The American witch trials. go back. >> She came in and she started telling me about how she got into some sort of scuff >> and she almost got arrested >> and and then I was like I was trying to figure out like what happened. I noticed that she had injuries, you know, and some cuts and I was like what the hell happened and then she told me that she crashed my car. I went to check on my car and sure enough the front tires messed up. At that point, I was already suspecting that she may have been drinking. >> So, I took a sip of her diet coke. And >> took a sip of her diet coke and >> Yeah. And I I noticed that there was alcohol in it. Vodka. And And then I just And then she just basically started like belittling me like calling name. >> What was she calling you? >> Coward [ __ ] [ __ ] all that stuff, you know. So, I went out to pay a bill that I needed to pay. Grabbed a pizza on the way back. came back and she was just in the room and I went to my office and I was just sitting there and and I guess her seeing me in a state of fright cuz I was scared of her. It really triggered her. >> Sarah was arrested and booked facing charges of domestic battery, resisting arrest, [music] threatening officers, and battery on a police officer. Moving on to an even more shocking case where officers reached just in time to save a boyfriend as his enraged girlfriend tried to run him over in a parking lot and tried to play the victim card. >> But what JUST I'm not telling you my name. >> I need to know your name. >> I'm not telling you. >> I have to know WHO YOU ARE. >> I'M not telling you. >> I'm getting abused, man. I'm being >> I'm [screaming] >> on June the 25th, 2024, officers responded to a parking lot after [music] reports of an altercation. Witnesses described a young woman in red acting suspiciously around cars as officers [music] began questioning them to gather detail. >> We were walking where you got your shoes. >> Got that white girl right there where it's got to be that girl. I'm getting to the second floor and all I see is that gentleman like he was in between all these cars and all I see is her. I thought it was actually like a like a parking spot and all I see is her literally about to hit him about to hit the other cars. She was about to hit him and the other cars and he's over there screaming telling her to >> she's over there telling her screaming telling her to stop stop. >> When you say hit him how? with the car. I think she was about to run him away. >> So, she's following him. Okay. >> She was literally following him. Okay. >> And he went to he he was looking like he needed help. And I just I just kept stopping to make sure he was okay cuz I didn't want to be I didn't want that to happen. And all I saw was him recording telling her to stop. She got out the car, went in the back seat. I don't know what she went to go grab. I passed her when I seen her in the back seat. >> Mhm. >> And then that's when I left and I got to the fourth floor. All I see is him trying to leave, trying to escape, and she kept calling him with the car. And then that was the last thing I seen until I got to the fourth floor and I parked. That's when I seen her. She almost ran me over. >> The woman's reckless driving had already alarmed bystanders and nearly caused grievous injury to her boyfriend. But if there was one thing that was almost certain about abusive [music] women, it was that they never want to take accountability for their actions. This young lady was probably not going to be any [music] different, especially considering that she was already taking a defensive stance with the cops. >> Turn that car off. >> And then now you got >> Come here. Come here. >> I'm tired of victim blaming. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of this blaming. I'm tired of this victim blaming. No, you cannot come in my car. >> Relax. >> You cannot come in my car. No, you cannot come in my car and you have no story. >> You need to come out. You need to come outside. I just I need to know your side, dear. I need to know your side. I need you to tell me what's going on. >> This man has been abusing me for eight months, bro. And then he's going to blame victim. I didn't LET HIM GO TO JAIL for 8 months. >> Wait, wait, wait. I can't I can't I'm sorry. I can't hear you. >> All we got from witnesses is a white female red dress. She went to the room. >> By two. I'm 102. Bro, I'm tired of this victim. I'm so tired of it. >> First floor. Hey. Okay. First off, let's start off with this. Okay. What is your name? >> I'm not telling you my name. >> I need to know your name. >> I'm not telling you. >> I have to know who you are. >> I'm not telling you. >> I'm conducting an investigation. You have to tell me. >> That's not my problem. That's not my problem. >> Okay. So, then do you want to go to jail for not telling me your name? >> I can't go to jail for not telling you. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. You're mistaken. No, cuz I'm tired OF BEING LIKE THIS MAN. I HAVE PHOTOS of him abusing me. >> Okay, I need you to come out. I need you to come out the back. >> Listen, >> listen to me. Listen to me. I understand you're going through a lot right now. And it's probably a very, very stressful day. But you're going to get yourself in more trouble than what you need to if you don't get out the car. >> I'm not GETTING OUT MY CAR. >> It's either you get out the car or I have to remove you from the vehicle. And I don't want to do that. >> I don't want to do that. Okay. >> No. Cuz I'm tired of Like I'm so tired you me and then this just texted me horrible. I've been abused and I've been texted by a random EMAIL LAST NIGHT. I'M TIRED. [screaming] I'M TIRED. >> WHAT HAPPENED TODAY? What happened today? >> I don't CARE WHAT HAPPENED TODAY. >> WHAT HAPPENED TODAY THOUGH? I need to know what happened today. >> I'm tired. [crying] I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I'm emotionally and mentally exhausted. I'm done. >> But what happened to >> I'd rather be is [laughter] mental as >> that. >> The situation quickly [music] intensified as the woman grew agitated. There was already more than enough evidence against her. She just needed a way to flip the story. And [music] had the officers been a little less wise, perhaps she would have succeeded. >> I want to go to work. I'm tired of this man accusing me and then these random texting me. I'm tired of it. You I have pictures of this youth. You want to see the pictures of the >> I do. I do. >> I got pictures of it, bro. >> Like, what the is this? Here's here's [music] what I'm trying to get you to understand. Okay? I understand you don't want to do all that. And I understand that right now you you don't want to give up any information, but [music] you have to because this is an investigation and now it's not your choice. You have to give me your