hey folks Pinal County Sheriff mark Lam you know over the last few years we've seen a reduction in the amount of human trafficking and drug trafficking coming into this country and that's thanks to President Trump and his administration and a lot of their efforts now you might be surprised what we've seen over the last four weeks since the corona virus has hit sergeant Brian Messing and what Pinal County Sheriff's Office and the anti-smuggling division so what we have around here is a typical layup area we heard people with smuggling laptop electrolytes he can carry two gallons of water at the same time being alcohol for myself these are smuggling is actually decreased dramatically with Colvin's this is the first major community and thoroughfare it's pretty much diminished to being tractor-trailer traffic right now there's no time to really blend in [Music] they're actually very concerned about coming into United States they don't want to come up here because they know we have it we never predicted it and past we could look at the history and say Easter time we a decrease or certain holidays we had decreased this year weeks before Easter we had a complete shutdown of smuggling [Music] the overseas companies and overseas countries have been shipping chemicals to Mexico that make the drugs with them being shut down that's caused a shortage we're gonna push it hard and the reason I say is because they're a company or business illegal drug trade and they they want to make their money I want to thank our federal partners our local partners and I especially want to thank all of our guys here on the anti-smuggling unit and here at the now county that work hard every day to protect our communities from drug trafficking and human trafficking into this country god bless and stay safe [Music]
