for clothing what are your sizes for shirt pants and shoes shoes I am a a women's nine oh my God it would be so nice to have shoes that fit I haven't had those in a long time my name is Sarah ballister and I'm a Justice Services officer for panal County I love meeting people I like getting to hear people's stories and helping them get connected to services so then they can move forward and this is uh my apartment this is where I stay this is where I cook and eat I was homeless so this is really nice not being having to stay out in the cold or be dirty I can take a shower every day it's really cool it's really cool I love it my name is Michelle STS I've been sober since June 2nd 2023 if it wasn't for Teresa and that reentry program I wouldn't be standing here talking to you today I can almost guarantee you that my name is Matt Hedrick I'm the deputy chief of panal County Adult Detention Center it's started in this crazy part of sheriff Lamb's brain um and it took a route um that probably started two years ago and I'm like well what is this and so I marked it and I inquired what what exactly is re-entry I got your kite that you had some questions and that you were trying to find out about your warrant in Mesa um I am I um I don't know what information that you have that you can give me as far as like resources when I give out I would like any and all information that I can get on that over 60% don't have access to a phone or an ID and you need all of those things to be able to do get a job to get services to to get your medical care to get signed up for access all of those things require documentation and most people don't have it let alone to be able to go online to fill out applications most things are online now 90% of my jail consists of people who just made a mistake they they just had a bad day um they don't have the coping skills to deal with certain situations with our economy with family structures and they responded badly and they made a mistake and they're now in my custody or that they've um had a mental illness and they've never known it and they've always self-medicated with drugs and alcohol but these individuals um deserve and have earned the right to be treated civy and to be treated kindly and to be shown love this road has been hell it was pretty rough um I could never I couldn't never I couldn't do it on my own I wanted to for many years cuz I've been getting high since I was a little we little you're going to have less people frankly wandering the street people who are homeless people have nowhere to go people who don't have access to services and if they can get into treatment and they can maintain sobriety you have less people who are out there trying to buy drugs frankly or trying to um go and commit crimes in order to get access to drugs or people who have a lack of Mental Health Services they're life changing it was life-changing for me to reach out to them life has going good I'm happy I got umom my three of my sons out of four back in my life I got three grandkids they are so beautiful and another one on the way so and just being able to be a part of their life is means everything to me