information. >> No, because I'm tired [laughter] of this victim blaming. I always want to blame the victim. This is I'm tired of it. This is physical abuse and mental. This is texting me. Who is this? I don't even know her. Why is she texting me? >> Why is she texting me? >> You tell me. >> I don't know her. >> Okay. >> I don't even KNOW WHO SHE IS. Despite officers repeated attempts to get her to pull herself together, the crazy girlfriend became increasingly defensive and combative. As emotions reached a boiling [music] point, the officers were left to make a decision. This was already necessary because they were beginning to see that the best way to protect her boyfriend was to take her in to get a chill pill. >> Did you call him last night? You guys live >> I've been trying to call him for two days straight and this has been texting me since last night on some abusive. Oh, like Oh, you're embarrassing yourself. [music] If I was if that was my man, he wouldn't be texting me. I wouldn't let him text some random, bro. >> Huh? >> Colette, >> grab my ID back, please. >> No, you can't because you are under arrest. >> No. >> Yeah, I have to arrest you. >> For what? >> Because he's claiming a battery. The situation spiraled as the woman shouted [music] and struggled, begging to be released and making frantic movements that forced officers to take strict [music] measures. [crying] There's no radio. [music] >> How many times? >> No. [screaming] I want to talk to this guy. >> Please just leave me. email in the garage. >> Thank you. >> Stop. Stop it. Stop it. Stop it. [screaming] I DID NOT GET IT. >> As the struggle continued, officers expressed concern for the woman's physical [music] and mental well-being, repeatedly urging her to calm down. Yet, the chaos only intensified. Don't bang your head. What you're doing, what you're doing is causing injuries. And now when we see injuries, we don't know if you position. >> Now, we don't know if you bang your head or how you got those injuries. So, stop banging your head. Moving on to the next crazy girlfriend who thought she could get away with beating her boyfriend in public. >> Back off. >> Don't touch it. I'm pregnant. >> I don't care. I want you to go back from there. >> You are going to give us your information or you're going to jail. Do you understand? >> You can't. You That's That's weird though. Okay. Okay. Okay. Then sit down. >> I don't want to sit down. Can I just I'm >> Get her information. For reasons best known only to her, the woman continued to defy the officers. At this point, she was beginning to force them to take a stand that could have been completely avoided. >> You are going to give us your information or you're going to jail. In the background, officers noticed the tension as the boyfriend was hesitant to press charges while the woman insisted it had just been an argument. As testimonies conflicted with physical evidence, officers pressed on determined to uncover [music] the truth. >> At first, you all said was that, you know, you put your hands in his shorts and grabbed the keys. That was it. >> But then you just say you pushed him around. >> I pushed his shorts where he was like pushing, grabbed his shorts, but I didn't get through it. There's some things that aren't quite adding up. >> Um, but there's this little thing nowadays that everybody has around right there. I know >> right [music] there and right there. And there's some outside. >> What are those things called? >> Witness camera. >> Witness camera. >> What? Oh, witness camera. We'll see. >> Yep. You got stuff to go pushing them away and then grabbing his arm out the way to get his piece. >> But I I already know that those right there. And then we have people things. What do you think they're going to tell us? >> Yeah, they said the same. I grabbed his shorts, pushing his arm out the way. That's what he said too as well, too. >> And how did the shirt get ripped? >> I didn't grab his shirt. I was grabbing his shorts and the shirt from the banking thing. [music] That was it. How did that happen? >> No. I didn't I already touched his face. >> Did he slam Did he slam his own face into the uh into the desk into the table? >> Like pushing him away. He probably would I don't know if I didn't touch the faceboard. No, no, no, no. Cuz I don't have nails and I don't if I have bloody from his nails. I should have got him my nails. But I don't have that. This is mine for [music] Wallet. >> They're all >> I probably did with a wallet cuz I have wallet inside his car. You can see the watermelon inside the vehicle as well that I got some watermelon. [music] I cut some watermelon and then I put the watermelon inside the container. And >> do you but do you see my my thoughts [music] on this from especially with you having fried everything already and you're already you know what I mean? Like you already battered them once before [music] >> I did just arm [music] under on Yeah, they said that that's super battery. Well, we can say that. >> Yeah, >> they'll just saw the touch, but they assume that. >> But [music] I guarantee when I review the cameras, it's not going to be like you just being real nice trying to >> No, I was taking it. I was ding his shorts. I kept ding it trying to pull it off and his shorts rip rip his buttons right there. >> Mhm. >> That button right there. >> Confronted with mounting evidence, the woman tried to excuse her actions, blaming her emotions and claiming that she never touched his face. But the officers who are already fed up with her lies and feeble attempts to downplay things were not going to buy her story and move to reach a quick conclusion. >> All right, ma'am. Uh, you are under arrest and you are being charged with domestic battery. >> Why? >> Because you battered your batter. It was just only pushing the purse. >> Um, I have witness statements and everything that's going to back it. So, you will be going to jail with me. Okay. Has she been searched or put down or anything? Okay. Um, >> how's she going to jail? >> In resisting. That's what I was going to touch base with for >> But I don't like to I like to be outside. >> I know you have an ankle monitor on. Are you on probation? