On March 21st, 2025, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle going well over the speed limit. Hello, Debbie Davidson. Sheriff's Office. The reason why I'm stopping you had you at 85 mph coming into the 45. Excuse me. Yeah, you you were at 85 miles an hour and you actually encroached into the 45 mph zone. Bad guy says 55. Even Even if the speed limit back there is 55. Yeah, that's what I was going on. No, you're going 85. Yeah, you're you're cruising. Do you have your license on you? Sure. This section now is 45, right? Right. Cuz I'm almost home. I've done. Thank you. Everything good with your license? No signing tickets or anything like that? I ride with you. Here's your license. Sorry. So, this is a citation for that speed. Okay. The 85 and the 45. It does not. So, with that, you don't get any of the three options. You have to contact this number on the front and schedule a court hearing. Okay? It doesn't allow me to give you a fine amount. All right? All I need from you is a signature. What do you mean? What you mean? Deputy Davidson. It's right there on the bottom of the citation right there. You didn't hear what I asked. You said, "What is my name?" I said, "It's Deputy Davidson." I did not ask you. That's what do you mean by that? It means you got to contact that number and schedule an appearance in front of the judge. The speed is too great for me to issue a fine amount because you're over 30 m hour in the roadway. One appears to be in Denver. So, all I need is a signature from you. It's not saying you're guilty. It's just saying you're going to contact that number and schedule a court date. That's all. I'm not sure if I should sign anything that I'm not supposed to. I'm just going to tell you a refusal to sign a citation is an arrestable offense. So, you're going to arrest me because I do not understand what you're talking about. I I don't understand what you don't know what I'm saying to you. I had your speed. Hold on. Let me call Let me call. Okay. So, this is the deal. You were doing 85 miles an hour in a 45. I just I just told you I am making a phone call. You listen. I'm not here to make phone calls. Okay. So, you want me to sign something that I'm not comfortable with and then I said, "Let me let me signing cuz you said you're going to arrest me for something that I do not understand why you're going to arrest me for. So, I need to call my family member." You don't have to call your family member. You're going to Yes, I do, sir. No, you don't. No. Yeah, sir. I'm telling you right now. Legal right. I have my rights. Okay. You're my right. Driving is a privilege, not a right. We're going to start out with that. So again, you were doing 85 mph and a posted 45 mph speed. And I said I was not. I was 55. We're not going to argue road sign. That's something that you go to a judge. Correct. And in this case, you don't get three options like a normal speed citation. You get the option of calling the number and scheduling a court hearing. At that time, you can make your argument with the judge that you were not speeding. Okay? That's the time that you get to argue. You don't get to argue roadside. Okay? I'm not arguing with you, sir. You are arguing. Okay. Okay. So, you're going on rescue cuz I'm not arguing with you. I'm not saying. Y'all know how I do my little midway pause. I don't understand. Why is it so hard for people just to do what the cop says? Now, I know in defense that sometimes people are afraid and they feel like they taking their power away from them and they're like, "Uhuh, you going to tell me what to do." If you know you was speeding and you know you was doing these things, just comply. He just said you went over 85 miles per hour, so you can't you don't get that third option. Call the court. And when you go to court, things may work out for you. Just make it simple, man. Just make it simple. But I got a feeling she ain't gonna make it simple. You're not I'm arrest I'm not saying I'm arresting you for not agreeing. I'm saying if you fail to sign a citation for a court date. I am picking up the citation. I But I'm not citing something that I do not understand. You want my supervisor to explain this to you? He's right behind. Do you want Do you want me to call my family member? And then he told me something that I don't agree with. He said, "If you do not agree with that, I said to you, you will go to jail." I said, "No, I want to call my family member to see what I'm going to jail for. I'm a citizen in here. What am I going to jail for? You give me sign, sir. You give me a citation, sir. I said I will comply. I gave you my license and everything. So, now you tell me you're going to bring me to jail. So, wait, was it 30 over? 85 and a 45. Okay. So, I was doing 55. Hey, listen. It doesn't matter if you're doing 55. It doesn't matter. You have to sign that, sir. Are you not going to sign it? Yes or no? No. Okay. And then I will go to the judge. Okay. I will go to the judge. They're not they're not designed to be comfortable. The woman was charged with refusal to sign a cit. All Tina Turner had to do was sign the citation and she would have been she would have been home. Probably would have went to court. Everything would have worked out. You know what I'm saying? Explain to the judge would have been over. It's simple as that. It's simple as that. And I knew she was not going to do it. And I knew that sooner or later she was going to use the race car. I knew it. I I knew it was coming on some things. Yes. But not everything. Then the cop said, "My wife black." I knew sooner or later she was going to say, "You going to do this because I'm black?" I knew it. Listen y'all, we can't use the race card on everything. on on on very some instances. Yes. But not on everything though. I'm just I'm just trying to tell you. But also too, he said something. He said, "My wife is black. I know a lot of people that are married to black people and still don't like other black people." I I know some personally, but uh I'm not going to say they don't like they have some problems with them. Let's put it like that. But it was so simple. That's all she had to do. And you know, I had to study my laws. That's the thing about it. We don't study laws in my state where I live. If you don't sign a citation, you're going to jail. I I didn't I didn't really think you had to do that until I look up the laws myself. So, this channel right here helped me in a lot of things because I started looking up laws and studying things for myself to see what uh what what are the victim rights and what the cops have, you know, what they side side of the thing, too. And I'm learning a lot from seeing these videos, but I don't understand, man. All Tina Turner had to do was just sign. She feel like she lost her power. That's all it is. And you didn't lose the power. You The man said you good. He talked nice to you. He said, "Man, just sign a citation. This is it. It is what it is. She made it hard for herself.
