feel it I know on the 22nd of October 2023 the staff at Tampa International Airport called the police department to report a drunk individual who was causing a disturbance upon arrival the police officer met with the clearly intoxicated man who denied consuming any alcohol however after his slur speech gave him away he became more honest with the cop and admitted to having a good time with his past a red light and immediately conducted a traffic stop when he approached the vehicle he came face to face with the driver who tried playing smart by claiming she didn't think the traffic light was meant for the lane she went through the driver was easygoing at first and complied with the officer but little did the officer know that her Angelic face was only a facade that concealed a more ran the red light and acted sluggishly during her conversation with the cop let me explain it to you all what I want you to do first is stand with your your right foot in front of your left foot just only sucked in their Mastery of the law they also ended up realizing that their shallow knowledge about the law wasn't enough to save them from from Justice I don't want you to think that I'm being report about a drunk female who ran into a pole and multiple vehicles at a parking lot with her car police officers immediately responded by driving out to the location to determine what the situation was when they arrived they spoke with some witnesses who explained that the young girl had gone wild and tried running people over with their vehicle so what happened I don't know exactly what happened out here um I stepped out in a hard commotion this young lady was they I guess crashed into the pole and then came back they tried to stop her and then she crashed in these two cars so this gentleman over there could give you more of what's going on cuz he was involved and he's one I called the first time around so did you see anything or you just not personally see anything who wasn't 20 years old so we checked her ID and I could peel the top piece of her ID off actually 1022 looks like transar is here hey so it's not her she said there's two people in the restaurant that were attacked I need to get looked at one was attacked and one was in the car with her and got hit she was she was trying to leave and he was on the phone with the cops and he was in the car with her no my hostess who didn't know that that was the female that I kicked out of here she thought she needed help so she was I don't know I'm not really sure why she got in the car with her I'm not even going to lie she's very young so that happened they called me I thought somebody was out here robbing them she walked up to me she's bleeding all down her face my Su chef let's go check them out and more after getting more statements from those involved the officers realized that the situation was more tricky than they had thought a DUI investigator was then called to the location to conduct an investigation of the case you can breath me I'm fine so I'm officer snag Police Department absolutely and right over here yeah so I'm a DUI investigator uhhuh I got called to the team because the officer spoke to you investigating the crash he seen certain indicators of impairment M that that he wanted me to have come and check you out I'm going to advise you that my investigation is a criminal investigation whereas his was a civil investigation just to determine who's at fault in the traffic crash okay because my investigation is criminal in nature I'm going to have to R your rights that's a formality that's something I have to do before I can ask you any questions if you want to answer questions when I finish reading your rights to you I'll ask them to you but you under she raised several unnecessary questions and challenged the officer's decision to keep her in custody for 8 hours because of the DUI arrest face the car on all right what you can do next is placing your hands behind your back all right placing you on the arrest for the UI all right yes ma'am and this time I do believe that you you're impaired should not have been operating your vehicle and because of that You' being arrested for anyi now because you're being arrested for the UI I'm going to be transporting you down to our Central bread testing facility M you mentioned taking a bread test when I first started speaking to you now is when I'm going to ask you to take the bread test okay the bread test is designed to test the alcoholic content of your bread if you to provide me a bread sample that comes back to be at or above 8 the driver's license is going to be suspended for 6 months are you willing to take that bread test since you since you're not show no I would love to say yes I just what is my other options I'm thinking from a legal perspective I'm explain that to you absolutely I know I know like my rights and everything so if you don't I don't want to be fine let me explain I'm not trying to be a hard person either I get you I'm let me just explain what's going to happen if you don't take the bread test the driver's license is going to geted and you do a blood test for one year no we don't do a blood test no so that's enough I'll do it every then but Jeffrey case if you don't T to prot test your license is going to get suspended for one year for refusing to do so if you had toy suspension on your license for refusing to submit to any of the approved chemical test and you would refuse a second of subsequent time or if you had to pay a f under the Flor of the boting statute for refusing testing if you were to refuse a second subsequent time instead of it being a oneyear suspension to be placed with an 18 month suspension and in addition to the 18 month suspension it also be charged the misdemenor offense of refusing to submit the test oh absolutely and refusing to I'm not trying to be like a hard person I just wanted to ask my genu that's why I'm spend and then when comes H let me finish to submit the testing that can be used as evidence against you in court absolutely so your options are going to be this you take a bread test if I and face a possible six- Monon suspension to the driver's license right yeah so you take it and your license may get suspended for 6 months or you don't take it and your license definitely get I will I will take it for you guys the only thing is though is if it comes back with nothing that I haven't had any alcohol in my system and I'm going to go no you you're going to be in custody for 8 hours because of the DUI charge if I have no anything with me you will still be in custody for 8 hours no that's totally I understand that the DUI charge NE necess necessitates that you remain in cust for minimum of 88 hours so whether you take the breath test or not whether you provide a breath sample this below 8 you're going to be in custody 8 hours all right even if I don't have you can below triple Z you're going be I don't want to be condescending I don't want you to think that I'm being like is explain it to you no I totally get that if you blow Tri Zer you're going to be in custody out if you blow three times the limit you're going to be in C8 ially get that because but just because you guys suspect that the charge is what warrants you being in custody for 8 hours the bread test now is to