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um the person she has to report, so I have to remember her name. >> Awesome. Thank you. My next question, are you supposed to have contact with your um boyfriend? >> Yeah, >> you are. Okay. >> No, kind of. Not really. I think no, I think no, but I don't know that much. I know he picked you up this morning and um that's kind of back and forth as far as he willingly went and had contact with you. [music] Um but you know if that's the case, you're not supposed to have contact with him. >> Okay. All right. We'll clarify all that in a minute. >> Did not get arrested. >> No, ma'am. You got to go. My >> Hey, listen. Listen. I'm going to make this clear. I know you have Listen, I know you have skinny wrists and I know those cups may come off. No, >> listen. Listen. If you pull out of those cups at any point during your during your ride to jail, you will have a felony charge for escaping. And I just want to make that clear right now. Okay. >> Can I just stay? My mirror's right there. Come on. Stand up. >> Police 400. Police to the south. >> That's crazy. >> All right. You stand right here. >> Do you have her? I'm going to put gloves on. >> Here, Bill. You want to help him out? Let him know that. >> Can I get my phone? I got to make one phone call right now. >> No, you can make a phone call at the jail. >> I can't because I got to do it right now because I got to let them know that I left. >> You want to deal with her? I'll >> Thank you. >> You about to go do that? >> Yeah. >> I just want to make sure there's no weapons, no nothing like that. Okay. >> I have a in my purse, you have a little um what do you call a two uh vent? No, I don't do that. Oh, tool. A great thing. The um a tool just >> Oh, so scared by a tool. There's like a little wrench in there. >> You dropped those in first. I got >> Wait a minute. You're fine. >> Oh, I'll get it. >> I don't like being called up with all these people. I have that issue with going on that I can't be called up with a lot of people. I get I I react. I don't can't be having an issue. >> There were two of us in the lobby. I mean, >> three. >> There's two at the time. >> One at the door. >> There's one at the door. They wanted to talk to him outside. And And >> I wanted to go. I can't like be inside talking conversation. I like to be outside. >> You're having a conversation with him inside. >> Inside? Yeah. But when police, I do it outside. >> Okay. Well, unfortunately, it's not on your terms when we talk to you. >> Every time police does that. I asked, "Can we step outside and do it?" And when he's right there, too. And he said, "Okay." See, the whole point is to separate and and to get a independent story for me. >> It was a a good story. Nothing happened. >> I saw you. >> What you really wanted is you wanted to hear what he was saying. So you still at this point, I mean, it's >> you're not going to be able to talk your way out of it. So >> why do I got to be arrested first? Why he didn't got arrested as well? He's riding his thing for communication with us. >> You're on parole right now. >> He's on it, too. believe all the night. >> I'm not the one who arrested you, but I mean at this point, like I said, PC exists for a battery. Um, do you have a history of it? >> Battery. >> Okay. Like I said, you can you can argue it all day, but it it is battery. >> After investigations were concluded, the woman was charged with battery and resisting without violence. Up next, we have Jordan, an abusive young lady and druggie whose boyfriend needed to be saved from life-threatening tyranny. >> She came after me with a razor blade. She speared me off. I was getting off the toilet. She speared me. >> All right, put your hands on top of your head for me. >> Oh my god. >> On April the 9th, 2025, officers responded to a domestic [music] disturbance call at an Ohio residence. They were met by a woman named Jordan who appeared noticeably agitated as she began explaining what had happened. >> I tried to call and tell him that you guys didn't have to come. He he left and the situation kind of resolved itself, which is fine. I have to work from home. >> So, he came back and then you left again. >> Yeah. So, it's fine. and we're good. Um I I have to work from home on the phone, so I tried to call the police station and tell her that everything was okay. >> You can't cancel. >> That's what she [clears throat] said. And that's I understand. I just don't mean to waste your time. Um I just kind of wanted something to be on file. I mean, you I know you can see that there's been issues before. >> I haven't even looked yet. So, >> but everything's okay. He didn't put his hands on me or anything. We're good there. >> I don't want to press charges. >> I guess he is in there in the room. >> Yeah. One second. Yeah, you can come out, Kurt. >> Uh, just stay in there for now. >> I guess he did come back and go in there. I didn't even I thought he left. I've been on the phone with my mother. >> So, >> um, >> Kurt, I didn't say you did anything. You're you're digging your own hole. I didn't even know you were in there. So, >> what's your name, dude? >> Jordan. Jordan initially tried to brush off the situation, but as officers pressed for details, they noticed her hesitation and the mixed signals. >> We were I got off work [music] last night. We went and played pool and it was literally stupid. Like I made a comment. I [music] said he was trying to show me how to play tell me how to play pool. I said, "Show me. Don't tell me." And apparently that set him off. I don't know. Started arguing. So we came home. I went, we have two bedrooms. I went into the spare bedroom. [music] He went into the other bedroom and we separated and then he came in there at like 7 o'clock. Let's go get [music] breakfast. They said I'm not going anywhere with you. Like I have to work in two hours like no. And he just started an argument again. And things have gotten physical before in the past [music] and I just wanted to be safe and protect myself. And you know even him I don't I'm not that's why I'm not saying he did anything. He didn't do anything. >> Just argument. [snorts] >> Yeah. It's just an argument. That's all. >> So, what are your plans for the rest of the day then since >> Well, I have to work from home. Like, my computer is in there and everything. I work from home during the day and I work at Wise Guys at night. So, I mean, I I'm not saying he has to leave. He needs to leave me alone at least. I mean, >> yeah. >> I'm not trying to force him out. >> You both live here, right? >> Yeah, we're both on the lease. Yeah. >> Obviously, we can't kick either one. >> Yeah. And that's I'm not trying to do that. I'm just I just >> What if it's already heated already at >> he's apparently I think he's going to bed. I don't know. But like I said, I didn't even know. I thought he left. I didn't I've been on the phone with my mother. >> You guys have any kids in common yet? >> No. >> No. Um >> How long have you guys been [snorts] waiting? >> Four years. But I mean, this is getting ridiculous. I'm I'm going to end up finding my own place. So, >> yeah. >> What's his name? Curtis. >> Curtis. Yeah. >> All right. Why don't you stay out here and I'll go >> truth. they say usually does not stay hidden. Since there were two sides of the story, the officers needed to question her boyfriend, a young man who went by the name of Curtis. The decision to question him, although simple, was probably going to seal his girlfriend's [music] fate. >> I'm not trying to thing, anytime I try to talk to her, communicate with her, she raises her voice, she yells over me, she screams, she makes Guys, I have everything recorded. You guys need to see everything. I just said everything whatever I need to say for what an argument. I don't need to say anything. >> It's not an argument. He came after me with a razor blade. >> She came after me with a razor blade. Stop it. He's okay. He's okay. He's friendly. I mean, if you were to ever do anything, it's it's not it's not an argument. She started slamming things around. She started throwing things around. She >> That's what I'm saying. I I can't do it. I can't talk to She's present. So, she spear I was just got off the toilet taking a She speared me. Literally speared me. I sort of I know it sounds ridiculous cuz she speared me into the bathtub and I've got marks. I don't know if I've got marks still on my back. Not that it matters, but I've got marks on my back that thing >> right above the faucet or whatever. >> Okay, >> that hurts bad. >> You know, I mean the thing is and this is what I keep telling everybody. Okay. >> And and I'm getting frustrated because I get it. Nobody's gives a what I say. Nobody cares what I say right now. Okay. from the time last time they came out when I called them. It don't >> time to meet you inside. You can show me the video. >> No, I'm sorry. But I'll send them to you wherever you need to need to send them to you guys. You can come into the house. I'm sorry. Okay. Mind you, she's trashed this house. Nobody can come into the house. She has absolutely trashed this place. Okay. Now, when I when I called somebody out last time, I showed them the videos. They didn't give two what I said. That lady came here with the biggest attitude I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. >> Okay. She is on bad. Okay. I have tried to get her help. She is bad on it. Okay. And she is losing touch of reality. Nobody wants to hear it. Okay. So, >> did she cut you at all with the razor or anything? >> All right. Well, no, but she did cut herself and she wiped her blood all over me. So, and I'm, you know, that's why I'm trying to get away from her because I'm pretty sure she's up again and I don't want the video so I can >> Well, you guys they live together. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Been together. >> I know it looks a little What's that? >> You want her arrest? Curtis produced undeniable proof of physical violence that shattered Jordan's claims [music] of innocence. >> You guys need to see the mark. The one on her lower back. >> Yeah. Around in that area. >> Okay. >> He's trying to say I did something. >> She did do something, guys. >> She's over there cutting herself and grabbing herself, you know. I mean, I don't know if you saw the marks on it. She's cutting herself with a razor blade. And then she wiped her blood all over that. And look, I don't know if you can tell, but my arm. You see got you guys see [music] that swell that that knot in there. >> So that is from the one on your back. >> That [music] she speared me off. I was getting off the toilet. She speared me through through attack. >> I didn't attack anybody. Don't talk to each other. >> She speared me through the shower curtain and I hit that. That is from that whatever that thing is that sits like below with where the water comes out or whatever. Nailed my back right on that. So and that I didn't even know until it just started hurting actually. You got swollen up. >> As officers reviewed the evidence and noticed the seriousness of the injuries, there was only one thing left to do now. >> All right, put your phone down for me. >> Put your cigarette out. >> I will. I have a witness to everything that's going on. >> All right, put your hands on top of your head for me. >> Oh my god. >> Yep. >> I have you on speaker phone. I told them that you've been on the balcony the entire time that you have weapons. He's the one that was throwing things around the house and threatening her. >> Okay. >> No weapons or anything on you? >> No. Good. Nothing on. >> I'll We'll grab your stuff. >> Well, I'm just worried about my phone and my mother and my witness that I have. >> Your phone's going to go with you. >> Okay. Well, I mean, >> I didn't search you. >> Does it not matter that I have a witness to all this? >> Were they here? She's been on the phone with me since this started. You didn't just touch him. >> You said it's your mom. >> It's my mother. Yes. >> That's not That's not an independent witness. So, it doesn't go. >> Um, it doesn't matter that you were witnessed to all this. >> Yeah, of course. >> You ever been arrested before? >> Yeah, a long time ago. >> For a while. >> I had a problem in the past. >> Nothing. No domestic stuff? >> Never. It's crazy. I called you guys. I [ __ ] called you guys to protect myself. After restraining Jordan, officers began to uncover the deeper issues fueling [music] the chaos. Do >> you guys find any on her? >> We haven't looked at her purse yet, so we haven't gotten that far. >> She she's got stuff in there. And I don't know. >> Well, if she's got stuff in her purse, she'll get charged with it. >> All right. She says it's >> um that that was that's been her issue. I think that she's been mixing because she's been more looney. Um, I I don't know for sure, but you know, I do know that the stuff has been gray and I hear that there's like or whatever. So, I don't I don't know. >> That was around a couple years ago. I don't know if it's going I don't know if that's going around anymore. >> Okay. I I do know she had a problem before I met her. >> I met her. She was clean and sober and then she usually up or >> Well, she used to way before you think there's needles in her purse. >> I don't know. That's I just don't want to get bugs, >> man. The weird thing is, so she's very sneaky and I've been finding like little like things taken apart, like little things that like look like they'd be composed to needles. >> Um, but they come from like home appliances and stuff like that and it's and that's another thing she makes me go crazy for. >> Hey, can I ask you a favor? >> What's up? >> My keys are in my vehicle. Are you able to get him out of there so he doesn't steal my vehicle again? >> Yeah, I'll give your keys back. >> I just don't want him driving my vehicle. He doesn't have permission to do so. I'm sure you probably don't know, but with it being this early, will I see a judge today? >> It's possible. