You don't want to finish with your uh complaint. >> Why? What does it matter? You're not going to do anything about it. You just said that. >> And I do have every right to record you. >> I you were recording me. No, I don't care if you're recording me. >> No, no, no, no, no. You said Excuse me. Did you not just say you had not the right? >> You're walking away. I don't have to respond to you. >> Really? I don't have to respond to you, either. Especially when you yell at me when you get out the god damn car. >> Police responded to a man's report about a parking dispute, but instead of focusing on the alleged misconduct and threats, the officers quickly became dismissive and confrontational. As the man calmly explained that he feared for his safety and repeatedly asked police to investigate the suspect, the officers interrupted him, raised their voices, and appeared more irritated by his recording and criticism than concerned about the issues he reported. But instead of backing down, the man continued filming, invoked his constitutional rights, and challenged the officers for refusing to properly address his complaint. In the end, with police taking no meaningful action, the man was forced to leave the scene and pursue further legal action on his own. >> What's up, sir? Okay. So, I'm minding my own business. I leave my apartment today to come to go buy a pack of smokes. Um let me put this out. I come up to come down uh yeah, come up to come down here through the little dog leg >> turn your camera on, please? Good. >> Yes. >> Bring your recording uh mic over here. >> Yes. I mean, it's >> I just want to advise you, you're going to be recording >> fine, so so here. That's fine. >> Okay. >> Um uh you Everybody has >> consenting. >> That's fine. You don't have to. I have every right to record you. You're a public servant. Anyway, that's beside the point. >> No, you don't. >> Yes, I do, sir. Actually, yes, I do. Would you like me to go get the court cases right now and prove it to you? Yes, I do. >> No, what what what >> Anyway, yes, I do, sir. Yes, I do. I want to file a complaint against him. >> What's going on? >> I pull in here, I stop. The guy There's two cars parked at that where the red car is. There's a car in front of that one. I pull in. He pulls out in front of me and almost hit me. >> He pulls out in front of you? >> He pulls out like he's I don't know if he's coming around or something. I don't know. I'm pulling in. I have no idea what's going on. I'm driving my car. So, I don't know what he's doing, sir. Okay? I pull in, he pulls out, I stop, so I'm like on the sidewalk and kind of in the thing cuz he's in my way. He pulls in this way and has his tail end still facing me. >> In what thing? >> I mean, in his car, in the tail end of his car. >> No, you said you pulled in the thing is >> My car is sitting here with his >> Okay, where's here exactly? >> I'm pointing right where that red car is, right where that red car just pulled in. Do you not see the entranceway there, sir? >> Articulate, please. >> I'm trying to. But you know what? The way your officer yelled at me as soon as he got out of the car doesn't help matters, especially when I just had my life threatened. Okay? So, now unless you want to actually enforce the law of terroristic threat and go find that person, I'll enforce my right for standing your ground next time he does that. And I do have that right. And you know what? I do have the right to record you, sir. >> You don't want to finish with your complaint? >> Why? What does it matter? You're not going to do anything about it. You just said that. >> You said >> And I do have every right to record you. >> care if I you were recording me. No, I don't care if you're recording me. >> No, no, no, no, you said Excuse me, did you not just say you had had not the right? >> You're walking away. I don't have to respond to you. >> Really? I don't have to respond to you either. Especially when you yell at me when you get out of the god damn car. >> So, anyways. >> Maybe if you actually behaved appropriately >> Are you going to drop in first words or are we going back to >> Does that matter? That person cursed at me. I don't see you doing anything about that. That person threatened my life. I don't see you doing anything about that. >> I told you. No, you you haven't finished your com >> you. Yes, I told you. No, I told No, cuz you keep saying "What thing? What thing?" And maybe if you shut up and listen. Thank you. I pulled in, he pulled out. Who is he? The gentleman that was in the car. >> Well, what what car? >> The car turned out here, went down that side street. When I was on the phone with 911, it's recorded on them, and I have it recorded on my phone as well. >> Okay. >> My phone call records all emergency phone calls. >> Okay. >> So, I told the person on the phone, I was absolutely polite to them. Your officer yells at me when I first come when I'm first standing here. You did. >> No, it's only >> You did. And I asked you, And I asked you, "What do I know you or something?" >> As soon as I turn it on, it goes back to me. >> Yeah, yeah, yeah. >> able to check on it and see if it >> he record you yelling at me when you first pulled up and I asked you? Yes, he did. Yes, he did, sir. Yes, he did. Hey, what's going on here? Excuse me? >> I said, "Good afternoon." >> Yeah, you yelled at me, and I You yelled at me. Yeah, that is yelling, sir. Did you raise your voice? Funny, you're waving your hand at him to tell him to stop. Why are you trying to make him stop? Tell him what he did. So, I pulled in right where that Hummer just pulled in. Right there. He pulled out and turned his car cockeyed. His tail end was still facing me. I'm facing straight towards the building. He puts his car in reverse and starts backing it in almost up to my bumper. I yelled out, "Hey, dude, what are you doing? What the hell?" And he stopped, straightened his car out, so now it's straight this way instead of his tail end kind of crooked facing me. >> [snorts] >> I went around him with plenty of room. You actually have less room parked here than I did going around him. Pulled in and walked to the door. When I walked to the door, he comes out of his car, starts screaming at me that he's going to [ __ ] kill me. Those are his words. "I'm going to knock you the [ __ ] out, you big man." Everything else. I walked in the store, the first thing I said was Don't know him. Absolutely don't know him. Gray, dark gray, gun >> plate? >> Didn't see the license plate, sir. I was looking at the car when I called from 911. It's all recorded on the 911 call. >> No, did you record the guy? >> It's all recorded on the 911 call, sir. >> of that? >> It's all recorded on the You think I'm going to get a picture all the way from in the store from all the way over where that gentleman is standing? >> No. You record everything else. I thought you said you record everything else. >> Funny, why are you concerned more about me making sure that you do your job and you are upholding the law, sir? >> I'm I'm asking >> You are a public servant. Do your job. >> Did you get a photo of the guy? >> No, I didn't. I gave a description to the 911 person. Dark blue hoodie, black hat, red lettering, dark gray, almost gunmetal gray, like I can't >> I don't know where your gun is. Do your job. All I want to make sure is the [ __ ] follow me the [ __ ] home and shoot me down in front of my [ __ ] house. Is that so hard to do? Is that so hard to do to sit here and wait for me to pull out and go up the street and make sure that no other cars that match that description follow me up. Right there, that's all I wanted. I wanted to make a make a report and you people are sitting here and behave like that. All of this, sir, could have been avoided if y'all just didn't have the same attitude you pulled out on YouTube. I will. You absolutely do. That's why two Swedish cops schooled the [ __ ] out of New York Police Department up there on the subway, didn't they? Teaching cops how to really behave.
