So, the Panal County Sheriff's Office traffic unit is all over Panal County enforcing traffic laws in school zones. 15 m an hour when you come in till you hit the end of it where it says end of school zone. So, we're out here enforcing laws with LAR, with radars, on motors, in cars, and we're looking for anything that might endanger a child, whether it's speed or distracted driving, especially in school zones. So, make sure you obey the laws. Let's keep kids safe this year. >> 43 [Music] for a criminal amount of speed in this school zone. You're 43 mph and the speed limit is 15. So, you're almost three times the speed limit. >> Oh, yeah. That's what I said. I may also see registration paperwork and current proof insurance. Mountain Vista Allison is the intersection within the school zone there. Um exceeding 35 mph within a marked school zone is a criminal offense. So this is technically a criminal arrest. Um all that means is it's mandated that you go to court. So you can't just go to traffic school and make this one go away. All right. So we are 477 ft from the beginning of the school zone. So that's where the sign is that says you have to be at 15 mph when passing it. So anyone that we get that's less than 477 ft means they're inside the school zone. They got to be going 15. Reason I stopped you is when you entered the school zone back there, you were at 30 mph and the speed limit there is 15 when you cross the sign. >> That's okay. >> I didn't realize >> that's it.
