Ala received the following citations pending her appearance in John's Creek Municipal Court. DUI, less safe, alcohol, reckless driving, and open container violation. Is that why you guys? >> Why do I have to go to jail? What? You guys have >> things blew up when DCF came to take custody of the child and no one was backing down. >> Panic. Y'all need to go to my grandmother house. >> I have to wait for that. >> Why do I have to go to jail? >> Amidst the shouting and conflicting accusations, a controversial question arose. Does this document really have my home address? And we have paperwork to enter your home and we will use force if you don't answer the door. >> The the court order has a clause for allow officers make forceful entry to get the child. Judge did add a clause in there. I read off this sergeant. He's on his way. Jordan's out there just making announcements. So we're pounding on the door. >> She's she's in there. She looked out. >> You actually saw >> Well, I can't say it was the girl in DL photo, but somebody looked out the back window, saw me here, and then duck down. >> Well, somebody answered the door. They said it wasn't the mother, but she immediately was like, "Hang on, just slam the door." And now nobody's answering. So I let Sergeant know all that. He says, "Good. He's on his way. Hold it back if you guys hang out here." >> No, nobody's in. >> Will you tell them on the other side that the door's open? >> My mom boyfriend might be in his room, but my mom's at work. >> Okay. >> My back to my daughter's room. >> You woke up and you didn't really know what's going on. We'll explain to you. >> I did. Hold on. You hold on, please. Let me talk to you, sir. This what I'm saying. >> I'm being rude. Can you come down? I'm being rude because I just think there's no there's no address on there. There's no name for the person who address. You just put my daughter. You just put my daughter. >> If you don't calm down, we can't explain. >> All right. Let me calm down. You you show me the search. >> My thing is the first one doesn't have our address on you. Okay. The search warrant is for here. If you don't know the search the search warrant you speak about misunderstood. >> No search warrant. >> You said you had a search warrant. >> She clearly told me. >> I never said the word search warrant. >> That's what I'm telling you. Bro, >> no. You're not telling me anything. >> I don't want to talk to you. You're not telling me anything. You don't want to show be nice to you. I want you to be reasonable. >> We have an order to enter the home and take the child from the address >> from this address. >> There's no address on there that says >> mother of the child has this address listed as her residence. >> I was told by the female that answered the door that she was here with the baby. >> Room was locked. Silence stretched and a truth that no one wanted to face was waiting behind the door. >> So the mother put her address here. So, this address is listed as her address. >> How How can she do that? Her name >> I know you have commentary, but let me just finish real quick so you can hear the whole thing. DCS has paperwork, a judge signed paperwork that says the police can use force and enter this home and retrieve the baby. That That is the paperwork. How do I know how old your daughter, right? This is your daughter. >> All right, guys. I got to calm down. >> Your daughter told us that she was here. I did not say guys that I just came from home from school and my mom said is she here and you said yeah and you closed the door like you were going to go get her cuz you didn't know that's fine >> nobody's mad at you I don't want to I don't want to inter >> we were told she was here >> and we came in >> that this is really this is very disturbing right >> no no listen you were saying You were asleep, right? >> Right. Imagine how that feel. >> No, listen. Your 16-year-old daughter opened the door, says yes, you can come in. Right. And did we leave after you you said you can't be in here and leave? Right. We left, right? Yes or no? I'm still here. >> Yes. No. No. No. We left the house. Is that correct? Yes or no? >> It took a second for y'all to get out. I had >> Yes, it had to start. I had to start getting >> We have good reason to be in there with the judges. >> No, you had permission from what you said. All I was asking for was proof of address and proof of just show show me she's show me >> you have to give us an opportunity to explain if you woke up this is great explanations are great right but you're not showing me the proof if we're in a court of law right now you guys will lose the case because you never showed me the proof to say >> there's no this isn't a criminal matter >> I didn't say this is a case I said if we were in a court of law proof isn't a penny >> when the child is found in unexpected circumstances things take a turn of no return >> when locked officer Right. She's in there. >> Yeah, more than likely. He's being a pain in the butt. But I finally got through and said, "What's going on?" We're not leaving. The student's going to come out. We explain again, but we are going in there whether we can address on there. >> Yeah. I asked her, she goes, "There's an address here. Is there anywhere the child is going to be?" He's already admitted. She just sleeps on the couch. We should be all just fine. So, >> you like I can't hold the paper. >> See this emergency >> for to produce access to the home? >> Hold that one second. >> Okay. And then this part right here says, "Law enforcement officers are hereby authorized to make a forcible entry