see your driver's license please what did what's going on what do you mean what's going on why did I get pulled open well do you know that you have to legally yield to when there's law enforcement officers on the side of the road with red and blue flashing lights that you can't pass in the lane directly next to me when you have the capability of moving over to which you did and yet you did not and you pass me at 69 mph and oppos to 65 wow 4 M an hour and I was like not a speeding violation and I was like the fifth guy in the in road but not yeah like five guys in front of me that's correct none of them could pull over you had room in your left lane yet you did not pull over two car Lanes I mean I would had to cut the guy off you also have to wear your seat belt it's also required by I just took it out to get my I just took it out to get my wallet out wallet in the I would I would have no way of knowing that if uh right unless you unless you leave it on as required by Arizona law well I'm not driving well I understand that but how am I supposed to know well when you looked in you could have seen it I took it off when you asked for my license or registration 30 insurance so just so you know you took it off before I got up to the window cuz you haven't been wearing it in 1 second since I walked up to your window that back seat belt religiously okay it's the very next piece of paper nope next one down yep that's it I'll give you that there hang tight for me sir good grief so I don't know if you could look in your rearview mirror see the camera guy back there I have a cameraman with me who was recording at the time when you drove past me so there was actually no vehicles anywhere in front of you the vehicles that I remembered were the vehicles that were behind you [Music] so there was not a single vehicle in front of you at all when you passed me expect me to pull over with people behind you I I with people behind you yes you can pull over where I've been sitting here there's been about 75 cars go by not more okay what does that mean well why ever been F have you ever been fishing well right now once you hook a fish you have to take care of that fish before you can go get another fish or right now you're my fish so I can't leave you for committing a violation and then go get someone else for that violation I it it makes no sense I would I would spend all day chasing one vehicle and then another and I would never get anything done so since I have your violation on video I'm sorry what are we doing what are we doing uh you're receiving a citation great bring the video to court you didn't need it oh absolutely so no you don't get that no you don't have to sign anything uh so uh failing the yield for an emergency vehicle where you can make a lane change adjacent is what the violation is so there's two lanes here there was room to your left it shows it on video very plainly um where you pass not only the DPS Officer that was behind me but then also me with my red and blue lights activated so uh all you had to do was move over you failed to do so and that's what the violation is um the court jurisdiction here is the Western panal justice courts located in the city of Maricopa on the bottom of that's a phone number you can give them a call if you wish they'll be able to give you any information that you might want within the paper work I gave you is your driver's license and your registration that you gave me as I stand here at your window are there any questions I can answer for you before I release you yeah so does this make your quota are you good now well the the Supreme Court has said that quotas are illegal so we can't have quotas I'm sure that stops you the Supreme Court kind of dictates what I do it's called Cas law um are there any other questions I can answer for you I'm pretty sure I know more about Cas law than you I know more than you all right sir that's absolutely possible I'm I'm I'm not the I don't know everything but I know a violation when I see it make sure you put your seat belt on you drive safely today uh there was a DPS Officer on a traffic stop behind where I was sitting so I pulled in front of him maybe about 100 yards put my rear flashing lights on and then watched cars as they were going to see if anyone was going to drive past him um while he's on his traffic stop in the lane directly adjacent to him I see a blue BMW in my rearview mirror it passes the DPS Officer it passes me um he's the first vehicle in line so he's got an unobscured View and he fails to move over so I go and I stop him and he's just not a not a nice human I'm just just not nice kind of aggressive straight off um argumentative and then so I write him a citation um after we reviewed the uh the video and and made sure that the violation was was exactly what I thought it was um so I go back and he's like oh cars are going past us and you know so he just doesn't want to take responsibility for the fact that he put that deep PS Officer in Danger by driving past him so close and you know and threaten me well you take that video to court so this video is going to go to court um maybe I'll win maybe I'll lose we'll see what happens with the judge but I feel like I had enough based on the way the law is written to issue him that citation so we'll see what happens he didn't seem to be very happy when he left but sometimes that's what happens in traffic enforcement [Music]