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Y >> I'm not trying to be rude to you. I'm sorry. I just I called you guys to protect myself and >> fine. >> It's just not >> After investigations were concluded, Jordan was arrested and charged with domestic violence. Jordan did get what she deserved. But here's another abusive girlfriend who thought she could fool the police by giving them a false identification only to be proved very wrong. >> Push me, pushed him back, screamed at me. So I tried to get him out of the car. >> Call somebody RIGHT NOW OR YOU'RE GOING TO GO TO JAIL. >> You have nothing in your purse with your identification? >> No. I literally lost >> with a name or anything. >> No. >> Do you have a wallet in there? >> No. >> You're going to be placed under arrest. >> Four. >> Lying about your name. >> What? On April the 30th, 2024, West De Moines's officers responded to a 911 call from a woman named Sydney, reporting an argument with her boyfriend that had escalated. When they arrived, they confronted the woman who [music] quickly tried to downplay the situation. >> So, I yelled at him in his face, got very close up, and he pushed me and >> push you after you got in his face. >> I like I was like, "What? Give me my purse back. Stop taking my I'm sick and tired of you taking my stuff." >> Okay. >> Pushed me. Pushed him back. Screamed at me. So, I tried to get him out of the car. I said, "I'm calling 911. I'm sick and tired of this." Boom. Got on the phone. That's when he ran ran sprinted out of the car to them white men that were at the front and they called the cops to help him. Then when he came back to my car, he said, "Well, the cops are coming." And I said, "Wow, Pat, are are we really going to do this today?" He He got into the car, the driver's seat, and we tried to leave before this happened. >> Yeah. Maybe three three police officers. >> No. >> What? >> No. >> I don't think so either. When we're literally trying to go home to Glenn Oaks, literally just down that way. >> If you called us, what did you want us to do? to just low key ease the tension in the situation down. And then when he finally got into his right mind, when he finally got into his right mind, he came back to the car and we were ready to leave. >> And the argument was over a purse. >> The argument was over Yeah. him snatching my out of my hands like he usually does. >> Sydney insisted the dispute was only over a purse and claimed that she just wanted help calming [music] things down, not arrests. But as investigators investigated further, it quickly became clear that her story didn't add up. >> Really bad. >> Stop. Stop. >> I'm sorry. >> I'm sorry. >> You keep saying that you're trying to get home, but I don't believe you at this point. >> No, I am. I'm trying to help. >> So then why don't we go over here by the squad car so you can't even see him. So you're not even tempted to talk to him. I'm trying my hardest to help you. >> I'm trying my hardest to help you, but you're not helping yourself. >> Why don't you come over here where you can't see him so you're not tempted to talk to him? Hey Cam, it's Sydney. Um Pat went a little crazy again and now there's three freaking cops here. Um probably about as um if you call me back ASAP and let these cops know what actually goes on behind closed doors. But, I mean, from being so fluent and with with how she acts. >> Okay. >> I mean, it's it's it's a condition. >> Okay. >> It's a condition. >> So, we have assault, but no pain. It was just contact. She didn't she wasn't she didn't even really touch the >> However, when the cops questioned her, Janette's attitude got worse. Despite the officers trying their best to cooperate, she kept up the nasty tone in her voice. >> He had the charger with him and it was special. >> He can't find his charger. He can't find his charger. >> Yeah. >> And he got upset with me talking about we make it to Chicago. I hope you have a ride to get home. >> And then what caused the >> the physical part of it? going back and forth. >> Kind of lost your temper. >> Yes. So, whatever y'all want to call it. >> So, where did how did where did he hit you when he hit you? >> Over my head. When that dude with the white shirt came up over here. >> Okay. So, he hit he punched you in the head or >> he punched me in my head? >> He just hit he just slapped you at the top of your head? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Did it hurt? >> No, it didn't [music] hurt. I'm not hurt. I just want my stuff. I'm ready to go home. I got kids at home waiting for me. >> Okay. That's why I don't understand this goofy ass over a charger. If that's the mother case, I could have just paid for the charger. I didn't ask him to pay for my headphones. Huh? No clue. >> Too much going on >> in a whole another state. And my kids is at home waiting on me. What the [ __ ] >> Okay. So, when you hit him, where'd you hit him? >> I ain't hit him. I just tugged on his clothes. >> Was that Was that >> after you went over there? I guess when I was on my way up over here, I was arguing. >> Okay. >> Can you get off? Can you get off the phone right now so we >> My father's trying to make sure that I'm going to get home. >> Okay. Well, let's let's hang up for right now so we can take care of this. >> Okay. I need to know what's going on. >> I'm trying to figure out what's going on cuz I'm trying to get home. >> I understand. >> I already paid for my babysitter. My time limit is up with my babysitter. I have >> So, are you getting ready to take my money? >> Are you getting ready to pull? looking bored if he's willing to scan my part of the ticket. >> Okay. >> My name is on the >> So, you didn't just come in? >> No, I can. >> And you're trying to go to >> Chicago Midway. >> Okay. Okay. Coming from Las Vegas. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I left Chicago Mailway, came to Las Vegas. Now I'm going back home. Was supposed to be going back home. Stopped here. >> You when you got here and you asked him for a charger? >> I didn't ask him for a charger. >> Okay. Would you >> never asked him for a charger? He was over there. We we have him sitting in different areas and everything. He went and bought himself something to eat after I bought us both something to eat earlier [clears throat] today. He didn't buy me a mother thing to eat and said the whole different areas for me. Looked back at me and I said, "What?" Because I was on the phone with my mother and my son and he said, "Gee, I'm trying to find my charge. I can't find my charger." He threw my flat irons on the floor and said, "Get your flat irons. They're on [music] the other side of my bag." And I picked them up and I said, "What are you mad for?" I can't find my charger. Where the my charges? Mother ain't going to find my [ __ ] charger. Dude, you're not getting a ride home. >> And that's >> So he was looking for a job. >> Yes, he was looking for his child. >> All right. >> There was no need for Janette to act civil [music] now because from all the information the cops had pieced together, it was clear the woman was the aggressor. So they wasted no time in arresting her. Except she was not too happy about it. >> What you did