at any hour using any and all reasonable necessary right here. All right, now >> she has refused to produce the child to the state." >> That's all for real. Okay. >> The residence. This is your address. >> Thank you. That's what the I'm talking about. Now you're human. >> Okay. But you understand that the address would have happened. That's all I'm saying. If she would have pulled that out off ripping or he said he had it in his hand. >> It would have been easier if no addressing with people and getting for the address. >> I was talking about the same thing from the beginning. The address. I keep saying show me the address. >> It's right here. >> DCF's up front and stuff like that cuz that's where the guy is that kicked us out. >> We didn't want to kind of escalate anymore. Here's what happened. The 16-year-old daughter's like, "Finally answer the door. Hey, you can come in." >> They go through the house. They find two doors and knock on the one. The male came out freaked out. Cursing. Get out. Get out. Get out. There's still one door locked and they're not no one answered the door and he doesn't want us to answer it. We backed out. Took us a while to explain it to him. Explain it to him. He still doesn't want to go us to go in there. So I said, "We're just going to wait till you get here." We explain it again. >> One bedroom with a man whom who they're saying the kid's not in there. >> Yes. Everyone >> the owner of the house, >> but he doesn't want us to look into the >> Okay. And that would be the parent of the child. >> No, no, no, no. The parent of the house. >> Who's the parent of the child? >> What's her name? >> Is that person here? >> No. No. No. The child or that mother is here. We believe because they're not letting us in there and then we answer the door and the door's locked. >> He's already on the back side um with DCF and everybody on the outside. >> Two sides. >> Yes, sir. There's two doors. >> From an administrative check to an arrest warrant and a sentence that could last more than a decade. Where is the line between protection and guilt? >> And the judge signed off on that address. I get tired. >> Officer Solomon's going to search you. Officer Solomon's going to search you. >> Spread your feet. >> Spread your feet. >> Where was the baby? >> Under a blanket. >> Is that why I have to do you guys for that? >> Why do I have to go to jail? >> Because you know exactly why. I'm sorry. We're done with this. >> You're being arrested for obstruction because you didn't you didn't cooperate. >> I I already have enough my class. Sorry. I have no sympathy for you when you just lie to us. >> Face the guard, please. Just hold still. Just hold still. >> Can you widen your stance, please? >> There you go. A little bit wider. >> We can't. It's too late now. >> That's my >> We weren't going to take you to jail, but >> your actions. >> Can you just get your phone start? >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> Get in. >> Can you send one of the girls from DCF over? The mother was arrested for obstruction of official duty. After the child was found, police turned her over to DCF. The mother's custody was suspended at the scene for her willful conduct and endangerment of the child. Next, it's 86°. Six kids left in car and parking lot. And where's the mom? >> President panic. I don't want to say nothing stupid where I'm going to get my sentence recorrected and recored. Give all of your >> When the police asked to open the door to rescue the children, the mother responded with defiance and arrogant arguments. >> Mine both. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Ran in cuz my sister >> ran in. How long? >> Not long. >> She's been here an hour. >> [ __ ] >> I don't care. I don't care. It's 86° outside. You have six children unattended. No, you don't. >> Yes, I do. >> I know. I'm trying to get her to open the car so I can get the kids out, though. >> Thus far, she has no information. I'm trying to get kids out because it's hot and she can't get the doors open. >> Yes, I can. Where do you have keys to this car? >> I got the keys to that car. Let me have the keys. >> No, I can do it. >> No, it's not a question whether you can. I want the kids out. >> And you have a dog that's back here. >> We're going to walk over here and get these kids out next. >> I don't appreciate the attitude. Here's where I'm at. You have six children and two left. I am going to yell at you because you're not leaving once you get the kids out. >> Yes, I am. >> No, ma'am. You're not. >> Yes, I am. >> No, I'm sorry. >> I don't know what to say. I'm going based off of what she's saying. That's fine. >> You don't even know the whole truth. So you >> I don't need to know the whole truth. You're not even These kids are not even allowed to be unattended in a vehicle at all. >> I could run in for an emergency. You exited with merchandise you didn't pay for. >> Not those bags. No. >> They're going to go through all of it. >> They're going to go through all of it. >> That's [ __ ] >> Stephanie, do you have ID in one of those bags? >> No. >> Okay. [Applause] Face the front. Face the front. You're 40 years old. >> And you already know this is harassment. >> It's not harassment. >> Yes, it is. >> How is it harassment if you took the property that you >> She cried, screamed, and accused the police. But in the end, who had to face the law? >> Just stop. >> So, I'm asking you to >> wrong. What do you expect me to do? >> Deal. >> Stop. >> I have no idea why you're behaving like that. >> Stop. This isn't right. >> It isn't. >> Not a joke. >> So, this isn't harassment. You