What's your driver's license? >> I don't have it on me yet. It's right out up here at the house, though. >> Okay. You have motorcycle endorsement on it? >> Um, >> okay. >> All right. Um, so is this thing electric or is it >> electric? >> Okay. What uh what's the rating on it? >> Like the class? >> I'm actually not sure. >> Not sure. Well, it's it's got to be on there somewhere. >> I actually never ride it on the street. I was just >> I just changed the >> You did today. And the first time I saw you, you were 25 in the 15 mph school zone. You don't have any eye protection on. So that's So you were 10 over in the school zone right up over there on on Kenworthy. >> Maybe this is miscalibrated. I It was 15 on there. >> Oh yeah, you were absolutely not 15. >> Okay. >> So you have all sorts of violations. I mean all sorts of violations on this. These are considered motorcycles. >> They are. So, you need everything you need to operate a motorcycle, including eye protection, which was the second thing that I saw on you. First, I saw your speed and I was like, "Holy cow, that guy's 10 mph over." And I was like, "He doesn't even have any eye protection." And then you just kind of went. So, um, so what I did was to keep this half on the learning curve. You're going to get some citations cuz you did a whole bunch of stuff wrong. >> Um, so school zone speed excess 15. Like I said, I got you 25 and a 15, so you're 10 over. um improper helmet/ eye protection windshield. Um all of those fall the verbiage in Arizona state law is all the same that you need something that protects your eyes. Um obviously a be a fly a mosquito flies in your eye, you're going to dump this bike. >> Um and then you don't have any head protection on or anything like that. And then you don't have any sort of motorcycle permit. If you had a motorcycle permit, you would know about that. So those things you're also required to have registration on this. You're required to have rearview mirrors on this. You're required to have insurance on this. It is a >> mirror required. It is a motorcycle. So, you need you need all of those all of those things. Go through a motorcycle school. Um, they'll teach you all that. That's that's kind of where you learn all that. So, I know you live right in this neighborhood, right? Right down there. Okay. So, I'm well within my right to tow this bike. Um, and if you had done something stupid like tried to outrun me or anything like that, that would be ill advised obviously here in Panal County where we chase people. Um, but if you would have done anything stupid like that, I'd be towing your bike. I'm gonna let you walk this bike home. You live here in the neighborhood. You can just walk it down the roads. Obviously, it's not too hot today. So, I'm not going to tow this. And I'm going to give you that benefit of the doubt that you're just going to Yep. that you're just going to fix everything and you're going to be a good human and make all the changes. >> You won't see me on the street again. I sure appreciate that it on the street. This is the one stupid time. >> I just I just happy to get you. All right, man. Walk this thing home. I appreciate you being cool. >> Thanks, man. these ebikes, motorcycles, electric bicycles, um they're not all the same. If you have functioning pedals and you have an electric motor on it that's less than 750 watts with functional pedals, that's an electric bicycle. If you don't have any sort of cranks on it and you have no way to power that except through electricity, that is a motorcycle. And it is required to have all of the equipment that a motorcycle has. Valid license, motorcycle endorsement, eye protection, registration, insurance, rearview mirrors, headlight, tail light, everything. We consider it a motorcycle. I know that there's parents that are buying these for kids. Um the kids are driving them all over everywhere. They're up in the valley in the cities. They're down here in Santan. So, we're dealing with it. Uh if we're stopping kids that don't have they have no idea. They don't have a driver's license. They don't know the rules of the road. Um, we're taking these [music] bikes. We're impounding them. Um, Arizona law allows us to do that. We're calling parents, having parents come kick their their kids up, but that motorcycle is gone. Um, so if you're going to buy one of these or you have bought one for your kid, uh, make sure that you look into the laws. Uh, go to your local jurisdiction, whether you're in a a local municipality or you're with the sheriff's office. Um, find out, get the knowledge so that you're not allowing your kids to knowingly break the law. Um, and it'll save you money in the long run.