is considered. Okay. Under Texas state law, we have to arrest you. Okay. >> Dude, you hear this [ __ ] >> Okay. So everything that we saw, we saw some video. You're the aggressor. >> All right, [laughter] >> that's what you're going to be going for. All right, >> come on. >> Go ahead and stand up for me. >> Turn around. >> I swear to God. >> I'll take your phone. >> This the most goofiest of my mother life. >> You could never speak to me again. No talk to my kids. No, none of that. >> And I hope y'all able to retrieve my mother purse cuz it got me and my kids socials in it. >> In his car that he said I wasn't getting in. So, I called my daddy. It's not in Champagne. It's in Chicago Midway at one of their airports where he paying $5 for parking. >> Is this your bag, man? >> Yes, that's my bag. >> Don't call me, >> man. What they doing? What the they doing? Look over here. So, >> we need we need we need to fill out the packet. >> Yeah, she's getting aggressive. >> She's she's she was the aggressor. She's getting arrested. Fortunately, in Texas law, if it's violated, even if you want to press charges or not, then the state can still pick them up >> depending on just going by what happened. >> Even even if you don't, I mean, even if you don't, we're putting the report that you don't want to pursue if that's something that you want to do. But but domestic violence in the state, it's such a big issue. They didn't they didn't she didn't I mean she's you know was the aggressor but yeah >> I mean >> I mean I understand I go by what you're saying too but we're going by what the video is and what the witnesses showed us and stuff too. So >> that [ __ ] did >> I don't want him to be up in here >> because I got kids like call my mom. >> Have you ever been arrested for violence? >> Never. >> No I have not. >> Has he ever been arrested for being like this? >> All my kids dead to me. Champion one life. >> It's not him >> dead to me. I don't give no if he wasn't here arguing with me about no mother charger we wouldn't have been going through that. >> Okay that's that's let's that's that's >> what the is that's why I told you to keep your hands to yourself. You can't do that in public. >> Just told this woman keep your hands to yourself in public. >> All you can do is tell her you can't control what she does. If that wasn't absurd enough, the cops later found illegal substances in the woman's possession. >> I don't have no money to get home. >> They're going to let you use the phone when you get there and um they'll um you'll be able to contact somebody from family. Okay. I had it. That's what I'm saying. I'm going to take these gloves off cuz I can't feel enough of it. Oh, I'm sorry. >> Oh, there it is. Is it? You said it's not. >> No, that is >> Oh, I was going to say I thought you said it wasn't. >> He was talking about the pills. >> Oh, >> there was some pills. He looked up. >> I gave you the ID, right? >> It's in your property. So, that's that's >> Put the ID in here cuz you got to take it in there anyway. >> So, listen. Listen. under under the state law. >> Okay. It's in your property. >> Maybe it's in your property. >> The ID's in there. >> Okay. >> Perfect. >> Stay here. >> Can you stay here? >> That's up to you. Yeah. You can see if they're willing to rebook you, but >> I mean you to the nonse. >> Yeah, that's up to you. >> Before you make that decision, let me tell you. >> So, she'll be in jail longer. >> She's going to be in jail longer. She has to. Now she's going to have to see a motion. >> So now she's going to have to bond out. >> In the end, the woman was charged with class C family assault and family violence as well as possession of marijuana. The craziness just keeps on coming as up next, an abusive girlfriend called the cops on her boyfriend only to watch it backfire on her instantly. >> He was standing right here and I was trying to get out. He would not let me. So I turned around and I spit at him. She snatched the window open, jumped through there, shoved me, and spit in my face. >> Where? But the scratch marks are all over you >> from her. Like, >> but based on everything we're going with, they identified you right now as a primary aggressor. >> On May the 8th, 2024, officers responded to a call of domestic abuse. Apparently, a man and a woman had been going through a tough breakup and it resulted in a full-blown fight. The woman was the one who called the officers, not realizing that being the caller doesn't mean she wouldn't be considered as the primary aggressor. I'm just trying to like pack my and get it out of this house. That's literally all I'm trying to achieve here. She has a past of grabbing my take my phone and tried to hide it. I just want to get back. >> We've been doing this since 8:30. >> Do you need anybody else for now? >> No, I'm okay. >> What happened? >> Um aggressive breakup argument. Grab your grab my 4 months. Our lease is over. Let's separate and go live somewhere else. Let's pay our bills. We need to end. This has happened multiple times. Um, cornered. As soon as I told him that when the lease is up, my mom, the co-signer, he's off. He's over and I'm going to stay here. Lost it. Lost it. Followed me from room to room. Tried to corner me in the room. I turned around and spit at him. >> Absolutely spit at him cuz he had me cornered against the back of the door and the room was dark. >> Yeah. Where right where the uh closet is and where the door opens and then turned around, spit at him, got out, tried to lock myself in the bathroom. Didn't happen. And then we separate. I come out in the car. Then he starts getting all of our stuff. And now I'm worried about my stuff. So I'm following him around the house. [clears throat] And then he pinned me up again two or three times. >> And in response, I attacked him with from this direction. >> What about all this blood and stuff over here? >> Him scratching me. He had me up against the washing machine. And where our washer and dryer is, it's a very, very tiny unit. There's bleach all over. >> You can see inside. >> Nobody else is inside. But you there's you can see in everywhere you walk. >> I can explain. exactly what happened. >> All this domestic charges from him. >> Hi, puppy. >> Never wanted to keep you called prior. >> Hi, Poppers. >> Okay, so I I He locked me out of the back door. Locked me out of the front door. That's why this is out there cuz I came through the front. He had me leaned up against right in here. Right up against this this way right here. >> What do you mean? Like which way? He was standing right here and I was trying to get out and he would not let me. So I turned around and I spit at him and I got out and went to try to lock myself in the bathroom. I had that window open. I tried to scream for neighbors. You can knock on the neighbors across the street. I've been screaming for So