brought this up on yourself. >> Yes, it is. >> No. When you steal, you bring the attention upon yourself. >> Yes, it is. How is it harassment? [Applause] >> How is it harassment, Stephanie? >> Because you know how Oh, >> you keep saying that, but obviously I don't know how it's harassment. >> You're trying to make me a rat. >> I didn't ask you to say who you're stealing it from. >> No, you are. >> No, I basically said you're >> okay. >> Stealing. >> Okay. >> And I'm just asking >> Are you telling me I'm crazy? No, I'm asking why behavior >> all in my head. >> No, never said that. >> I'm just trying to drill down behavior you are. After determining the value of the stolen goods to be approximately $850, 0, the woman was formally arrested for felony theft and resisting arrest. Next, a woman screams in the middle of the street accusing of being chased for no reason. But is she really just a victim? You're not leaving. >> Yes, I am. Let go of my >> because I didn't just let go. You're trying to listen. >> And you're not leaving. >> So, you're being detained until we figure out what's going on. >> Oh my god. >> She insisted she wasn't carrying anything. But why did the bag suddenly fall flat after turning into another store? >> It's traffic. >> Okay. It's probably cuz maybe you had stuff that didn't belong to you. >> He's accusing me of that. No, I didn't do anything wrong. >> Okay. He said if nothing happened you and I said that's fine. You can trespass me. >> Okay. >> I said I've been walking today. >> Did you want to talk with me outside just so we're not in middle of a doctor's office? >> Yeah. >> I called my husband because he would not stop following me. Like he he like takes me all the way across the street. I had to like >> run through oncoming traffic to try to get away from him. >> Understood. Yeah. So we're we'll make it right whatever is going on first and foremost. So, I like to uh stay safe. And so, the guy who was following you, he called us. Um, and then I guess Did you also call us as well? >> Yeah. >> I don't know if I didn't get routed to the right place or what? It >> It did come through, but >> I did. I hung up when I got in here. The lady let me in here and she said she would call the police and I said, "Okay." And they said I could sit down. >> Yeah. So, it did come through. >> Hello. Hey, are you here? >> Negative. I'm out with a female. Uh, loss prevention is going to be at Firestone. Um, gonna try to recover some property from over there. So, we'll need someone to meet the LP guy at Firestone and then go to Kohl's as well. >> Hello. >> Can Can you please come pick me up? Okay. >> Time for start by going to Firestone >> and if there's property discarded in the bathroom, just take pictures of it. >> So, first and foremost, I just want to make sure everyone's safe. Um >> yeah. So me can you escort me away from here so way he can't follow me anymore? >> So he is not here. So he was here and he's over at Firestone now. >> Um because I guess that's where you were and um it was believed that maybe some property that was in your bag might be in there. >> I don't have any. >> Um so that um so there was mention that you mentioned to him that you're armed and maybe that's just because you were scared. Um, so >> it was because I'm scared. I do I can I had you I don't want to go reach my back or anything. I can take it off. I can hand it to you. >> Okay. >> The woman repeatedly asked to leave the scene, but the police declared if she walked away, she would be arrested immediately. >> So, who chases the woman? Like, I had several old men ask me if I needed help. I had people like >> Um, so let's start with the bag thing. So, uh, you said no weapons and no stolen property in your bag or anything like that? >> Nope. >> Okay. Is is it okay if I search it and make sure? >> Yeah. >> In your jacket. >> 218. >> Thank you. >> I'm right outside the front door. >> But other than this, how's your day? How's your day going? Other than this craziness, right? >> This is my first errand to start with. It's a nice day. Oh, boy. >> I'm out walking to my errands. I went into playing clothes. >> Is it okay if I take your ID out? >> I was going to tell you absolutely. Yeah. It's out and >> Okay. >> Oh, well, no, cuz you don't need that. >> Okay. Well, as soon as uh it's determined whether a crime was or was not committed, um I I will >> I don't commit a crime. >> Well, we're going to find out. >> I don't have anything on me. I don't I did not commit a crime. >> Okay. >> So, I'm just saying that because that guy's accusing you of it. >> Yeah, I know. But I don't have anything on me. >> I I did not I did not steal anything from him. So, so we're going to check the cameras at Kohl's and if it's determined that you did, then I will get your ID. That's how that works. Okay. >> Okay. So, I can leave in the meantime. >> Nope. You're detained. Not allowed to leave. If you try to leave, you'd be arrested. >> How can you detain me when I haven't committed a crime? >> Because someone >> I'm accusing him of a crime and you're not detaining him. >> One second. Get a phone call. >> Hey, >> are you done? >> No, it's possible. Um, but go to a Firestone. So, we we first have to confirm whether a crime was committed or not. The bag that she had uh was full of stuff before she went to Firestone. Upon leaving Firestone, it's empty. So, it's believed that items were discarded inside of Firestone's bathroom. So, go over there. Um take pictures of the bathroom. Um just take pictures whether there's stuff in there or not. Um recover the property if any. >> Tensions