it's December we're post election I have the uh I have the the sheriff elect uh former Lieutenant future Sheriff Rost with me so uh we're out doing some traffic enforcement this morning and uh just wanted to want to get you in the car and kind of give you an opportunity to see what what we do here one with Fridays with Frank and uh and me having a cameraman and just how we uh how we enforce traffic laws here today in Santan Valley cool yeah that's one thing that I think is really important is is Mark and I when we're do making this transition is we want to make sure that we continue on with the excellent traffic enforcement that you guys are doing with our traffic enforcement unit and especially with the fact that we just have the exchange with the public and the transparency that is Fridays with Frank I'm going to get this guy right here right at magma magma great place yeah that's I was thinking nope there we go top 16 cup d [Music] and right there well good morning may I see your driver's license please all right well I'm Deputy slope Lieutenant tles on your passenger side we both work for the panel County Sheriff's Office okay reason I stopped you is speed limit on Hunt highways 45 and I locked you in radar at 64 right over on thisle and Hunt I don't know is that one it's yeah right right up over there no no no way up way up on the other side of of ganel Road it just took me a little while to catch CCH up to you got I didn't realize I was speeding I was it happens do you have to have current registration and current insurance I don't my my is this is my husband's grandmother's car and she just passed away and we're supposed to go up to flag sou this weekend to switch everything over uhuh I don't have that with all right hang tight for me please but they do have it they do my my mother-in-law has it absolutely so it is current I just it's not under my all right hit for me we have never stopped her before so she's never ever been stopped by the panau county sheriff's office for anything so she's certainly not a habitual traffic offender so I don't know what your philosophy on issuing tickets is cuz the sheriff doesn't write tickets well I don't know what the future Sheriff does so I don't know what to do we've never contacted her the panal K sheriff's office has never contacted her ever for any reason ever she's not even in the system so are you a warning you're warning are you feeling are you feeling like you want to give a warning this morning if this was my traffic Stu two things if this was my traffic stuff I would give her a warning she she pulled over immediately she is your traffic stop she she admitted it's her fault but I I truly believe that I just said it in the last video that I I love the sheriff's office cuz we give discretion to the deputies as far as minor traffic so whatever a deputy pulls over whatever they decid to do I like it she looks like a good person for a warning she got a baby sleeping there's a baby in there okay okay we got to be quiet so I'm going to give that to you thanks for having a current so make sure that this weekend you take care of all your stuff okay so make sure you get your registration paperwork get your insurance have all that stuff in here okay so and I see that we've never you've never had contact with the panel County Sheriff's office before nope so here's your warning for Speed you don't you don't get very many of them but you're going to have one this morning oh that's okay I appreciate the warning you're very welcome have you ever heard of the TV show Fridays with Frank no so if you when you get home go on YouTube and look up Fridays with Frank I love watching the police videos where there's this on Tik Tok there's this gentleman called Fridays with Frank and he's one of the most followed people on the internet and he's very famous for not giving warnings so you might end up on his episode that's Frank you're Frank well it's nice to meet you Frank it's a pleasure ma'am thank you so much thank you so much so you drive safe to thank you for also for having your baby in a car seat that's super important also thanks for keeping the baby safe she doesn't have her face on here so it's like just strapped in the normal way and even that makes me yeah but it's it's secured properly I mean I can see that it's it's strapped in properly so that's what's important thank you so much than you drive safely man God bless you on January 1st you're going to take control of the panal county sheriff's office as the sheriff so what like what's going to be different from the sheriff lamb Administration that was you know before you to the sheriff T Administration moving forward let me start with what's not going to change the same core values and the same honor of service that we have towards the citizens of panell County and making panel County the safest large County that's going to continue what what is going to change is is like we were discussing earli this morning um region-based traffic enforcement every area panell county has different traffic enforcement needs we like MCG is a perfect example you you pointed out this morning so region-based traffic enforcement pay raises for our Detention officers they got their last raise was 2 years ago and it was before this just out of control inflation so pay raises for our Detention officers and quicker response times options be in the Fri parking lot hi there see your driver's license please I am hi see your driver's license I this is not a good way to meet Frank no it is absolutely not so you know who I am when I get your license I'll know who you are you don't the uh the very soon to be next Sheriff of panel County he at your passenger side window so you can go talk to him so you have any idea why I might have stopped you I probably made a left hand turn when I shouldn't have you did there's a whole there's two signs there that say no left turn and you said you know I'm going to make that left anyway oh I know I was B the person ahead me did it so I thought I with it see that's it see how your registration Insurance please hey that one's good all the way through next year keep that one don't don't get yeah don't get rid of that one that one's good till that one's good till March oh yeah but we have hunting Bell Vista is one of the worst intersections there it is O A yep right on top there you go do you want it sure I'll take it back to him young lady thank you the one they can find expired in 2023 yep and her driver's license is expired all right her driver's license expired September 3rd of 2024 I bet she doesn't even know it I bet not I know how old you are now shh it's important though why do you know when driver's licenses automatically expire in Arizona automatically expire yes sir my driver Li tired is that what you're telling me yes ma'am it is hey there are you kidding me ma'am I don't kid about Arizona Motor Vehicle law oh now hush come on no I want to see the driver right there September 3rd 2024 ID expiration you're just you're like a multi-level violator today look my aim is to be multi level but not that last one I oh my God it's all okay so all my life and not an excuse honest to God truth it's always yeah and I which is think to there would be cuz it's from when it actually expires from when it's issued not on your birthday so yeah so I figure since we're yeah you going Ty in jail I mean do you need to go to jail no she does right I didn't I didn't think so I didn't I don't get the I'm a violator that needs to go to jail Vibe coming out of your car so I think we can but use this as a catalyst and go and make sure we get that taken care of but now I'm stuck I can't drive there that's correct what do I do now you going to come pick me up me new team he can I can drive you can drive you want to see my driver's do you have a good driver's license I'll have to check don't know I mean hey I thought I had a good one on this side too and oh my god I'm laughing and I'm crying I I cannot believe this oh please don't tell me it's fire please I know L 24 two oh my L you guys are stuck at the fries that's it my God only I got a Arizona 2729 by o so take care of we will don't violate David seven would part of my job I'll right down I couldn't tell you when mine expires I mean who who looks at it yeah hey guess what kids I I don't even have to wait for her to respond but I can tell you guys you got your driver's licenses on the same day cuz see yours expired 93 of 2024 neither one of you have had valid driver's [Laughter] license I honestly thought I thought m expired on the 29th he's 29 negative and expired thank you so are we going to be able to go and get them we're not allowed to drive without so this is this is how I'm going to phrase this there are tens of thousands of people that reside in Santan Valley right yeah well I have to I have to go talk to other people and you are an adult and you can make an adult decision so you figure out how you're going to get and you promise not to chase me I'm going I'm not going to chase you so sure you guys have have a look at that we're on TV yeah there's a cameraman behind you also yeah well that's not TV those are just people there's a cameraman behind you that's going to put you on the internet yeah it's not every day it's just every once in a while we learned something today the same all right guys well you're you're safe here because you're in a private parking lot so you don't and you don't need a driver's license to drive in a parking lot so you guys can you can go to the store wherever you guys need to do and then figure out how you're going to get out of here okay if you don't take I'm I'm not telling you you can't drive you don't have a [Music] license I appreciate that thank [Music] you I figured as soon as he handed me my driver's license I was like oh yep I thought the same thing I thought you I bet you guys both got it on the same day they look like a couple that do a lot of things together [Music]
