Oh my god. My hands are killing me. Oh my god. >> Your hand will stop with your hand. >> Let's see your hand. Lean up. Sit down. What's wrong with your hand? Tight [laughter] and get a finger in the cup. I need you to sit back. [screaming] >> She was arrested for public intoxication, a misdemeanor equivalent [music] to a ticket. Tildy 300 cents, but sufficient grounds for detention due to risk of harm to self or others. Next, a seemingly normal flight almost had to make [music] an emergency diversion because a passenger lost control of himself at 30,000 ft. I promise you nothing was happening in the timber. I happened physically. >> Promise you created a major disturbance on an airline in the air being placed under complies. >> All right. Screams echoed throughout the cabin. Passengers panicked and the flight attendants had to send out a distress signal before the plane's wheels touched the runway. What caused the atmosphere on this flight to change direction in the blink of an eye? >> Well, I don't know where it is. So, >> like I don't know what's going on. Like I have like a baby formula and >> here you go. >> We have people picking us up. I'm sorry for my wife's accent. What happened? Sorry. My bad. I got >> I know. She's just pissed off. I don't know what the hell's wrong. You know what? Over by what she's mad at. >> Anthony. Anthony, >> I'm talking to you right now. >> Like settle down, Anthony. >> Settle down. >> Anthony, if you don't let her talk to the other day, >> all right. Well, then don't call the right. >> She just wouldn't be quiet and she drank too many drinks on the airplane. That's good. You're fine. And she just she's pissed off and it's just she's not dead. I'm sorry for her actions. I really am. >> Have you had anything tonight? >> Yes, but I'm fine. >> At any point of physical between you two. >> So, what was this argument about or what happened? >> She was loud and quiet like >> Why was she upset with you? >> Police were waiting at the airport gate, but not because of any security threat from outside, but from someone who had just gotten off the plane. >> There was nothing. It's like the baby was crying and I yelled at my husband. Yeah, >> it happened. >> All right. >> I'm just like, >> you've been drinking though. >> Yeah. So, like, yes, I have. It was a [ __ ] like here. Here's my uh my portal. It was my goal. Being honest with you. >> Well, when they when the airline calls us, have us meet you. >> Oh my god. It's because you're being more than you should have. >> Okay. >> So now that's that's a problem. >> Okay. Well, what do I should do? I >> Well, we're doing an investigation. You're going to What you need to do is wait here, apply with my deputies, and everything will go well for you. >> Applying with your deputies. >> Everything you need. >> Listen. Listen. We're going to do what we got to do. You can pay for it squared away. >> Where's my grandma? I might have been loud, but I'm just saying she was she drank too much. I >> I can tell her that. I can tell her, bro. >> You know, I I respect you guys. I I didn't do anything wrong. I told >> Don't say you did. We just have to ask question. >> I'm just saying I told her not to drink or Jack Daniels and I told her not to, but they didn't realize. It's >> frustrating. >> It's so frustrating, sir. And it's like I can't do anything about it. It's close quarters. I got nothing to worry about. I'm a trigger. I'm so sorry. >> I honestly am. >> I really I promise you nothing was happening in between my husband physically. >> We got that. The problem is you created a major disturbance on an airline in the air. >> I went to the bathroom. That's all I did. I didn't do anything. >> You're yelling at me now and I'm just talking to you. >> I'm sorry. You're very intoxicated. I mean, no one ins. >> But the problem is you're intoxicated on a flight causing disturbance. Bad enough for the airline to call ahead and have us meet you. >> That's a problem. >> That's a problem. >> What I did right now, >> you're being disorderly and intoxicated. That's what you're doing. >> I didn't even get off my seats. >> So, it's going to be All right. So, we'll get the information. We'll get this done. >> Tensions flared in front of the child and dozens of witnesses. But when the police arrived, who was handcuffed and for what reason? >> She caused a disturbance on the airline 30 something,000 ft in the air. >> I know. Someone's got an [music] answer for that. >> I didn't do it. >> It was almost at the point where they're going to divert the flight. >> Oh my god. >> So yeah, that's a major deal, man. >> No, I know. >> So >> I on your side, >> but to hear from what I've been gathering from people that have been talking, the issue is not with you. Thank you. >> But we're going to get your information cuz we have to report on everything. >> I I just Can I >> Can we go on the front and get my kid and my mom? >> Yeah. Just give us a couple minutes. >> I'm so sorry. >> I get it. We need you to go where the flight crew is and get a statement. They're down there. Got to get them before they leave. >> Put your back. Put your wallet down. Put your hands behind your back. Hands behind your back. Place under arrest intoxication. Just give me your wrist and comply. >> All right. >> I didn't do anything. >> Yeah. Well, >> please >> tell the judge cuz you're going to jail tonight. >> Really? >> Yeah. Cuz you're being drunken this early. >> I know. >> Your kid, right? >> My husband. >> It has babies in there. >> Can you give this to the husband? I'll try and see if it's still there. >> Give it a shot. I didn't do anything. >> You're going to search it real quick so we can get her off. >> What's going to happen is you're going to get booked into Charlotte County jail for disorderly intoxication. They're not going to release you until you're sober. >> Um, we were beginning our descent and I was lead flight attendant, so I was up front. There were two flight attendants in the back. Um, the flight attendants in the back called up and let me know of a passenger in 30 A and C. Those are the two in question. Um, in regards to them being verbally aggressive to each other. Um, so I go back, I just do a walk through, do a walk, and then I see him grab onto her very aggressively on she was in the aisle. See, so her left arm right here, um, grabbed very aggressively and just put a lot of pressure and you could tell he was trying to be intimidating to her. Um, and then that's all the eyes physically saw. um two flight incidents in the back solved um just them being verbally abusive to each other and just being very verbally aggressive towards one another in a very aggressive way um throughout the entire situation. Um but that's all that I physically saw was him grabbing on to her. >> Would you say that any of them under the influence are intoxicated? >> Definitely the gentleman was intoxicated. >> The gentleman female was intoxicated. Um, I didn't assess her long enough to know if she was intoxicated or not, but I mean, I could clearly tell like they were not. >> No one expected a Florida vacation to end in jail. But when alcohol, anger, and altitude come together, the price can be more than a plane ticket. >> Basically, I'm going to go run through it real quick. Um, the two flight attendants are in the back. They um hear that there is a disturbance going on in the plane. They determined that it was the passengers on 30 A and C. They get a hold of you and tell you to contact law enforcement because it gets to the point to where it's concerning to them and they believe it's about to become physical. They're you're causing a disturbance on the plane. So you call us so that we could be here by the time that the plane lands in the Punagora airport. Correct. >> Correct. >> Okay. And then the male is intoxicated and then you said you were unable to assess the female. We did. She is highly intoxicated right now. So other than that, is there anything else that you wish to add, change, or delete from what you have just told me? >> Not that I know. >> Have we discussed anything off tape? We do not discuss on tape. >> No, that's it. >> All right. This concludes my statement. The time is 11:47. Same date. All right, sir. Let me give you back this. >> Thank you. >> According to Florida statute 856.011, disorderly conduct while intoxicated, is classified as a secondderee misdemeanor punishable by a maximum penalty of 60 days in jail, a $500 zero cent fine, or a combination of both. Police arrested the woman for disorderly conduct while intoxicated, a violation of the law, especially on an airplane. She was handcuffed, searched, and taken to the Charlotte County jail. Flying to the destination is easy. Flying away from the criminal record is a longer journey. Hey guys, what do you think about this situation?
