the reason that we're in Scott sale is we're doing DUI task force up here for the Waste Management Open so a lot of impaired drivers that come out of Waste Management Open they make a bad decision and we're going to try to stop them before they crash into someone ruin someone's life do something really bad so we're up here with a whole bunch of other agencies and we all came together and we're trying to stop impair drivers the reason I stopped you is you're you're weaving in your lane you're breaking for no reason you just made a wide turn to the far Lane instead of to the first available now where you coming from tonight uh I'm coming from the tournament okay how much of you drink today nothing since about 5 okay all right rental car yeah okay hop one out for me come come talk to me out here for a second get out of the road here you want me turn it off doesn't matter doesn't matter to me all right let's get up out of the road let's go take a walk over there I'm going to turn off these flashy lights here first second just right up over there on the sidewalk please all right um so about how long ago did you finish your last drink about face me this way there 5:30 okay and what were we drinking today uh Bud Light okay all right so uh any issues with your eyes uh blindness in either eye anything like that no okay wearing contacts tonight no all right uh oh let's get out of the way to this guy let this guy go by um any recent physical injuries uh just knee normal knee okay here step back back up here now that guy's gone okay so I want you exactly the way that you're standing is perfect you stand with your toes and heels together arms exactly the way they are what I'm going to do is I'm going to move this back and forth across your face once you watch it with your eyes and your eyes only don't move your head at all okay so just right there follow that 1 1 100002 1003 all right take a deep breath for me exhale all the air in your lungs through there blow blow blow blow blow blow blow blow blow blow blow blow blow so here in a state of Arizona um the the legal presumptive limit for alcohol concentration is 8 so every they say everyone is impaired at a 8ight so right now your your level based on all the tests that I conducted on you um and and the breath test just confirmed that the the impairment that I'm seeing is from alcohol but right now your alcohol level from what I can observe is above that all right so this why I want you J why your back right now you're going to be under rest for DIY so I'm Frank it's my first name um I like to go by first name see it makes it easier um I said it is it is my intent to get you to your to your hotel room this evening um as long as we continue to be two gentlemen this is the way we're going to work through this problem we're going to be done with it and we'll get you home um so here in the state of Arizona we going to transport you down we're doing there's a whole bunch of officers in the area that are doing a a DUI task force so here for Arizona what we do is we do a form called the admin per se and what that does is it's has to do with your driving privilege um in the state of Arizona and then we have a interstate compact with Idaho we have all with all the western states so also affects Idaho knowing that if you don't submit to the test that your license will be suspended for 12 months uh and if you do your license will only be suspended for 90 consecutive days will you consent to the test no okay but one of the things that we do here in Arizona they probably don't do in Idaho is we have electronic warrants for people's blood so um who that was was a superior court judge for this County I submitted a electronic warrant based on the probable cause that I obtained during our contact and put all that in a affidavit sent it to him and he just called me and swore me in now I have a valid warrant so now I don't need your permission but we're going to draw your blood so I'm also a state qualified photom have been now for 22 years so any pain or discomfort no you're good perfect do you feel any effects from the alcohol that you [Music] consumed no okay um do you think that it affected your driving at all uh no okay on a scale of 1 to 10 where one is totally sober and 10 is falling down drunk how would you rate yourself the time that you you driving okay so you're a129 on your first breath sample and a 123 on your second breast sample and that was uh 58 minutes after I stopped you so um so I stopped you at 808 that test was given at at 902 so you think about your your alcohol concentration is slowly coming down and your highest is a 129 so you figure if it went down that far just in five minutes think about where you were at the time I stopped you you're probably in the mid 13s to a 14 so [Music]
