happened, man. I know you guys got in an argument. It obviously got physical. Well, I'm not It never went physical. I'll never I'm not going to talk about it. >> No. >> No. >> Okay. >> Cuz other words, he's going to go to jail. >> Yeah. >> If I talked about it, he'd go to jail. >> Yeah. >> And I'm not going to put him in jail. I'm trying to help him out, but he's out of here after tonight. He's He's going to He's going to move on. He's going to get his own place. I've helped him out. Like I said, he hasn't had a job, no driver's license, no nothing. >> Mhm. And I've been supporting him >> for the longest time. >> Yeah. >> For like over a year. >> And finally he's got a job and whatever else. And >> things went really south tonight. >> And I'll say I never put my hands on him first. >> Okay. >> You know, obviously you can see there's a >> So you got kind of a Yeah. puffed up lip right there, man. >> Out of nowhere. >> Yeah. And I was sitting there and he's buzzed up cuz he's a full-blown alcoh alcoholic. >> I drank tonight. I'm drinking tonight. I'll be honest. My only day off, I'm drinking, mowing the lawn, enjoying myself. Not enjoying myself, but I'm doing all the you're supposed to do like a man's supposed to do. >> Yeah. >> And whatever happened happened. I don't want him to go to jail. >> Yeah. >> But I'll tell you what, >> by no means did I ever put my hands on him first. Mhm. >> And that's how it all, excuse my language, but that's all that transpired. >> Yeah. >> And and I just wanted him gone. >> Mhm. >> That's what I told him. I said, "Tomorrow, I [music] don't want you guys gone. I don't want you living here no more. I need your >> Your other brother that lives here, too, with you?" >> Yeah. My other brother, he's he's my older brother. He's actually uh decent. Pays rent. Goes He's >> Yeah. That's all. >> Just look at his record. That's all you got to do, man. >> James couldn't find one positive thing to say for his brother Ricky. He made sure he painted him so badly that the officer would see him as the villain of the [music] story. But unfortunately for James, the officers were not as dumb as he thought. >> And he's screwed me so bad. >> Yeah. >> And then punched me in my face tonight. >> I was like, And then he calls you guys cuz I was so stunned. I'm cleaning up. I I took my TV out because I bought him a brand new TV and I took it out and threw it in the garbage. >> I said, "You ain't getting it." That's why you seen the TV was gone. They didn't clean the I have my own bedroom back there. I got my own TV and everything. >> Mhm. >> My own like my cats and whatever. >> Yeah. >> So, I eliminated that. I said, "You ain't get no TV now." >> Mhm. I got you. James, I got your >> I got your last I got your last name, man. What was your middle name? So, here's the thing, man. So, I heard I heard a different story from your brother. All right. Sure. So, [laughter] he's saying you guys started to argue. Okay. And he's saying that you slapped him first. >> Never slapped him. >> No. >> I was mowing. No. >> Never at all. >> Nothing. Nothing. >> Okay. >> No. Never slapped him. I was actually doing cat litter and stuff. No. Where you came up with that? Why would I slap my brother? >> Yeah. >> Never did it. >> No. >> No. >> So, what what what happened, dude? I know you didn't want to talk to me about it first. just kind of walk me through it. >> I don't even know what happened to be honest with you. I was doing the lawn just like you saw it >> and I walked in. >> He was doing whatever he was doing and I think I went in my bedroom, whatever. You know, I'm having a few beers. I mean, obviously you can tell I'm had a few beers. I mean, like >> and think we got an argument over dishes or something cuz he the house wasn't clean or whatever. >> Mhm. And I was like, you know, I I worked 12 days in a row and I only get two days off, you know, kind of yeping at him and whatever, whatnot. And as I was yeping at him, >> pasted me, punched me in my mouth. >> Yeah. With like right hand like closed fist. >> I to be honest with you, when I was talking to him, I was stunned >> because we were both talking to each other and he knows better than do that cuz I'm [clears throat] taking care of him. I'm I'm paying all the bills, electricity, everything. He pays a couple hundred bucks a month. >> Mhm. >> And he has no driver's license, drunk driving, you name it. Record like no other. >> Yeah. >> And I'm taking care of him. So, I was done. >> Mhm. >> And that's why I said to him, "You're done >> tonight. That's why I think he called you." Yeah. Yeah. >> I grabbed this TV, the TV that I paid for that he's watching. >> And I said, "You're not watching TV no more." So, I took it out and I threw it in the garbage >> and I said all the He had You see all the clutter on the top of the TV? >> Oh, yeah. >> I ripped it all down and I said, "You ain't you know I'm punishing him." >> Yeah. >> That you ain't going to sit in my house and pay $300 a month not doing nothing. >> Mhm. >> And then punch me in my face. And then after he punched you, did you guys get in like a scuffle? I'm guessing like fight back and forth. >> I I don't want to talk about that part. >> No. >> No. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> I just wanted him gone. >> Yeah. >> Yeah.