you ran in there? >> Yes. And tried to lock the door. He would not let me. And then and then he comes outside. He's packing his belongings. He stops. >> So then you couldn't you couldn't stay in there. So you get out and try to >> No. Cuz the second I opened the window and started screaming, he then he would stop. And I just want to find a cell phone at this point. >> I just want to find a phone cuz if I do have to hit him, he will hit me back. >> Okay. >> And he is going to win. >> Do you have uh is that a scratch on your neck? >> Yes. >> Officers could tell that the relationship was doomed with the way both the individuals were injured. On top of that, the woman had made several accusations against her boyfriend. But suddenly, she had a slip of tongue that sent her fabricated story crashing down. >> He had me. He had me. Yes. >> Okay. >> Right here on the back porch. >> What was he trying to prevent you from going outside or >> correct? He was trying to prevent me from going outside. >> No, I was walking inside and he was preventing me from walking inside getting away from him. And >> why did you run outside? Just >> because he I thought he was going to ruin my plants. >> I thought he was going to cuz that's I love my plants and I thought he was going to start destroying my plants. And then so he starts ripping down the lights. That's fine. Whatever. And and then I he tried to he had me this and I came at him with this this and missed and then he grabbed it out of my hand and threw me back in a chokeold and said when are you going to stop and try to just wrestle me to >> like when are you going to stop what >> when am I going to stop I doing what I'm doing telling him that we're whatever the argument base is. >> Okay. And in the midst of that, I scratched the living out of him. >> Okay. >> And every mark on him is because I was being >> backwards. >> What did uh he wasn't defending himself from me? >> No. >> No, he was coming after me. I tried to take videos on my phone. Um >> Okay. All right. She claimed he put her in a chokeold, asking her when she was going to stop, but then stumbled when the cop questioned her on it. The more she tried to explain, the more her self-defense story unraveled. In fact, none of the evidence she provided was convincing enough. >> Okay, here. Here, you can put volume on if you need to. But and also the laundry room. He shoved me up against the back of it and the lamp's broken because my face was down on the washer and dryer. >> I've called I tried to tell his sister to come here 2 hours ago. >> Do you have a license? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> My car. I locked it. >> So So what what's the deal, boss? >> I know you just went over kind of I know. I know. It's the role we play. Sorry. >> Yeah. No, I get it. Um, so I guess to start things, she um was just like in my face, like get the out. And >> she was in your face then? >> Yeah. And we have a history of her making my belongings disappear when we're fighting. So my first instinct was to get my important >> and get that away from her and get myself out of here. >> Okay. >> And so I'm just trying to pack my up. And in the course of that, she's walking in and out every 30 seconds. Goes gets in her car. So I thought she was leaving. I shut the doors and lock them cuz I don't want any surprises after that. And she comes running up here, slings the window open, dives in the window, shoves me, spits in my face, and then is just right back to like following me around. You know, I grabbed something. She's trying to snatch it. And I was trying to take some from the pergola back there and she came out with a broom and was just whailing me out of it. And I mean there was like me just trying to hold her and not >> hold her hold her to do what? >> To prevent her from swinging on me. >> The cops listened to the boyfriend's side of the story and it seemed like this wasn't their first fight. But the boyfriend wasn't done yet. as he continued to add more details and it became apparent the woman was quite dangerous. >> Okay, so the this sounds terrible. The whole argument started because we were coming back from the Publix on the island. She pointed [snorts] out this car and she's like, I want this to be my mom car and she is using her mom's car. She wrecked her car. She's got an insurance check somewhere at her parents. I was like, well, you need to figure your >> situation out before we, you know, >> and that just she snapped. I she just >> Okay. And then you guys got in here. Then what's the first point? Did it get physical? >> When she jumped through the window. >> So nothing was physical before then. She just jumped through the window and then what happened? >> She snatched the window open, jumped through there, shoved me, and spit in my face. >> Where was that? Where did that happen at? >> The living room. >> Okay. She spit in your face. Then what did you do? >> I took my hat off, wiped the spit off, and went back to packing my she wasn't like still in my face trying to >> What? What? What incident happened in the bedroom? In the bedroom with the corner of the door. >> Did she Did you pin her in to the corner of the door? Behind the door over there? No. >> Well, yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, no, I was uh just grabbing some clothes so I can have a couple changes of clothes and she starts snatching out of my hand and then um she shoved me again. >> Where did all the scratch marks on the stuff come from? >> What's that? >> The scratch marks all come from. >> Where? >> Mean where, but the scratch marks are all over you. from her like >> but I understand but I'm asking I know they came from her but how in what sense how did it all how did you get yourself scratched up did you holding on to her or >> well like from her like snatching me trying to take it back and then she's like clawing at me and when >> I'm just asking but no you were here not me >> I know it's just a blur I'm trying to collect things but no just wrapping her up and her clawing at me or the broom I don't know >> okay >> now the picture became clear to the cops about who the primary aggressor was realizing They'd been lied to by the woman this whole time. They went to arrest her once and for all. >> They put her in a handcuff. >> I'm I'm taking her. >> This way. >> I'm defending myself. >> So, listen. In the state of Florida, do the domestic violence laws are very specific when it comes to people living together and putting hands on each other. >> But he follows me everywhere. >> Would you listen to me for a second? Okay. I'm going to explain this to you. >> Okay. >> We have to find a primary aggressor or somebody that furthers the fight or the the incident. Okay. >> But if nobody was here, then who can dictate that? >> Yeah. >> Just the like the factors. Okay. So, the part that your your argument