Pinal County Sheriff Ross Teeple. I want to tell you over the last week PCSO has gotten over a half million dollars of meth off the streets of Pinal County. Last week in a coordinated effort between patrol, K9, and the anti-smuggling unit, they made a traffic stop not a mile away from our jail where they got a 21-year-old drug smuggler hauling 400 lb of methamphetamines in a professionally installed hidden compartment in the bed of this truck. And a few days later, the professionals at PCSO made another traffic stop where they found over 161 lb of meth in a very similar professionally installed compartment in a different truck. All involved individuals were booked into our bars, bed, and breakfast. Human smuggling is down, but drug smuggling is up. At PCSO, we're going to continue to make Pinal County safe and the rest of the country safe. It's an honor to serve.
