lieutenant chris lafrey with pinal county sheriff's office and we're part of the regional team for now regional swat we're a multi-agency large tactical unit today we are working on utv or atv deployments we work large venue events and also anti-smuggling events and with those the use of deploying from utvs or atvs has become kind of important for us the vehicles themselves are a lot smaller than what we're used to working out of they don't provide armor or cover to our guys so we're dealing with speed and mobility versus containment and security of an armored vehicle less is technically more if we can be slick but still take our required amount of gear we practice them now so that we have an understanding and a baseline on how we can use them in other areas not just large venue not just smuggling operations but things that we have not thought of yet such as active shooter scenarios you