was separated until the point where you took the screen off the door and came back in. I'm not I'm getting I'm getting I'm getting there. Okay. >> Okay. You have the right. This is your house. You can go in and out of the window all you want. Okay. >> But you coming back in. Okay. The argument getting flared back up. >> But did did you look at the videos on my phone? >> I did. It's they're just No, you showed me one video. You said you had one video and I I watched the whole thing. I understand. Okay. Are there any >> But the videos don't are going to show what the whole the whole thing. It's him chasing me to the backyard, to the laundry room, into the other room. >> We didn't chasing you. >> He was following me around the house and putting his and putting me into a chill cold over and over. >> When you came back in through the window, did you spit Did you spit in his face? >> No, not directly in the window. >> When you came in the window, did you push him into the bathroom? That was right. That did not happen out here. That was >> the first time around. >> Okay. Where's your phone? >> In my pocket. Okay. >> Can Yeah. 888. >> What? 888. >> Yes. What? Here. >> I thought I was sorry. >> This these videos. >> I tried to and it was in my pocket cuz otherwise Yes. >> Yes. >> Okay. I watched this one. This is when you showed me. That was just one long video >> with the sound and you can hear him following me from hand on me. What do you think? >> Why is this? >> Get away from me. >> How is this possible? What the do you think this is? Hold on a >> second. Or is it just me? >> Stop chasing me around the door. >> Dude, what are you doing? Why are you chasing me? >> Okay. So, you have audio, but there's no there's no video. There's no nothing to see. >> Cuz it was in my pocket. >> I I I understand where you're coming from. Okay. I'm just simply saying in the state of Florida when when two domestic partners put their hands on each other. Okay. And you guys both have physical injuries, somebody has to go to jail. >> Go ahead. It's not him. >> Okay. It's So based on everything we're going with. Okay. I identified you right now as a primary aggressor. Okay. That's not Just listen to me. >> But did can you see where his teeth are on him? Where the teeth marks are? >> I see where the marks on both of you are. >> Okay. But can you did you guys even look at me? I haven't even looked at myself yet. I don't know where I have more bruising potentially. I just I just told you you guys both have injuries. I see that. Okay. >> You guys I mean really you guys are both wrong. >> I'm not I'm not saying I'm right or wrong. >> You're no longer in danger anymore. >> Right. So why am I just >> because you what I'm saying? I don't have the luxury of just leaving. I don't I don't have any discretion here. The law dictates that a primary aggressor be identified during a situation and you be removed from the I understand that. Okay. But that's what's happening right now. You are domestic partners and you guys got into a physical altercation that caused physical injury to both of you. One of you have to go and based on the circumstances right now, you appear to be the primary aggressor. Okay? That doesn't mean you're getting convicted of battery. That doesn't mean you're going to go to jail forever. Okay? That simply means you are being arrested right now for misdemeanor battery. >> Okay. So, let's go inside. >> Come on. >> Can I get my cell phone, please, or call my mother before we walk out? >> Sure. Absolutely. We'll go to the car and then I'll um >> Do you want some shoes? Can we get some shoes? What shoes? Guys, >> my foot patch right there. >> Okay. >> The woman was then placed in the back of the police car to be taken to the station for further processing. >> Is there a way that I can speak to you longer than whom I've spoken to? >> What do you mean? >> Because I feel like you don't understand who this biggest aggressor was. >> Listen, I'm still listening. >> I know. I'm getting um this I me being locked out and wanting to be inside my house. I was in the car, >> okay? Which I told you you have the right to be. I'm just simply saying that the progression of events that goes into it cuz it's not it's not just one event that I'm judging this whole thing on. It's just the overall circumstances and you have to understand that right now that law is in place to forcibly separate two people that are violent, >> right? >> To prevent any further injury to either one of you. >> Okay? I'm I'm not simp I'm not saying that he is not guilty, but I'm just simply saying now but based on the statue, okay, and the facts that we have, you are the primary aggressor. >> How so? If he's putting his hands around my Can you at least look at my neck? >> I'm looking at you. >> Putting his hands on my neck cuz he's a wrestler and he can choke me out, push me against me. Listen to me. Okay, those can all be explained to have you. You also have the right to defend yourself, >> right? And that's why I told you I scratched him. I didn't think there was anything wrong. >> I did. I didn't did I say I didn't say some of the scratches aren't defensive wounds because he very well could have came back at you or vice versa. Okay. And you guys are both you guys are really both just defending each other. You both are very heated. You got into an argument. >> Me first. But catch me first. But he's good at this. He has other he has other battery stuff with his ex in North Carolina and I ignored it and like this is cute. >> I understand. Did I Did I say I don't believe anything you said? >> Okay. Do you understand why you were going to jail though? Do do you understand that the that why the different violence? >> I'm confused as to why I'm the person who's the more aggressive the the aggressor >> because I would say that you going back in and reinitiating contact. >> We didn't get physical then. He just locked me out of the door. We that nothing was physical. >> I understand that but you should have been separated at that point. That that is what I'm saying. >> But then I had no phone or keys or nothing. >> Okay. I I'm not I understand where you're coming from, but you going back in there initiated the situation. Do you understand? >> You know you weren't going there with the intention. knocks me out at any given point and then I break in the house and then he me around a little bit and then I call the cops and then I still get in trouble for breaking out. >> It does. It has no no bearing on who called the cops and who called the cops first or second or third or >> that kind of matter. >> Why? >> I wanted I needed your guys' help. >> I understand you're you >> sense though like >> I know there's people who call the cops and they're bad people and bad >> people. I just you guys are bad you guys are in a bad situation. That's my mom's only car.
