I've got about 450 base jumps 200 of which are wing suit base jumps I've learned a lot from uh meeting with Dylan um I didn't realize how technical uh the actual process was we got a 911 call that a base jumper had uh taken a crash in the Superstition Mountains when I pulled my parachute it came out backwards by the time I untwisted my lines um and had a good flyable canopy um I had a few seconds before I landed and unfortunately a boulder was right where I landed and I ended up with quite a few injuries I got a concussion cuz I hit the bowler head on with the top of my head fortunately I had an impact rated helmet which is critical so I'm telling all my friends they got to switch over to impact rated the helmet saved my life it's rewarding it's probably one of the best things I've been able to do as a career in law enforcement is the search and rescue aspect uh people are always happy to see you when you get there in all Cy Sheriff's Office uh has quite a spectacular search and rescue team so let's just try not to take advantage of that