flare. She screams, struggles, accuses the police of arresting the wrong person. But is it really that simple? >> And then >> like someone in plain clothes chasing you. I didn't. No crime is per committed. You have no proof. You have no right to detain. >> Yes. You do. So you're not leaving. If you leave, you're going to go to jail right now. So you're staying right here. >> That's That's not true. >> That's how it works. >> I already explained that to you, right? >> I know my rights and I have not done anything wrong. You cannot detain me. >> Yeah. Someone accused you of a crime. >> I'm accusing him of a crime and you're not detaining him. >> So he's Cole's security. >> It doesn't matter who he is. You cannot harass people. You cannot put your hands on people. You cannot chase people. I'm a female. >> We are not holding court. This is how it's going to work. You're going to stay here. >> We figure out what's going on. >> You know that that's illegal. >> So not illegal. I have not done anything wrong. >> Push this down. Put this back on. And you're not leaving. >> Yes, I am. Let go of my stuff >> because I didn't do >> Let go. Let go. I'm not Listen. I'm cold. I'm not trying to leave. >> Let go. >> Let go of the jacket. >> Let go of the jacket. >> Let go of the jacket. >> There's nothing in it. >> You have no right to leave right now. And you're not leaving. So, you're being detained until we figure out what's going on. >> Oh my god. Oh my god. I know my rights. You guys are going to be in so much trouble. >> Okay. Well, you're being detained until >> How far am I going to get with cups on? You're the one who got uncalled and it's on. >> Is your body camera on? I was trying to put my jacket on. >> So, >> I wanted my stuff back. He searched my jacket. He searched my purse. Listen, >> I I understand. So, >> you searched my jacket. You searched my purse. It's windy. I wanted my jacket back on. That's it. You're the one who got violent >> cuz you're trying to leave the scene. >> I'm not trying to leave. >> You just told us you were leaving and you were putting your jacket on and walking away. What are you talking about? >> Okay. Okay. I understand. I understand. Thank you. So, ma'am, what we're going to do, I'm going to have you sit on this bench, and then once we're And then we're going to play the waiting game. >> Can you please take these off of me? >> No. >> They're hurting. >> They're not meant for comfort. And >> I didn't do anything wrong. They're hurting me. I have >> So, how about this? How will you work with us? Cuz we're being nice to you >> and you're trying to escalate the situation. >> But if we can all agree to be nice, I >> Thank you. So, how about you take it down a notch? Let us let us figure out what's going on. Didn't say that. Actually, you did, but that's irrelevant to right now cuz it's not a big deal. But let us figure out our job and figure out what's going on here. And if nothing happened, you'll be on your way. >> Security personnel reveal surprising details. They once found her pitiful, but it turned out it was all just a calculation. >> I was watching the cameras. I saw that she had a bag like underneath her jacket, which I thought was strange. I started to watch her on cameras and and I saw that she would select items off the shelves, put them into the bag. The bag was getting bigger and then eventually she exited the store without paying. I confronted I said, "Hey, I'm lost in renting with Cole. I'd like you to, you know, give me my stuff back." She feed ignorance. I don't know what you're talking about, man. Get away from me. I don't have nothing. I said, "Why don't you just give me the stuff back? We'll trespass you. You know, you'll be on your way." She said, "I don't have anything. Get away from me." And then she she ran some coals over this way. She went into Firestone here and her bag was very full at that time. >> Um, matter of fact, that's that's what I have on video here of here. You can see her bag is so so full. >> And then when when she came out of the bathroom there, I didn't follow her into the bathroom. I just waited, you know, and then when she came out, her bag was flat like a pancake. >> Oh, I didn't go through this yet, but I know I just took a peek and I seen a couple things of Kohl's like that. >> I didn't see anything that would prevent her and her criminal history from doing the APAD, but the amount of stuff that she stole from Kohl's exceeded the Florida statute amount to where it became a felony. So, because it's a felony theft, unfortunately, she has to take the trip and then you can she'll she'll call you once she's down there to kind of update you. Um, and then she just has to bond out due to her having little to no criminal history. I I don't know if there's I know she has to speak to a judge and he has to set the bond and all that. I don't know when that will be, but I'm sure shortly after she'd probably be released, you know, upon paying whatever the bond is, but that's what we're looking at. So, today, >> I hope so. I don't know what times. I know usually it's in the morning. It's still kind of >> Florida theft of $750. 0 cents or more is a thirdderee felony with a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison, probation, or a fine of up to $5,000. 0. The woman was charged with felony theft and resisting arrest. Although she has no prior criminal record, she was required to appear in court and post bail. The case will be processed through criminal proceedings. Maybe next time she should shop with her purse, not her trash bag. Hey guys, what do you think about this situation?
