Hello. Hello. My normal job with the Sheriff's Office, I work criminal interdiction. So, my main focus is catching people smuggling product from Mexico into Phoenix and then before it goes cross country. So, that's narcotics. That includes weapons and ammunition being smuggled southbound as well as US currency. Check up here. Check up here. He's a German Shorthair Pointer. He is a year and 7 months. So, he's still a puppy. They like to hunt and play, which transitions to narcotics work. I've been with the Sheriff's Office for 16 years. 13 years have been behind a dual purpose dog. A Belgian Malinois, which is the bite dog and narcotics detection. He's a little bit of a change for me. He's just single purpose, finds narcotics. He's has some of the same characteristics of a Malinois, where they're high speed all the time, but he just doesn't bite you. At home, he's 100 miles an hour, always looking for something to do. The dog is the best partner we could ask for. He's a tool that we have. So, anytime we need to sniff a vehicle or we have the reasonable suspicion to believe that there's something going on with the vehicle, we can deploy him and he'll confirm or deny our suspicions.
